DC Bank Protest: So, SEIU Now Owns the Cops Too?
by Mike FlynnAs you know, last week SEIU staged a protest at the home of an attorney for Bank of America. On a quiet Sunday in the Maryland suburbs of DC, SEIU sent 500 protesters onto the front lawn of the home of Greg Baer, a former Treasury official in the Clinton Administration. Mr. Baer wasn’t at home but, unfortunately, his 14 year old son was. The protesters succeeded in terrorizing the boy.
Let me quickly digress to point out that Bank of America is SEIU’s largest creditor. Under the leadership of Andy Stern, SEIU leveraged itself to the hilt, largely to support Democrat campaign efforts, and now owes the bank around $100 million. The loan payments are likely playing havoc with the union’s finances. (Rich that SEIU thinks it has a credible voice on financial reform, given that their own behavior is a set-piece for much of what went wrong.) Coincidence that the bank is the target of a comprehensive and coordinated protest from the union? (Dear Bank of America, Call the loan. Today.)
There is much to say about this protest, but the most fascinating part to me is the role played by the police. It seems the DC police followed/escorted/shadowed the protesters into Maryland. They may or may not have notified the Maryland police, who may or may not have been on the scene while the protesters stormed private property and terrorized a teenage boy. Yesterday, Megyn Kelly of FoxNews interviewed law enforcement officials from DC and Maryland and asked many specific, hard hitting questions.
I’m not going to say the law enforcement officials are lying in this interview. They parse their words expertly. When Ms. Kelly backs them into a corner, they shift the focus to irrelevant parts of the story. But, saying they aren’t lying here is a distinction without a difference.
There are a few points to be made.
First, the DC police official says emphatically that their police officers did not cross into Maryland…except when they did. It seems one of their officers, according to their official, made a wrong turn and didn’t fully understand the DC/Maryland border and may have ‘briefly’ been inside Maryland. A wrong turn and a brief excursion through the Maryland suburbs is hardly worth mentioning if that is all that really happened. No one would notice, nor remark on, an errant 30 second diversion through Maryland streets. This story has the classic feel of a diversion; a pat, simple excuse to cover up any other behavior that comes to light. Any future eyewitness accounts of DC police cars at the scene? Yeah, that was that one cop who didn’t know her jurisdiction’s borders and was ‘lost’.
Second, the Maryland police official says, contrary to other statements made by his department, that they were immediately notified by DC police that the protesters were entering their jurisdiction. According to the official, Maryland police met with DC police at the border to get a situation report and then proceeded to the protest. When they arrived, the official claims, the protesters were already dispersing.
Remember that the official says that the site of the protest is “one or two blocks from the DC border.” Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot…
Fourteen buses start crossing the Maryland border (at which point we’re supposed to believe the Maryland police were immediately notified), they find parking on residential streets, unload their protesters, assemble 500 people on a private lawn, engage in threatening verbal abuse long enough to force a 14 year old boy to lock himself into a bathroom…and the Maryland police get there as they are dispersing? Is their police headquarters in Delaware?
Thankfully, I don’t live in Montgomery County. This is the kind of public safety and police protection for which they pay ridiculously high property taxes? They get a ’situation report’ that 500 protesters are targeting a private citizen’s home and they send 3 police officers? Really? They could only spare 3 officers on a Sunday in Montgomery County?
I hate to say this, and I will no doubt be attacked for it, but stories like this make one feel that the police are not on our side. A few weeks ago, police in Quincy, Illinois deployed a full contingent of riot police to deal with a couple hundred tea party protesters who where singing patriotic songs on public property. In Maryland, 3 police officers police watched as 500 union thugs stormed private property in an act of intimidation and did nothing because, as the police official notes, there weren’t any “no trespassing” signs at the property. (I wonder if he has “no trespassing” signs at his home.)
Sometimes it is the small story that illuminates the overall narrative. Let’s dispense with all the semantics and timelines and legalese. Last week, 500 union thugs descended on a private home and terrorized a teenage boy. They violated someone’s most personal space, their home. And they attacked their most precious gift, their child. The police in two jurisdictions knew about this. They did nothing.

SEIU needs to be investigated under RICO and the leaders put in jail!
As I've said before, this is a reason why ALL public emplotee unions have to be disbanded NOW.
