The Complete ACORN Whitewash Report: Nothing to See Here Folks, Move Along…We Have to Pass ObamaCare
by Mike FlynnWell, ACORN retained a law firm to investigate its operations and, surprise, the law firm found that ACORN hadn’t done anything wrong in the undercover videos filmed by James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles. The review, overseen by former Massachusetts Attorney General Scott Harschbarger, a long-time ally of ACORN, found that any problems within ACORN are, gosh darn it, simply because ACORN was too successful, i.e. grew too big and too fast. The problems are also mostly, conveniently, the result of people who are no longer employed by ACORN, i.e. Wade Rathke.

The entire report can be summed up: Wade Rathke really made a mess of things. The current management, i.e. Bertha Lewis, has been trying to reform the organization and she is really, really committed to it now. ACORN has a “roadmap” for reform that, while it may take a while to implement, will really fix everything you thought was wrong with ACORN. Just trust them.
The overdue Whitewash Report comes at a critical time for ACORN and its big brother SEIU. ACORN and SEIU are the lead organizations behind Health Care for America Now (HCAN), which is the principle organization agitating for the passage of ObamaCare. In short, HCAN is ACORN. HCAN and SEIU are planning a big rally/blitz in support of ObamaCare this Thursday. ACORN’s ongoing scandals were a big obstacle on the left’s push to enact a sweeping government take-over of health care. As that battle reaches its climax, ACORN’s hired gun enters the scene to say, really, everything is just fine with ACORN.
As members of ACORN’s advisory committee, SEIU’s Andy Stern and Center for American Progress’ John Podesta, had a big role in selecting Harschbarger for the whitewash. Stern, the most frequent guest of the Obama White House, is a leading architect of the health care overhaul that will deliver him millions of more dues-paying members. Podesta is a long-time ACORN ally. The PR group he helped create, Media Matters, has devoted itself to running media interference for ACORN around the clock.
We’ll have a lot more to say about the report in the future. We’ll leave you with one point, however. Of the dozens of people Harschbarger said he interviewed as part of this “report”, not one was from outside the ACORN empire. No former workers nor ousted Board members. Not one person who isn’t currently affiliated with or paid by ACORN. As the saying goes, “Garbage in, garbage out.”

Harshbarger's conclusion was that no criminal activity resulted from the sting because they didn't really import 14 year old girls and Hannah didn't really prostitute herself. By the way, he made essentially that argument before he was even appointed as an analyst on Fox 25 Boston.
I'm sure his membership in Americans For Progress didn't affect his judgement.

Sanford, Sen. Kent Conrad, Rep. Maxine Waters, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, and Sen. Ensign. And hopefully Max Baucus is next.

Did anyone read the same 47 page document that I did, which called for huge changes, reform, new governance, training, reorganization, and refocus of this organization? How can Mr Flynn say this document claims "ACORN hadn’t done anything wrong in the undercover videos…" when its right there, starting on page 2, and continuing throughout? If I was in an organization and was handed this audit, I'd consider pretty damning.

That's what this year was like for ACORN — trying to help people keep their homes in the middle of the worst housing crisis in history. And you know something? We're still in the middle of that crisis and my work helping families save their homes is still the most important thing I'm doing.
Let's be honest for a second. When the pundits start doing their year-in-review shows, when they get to ACORN, you and I both know what they'll say. They will talk about scandal and accusation, and they'll rehash propaganda from right-wing con artists and politicians.
But I promise that they will leave something out. They'll leave out what we did to save Irene's home. They'll leave out the dedication of people like you who put themselves on the line for their neighbors.
And the most shameful thing they'll forget to mention is how many more families' homes we could have saved if we weren't constantly under attack.
So I want to take a moment to say "thank you". Thank you for helping ACORN members and staff save as many homes as we did. Thank you for making the time and taking the effort to fight for what is right for working families. Thank you for standing with us during one of our most challenging years ever.

Gee, I have to admit I'm not really up on my Haliburton and Blackwater propaganda. Probably because I don't read Huffington Post or Daily Kos. What I do know is that Haliburton was the sole source for rebuilding infrastructure both civilian and government in Iraq and Blackwater was hired for security. Both were uniquely qualified for their roles and both lost numerous civilian employees to terror in Iraq including the Blackwater guys that were murdered, burned and hung from a bridge in Fallujah.

The Feels Acres Day Care case prosecuted by Scott Harshbarger is considered one of the greatest miscarriages of justice in US history. It is outrageous that he is still allowed to practice law.

RightTurn trying to help poor minorities by pointing them towards "the light". Ever the social white knight that he is. Poor black folk have been loyal to Democrats for over 30 years. There's an obvious reason for it.
"white Knight" , careful now that's close to being racist. This isn't or shouldn't be about race at all. Personally, I don't care what color Obama is, I have just never agreed with his style of government or his proposed changes. Alot of people do and that's fine too. But, you have to admit that alot of the blacks (and whites) voted for Obama strictly because of race and had no clue where he stands on most of the issues. Unfortunately, we are all now seeing his "true" colors.

We knew his "true" colors right from the start. My 401K, IRA and pension is now back up to levels prior to George "Apocalypse" Bush levels, Unemployment numbers are creeping back down, we're finally dealing with 7 1/2 yeas of incompetence and "dithering" in Afghanistan while Iraq is winding down.
It's all looking up to me and so far, delivering on exactly what he campaigned on. So what if a handful of "Chicken Littles" see the sky falling. They caused it!
