Well.
If you think Steve Jobs’ funeral is worthy of protest (!), shouldn’t you maybe not want to use his one of his products to announce it? I mean, according to them, he gave God no glory and taught sin. (!) And yet, they will use his greatest innovation to spread the word of their protest. Couldn’t they find a Droid phone for this?

Hell is going to have a lot of Westboro Baptists in it, based on MY understanding of the scriptures. I suppose though, that is between God and them. I for one believe in a merciful God and everyone is in the same boat. The question is whether or not they repent when someone realizes they've sinned.

i pity you. You have so much anger that you can neither show restraint out of respect for the departed nor find humor in this wonderful little piece of irony. Instead of showing solidarity you belch forth a noxious and mean spirited, not to mention baseless, comparison with the clear intention of being hurtful. I think its quite sad that trying to insult others is how you bring meaning to your life which it seems to me has much more "commonality" to the behavior of WBC than anything here at The Big's.

I dont know what happens when people die. But I do think theyre held accountable for how they lived when they meet their maker—These Westboro people are going to have alot of explaining to do when they meet their maker. Theres two things in life I have the highest respect for–Electricity and Death–I know them both and I dont like either one–And I reckon I dont like these Westboro people either–What are the odds: some poor guy whos late on his way to the funeral falls asleep at the wheel and runs over as many Westboro members as possible before regaining consciousness? No need to apologize. Anyone who has taken the time to learn even a small part of WBC's history realize they are not speaking for anyone but themselves and that their so called church is nothing more than a cult made up of brainwashed family members.
Those who do not know WBC's history are simply willfully ignorant. The information is out there for anyone to learn and WBC's story is not pretty. One of Phelps' own sons, Nate Phelps who left the cult at 18, writes and speaks out extensively about his father and his family and the abuse all of them have been subjected to since childhood. Not surprisingly he's turned into an avowed atheist; I'm sure having a father like Fred helped that decision along.

(typed in sarcasm mode) The picket schedule is the first thing listed on their website. No listing for Steve Jobs funeral when I checked. There are however quite a few scheduled pickets of high schools and universities. There are also some links to related websites that (judging from the addresses) are probably are filled with the same hate and self-glorification as WBC's site is. Hmm, I wonder when they will realize that they are actually doing what Satan wants them to do. The last time I checked our Father is a God of love.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Protesting at ANYONE's funeral is a travesty–but in their case, I'll make an exception!
They are truly a pitiful lot. I couldn't bring myself to do that to anyone that dies, let alone our military.

I was always taught "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" – especially when Steve Jobs' family is mourning his recent loss! How dare they not acknowledge all the wonderful innovations this amazing individual introduced to bring our lives and the learning capabilities of our children to such an amazing level. These are really sick people, and I don't want to be anywhere near any of them when judgement day comes. I truely believe that anyone that makes a mockery of the death of such a talented individual that gave so much to the world will be the first ones to be thrown into hell's fire.
