Sabbath: Vote On Abortion
by Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN)This is it. It seems that Speaker Nancy Pelosi is almost done twisting arms and leadership has just announced a vote in as little as 72 hours. That would make the final vote this Sunday.
I am abhorred that Pro-life democrats are asked to vote on a pro-abortion mandate this Sunday, the Sabbath. This is the Easter season for Christians, a period of time called lent. Speaker Pelosi is demanding pro-life Democrats profane the Sabbath with a vote that will force all Americans to pay for other people’s abortions. This is a first in American history and a new low for Speaker Pelosi and President Obama.

Agreed, Rep. Bachmann. But you missed the final point. The "new low" or "BOTTOM" has yet to be realized with the audacity of this woman and the whole administration. They can sink to new lows that defy most peoples understandings of the level of corruption that is currently unleashed in Washington.
It's interesting that those opposed to abortion (conservatives) are more concerned that liberals live (because who has abortions?) than liberals are. Think about the political makeup of this country had all those little liberal fetuses been allowed to reach adulthood.
I am appalled at these people. They have no sense of shame at their inhumanity.
I've had times in my life where guilt and burdens were crushing. At this point, I feel like G-d has lifted those burdens so that I might have the ability to say something about the current situation.
Perhaps, Representative Michele Bachmann, I can respectfully suggest a strategy:
Call for a vote today to adjourn for the weekend in respect for G-d and representative Stupak. If democrats vote against it, they will look terrible for explicitely putting him in the awkward position he is in. It may win some hearts and minds if you put your real compassion to a vote on the floor. After all, compassion is more powerful than a million Federal governments.
I noticed that when Nancy makes an 'entrance' no one is closer than 4 or 5 feet of her. Does she really stink that bad?
Michele, I personally applaud your efforts and you have shown yourself to be exactly the kind of representative we need in our Congress. Good luck tomorrow, a lot of people who frequent this site are coming to join you and give you support.

The issue for most is not abortion rather being forced to pay for others lifestyle CHOICE. I did not ask liberals or anyone else to pay for my choices or my children.

I try to tell as many women as I can that choosing to end a life isn't an indication of her rights — it's actually an indication of the failures of women's rights. A woman should never be put in that situation.

A vote to make abortion the law of the land is an abomination on any day of the week, but I feel the need to point out that the Sabbath is not Sunday. It's Saturday, the seventh day of the week.
Two other issues that have equally great consequence are the sinister plans to control your 401's and the plans by the Federal Reserve to exclude their behavior from disclosure.
The Second Circuit has revealed that they are powerless to stop Americans from discovery under FOIA. And that if the Federal Reserve so wishes to remain behind the iron wall they must seek it from Congress.
"If the Board believes such an exemption would better serve the national interest, it should ask Congress to amend the statute."
Abortion is a huge issue. If we have no nation left then what does it matter. Congress is trying to steal your children's future (via 401's) and the Federal Reserve is going to make them pay for it too (debt).

Furthermore, the initial reconciliation bill does impose limits it but not s much as several democratic members would like hence the consideration of a "side-car" bill.

What I don't understand is this. If you are against abortion then you are against being forced to pay for people to have them. And you have every right not to be forced to pay. But then if you are for abortion you are against the government telling you what to do with your body. Because most Christians no longer regard Sunday as "The Sabbath." The almost universal weekly religious experience for Christians in the U.S.has been reduced to the "Hour of Worship" – not the "Day of Worship." Besides that, the theology of most evangelicals regarding weekly worship is that "Any day will do" and "We worship God everyday." The fact of the matter is that rarely if ever do Christians in the U.S. ever refer to Sunday as the Sabbath. Another reason why? Anyone who has ever read the ten commandments, or looked at a calendar knows that "The Seventh-day (Saturday) is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God." No specific Biblical alteration or revocation of this God ordained day written in stone has ever been clearly expressed by Sunday Christians.