Suggestion to all law enforcement folks from here on out. With the web, smart phones, bloggers, instantaneous news that now dominates our society, it would probably be wise for you folks to 1) respond a little more quickly to matters such as this 2) understand that if you give preferential treatment to any type of group regardless of their political affiliation, you will likely be called out on it, and 3) probably should get better spokespeople for your group so if they are going to lie straight to the reporter on camera, it's not quite so obvious. "The police did not witness anyone on the man's property". Really? Are they blind or so slow to get somewhere that 500 people have time to assemble, shout things from a bullhorn and then "peacefully" leave before the officers arrive.
Looks like O is slowly getting the civilian army he desires. Piece by piece it's all coming together. We have one union protecting and promoting another union, big shock there.
These thugs will stop at nothing even hurting a child as long as they get their way. I still feel sorry for the teenager, no child should be hurt this way. They would NOT pull this on my lawn because I wouldn't wait for the police to get here.
You can be certain that the cops in DC and MD are unionized, and are fellow travelers with the SEIU. To expect your rights, as a private citizen, to be protected by union goons is simply a bridge too far. I recommend a shotgun! Of coarse if you attempted to protect your private property, then the cops (union) would send in SWAT.
I agree BoA should call in their note, that would be great fun!
The concept of,….. "Citizen Journalists",….is now well rooted in our daily lives,………….
Will the concept of ,………"Citizen Police",………….also be required,……………….??????????
To me, this is devastating to see and it absolutely damages my view & trust in other Americans. To go to a family's home and violate the sanctaty of the families home in this way is just appauling! And the fact that this family had NO PROTECTION against this. It absolutely breaks my heart to know there was a kid in the house AND SURROUNDING HOMES to witness this. What about the neighbors and their privacy? You want to protest this guy because of where he works – GO TO WHERE HE WORKS!!!! How dare this people involve his family and neighbors in THEIR problem!
Does this mean the MD police can change their uniforms from blue to purple?
It looks like WE THE PEOPLE are now on our own!! The president is supposed to PROTECT the citizens of this country and he refuses to do so..IMPEACH NOW!!!
"stories like this make one feel that the police are not on our side"…. Mr. Flynn, I am not going to give you heat for this, because I happen to agree with you. The police are on the side of their Masters, the State. The State is turning into a dictatorship before our eyes. Remember, the Nazis, Commies, and all other authortarian regimes have police to selectively enforce the laws. I am sure the cops of those regimes justify their actions in a similar method. Unions should not be in Police Dept. or in the Government.
I say they'd better be glad they were protesting in the north, try that crap in Arkansas and the 14 year old is just likely to open fire on the miscreants.
Anybody want to bet it is against ordinance to put up no trespassing signs of the size and frequency necessary to "properly inform" statute here require they be of certain size, height, frequency and at the border of the property. Since when do crimes have to be witnessed by the police to be crimes? Right now my neighbors have a bunch of bushes that aggrivate my alergies I think I will go stomp them down at least until the cops show then I'll peacefully leave No Harm No Foul
Where I live, no one would dare show up on ANYONE's property like that, because they would almost certainly get shot.
And you know what, if union thug cops are involved in aiding and abetting trespass and harassment, guess who I'd shoot first? When police act unlawfully they are committing a worse crime than a civilian doing the same thing.
Every time something like this happens it reminds me to go pick up some more 12 gauge shells and some more .30-06.
The day swiftly approaches. If you want to be protected and have no self defense training, get trained now. The only one who will really protect you and yours is YOU.
Get both firearms and unarmed training, you never know where or when you might need either, just ask Kenneth Gladney.
WTF?!? I am so angry after watching this! It's taking the "if a tree falls in a forest" question too far! If a cop doesn't eyewitness a crime, there is no crime – that's how it is now?? At least I'm glad we have Megyn Kelly and FoxNews bringing this to the surface. Grrrrr! Poor kid, too. CALL. THE. LOAN.
lol, a little Roundup might help your allergies.
Willfull blindness of the cops. They are slow and justify themselves.
Seiu employed veiled threat and intimidation implying violence to this individual and/or his family, which could be related to seiu's current debt of over 91 million to BA. IMHO there are definitely grounds for a court case based on Tort and civil law. The Maryland police captain's statement seems a bit flimsy. But what can you expect in this day and age from politically motivated police departments. Take notice that the police arrived late at the scene. To me this entire sham was to well planned to allow the defenders of justice to arrive just minutes after all the shock and awe.
