Eyeblast Hits The Streets – Reactions To GOP Plans To Repeal Obamacare
by MRC TVWe at Eyeblast.tv at the Media Research Center hit the streets of Alexandria, VA to ask people their opinions on the Republicans effort to repeal Obamacare, a vote which they expect to take place on January 12. On the flip-side, we wanted to know what they thought of the Democrats vowed effort to block the repeal.
Here is what they had to say:

Repeal it.
Repeal it NOW!
Repeal it and every other UN-Constitutional law, bill, department position etc! If it's not called for clearly in the constitution kill it!
Can't be done. NUDGE!!!
THIS IS THE 2ND OFFICIAL WHO HAS OUTLINED PARTS OF THE HEALTH CARE BILL
HE FINDS MOST EGREGIOUS.
Judge David Kithil of Marble Falls , TX
Please read this…….. especially the reference to pages 58 & 59
JUDGE KITHIL wrote:
** Page 50/section 152: The bill will provide insurance to all non-U.S. residents, even if they are here illegally.
** Page 58 and 59: The government will have real-time access to an individual's bank account and will have the authority to make electronic fund transfers from those accounts.
** Page 65/section 164: The plan will be subsidized (by the government) for all union members, union retirees and for community organizations (such as the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now – ACORN).
** Page 203/line 14-15: The tax imposed under this section will not be treated as a tax. (How could anybody in their right mind come up with that?)
** Page 241 and 253: Doctors will all be paid the same regardless of specialty, and the government will set all doctors' fees.
** Page 272. section 1145: Cancer hospital will ration care according to the patient's age.
** Page 317 and 321: The government will impose a prohibition on hospital expansion; however, communities may petition for an exception.
** Page 425, line 4-12: The government mandates
advance-care planning consultations. Those on Social Security will be required to attend an "end-of-life planning" seminar every five years. (Death counseling.)
** Page 429, line 13-25: The government will specify which doctors can write an end-of-life order.
HAD ENOUGH???? Judge Kithil then goes on:
"Finally, it is specifically stated that this bill will not apply to members of Congress. Members of Congress are already exempt from the Social Security system, and have a well-funded private plan that covers their retirement needs. If they were on our Social Security plan, I believe they would find a very quick 'fix' to make the plan financially sound for their future."
Honorable David Kithil
Marble Falls, Texas
All of the above should give you the point blank ammo you need to support your opposition to Obamacare. This is what our government wants to impose on us? Pure c r a p . Despicable c r a p .
The "end of life" portions have been removed (for now) from the law but the fact that any politician supports this travesty is a complete outrage. Don't give up fighting until this UN-American piece of garbage is given its end of life counseling and repealed once and for all. STOP OBAMA'S AGENDA.

Obama to have a sit-down with O'Reilly?

Should be intresting.
Repeal and Replace is right!
One of the toxic writers of ObamaCare, Frank Pallone, (D) NJ is talking on the floor of the House and he lies!
He's got a "dog in this fight" because he WROTE some of the ObamaCare Bill! He is spewing lie after lie (along with Garamendi (D) from Cal)
Pallone is using all the buzz phrases like 'saving money' and 'free for Seniors, etc They Lie! Repeal and Replace ObamaCare which has hundreds of new Govt. Agencies, and thousands of new Govt. Regulations in it!
It steals 1/6th of our Economy and a huge chunk of our Freedoms! Keep going Republicans! We're with you!
Some good comments by the folks on the streets. However, I do say repeal it and start over. One good thing would be to allow companies to sell across state lines and allow consumers to choose health care packages according to their needs. The elderly don't need maternity coverage and the young don't need coverage that appeals to the aged. Additionally, competition drives down costs.
After reading the post of W76, I say repeal it now and force congress to share both Social security and Medicare if its good enough for me, it damn well is good enough for the politicos and unions. Additionally we were told illegals would not share in this forsaken plan. Seems the dims lied as usual.
MRC is located in the heart of BIG GOVERNMENT – alexandria, va. SO who are the likely people they're interviewing: federal bureaucrats with bloated salaries, gold-plated benefits and no responsibly to actually do anything good for America.
Yep, sounds like the PERFECT sampling of people for opinions on the biggest government take-over in American history !
"Si, se puede pendejo!"
Go ahead, Obama, refuse to sign it. You have to refuse because you are an ideologue, but you can't because that would blow your little scamper toward the center. Oh my.
We need to take the Senate and the WH in 2012, or it won't matter what the people think or say or want. We know this.
Can you give the link for this info?
Was it five or six? Gotta love a little Eastwood as Dirty Harry! Too bad SanFran went away from that kind of attitude!
OK, then, bastardo pazzo.

