Jerry Brown On His First Gubernatorial Campaign: ‘It’s All a Lie… I Didn’t Have a Plan for California’
by MRC TVDuring an interview on the program “CNN Late Edition” in 1992 Jerry Brown (D-CA) admitted that nearly everything he said in his first campaign for governor of California was a lie. Here are Brown’s rather candid remarks:
Interviewer: You said something a moment ago that I have to follow up on and I have to draw you out on. You said you don’t have to lie anymore now that you’re not a politician. What did you lie about when you were governor?
Jerry Brown: It’s all a lie. You’re pretending there’s a plan…
Interviewer: What did you lie about?
Jerry Brown: You run for office and the assumption is “Oh, I know what to do”. You don’t. I didn’t have a plan for California. Clinton doesn’t have a plan. Bush doesn’t have a plan.
Interviewer: You said you had a plan for California and you lied because you didn’t have a plan?
Jerry Brown: You say you’re going to lower taxes, you’re going to put people to work, you’re gonna improve the schools, you’re going to stop crime… crime is up, schools are worse, taxes are higher. I mean be real!

How your words will come back to haunt you.
Jerry the Genius.
Are we supposed to believe now is any different?
He sure is betting on the fact that half the state is on medical marijuana and not paying any attention to how awful and dumb he is.
Moonbats never learned how to tell the truth and Jerry is the poster child for moonbats.
This should be TURNED INTO Whitman's ONLY campaign ad for the next week …
And yet the idiots in California will still vote for this schmuck. Whitman may not be the best candidate, but this guy is a proven jerk. What is wrong with Californians?
In spite of the fact that the lunatic-left d-crat socialists in the CA legislature have already morally, ethically, socially, politically AND economically bankrupted the state, there is still room for a lunatic-left retread like moonbeam brown to do even more damage, even without a "plan". He will certainly let the out-of-control socialist legislature continue to enrich themselves, while shafting every business and every taxpayer in the state. Whitman is indeed correct, compared to moonbeam, she is indisputably the best choice for the state, and the ONLY one who will actually try to protect the state and its citizens from the socialist, extremist legislature. Anybody who votes for moonbeam deserves what they get – but the rest of the people in CA (i.e. those who are responsible, hard-working, taxpaying citizens) certainly don't.
Wow, honesty from a politician is kind of refreshing…
A few years from now – when they drag Jerry's moldy, mummified corpse out of it's grave to run for "Public Advocate" or "County Dogcatcher" or whatever – he'll just calmly explain to Rachel Maddow that he was lying about those lies. Then she will roll over so he can rub her tummy and say "Who's a good girl?!"
As a Californian, if this Taqiyya asshole gets elected, I apologize to all other Americans for my living in a state of complete and utter morons.
No decent pizza? No wonder all the good Americans are moving out.
But you can probably find a kick-ass burrito.
I can't believe that the Whitman campaign never knew about this months and months ago, this should be made into a Whitman campaign TV add YESTERDAY!!
The bad thing is there are useless idiots that will vote for him….geesh
Unfortunately nothing any Democrat has said in the past seems to matter much. Usually like water of a duck. If it were Meg who made this statement, it would be the lead on all the news channels and front cover on the LA and NY Times.
40 percent of the voters know he is lying the other 60 are just plain stupid!
The air is clean and the water is safe, but we could have better pizza.
A Cali conservative? It's not too late to come here to TN or TX. That state will tax you at 85% to support their population on medical marijuana too "disabled" to work.
Nothing has changed. A man, no plan, California. No, it's not a palindrome.
You would think Whitman hired the ex John McCain campaign staff and we all know how that worked out!
"You say you’re going to lower taxes, you’re going to put people to work, you’re gonna improve the schools, you’re going to stop crime… crime is up, schools are worse, taxes are higher. I mean be real!"
And that is just what Californians are likely going to get…Good old Governor Moonbeam
I don’t feel sorry for them…
maybe MOOshelle will enact legislation to deprive him of sugary snacks
lol oh for God's sake….he was lying! what do you want from him? he's a liar!
Lying?? NO! Say its not so!
I may have too, but I hate to give up yet. But the 10% income tax and 10% sales tax it hard to take. If the government ever goes to a flat tax, by time the state of CA adds theirs, it probably will be 85%.
QUICK! Get a commercial together! It doesn't even need to be edited! Just put a "I'm Meg Whitman and I approved this message" on it, and place the ad buy now!
Reminiscent of boxing promoter, Don King's contradictory trial testimony years ago. "Yesterday I was lying. Today, I'm telling the truth."
He went further though, he said pretty much that no politicians have a plan. Must make Californians feel better.
It is a sad thing to see someone get a lot older without gaining any maturity. California…the land of lost boys.
I'm still amazed that the man actually has a commercial that contains the words, "insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results." What is doing the same thing over and over, learning your lesson, and then trying again 25 years later?
Moonbeam has never had a plan in his life. It's difficult to believe that CA with all its economic problems would vote such a scatterbrain into office. They must be hoping that BO and his communist trolls will bail them out with our tax dollars, along with IL and NY.
40+ % are conservatives, the other 50+% is on welfare.
Mad as hell yet California? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_qgVn-Op7Q