BA is portrayed as the bad guy because it's a bank and all banks are bad. Whereas, in reality seiu is the bad guy. The big, bad bully who uses or implies physical damage toa person or property to get his way. I hope this is pursued into court. This type of thuggery is not to be condoned
The Press who report these stories needs to attach the word "government" in front of the word union when they discuss SEIU, so those who are not quite paying the same attention to all of this understand that it's government employees staging these BS protests.
"I’m not going to say the law enforcement officials are lying in this interview."
Fine. Then I will. You are lying Capt. Stark and you are a disgrace! How big an envelope did you find with your donut's the next morning?
Better still, how much is the over bloated pension you are expecting in a few years? 100k a year? 125k a year? 150k a year?
What's your price pal? You are obviously for sale.
"Did not rise to a level of criminal violation"? You sir are a walking, talking criminal violation. Just another dirty cop.
I think we have our answer. Who knows? Maybe this interview will be replayed in a court of law on behalf of somebody's defense. Somebody who presumed after watching this video that yes, you are on your own if a mob shows up at your door. Take any action you deem necessary.
And Capt Stark. Do you really think that if a fourteen year old boy would have said, "I'd like you folks to leave now." that the crowd would have dispersed immediately?
SEIU is the thug muscle for Obama. What kind of person is the President? Why does he use violent groups to advance his agenda? The issue with Shore Bank, CCX, the Gladney beating, the Sestak bribe, Tony Rezko and Obama's plan for a global government make me think the crooks are in charge in Washington. Media, where are you?
Welcome to the rise of the police state, you can't photograph them, you can't question them, and they can lie whenever they please, under oath or otherwise. Everyday you see it more and more, police lying on reports, intimidating the public, abusing the law, or even in more recent event being the drug pushers and criminals themselves. What happens to these corrupt police, they get protection, they get promoted and sometimes they get off without anyone noticing. WHY DO YOU THINK OATH KEEPERS IS SO BIG!! CORRUPT POLICE!
Note to future victims of this strategy:
Lawn sprinklers are an effective defense against this kind of protestor. not only would it have been effective in dispersing the crowd from the property, it would have been the first shower many of them had recieved in a while
The last two paragraphs really send it home.
Its beyond disturbing…. And lets not leave out the media complicity in all of this.
"stories like this make one feel that the police are not on our side."– I worry about this, too… and I think there are a decent number of people here who feel the same way.
We're on the side of Freedom and Liberty, and those principles will triumph.
The chief kept saying, an officer had to see it or personally observe it before they could take action. So I guess If someone robs a bank, they can't use the bank video, and the criminal would get away with it if no officer observed it. Maybe there is some kind of regulation, rule or something there, so evidently unless an officer is there to see it, it didn't happen. If this resident had been home, came outside with a gun, started killing these trespassers, and there were no officers around, I guess you would have a bunch of dead people, the cops would have shown up, the media would show up, ask what happened, and the officers reply would be, nothing. STUPID! This is the way your reps see you, if your not invisable, you don't exist.
Mike Flynn, I can only assume that you do not know very much about the choreographed nature of protest in America over the past 30 years. I know the organizations involved intimately. I have been an organizer for National People's Action organizations in Ohio and Michigan. And I have worked along side SEIU organizers in Ohio and Wisconsin. NPA and their affiliates have used the tactic of going to officials homes since the 1970's. The choreography is detailed. First – you ask for a formal meeting (usually several times); then you publicly go to the official's house. If there is no one home – then you go door to door and talk to the neighbors – the goal of all of this is to get a reaction from the official. The reaction desired is to get a formal meeting. And subsequent meetings are mass public meetings in large meeting halls.
The home visit is a tactic that is only used when we are being ignored. If you are organizing for change and social justice (I know how you guys hate those concepts) – the one thing that you cannot afford is to be ignored.
I don't agree. They're idiots, but even idiots have freedom of association under the Constitution.
Now, hitting them in their pocketbooks–i.e., NOT bailing out their grandiose pension plans–would be more than fine with me! (And constitutional, too!)
Union members first, cops second.
Looks to me like the police made sure they got to this home after the protest was over, they knew when SEIU arrived an just waited , an what is that about if the police didn't see it then it didn't happen ? that is what this cop is saying.
