Better yet, how many of these “mentally retarded” killers opted to save $50 dollars or more on their car insurance.
Last week, the FreedomWorks press department received a voicemail from a man identifying himself as Lance Baxter. This is what Lance has to say:

Lance Baxter (AKA D.C. Douglas) is a noted voiceover actor. When he is not making creepy harassing calls to groups like FreedomWorks, he is the voice at the end of the Geico commercials.

Let them know that you, in fact, are not a mentally retarded killer, but that you are now in the market for car insurance.

I urge all to write Geico and Berkshire Hathaway (holding company of Geico) demanding this person be fired from future work with Geico. I am seriously offended on many levels. I've seen some pretty crazy ads on this site and BigHollywood, also. Last month there was an ad to support NC's democratic senator Kay Hagan and her fight FOR Obamacare! I wrote the site administrators about being disgusted with this, but I didn't get a response besides a generic email saying the report had been closed. I haven't seen the ad since. Very weird.

Well this sucks … I was going to switch to Geico soon too since I'm currently with Progressive and recently found out the owner of Progressive is one of Soros' pets.
I called the number on the audio voice mail at approx. 9:15 CST, April 14th, and left a voice mail expressing my concern that civil dissent is to being harassed by disparaging remarks. I was polite and courteous. I also recognize his right to voice his opinion. Please don't leave rude or inflammatory remarks on his voice mail, which is what he wants.
I actually got through to his phone, he picked up and sounded pissed! I asked if it was Lance and told him that I just wanted to let him know that I called GEICO and demanded that he be fired. I recommend others call him while he is still dumb enough to answer! Just don't leave any messages comparable to his, we don't need to feed MSNBC any fodder. I'm pretty sure that that will be inevitable though, trolls read this blog.

The money I am saving by NOT being with the Government Employees Insurance Company (GEICO) I can send over to the Freedomworks folks to furnish more angst for the Progressives.

I just called GEICO, went through their maze of "push 3 for …." got to a rep and told him that I am in the market for insurance but will not be considering GEICO until they fire Lance Baxter. The rep said, "Thank you, have a nice day!" lol

These ads come off a larger data base of ads they are targeted to keywords in web pages. If BB has editorial control over them Im sure there would be contract stipulations for pulling them. I did this all during the elections and probably cost the Obama campaign group a pretty penny in the process. Pass this info on.

What happened to the 2nd audio clip?
As a current, (perhaps, not future) customer of Geico, I called the correct customer service number 800-871-3000, perhaps Mr. Baxter was kind enough to provide an incorrect number…? , and inqired as to the company's knowledge of this. The representative I spoke to claimed ignorance of the situation and promised to check into it. I was assured that his comments did not reflect company policy. I told the representatie to make note to management and marketing, that if his termination was not forthcoming, I would be changing carriers.
I'd rather it stay up, it just means BG is taking money from them and stealing away their business at the same time! However, I bet that GEICO will voluntarily pull their advertising eventually.

Not only did this idiot blast FreedomWorks, I went to his Facebook fan page and he proceeded to blast my hometown (Richland, Washington, home of the Manhattan Project/Hanford Site, which was instrumental in ENDING World War II), our high school logo, and the name of a restaurant that he apparently didn't mind eating at. What a jerk. I became his "fan" for five minutes so I could inform him what I thought of him (politely), then left. I love being able to do that!
I am keeping my policy for now but Idid call and demand Baxters dismissal. If they do not respond approprately.

After listening to the voice mail message left at the FreedomWorks press offices by one of the voices that represents GEICO in commercials (Lance Baxter, AKA D.C. Douglas), I find that being a GEICO customer is no longer as appealing to me as it once was so today I am beginning the process of finding new coverage. It may be unfair to punish GEICO for the private actions of a contracted employee but the fact remains that Mr. Baxter's repugnant message will spring to my mind every time I see the heretofore friendly Gecko, forever tainting the association between the message and the messenger.

FYI, I called Geico at 1-800-861-8380 and explained that i am a long term Geico customer and asked when they are going to fire D.C. Douglas for his hate speech. The customer support rep claimed not to know who D.C. Douglas was. When i explained, she said she would look into it. They put me on hold for at least 15 minutes and put a supervisor on the phone, who also was not aware of the hateful speech of D.C. Douglas. I emailed them a link to this blog and was told I will receive a response…will keep you all posted when i hear back.
Got rid of GEICO long ago. The name says it all. Same goes for "Progressive." Advertising is automated these days … basically Google scans the page for keywords and if there's a keyword here that fits one of their advertisers BAM an ad shows up.
So often when you come across an article or blog posting critical of a company, you'll also see that company's ad on the page. (of course I use Adblock Plus so I don't see any of these ads).
