Obama’s Shock Troops: SEIU and Political Intimidation in St. Louis

They provided strong testament to the union attack on Kenneth Gladney. But, his comments only dealt with the events of that day. Evidence is emerging that the events of that day went far beyond St. Louis and may have been part of a nationally orchestrated campaign to intimidate and silence dissent.
When Congress went into its summer recess at the end of July, an organic movement erupted to protest Congressional proposals to inject government deeper into our health care system. The ferocity of citizen’s reactions caught most congressmen off-guard. The citizen’s spontaneous protests against Congress dominated the news coverage. It was only a matter of time until the left struck back,.
On the morning of August 6th, Sam Stein reported at the Huffington Post that labor unions had released a comprehensive memo, detailing tactics to counter what were called “town hall protestors”. That same day, a White House official said to reporters, “If you get hit, we will punch back twice as hard.”
Those both happened the morning of the assault on Kenneth Gladney. Is it any surprise that on the specific day that Big Labor and the White House signaled a commitment to ‘punch back’ at the town hall protests, an innocent bystander, Kenneth Gladney, was brutally beaten?
Consider also that the individuals charged with the assault on Kenneth Gladney worked for SEIU. In the first six months of the Obama Administration, Andy Stern, head of SEIU visited the White House 22 times–more than any other private individual. The date stamps for his visits stop at the end of July, so we don’t fully know how much interaction he had with the White House during the ’summer of discontent.’ We do know that HHS Secretary Katherine Sibelius hosted a conference call with SEIU leadership the day after the Gladney beating.
SEIU attended the August 6th event in force. There are indications the union bused in members from Chicago and St. Louis. But, their presence wasn’t felt solely through their rank-and-file members. The day before the event, Rep. Russ Carnahan hired a new communications director, Sara Howard. Previously, Ms. Howard was a senior official with SEIU.
The Gladney beating happened. As Pastor Himes wrote, it was a vicious attack on a defenseless man. We also know that the police filed charges against the SEIU thugs who perpetrated the attack. The story of how those charges have been covered up for political ends will be told soon. It is a story that reaches deep into St. Louis politics and, ultimately, the Obama administration.
Big Media and partisan hacks like Media Matters have tried to obscure the facts. They have used classic confusion and misdirection to turn the incident into a “he said, SEIU said” dust-up. But, they have relied more on spin than facts. You will soon see the full facts of the incident. You will wonder why the charges have been covered up. SEIU is picking up the legal bills of their members charged with assault. It has even arranged for high-powered, politically connected legal counsel. Yet, the union has denied its members’ workman’s comp claims for injuries they sustained in beating Kenneth Gladney. That’s more than a bit weird. Like they were kind of working for the union when they delivered the beating.
Make no mistake, Gladney was brutally beaten. And, he was beaten in a calculated attempt to intimidate the town hall protesters. Through political connections, the crime has been covered up. But, the truth will out. And, the truth will out here. Stay tuned…

Thank you for this story – we have been so frustrated at the lack of coverage of this story. The truth needs to be revealed – and the perpetrators of this kind of intimidation must face justice! This is America for crying out loud – what is happening to us??

I’ve been wondering what happened to Mr. Gladney. Thank you for bringing the truth to light. I was at the Congressional House Call in DC yesterday. The arrogance in Washington has to be experienced first hand to truly appreciate it. My senators and reps in PA are full-steam-ahead voting for this abomination. A bunch of snotty 20-somethings are running our government.

This story, the story of the man who got his finger bitten off by the SEIU thug, and numerous other story's abound. At some point in time the rank and file of these unions will come to understand that their leadership is only interested in themselves and obtaining power. It is interesting to follow the psychology of the "Tea Party" movement and the reaction of ACORN, SEIU and Obama. This is the first time in recent history that I recall the conservative people of America protesting to such a great extent and doing a damn good job of it in a peaceful way. Union thugs, ACORN idiots and Obama's corrupt followers have been in many protests over the years. Now they find themselves in a defensive position and they don't know how to deal with it…other than in violence. I am so proud to be a 'tea bagger" and putting the thugs on the run!!!

What I really want is for some of the SEIU members to come around one of our town hall meetings. They think they can beat & push around a 130lb man. I am 6'4" 250lbs & I will take on anyone they got in their ranks. If they can punch back then I'll go one step farther & set them up for long stays @ the hospital & some visits into the Dental chair. They don't have the intestinal fortitude to come down into Texas & try to intimidate us. Come on down & visit SEIU & we'll have a real Texas dust up. Being a former SEIU member in disgust, this union does NOT really care about it's members. They are being used as a means to an end. Much like the public school children being indoctrinated. Once SEIU gains access to a facility they are hard on the employer at first, but eventually start working with the employer against the members. When I say that it is mostly regarding absentism issues, vacation, sick leave etc. All the while, they take their share of UNION dues. The employee really doesn't see a wage increase, because it's taken in the form of dues. Even if they choose NOT to be a member-they pay the same amount(called association fees). I was at my BANK, the other day. I mentioned this website to one of the managers. As, one of their employees is on the Board of the facility I used to work. I am hoping, they (former employer) start pushing for a union re-vote. Last contract only 35 members voted out of over a 100 plus. Not a very strong union, I must say.

The very first comment to this story came from an SEIU operative, claiming that the assailant in this case was "legally blind". That tells me that SEIU has people monitoring this website.
I knew a guy in college who got all his books on tape, at a tremendous cost to the university and taxpayers. To qualify, he got himself declared legally blind because he claimed to have severe dyslexia. All the rest of us knew was that he had no problem seeing, he read the newspaper, drove, etc. SEIU may be trying to spin a fairy tale about the SEIU thug being unable to carry out that assault. But it is totally meaningless since he did, in fact, assault Kenneth Gladney. Only a lawyer would be bold enough to dispute whether he COULD have done it, when it is undeniable that he DID do it. It's a distraction, nothing more.
No one believes that SEIU is somehow the victim here. Nobody. Not even SEIU members believe it. They were sent there for the express purpose of intimidation – a time-honored union tactic. Normally they are trying to intimidate a relatively small group of people at an individual company, whom they outnumber. I'm a former Union member who was promoted to management, a fact that really made the Union mad. I know exactly how the Union works and it's amazing that so many people still don't get it. The IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) Local #1 in St. Louis has handed to it's members at the last union meeting a letter addressed to Claire McCaskill urging her to vote against Obamacare. The template letter said that "we do not want to lose the health care that we currently enjoy".
This doesn't make any sense because this same union hall in St. Louis hosted the Obamacare bus back in August.

Does anyone wonder why the unions support this administration and the health care plan? The unions have billions of dollars to pay for health care for current and retired members. What happens to all that money if the government starts providing health care and the unions choose to discontinue coverage. The employers have to pay the extra fines/taxes for the government provided coverage and the unions get to keep the billions.

Well, yes, but… The main surprise, to me, of last Tuesday's election was the absence of these thugs. I fully expected thousands of Black Panthers armed with axe handles with most of them wearing the classic Che shirt or the classic Holder shirt, imported from Philadelphia to persuade Jersey voters. There didn't seem to be any widespread use of union thugs or ACORN crooks, although, had there been, the msm would not have been allowed to mention it. Corzine gave up early.
Now, maybe, they felt that Jersey on top of St. Louis would prove a conspiracy. Maybe, they are just saving up national thugery for next year, but I was surprised that Jersey went so smoothly.

That Act allows for severe financial penalties when civil suit is undertaken and proved.
