by Mike FlynnYesterday came the news that ACORN was ‘dissolving’ its national structure, allowing many of its local chapters to go ‘independent’. ACORN’s destruction of its brand had threatened the existence of every ACORN office in the country. Shedding the ACORN brand will give them a chance restart the flow of public money and leftist donors.
Make no mistake, however, that while their names may change, the personnel groomed by ACORN and the tactics they employ will remain the same. To paraphrase a famous verse, “A Rose by any other name…has just as many thorns.”
Below is an invite to New York ACORN’s first ‘re-branding shindig.’ This Thursday, long-time political allies of ACORN and its Working Families Party will host a high-dollar fundraiser for “New York Communities for Change,” the presumptive heir to ACORN NY.
I wonder what would happen if a bunch of liberty and freedom loving activists showed up on this?
I bet it would be interesting. Definitely, keep me posted.

I was thinking more on their re-nameing Acorn ( as to the laundering ), I doubt they returned any funds they had received from Acorn or collected as Acorn, so using that as the " Start-up" money would be laundering.. Now whether a judge would agree is a differant story…
Can we recommend names to them?
I suggest Community Organizers, Race Relations Uplifters, and People's Teammakers. I think that covers everything, and CORRUPT is nothing if not a blanket organization.

I have a job. I have a mortgage that I faithfully pay one time every month. Because of those responsibilities, I can't fly out there to protest this. My dilemma is shared by millions of patriots. How do we get around this? I wish a protest by proxy service existed. Nothing leaves an impression like having someone IN YOUR FACE letting them know they can't hide anymore. We need to get in some faces!

Interesting thought BB, as you know ACORN is a chapter 301c non-profit "charitable corporation" but it has "entities" that exist as 527 political fund raising … In theory those could be "bankrupted" or "dissolved as corporations" and so long as the "board(s) of directors" are "reorganized" they could just sprout a new head as it were…

Their bookkeeping is so bad they have 'lost' millions and nothing has happened. No one has even been prosicuted.

Having been involved in a business with my father for 15 years and then running my own as well you learn a "tiny" amount of corporate law along the way…
Having "dissolved" two corporations myself I can tell you for a fact that unless there is a VERY serious crime involved the likelihood of prosecution would be very low.
In this case they could change "heads" and "separate themselves" from the former "heads" and then provide evidence against them in a federal court with full immunity.
That would be Andy Stern, Wade Rathke and Dale Rathke's most likely avenue to avoid prosecution and unfortunately this White House would likely grant it…
After we crash this fundraiser, let's crash a Red Cross fundraiser too.

I linked the map above that Mike posted in his thread. The little arrow clearly shows it is smack in Manhattan Island. If you're native, I sure won't argue with you. I know the financial district, Harry's down at Hanover Square, and the Carlisle Hotel on 76th and Madison.

I'm no lawyer so I wonder…if acorn dis bans and reforms under a new name do they get out of any wrong they did to the tax payers of this country?