"One good thing would be to allow companies to sell across state lines and allow consumers to choose health care packages according to their needs."
And make health care related expenses tax deductible. Simple to implement, immediate taxpayer benefit. Win win win.
This might help.

"All "Red States" secede."
And then re-adopt the Constitution as it stands. There are merits to this idea, and it may not be as unlikely to take place as people think.
We the people have freaking had it with the Feds. Screw them.
You know your stuff Washington! Nice job. Thanks!
Thanx
Read the second link carefully. It may be a hoax. Usually, I do a better job of research. I apologize.
REPEAL THE ENTIRE OBAMMY AGENDA AND IMPEACH THEM ALL! FROM BARRY ON DOWN!

Disregard my second paragraph. The letter may be a hoax.

Usually I do a better job of research. I apologize to all..
This isn't thei first time. He had Obama on when he was first elected. O'Reilly wants a good "get" for The Factor! but he is an Irish Catholic, so I'm thinking he was raised as a Democrat. He also has that "forgiveness" and "understanding" chip in his personality make up that allows him to talk with Obama. I couldn't do it, but he can.
Also, O'Reilly was invited and went to Obama's "Holiday Party " for the last two years. So they can tolerate each other. Let's see how they do this time. O'Reilly has moved more to the "right" (Glenn?) and it may be a bit more confrontational. One can only hope!
Please, for the love of Pete, stop calling this claptrap healthCARE. The is zero, notta, nothing in this bill that provides or improves upon healthCARE. This is a healthINSURANCE mandate. Otherwise, well done.
REPEAL IT NOW !!!! REPEAL IT NOW !!!! REPEAL IT NOW !!!!
REPEAL IT NOW !!!! REPEAL IT NOW !!!! REPEAL IT NOW !!!!
O'Reilly feels the Health Care Bill shouldn't be stopped, only revised with the GOP keeping the good stuff in it. I'm sure he'll be just as "soft" with Obammy like he was the last time and it wouldn't surprise me either that he expresses his support of some of the HCB to Obammy.
Like Laura Ingrahm once stated to Bill….."I thought I was supposed to be in the No Spin Zone!!!"
Force every American to buy health insurance or face a hefty fine…………wake up people….can you say,SLIPPERY SLOPE?
I'd rather have a pitbull than a pinhead go toe to toe with him…
Over 100 companies have done it already,……
and that with Obama giving the OK.
How many do you think will go the same way under a Republican president,….?????
In less than 3 years, like GWTW……..and frankly none of us will give a damn.
I just did!
The only reason Obama is going on the O'Reilly show,……..
is because the POTUS needs a popularity boost.
O'Reilly ('he's a stand up guy') will see that he gets it.
The bill has always been a travesty and GOP should never give up efforts to get this POS repealed.
Gawd……
with some of these trolltards it's like sending Hitler Youth to the Western Front in '45.
Hee-Hee…..
I just did!
Tee-Hee, Tee-Hee…..
Hardly worth the effort anymore.
Lots of people have told me what I can't do.
I like to find out for myself, 'cause they are usually wrong.
It's what I do.
O Reilly is truly tiresome with his "no spin zone" regarding what is obvious to anyone who listens to Rush and acknowledges that Rush is right about Obama and has always been right about Obama and always will be right about Obama.
This is attributable to the fact that O Reilly needs and wants access to 'newsmakers' in order to have them appear on his program. That is fine, but it does diminish his credibility; if he isn't willing to tell the truth about Obama, what else is he willing to fudge on in order to appear 'balanced'?
Miller told him as much when he said "I depart from you on this, Billy, I don't think Obama is a trustworthy man. I am kind of glad that Sade is back on the charts, because Obama is a smooth operator."
The only question he would have to ask Obama is "why do you have a chip on your shoulder about this country?"
Repeal it!
I like the way Progressives are dealt with in the new animated web movie A Not Too Grimm Fairy Tale… you’ll laugh your butt off as the truth about America is unveiled along with a new American symbol (weapon) – the Liberal “head-up-the-butt” person
http://www.marcrubin.com/Hairmerica.ivnu
GAWD, what a bunch of mealy mouthed people they found to interview. It is probably no coincidence that they are from Alexandria, which as I understand it is largely a government town.
IF they have no opinion with strangers, one can only imagine the circles they speak in when talking to each other. These are the people who work for government, who write laws, enforce regulations, etc etc…
Gawd!!!….
I don't like Obama and I don't like O'Reilly.
Won't be interesting.
Sorry.
No, thank you for your participation in these trying of times in our Republic. Remember, knowledge is power.
Can you say, statist?
Damned insulting to assume that "Alexandria" Va represents mainstream America! Anyone who lives within a hundred miles of that place knows that it is a sinkhole of liberalism! WTF? Do you guys need a bigger travel allowance or what? Even a poll taken in Richmond, VA would be more balanced than this POS "data point". Truly insulting!
It is a sinkhole of liberalism. The data is SOOO skewed! You are right to question it. It's a huge load of BS, and does not represent mainstream thought in this country.
My advice to the interviewers : try talking to some people in a state that is not on the coast . These states are infested with communists. As far as soetorocare is concerned , I will not sign up for it, and I will rejoin the underground economy. I will succeed IN SPITE OF gubment interference and intrusion. The feds can GO TO HELL !
Steve King: House GOP Serious About Pulling Obamacare 'Out by the Roots'