A true picture of the Kenyan Marxist and the kabal of thugs, liars and criminals that wish to prance in his evil shadow. The joy of their demise is soon to come.
BOA call in the note.
Thta is why Obama needs his Civilian Army … to make certain we don't get uppity and become citizen police.
I do hope you are so dead wrong,…..but,………
Exactly what is "social justice"? And in the case of Bank of America executive Bauer, what right does anyone have trespassing on an individual's private property? I think one thing community organizers need to understand- that there are people in this country who will vigorously protect their family and property- this person included.
This article sure points in that direction
If the police are the thugs what other choice will we have?
Dereliction of Duty – plain and simple and obvious.
Oh we aren't going to ignore you. We are going to defeat you.
And if you guys decide to "organize" on my front lawn, prepare to dodge bullets.
So if the three policemen, armed, were a bit reticent in the face of such a large crowd, how does the officer think the young man in the house must have felt?
I think there's a case to be made, based on the officer's defense of his men, that if grown, trained, armed men were intimidated by these "peaceful" protesters, then there is very likely some disciplinary action needed, or remedial training required for his men. They are obviously having trouble identifying "peaceful" people and feel somewhat intimidated by them.
The constitutionality of their "freedom of association" is very debatable. I do agree that not bailing them out is a fine idea, though. If we were to bail them out, that money will just be spent on more advocacy.
The arguement against unions is simple. If you have one parasite negotiating with another parasite over how to divide the fruits of the host, the host eventually dies. That's us. We are the ones that are to be served. We should be negotiating contracts, not elected officials. At the bare minimum, we should be able to sit in on negotiations. That will never happen as it would expose the corruption at its most basic level.
…..Here is the Obama regime's "Civilian Defense Force" at work. The IWon's version of the Nazi SS.
Mark my words: SEIU will be the "straw that stirs the drink" – and that drink is a toxic mix of violence, lies and greed that Obama will use to turn the United States into a war zone between patriotic Americans and the socialist "workers of the world" (Andy Stern's words).
Do those ANIMALS have no shame? Going to a person's HOME???? Do we all need "No Trespassing" signs in order to have a REASON to protect ourselves or have law enforcement on our side?
Every state needs to pass a Castle Doctrine so people can use their 2nd Amendment Rights to protect themselves and their families and property.
How do you squeeze 500+ a*holes onto a single property? Did any of them trample bushes, shrubs or flowers? If so, SEIU needs to be billed…or sued for reimbursement.
And the poor kid…is he going to need therapy? If I was 14 yrs old and saw 500+ angry douche bags on my lawn, I'd be freaked out by it.
There has to be a way to protect ourselves, since obviously, law enforcement (union members) won't do it for us.
What a horrible time our country is immersed in. Our founding fathers are rollling in their graves.
Thanks, Barry Soetoro, for all you do…and DON'T do. (i.e. Gulf oil leak, illegals, transparency, SEIU deals).
I don't see how the freedom of association is debatable, even by the most gymnastic linguist. If you start ignoring the Constitution you become lawless like them. They can freely associate, but they aren't constitutionally required to receive a single taxpayer dime. That is how you cut the head off the snake.
So where is the documentation of all the times that a meeting was requested of this official, and why was a meeting with him desired, when neither he nor BofA have done any subprime lending since 2001….?
The DC and Maryland cops should be investigated. If proven they lied then the hammer should fall.
Unions work like this, lie and deny, lie and deny…
I doubt you are aware of this, even if you guys have been doing it for decades, but doing such things on private property is against the law. Why not just go to the building these people work at instead. Besides, you union guys scared the hell out of a young teen who was home alone. There is nothing moral or just about anything these unions just did, and having the police on your side just makes it worse.
How would feel if a union came to your private property to protest you and you unable to do anything about it except for your family in fear of what might happen.
To add to it, Social Justice is just a pipes dream. What ever happened to Equal Justice. All you unions do is say "gimme, gimme", without a thought of how your actions affect others. Why dont you union idiots, take responsibility for once in you life and admit to your members that its your fault that you cant afford them to work anymore.

My point is not the freedom of assembly. People can assemble peacably anywhere, any time. It is whether or not unionization is constitutional. I maintain that it is not. I'm a carpenter (at least I use to be), not a lawyer, so I would appreciate input from someone more knowledgable than I am.