No doubt
Lived there 15 years. First had very good Pizza at a place in Pacific Beach but that was in the early 80's LOL. As far as what is wrong? The tipping point the Marxists want in our country has already happened there. The leaches that live of the government and vote now outnumber the hard working people that vote. That combined with the Moonbat Marxists that are in Hollyweird etc. throw every election the Marxists way. That is why we moved out in 1998. Most beautiful state I have ever lived in of course totally ruined by the Marxists.
Look hard at that failed state people. That is where we are heading if we don't stop the Soros Marxists. What are you prepared to do? Fight? Think hard the choice may have to be made sooner then you think.
but the rest of the people in CA (i.e. those who are responsible, hard-working, taxpaying citizens) certainly don't.
The ones I know many have moved out and I was out there a couple months ago and the rest of the good are preparing to leave. All that will be left are the very rich and the scum..
That great whooshing sound you are about to hear from California is businesses leaving after Brown is elected.
Be careful of what you vote for California. You will get more than you bargained for. Utah was named the #1 business friendly state in the US. There are 5 companies from California expanding here now. It is only a matter of time till they pack up and leave CA all together. I'm sure there are many more to follow. Your money, your jobs, your choice. Vote for more taxes and liberal Bull or Vote for reduced spending lower taxes and jobs. If you don't think CA is liberal enough, I have a few European countries I can recommend.
Meg Whitman endorses Democrat Opponent Jerry Brown for Governor of California.

Lex Luthor– with hair
PEOPLE OF CALIFORNIA! You can't possibly be thinking about voting for this CLOWN! He should be defeated in a landslide victory for Whitman! The Whitman campaign should be playing this video clip 24/7 on as many stations in California as possible!
Whoa, I can see myself talking in this video!
The truth is, I'm right: Government can't do everything. The economy rises and falls in cycles. Thugs commit acts of war against each other on our city streets. People make individual choices every day. The government just doesn't have the ability to social engineer a solution to every problem. It is best to let individuals solve more of the problems without government interference.
This is so obvious…. Jerry Brown is indeed a liar and he wants to be governor again? Hell NO! Over my dead body!
Meg Whitman is just as bad… Check out this video… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSn37TMXZO8
1. She was at a climate change cruise hosted by Jimmy Carter in the Arctic??? WHAT on earth?
2. She is a huge fan of avowed communist Van Jones?!?!?!?! Are you kidding me?
There is no difference between Jerry Brown and Meg Whitman. Like Glenn Beck said if the R and D do not represent constitutional conservative principles and values, then look at the independent.
Thank God for Chelene Nightingale! She is the only real Constitutional Conservative running for Governor of California. I will vote my conscience and I will vote for the Constitutional candidate.
Chelene Nightingale has my vote!!! Californians, you have a choice, check her out, http://www.nightingaleforgovernor.com/posts/time-...
Nightingale is the real deal!
I AM MAD AS HELL! AND I AM NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE! I WILL VOTE FOR CHELENE!!!
Well, at least she has one vote. Good job!