"The time is near at hand which must determine whether Americans are to be free men or slaves."
George Washington
It can't be done *right now,* but to the extent that those politically opposed to the healthcare law make their opposition a process (sending a bill multiple times to the President between now and November 2012), instead of a single transaction, repeal grows more and more plausible as the President's support of the law continues in the public eye.
in other words, repeal may not happen for two years. But, to the extent that the right side of the aisle is willing to keep up the pressure for that long, the prospect of its repeal upon the election of a new President who will sign the bill grows more and more real. Think about Scott Brown; without having declared his intention to oppose the healthcare bill, he wouldn't have been elected. We can find a "no man," for '12 just as easily.
Maybe it's just me but I don't think a Washington suburb is the place to poll people. Most areas around the capital are populated by people who make a living on taxpayer's money. With the new healthcare bill adding all those new agencies and jobs you never know who you are talking to.
the judge is honorable and wise
So I ask you…Do you feel lucky. Punk.
And????
As far as I know there is no federal restriction to selling health insurance across state lines but these decisions are made by duly elected state insurance commissioners. Mandates were put in place by state legislatures. I agree mandates need to go and selling health insurance across state lines is needed, but these are state issues not federal issues. Congress passing legislation on either of these issues would be another federal power grab.
Go ahead, Make My Day. And speaking of a dirty Harry:
http://cnsnews.com/news/article/senate-leader-rei...
Funny, the left didn't need 'to find a new lease on life' when they shoved it down our throats–but we need to when we throw it back at them?
Replace with SINGLE PAYER!!!!
I guess that I must be very impatient….I am now daydreaming about a complete military/police coup right here in America with Retired Gunnery Sgt Ermey leading the way. They would court martial and kick out of the country every last liberal/progressive in America and bar them from ever re-entering our nation. They would have a choice of destinations between Somalia, Iran or China. Can you imagine how good it would feel to be rid of the liberal scourge of the earth? It would truly be a Mastercard moment…..PRICELESS
A little hard to read. Never trust a dick with a crayon, which is clearly the mistake of HffPuff to send their drones here.
Hey Eyeblast…..go thru an airport scanner, have your junk fondled and travel to a flyover State and then do your polling. I guarn-damn-tee you will get a completely different but unanimous opinion. Stop being lazy. Maybe you are just wet behind the ears….
Watch…….
going back at least 45 years
Dear Mr. Breitbart:
Thanks for putting the little red thingy next to oldphoto's name.
Love,
Scott
Sorry there, but nothing is impossible, and repealing this bill will happen sooner or later.
Along with Healthcare, we need to drop the EPA, FCC, and other government agencies/dept. Not to mention cut all spending by half, and slowly phase out all entitlement programs. None of that is impossible, just not likely to happen with the progressives/liberals in power for now.
REPEAL is the ONLY ANSWER! DO NOT LET THE AMERICAN PEOPLE DOWN.
REPEAL
REPEAL
and did I mention REPEAL?
I have an Idea for a law- perhaps even an amendment to the constitution- Any law that is passed by over (hmmm, ok, I haven't perfected the idea yet) 85% partisan shall be tabled… I don't care which party, the means of getting this law passed was criminal. It showed me that even though I like to think (dream) there's morally incorruptable politicians, it's not true. Specially on the Dems side. Sorry folks you sold your souls to the Devil, and there's hell to pay in the city tonight!
I want Barry, Nancy, and Harry (I'm calling the by first name because I dont think they're the elitist snobs they think they are) to get the full brunt of the justice coming to them. I've got the perfect vision of seeing alll three (throw in Criss (Dod) and Barney (the purple dinosaur- kidding- Franks) for good measure) in orange jump suits before 2012. Seeing the action in the house today, it could happen. Stay persistant folks, give the US the justice she deserves- not Social Justice.
What would we do for entertainment? Get a life? (/sarc)
Not only will ObamaCare mean bad healthcare for everyone (except those government officials who are exempting themselves) and a massive redistribution of wealth from Whites to nonWhites, but also under ObamaCare we will be saddled with low-IQ, third-world, affirmative-action "doctors" and bureaucrats. The health care system will be run like a corrupt racial advocacy scam where the least qualified Blacks and immigrants will be given the fast track for employment in this soviet-style disaster. As a result ObamaCare will resemble a typical third-world enterprise: corrupt, incompetent, rude and TOTALLY unresponsive to the people it purports to serve. Whites will be especially discriminated against.