That being said, I believe that the most important reform that this country needs is a return to the principles in greatest governing document ever written.
The police do not protect you or your property, they write reports after the fact. This is why is may become necessary for civilians to arm and protect their families and property. Let the police write the reports after the fact.
Exactly. "Social justice" is injustice.
Why not state it the way they really mean it, it's not social justice it's SOCIALIST "justice".
We mostly agree, and may even agree from an academic standpoint that founders' intent would not allow for public sector unions, but realistically, they aren't going anywhere from a legal standpoint. However, with some backbone in DC (I know, prob not realistic), they can be financially starved to the point where they have to swallow some tough pills.
I agree a return to first principles is necessary. What really gets me about this is the police involvement. Hardly improves the ominous outlook in this country.
We can simplify Social Justice to this. Social Justice = We steal from you, and keep for ourselves.
There is nothing moral or legal behind Social Justice, its nothing more than redistribution of wealth with a different name.
Police belong to 2 brotherhoods, the police force and their union. They have refused to cross picket lines of fire unions on strike. This indicates that they have a closer relationship with unions than they have with those who have hired them. We pay for their salaries and they are supposed "To protect and serve" us, the ordinary citizen. The incident of this latest SEIU thuggery points to a pecking order of who gets police protection (police before unions, unions before civilians.) OBTW, don't forget to pay your taxes. Remember it is the taxpayers responsibility to pay his/her fair share so we may all enjoy police protection from the big bads out there, no matter what union they belong to.
andy "scumbag" stern should be arrested along with the IGNORANT SHEEPISH THUGS that were on Mister Baer's property. Scumbag stern has been quoted saying "we will use the power of persuasion. If that doesn't work we will use the persuasion of power". Another quote: "we watched how they voted. We took names. We know where they live". Any two-bit lawyer could use those words to prosecute "scumbag stern". Now remember, that this is the same SCUMBAG organization that wants CARD CHECK. Now you know why! Mister Baer's only mistake was that when he called the police, he should have said, "I have a gun and I am going to start shooting". He would have seen a flurry of police cars rushing to his address! I'm glad that wasn't my property, because I would have exercised my right to protect myself, my family, and my PRIVATE PROPERTY! SIGN OR NO SIGN! Sadly, I see this DESPICABLE seiu display as a preview of things to come thanks to this president, and the IGNORANT FOOLS that voted for him!
4Constitution
Exactly….You would have have turned on your sprinkler system…
No violence… The "all wet" Union freaks scurry back to their busses and be gone..
I do not wish to make this comment adversarial, but there is quite a contridiction in your last post.
"…and may even agree from an academic standpoint that founders' intent would not allow for public sector unions, but realistically, they aren't going anywhere from a legal standpoint."
If we are to return to first principles, shouldn't the founder's intent be a large part of determining the Constitutionality of an issue?
Are you flippin kidding me??? Social Justice? Who are you to invade someone's private life for your "social justice?" You may have your opinions and voice your opinions but when MY RIGHTS (or the rights of this family and their neighbors) are being stomped on because of your opinion there are some serious problems! You can TRY and justify this all you like but the fact of the matter is that this MOB terrorized a young boy who is part of this man's family. Neighbors lives were inturrupted and THEIR children were affected by this "social justice" protest. Where families live – that IS NOT the VENUE for this organization's "social justice" protests!
It's on video. The police can see that disorderly conduct happened. The law was broken. How cut and dry do we need to be.
Another question needs to be asked: were there any complaints called in by the neighbors? Guess what policemen, this group was disturbing their "peace" as well.
And here I thought law enforcement were supposed to be protectors of the people. That day is ending in and around the DC area apparently. If I was a neighbor who called in this event, I would check back with the police to make sure the law was being upheld….just saying.
Good God, have you ever seen two bigger shyster thugs in your life?
These two guys are currupt.
They allow the upholding of the first amendment…BS
I don't think 500 people standing on someone's front porch is covered by the first amendment.
Listen to what these two goons said. "We wanted to make sure the protesters were safe".
From who? The 14 year old kid that was alone in the house at the time?
Obama's domestic police force will start with SEIU and the other bailed out unions will follow.
Be calm Americans, November is just around the corner.
They…are hoping for an "over-reaction" from someone, like a Timothy McVey.
This cannot happen. I promise you that "US" not becoming violent is driving them crazy.
Stay Calm but stay Vigilant!
