Pigford Blues: The Curious Case of Dr. John Boyd

But this glimpse does answer some questions about Dr. John Boyd.

Less than two years ago, I attended meetings by John Boyd where he and his attorneys were soliciting contracts from hundreds of eligible and ineligible claimants before the Pigford II legislation was passed in Congress. These contracts obligated citizens to pay 1/3 of their recovery to John Boyd’s attorneys plus expenses. Expenses had to be paid even if the claimant was unsuccessful. I objected to these outrageous contracts. Boyd’s claim that his April 28th protest is inspired by his concern for Black Farmers must be questioned.
That’s a serious charge Ms. Sanders is making and shows a clear example of black people being taken advantage of by Boyd and the lawyers he was working with.
I spoke to Ms. Sanders last week to see if she still stood by this and she said of Boyd and the lawyers, “Well, it’s not illegal.”
Why was Ms. Sanders so clear about Boyd’s wrongdoing two years ago yet she makes excuses for him today? I think the answer is really tragic – she’s part of a move to circle the wagons now that people like Andrew Breitbart and I are looking into Pigford. This suspicion does nothing to help the real farmers and does everything to help protect men like John Boyd.

Saw Stossel's Fox News show about freeloaders. The "lawyer" handling a lot of the Pigford garbage should be prosecuted, right along with everyone involved.

John Boyd, Jason Blair, FAKE! I wonder if the word PERJURY before congress means anything to anyone. Given the fraud in the Dingy-House and testimony of the Congressional Black Caucus, there is evidently a separate standard for truth depending on race, faith, religion or exigency.
So Rep King has moved on to another headline grabbing week, and of course nothing happened to Boyd, nothing happened about any Islamic recruiting.
So what about all the hype around Issa? Just a bunch of hacks trying to con us conservatives that they are on our side.

Lawyers who take 1/3 off the top, first, victimize the victims all over again. There is a cartel of lawyers called the bar just like there is a cartel of oil producers called OPEC. The Constitution, the Supreme Law of the Land, was written for the common man so that all could understand it. After all, how can anyone realistically be expected to comply with law they cannot understand or must go to school for 20 years to understand (and even then remain "debatable") and how can it possible be upheld, while justice for all be present, if it is not straightforward enough to even understand?
The "legal system" has supplanted the lawful system.
Lawyers so often fill elected positions, most especially legislative ones. Do we honestly expect they will bite the hand that fed them and their peers? What was that our founders and original framers had to say about Titles of Nobility again?

He makes Jackson and Sharpton look like small time operators. It has been too easy for him, he's made some stupid mistakes and you are finding them. Probably because you are the only one looking and you're not ignoring the truth……….you racist! ; )

Dr. John Boyd who is married, is on an India dating/sex site, trolling for God knows what, and lists himself as single. So, he is not only unfaithful, but he is a documented liar.

In America we call it a justice system. But in practice it's conflict resolution. The state determines what is and what is not justice.
Lee, presuming that Country John's credentials are not quite as replete as, say, Ward Churchill's honorary doctorate, you might start with the lowest common denominator like his DD214 which might give some hint as to his education prior to military service. Subsequently, perhaps he obtained some VA funds for training? He alleges to have attended a community college some 550 miles south of his home in South Carolina. Perhaps the registrar can advise as to how many times official transcripts have been requested from other accreditied institutions, dates and perhaps who the requestor or recipient of the transcripts were. If it turns out that there have been NO official transcripts requested or issued then you may confidently presume that there was not any likely education beyond that institution.
follow on:Country John is, by his own representations, a wealthy, prosperous and prominent man with addresses in Washington, D.C. and family homestead in the Va Highlands. Odds are that there are likely some loans or records of loans recorded for both real property and UCC recording as well as consumer items like autos, credit cards, etc. You need a credit report or collateral documents that Country John used to induce lenders to lend.
Any prominent and noteworthy advocate as Country John will surely be a beneficiary of all sorts of left handed government grants, a member of boards of trustees and directors and such. It may be propitious to review various grant proposals, recommendations and awards that the questionable scholar has been associated.
The road sign to the mysteriously shrouded John Boyd Institute had to be approved and authorized by someone, check with VDOT, the local congress reps and municipal officials to see who manifested the erection of state highway sign that is both false and intentionally misleading.
follow on: Previously, when you first broke this story, I recommended that you do a search of records with the County Clerk where Country John is supposedly domiciled as well as the Secretary of State for Virginia to document the various organizational structures Boyd and associates created. Last one, for now, you may lawfully request an opportunity to examine the books of account and financial records of Country John's non profit organizations. Thanks for staying on the case, you may save America from what is quite likely a RICO violation and illegal distribution of funds devised under fraudulent pretenses.
I am betting that Boyd has a list as long as John Belushi in The Blue's Brothers. Specifically the scene in the sewer when he runs into Carrie Fisher. He'll start with –"That's not me" and somewhere he'll slide in that he is so sorry and that was not his real self doing it.
