Jews arrived in the US with nothing and went from rags to riches. You have to be strong and just walk away. As the saying goes, 'Another bus will be by in 15 minutes'. That's what I did when working as an insurance biller for a Dentist. Several months into my job I was told that a friend was coming in and I needed to set up an 'Account'. He wanted me to take other people's x-rays and submit them as this patient's, falsify work done, get paid and he would split the money with the patient so she could pay for the cosmetic work that her insurance woud not cover. I DID NOT GIVE NOTICE....I PICKED UP MY BELONGINGS AND NEVER LOOKED BACK (of course I couldn't use them on my resume, but I could live with myself). It's tough not to just look the other way but after years of 'giving in' and having these haunting thoughts return when least expected I realized that peace of mind is best.