Obama can see his big plan beginning to fall apart so now he must really turn up the heat on us.
Sorry Obama, we are smarter than you gave us credit for. You and your ilk are the dumb ones for thinking you could pull this off in our own backyards.
Your'e just a big fool!
Viva La Novembre'
Talk to a lawyer – it is not trespass until the property owner asks you to leave. And when a homeowner asks these NPA groups to leave – the practice is to back off to the sidewalk.
Great, so I guess when the KKK showed up at a house–that was a home visit as well? Maybe the KKK felt like they weren't being listened to?
What's the difference between the KKK showing up at someone's house and terrorizing them and the SEIU doing the same thing? Please respond.
When I herd Bammy during the campaign talking about his desire for private army as well funded as the Army my jaw hit the ground.
I'm not the type to screech 'He is worse than Hitler' like those left-wing loons did for eight years during GWB's time in office, but the private army bit reminded me of the private empires the high ranking NAZI's would build up.
I don't understand how anyone could vote for this fraud.
I guess the police were looking the other way anticipating snarling, crazed Tea Partiers to descend on the peaceful union demonstrators in a display of racist, xenophobic, homophobic and anti-government blood lust. Gotta protect those peaceful demonstrators. To hell with Greg Baer's private property rights!
I don't think that anyone who is an official with a bank or a public official (the kind of folks who generally get targeted) is going to take that kind of position. Generally, they let the police do their work for them. But the police only get involved when law is broken. Visiting is not against the law. Trespass is when you are asked to leave and do not go.
Obummer's Brownshirts, now outfitted in purple.
Man, that thought really opens up the issue for some serious debate. I think that we need that bar right now. The problem is quite a few miles between favorite hang-outs.
Quickly, the down side. Does a citizen police force lead to vigilantes?
The other side. Everyone has the right to protect themselves. I lean towards self defense. I guess it comes down to the level of response and since common sense is not so common……
Good point, I agree with you.
Ignoring them is much more effective than fighting back and they know it.
Fighting back is exactly what Alinski wanted and what they want.
Stay calm, but stay vigilant!
Alinsky's Rules on Tactics: Make sure that the tactic is within the experience of the people you are organizing (in other words – something they are willing to do); the second rule is – go outside of the experience of your enemy – go where he does not expect you – do what he does not expect you to do.
Hate to call these guys liars but that's exactly what they are.
I have a very good team of lawyers, they are called Ruger, Smith and Wesson. Now, how about 'splainin that social justice thing. I have a feeling it has something to do with redistribution of wealth, but heck, you are the community organizer with all the answers.
Your missing something big here, and its very obvious. The owner of the home wasnt there, and the kid was scared out of hell cause of this mob. Then to add, the guy you are after on here was nothing more than just a lawyer for Goldman, not a CEO or someone in actual corperation rankings. Are all unions this dumb.
Just to face facts, yes, it was trespassing, and there is no getting around it. Besides, from the looks of it, they were not there for a mere visit either, but as a group ready to riot at anytime.
Trespass is when you are on someone else's property uninvited, without permission, and doing something that the owner doesn't approve of.
I'd like to see the SEIU try this crap down here in the South. In my state (which is a "Castle Doctrine" state) I can shoot Purple People Beaters on sight on my land with impunity. And don't think I wouldn't.
What this SEIU thuggery does is make a compelling argument for banks to relocate their headquarters to Southern states.
Exactly. When I was 14, I and my sister were latchkey kids. We were instructed NOT to open the door to speak to strangers. So if 500 strangers came to my door, the LAST thing I would have done is open it and ask them to leave!!! I'd have locked myself in the bathroom, too! I'd have called my next-door neighbor in a panic, too!
We are for the redistribution of wealth – most Democrats and certainly all organizers are.
Where is the ACLU in all of this? Don't they crow loudly that their purpose is to defend peoples' civil rights? Or does that only apply to certain people?
Here's another question: Do we not have a right to be secure in our homes from union protestors, or has that right suddenly disappeared under the Obama regime?
After this disgusting display of police favoritism towards the protestors and against the innocent homeowner, the next time these union thugs want to protest on private property, the results might surprise them.
Exactly. Unions are a thing that no longer serves a constructive purpose anymore and have long outlived their usefulness. They only exist to transfer wealth from workers to the Democrat party. People who are union workers these days are either on the public employee gravy train or do jobs that robots could replace.
