Friday Night Document Dump Show Eric Holder Was Informed of Border Agent’s Death Immediately

Late Friday night, the Department of Justice (DOJ) released documents that show Attorney General Eric Holder was alerted of border patrol agent Brian Terry’s death the day it occurred- contradicting Holder’s statements when he testified before the House Judiciary Committee on May 3, 2011. At the time, Holder said he was informed of Terry’s murder only “a few weeks” before the hearing.
Matthew Boyle at the Daily Caller has the story:
“An email from one official, whose name has been redacted from the document, to now-former Arizona U.S. Attorney Dennis Burke reads: “On December 14, 2010, a BORTAC agent working in the Nogales, AZ AOR was shot. The agent was conducting Border Patrol operations 18 miles north of the international boundary when he encountered [redacted word] unidentified subjects. Shots were exchanged resulting in the agent being shot. At this time, the agent is being transported to an area where he can be air lifted to an emergency medical center.”
That email was sent at 2:31 a.m. on the day Terry was shot. One hour later, a follow-up email read: “Our agent has passed away.”
Burke forwarded those two emails to Holder’s then-deputy chief of staff Monty Wilkinson later that morning, adding that the incident was “not good” because it happened “18 miles w/in” the border.
Wilkinson responded to Burke shortly thereafter and said the incident was “tragic.” “I’ve alerted the AG [Holder], the Acting DAG, Lisa, etc.”
Then, later that day, Burke followed up with Wilkinson after Burke discovered from officials whose names are redacted that the guns used to kill Terry were from Fast and Furious. “The guns found in the desert near the murder BP officer connect back to the investigation we were going to talk about – they were AK-47s purchased at a Phoenix gun store,” Burke wrote to Wilkinson.
“I’ll call tomorrow,” Wilkinson responded.”

Holder needs a name change to Obama INMATE #1.
Gee, I wonder what Monty and Burke talked about the next day? They made notes, didn't they? Lawyers always make notes of their conversations, in my experience.
Of course Holder knew. Barry knew too. So did Janet and Hillary and Robert and all the other cabinet Secretaries. They were all in on it from the start.
The real question is this –
Why is the Silent Speaker, John Boehner, so vewy vewy kwiet?
Articles of impeachment should have been filed, voted on and sent to the Senate already, and we have a Speaker of the House who remains totally silent about it all.
It is time for John Boehner to speak. Past time.

May be so John. But I think he is keeping his head low because he knows if he goes missing… no one will miss him or be suspicious for months and months.

If only our candidates spent their time and money attacking holder's DOJ and obama's administration, instead of each other, this story might have been front and center.

My prediction- Holder will resign, make a plea deal, do 1 day in the hokey, and Obama will pardon him, all the week before the new president takes over

To know that the federal government would be more concerned about covering their own tracks when it leads to a federal agent's death than actually getting to the bottom of the problem and rooting it out gives me a very good idea just how valuable the U.S. government views my own life, my family's lives, and the lives of all its citizens.

I hope that there are enough disenchanted voters this fall to engender a change of direction in a more conservative direction in which there is a reduction in the size and scope of the federal government which will create a budget that is balanced. In so doing returning all the usurped powers to the states where it rightly resides.
It has been my belief from the very beginning that Obama was raised to believe that the legitimate ruler of the world is the SG of the UN. The Bamster's flirtation with the Oval Office is meant to weaken the single biggest future obstacle to him when he assumes the reigns of world power. He will cut the US down to size now so we will be less a thorn in his side later, then tell all the other petty dictators how virtuous he is because he does not favor "his own country" at their expense. Jimmah hasn't done near the damage post-presidency that Obama intends to do. Think about it, if he will give – not sell, just GIVE – the Russians our nuclear secrets now, what will he do to us later?

Wow….my heart breaks for Terry's family and for all of us. Betrayed in such a very personal way by the people that are supposed to protect us. This isn't about policy, this is about morality.
Charge him with perjury and deny bail.

That there exists a Republican Majority in the House and the Speaker remains Silent has to tell the entire population something. It has to tell them that, indeed, they are all in on it. When I say all, I do mean media as well.
If not for the blogosphere, NOBODY would know anything about this. Even then, it has taken a year and a litany of bombshell smoking guns just to get REPUBLICANS to hold "hearings".
Now, the impeachment word was shot across the bow last time and takes the sting out of something like that this time. It was established that Holder is indeed under oath, though I expect Issa to press that point again during Oversight. I also look for him to establish a lack of Executive Privilege. But the second's hearing has to bring more than that too.
Issa has to drop bombs and so do other Republicans on that committee, along with any self respecting Democrats. If they do not, if this is another dog and pony show as I suspect it will be, then even those who have been hopeful that Issa would come through will withdraw their support for him and his "investigation".
Republicans thought it a good idea to slow play this in order to use it for electioneering, but like Democrats, they underestimate the intelligence of the American people. Boehner, Issa, Grassley and the rest are about to see the tide turn against them as people realize that those folks are ENABLING Barry and protecting him – and unlike within the Demo party, libertarians and conservatives will hold accountable the enablers.
The folks have had enough, we are fed up. The blatant idiocy has to be dealt with, and dealt with seriously WITHIN this hearing. Serious sanction and impeachment articles have to be put on the table openly and honestly. Charges must be brought and there must be prosecutions. Now. Not next month, not next year, but now.

I think the critiques of Boehner here are very appropriate. Whatever you might say about Pelosi — and there's quite a lot to say — she never missed an opportunity to pounce on the Bush administration when she was speaker. Even when there weren't lives at stake and she was just making stuff up, she was still on the attack. She was a fairly effective speaker for the liberal cause.

This race baiting DOJ AG is nearing the end of the run for him. When is Rep. Issa going to start real legal proceedings against Holder. Helder needs to be criminally charged.

And then our beloved leader goes on to declare them in recess and appoint who he wants. And then signs treaties as 'exectuive agreements' so he doesn't have to pester congress with them. And then he finds new and even more inventive ways to 'restructure' the government, to remove those pesky troublemakers standing in the way of progress. And if they do get anything passed, he'll just ignore the law and the judges and do what he wants.
Boehner is wiping away his tears-over this happening on his watch as speaker.