Too many people are just morons. Like the guy who says the country is close to 50% approval. The disapproval is over 50% and growing. The other guy who says "I think there are some good things about it" There is nothing good about it. It has already driven costs up and will reduce the quality of care for all. They had a majority yet did nothing to actually protect consumers. CBO distorts the truth about the bill claim it will raise the deficit.
http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/frazer.asp
eyeblast really needs to get rid of all that wasteful introductory BS at the beginning of their videos. I gave up before actually getting to the real content. This is the Internet age. Get to the point quickly!
It seems that support for "Obamacare " is growing. I say this not because of this eyeblast nonsense, but because of recent polling. Soon, you will be the one's going againt the "Will of The People". NUDGE!!!
Minute 2:21 "Perhaps it was rushed through a little bit quickly" No. No sir, it was rammed down our throats like a Trachea tube
REPEAL IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Never say never, oldphoto….btw I love your screen name….
you may be right because the Senate just ain't totally on board with a full out repeal. And what ISN'T being discussed here or many other places is the fact that if HC in this country was so fandamtastic before obamacare, why was it even possible to pass it. Even party loyalty didn't cut it with bills like cap and tax or global warming. Why did so many who were more than willing to oppose obama, pelosi and reid on these bills, vote for obamacare.
Cause everyone knows, if they are honest, that our old HC system was, while more flexible, still not cutting it for millions of americans denied coverage despite having paid years for their policies, denied coverage for preexisting conditions, and the system was as close to a monopoly as you could get given that only a few drug companies produce drugs, only a limited number of hospitals exist, testing facilities all buy their equipment from a hand full of manufacturers, etc.
It might be repealed, but I'd rather see it torn open, read, farmed out to committees and essentially put through the full legislative process of law making that a bill is supposed to be put through, debated both in committee and on the floor, and perhaps each section voted in separately.
It would take much longer to do that, and that's the rub. Much of the "payment" by taxation goes into effect this year. Much of the infrastructure is slated to begin being set up this year. And the cost of that will be horrific and once it's there and paid for, is it sane to just walk away from it?
Catch 22 or close enough. If congress would sit down right now and vow not to do one other thing but go through that bill line by line and come up with a BETTER BILL that addresses the problems we had BEFORE obamacare while ferreting out the "totally unrelated laws and taxes buried in the bill" then that I think would be the best of both worlds.
Over to you, Chet…….lol!
For the most part I can agree with you, and I see no point in starting the argument about who's fault it is that we don't have the health care bill that we should.
I agree again. The Japanese have a wise saying worth tucking in our belt for the next 20 years in this country, imo.
Fix the problem, not the blame.
We'd probably have the health care system we can and should have in this country if anyone had ever once tried that approach to solving the many complex problems that are inherent in any HC system. And just so you know….I KNOW it didn't get this way over one administration or even two. It's been headed for the cliff for decades.
I do believe the private sector can handle 80% of HC and through selective legislation, ie, tort reform, caps on costs, monopolies, AND a correlative individual state pool, much like the ones for chronic bad drivers, to provide for folks who can't afford pvt insurance, or some blend of the above will end up being the most sensible and effective compromise.
We should not have people who cannot get health care in this country. But we don't need to convert everyone to "one size fits all" in providing for those who don't fit any.
Here endeth the sermon, lol……
I wish that red flag wasn't attached to your post. I hate them. They speak to the same intolerance that conservatives have been accusing liberals of for two years. What, we can't be exposed different opinions? We're goose stepping like we accused house dems of doing? Anyway, I appreciate reading your take on many of the threads here.
ok….shutting up now….
softballs and marshmallows…and maybe a lil' asskissin'…clowns a pair…o'really doesn't have the balls to axe the hard ones…
whaaaa????? re-peel??? but it's free!!!!!!!!! we got it, whats in it????
that gun barrel stuck in my wreckum…is that part of HELLSCARE???? or is it the gubmint just he'pin' out???