We must remember this is the Eric Holder DOJ, and the Black Panthers in Philly. The laws are only for the law abiding, “us.”
hey, at least you admit that you're in favor of government theft and redistribution of that private property to people who didn't earn it.
FREE STUFF FOR EVERYONE!!!!
Any police officer who refuses to cross a picket line to do their job should be fired.
Where does Andy Stern live?
All I'm hearing from that cop is "Blah, Blah, Blah …. We don't want to do our jobs. Blah, Blah, Blah …. We are scared to get involved because SEIU might be mean to us."
All I can say is that anyone, I don't care if they are a SEIU thug or a police officer, shows up with a mob on my property and threatens my family, risks being FOUND there dead shortly thereafter. Cause of death: lead poisoning.
As long as our republic is maintained,……..does a \”downside\” matter,….????
p.s.- If you want to redistribute my wealth, COME AND GET IT, TOUGH GUY.
Thats very true. As stated on here before, most if not all unions are outdated, unproductive, and how costly they are. They have no meaningful reason to stay around except as a big waste of our money as they reap all the benifits.
It really is time for them all to go, and have their former members get actual productive jobs in the private sector. Then have the union bosses and such put in jail for life.
Last known address- 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20500 You can't miss it… large house painted white with a small garden.
<sarc>
They have the right to associate with each other. But we have the right to NOT recognize their association.
It will never happen, but we need a Federal "right to work" law that makes it illegal to have "closed" union shops anywhere. This would make union membership non compulsory. Of course the democrats will have nothing to do with that…
Yes, intent should be important. But reality in 2010 must be taken into account. It's not a contradiction. A return to first principles is a change from status quo, and a change I would like to see happen. "Realistically" means taking the status quo (or, things as they exist today) and acknowledging that in America, May 2010, it won't happen. At least not yet.
What I want to happen, and what is currently possible in our legal-political-social framework can be distinctly different, without contradiction. I want to see public unions abolished. I don't see how, with an army of lawyers at their disposal, it will realistically happen, considering how hard it was to defund ACORN, and the wrangling that their lawsuits engaged in.
We agree on principle, differ in outlook/implementation.
Best investment you can make right now isn't gold, it's lead. Become proficient with a pistol, a shotgun, and a rifle, and have all three on hand with adequate ammunition. Teach your children how to shoot.
As this incident proves, when the government and it's designated stormtroopers decide that you are "the enemy" it isn't going to protect you from itself.
Maybe Alinsky read Main Kampf. Sure sounds like it…
I'll ask again: how is the SEIU home visit any different to a KKK home visit of the 50s? You sound intelligent, surely you can answer that.
Under Obama we are fast becoming a lawless country instead of a country of laws (to paraphrase Charles K). SEIU is Obama's storm troopers. We have this disgusting incident, we have Mr. Gadney who was assaulted by SEIU thugs and they have yet to be convicted of assault. At the time of the election, Black Panthers intimidated voters going to the polls and the Obama Justice Department has ignored that. Be prepared in November for SEIU thugs (apparently with police protection) to be at the polls to intimidate anyone from going in who appears to them not to be a loyal obomacrat. Zig Heil!
So in other words, union/community organizers will do anything to get their way regaurdless to how its done.
You guys are really the lowest form of human life. Just taking anything you guys wish at the cost of others without a thought of nothing but yourselves. Maybe, we should redistribute the unions wealth, since it is what you support. See how much you like it then when you loose alot and the other people still taking more and more away.
Parasite!
oh don't expect this Marxist Progressive to address the point about intimidating a CHILD, causing him to lock and barricade himself in the bathroom.
COWARDS
Losing our republic? I would say that's about as "downside" as you can get
The leftwing cops should have been hanged with the SEIU mobsters. Ironically it's these same type of ghetto union mobsters that kill cops.
No Sir. The most important thing, not just to the US of A but the world, is maintaining this country as the brightest beacon of light this world has ever known. Freedom is our most precious asset and the only way that we survive on this planet. The tragedy of an individual being falsely injured, therefore, must be dealt with on an individual basis, I suppose. Tough question in a free society.
LOL,
Nice idea! The Sprinklers!
But I assume the Union Goons would have gotten mad and rampaged…
I sure don't like the idea of eventually having to defend against cops and troopies but…
