‘You’ve Been Gored’: The Climate Change Fraud

The environment has become the hottest political issue of our time. And when anything is politicized, falsehood flourishes. The volume of lies, disinformation, propaganda, hypocrisy and exaggeration far exceeds the quantity of material pollutants – and is more hazardous.
Green has become the convenient, safe, lucrative cause for politicians, corporate weasels, celebrity eco-frauds, power-hungry government agencies and fast-buck swindlers hustling everything from gas-to-water engine conversion plans to carbon offset credits.
There’s a combination gold-rush/Armageddon’s a-comin’ zeitgeist that’s very troubling. It’s like watching the panicked crowd flee from Godzilla. Their mindless fear is more dangerous than the monster.
Statistics of doom are conjured and accepted without vetting. Idiotic “solutions” are clutched in desperation. Most terrifying of all, leaders are anointed and followed — without scrutiny.
There’s more mass hysteria in the air than particulate matter. And that hysteria is stoked by people with ulterior motives – money and power.
Green rhetoric has morphed into dogma. Totalitarian semantics force an agenda on those less educated or wary. One who disagrees is labeled a denier – a pejorative term that invalidates an opinion since only “truth” can be denied.
With Bolshevik fervor they scream for the heads of non-believers. Jobs are lost, professional credentials are revoked, jail time will be served. Non-compliance is not tolerated. Mere tolerance is not tolerated. One must embrace the new creed.
It’s time to step back, set up the bullshit filter (make sure it’s on full screen), and carefully evaluate the message. And even more carefully, examine the messengers.

In the 1960's it was global cooling and the second coming of another ice age. What ever happened to the hole in ozone that was going to lead to our end in the 1980's? In the 1990's it was global warming, before it became climate change. I'm starting to see a pattern here, and it is not about science. It is about Tyranny of a select few who want to rule over US!

Is the climate changing? Yep. Has been for eons, long before humanity, industrialization and SUVs. Is humanity THE cause, no by a long shot. Should we take care not to foul this beautiful blue nest God bequeathed us? Most definately.
I'm a Conservationist. I believe we can improve the lot of humanity in general while protecting the environment and the birds and beasts over which God gave us dominion. In fact, not caring for them is disobedience to the Creator.

I have said forever, "follow the money." The liberal "game" is (not just with global warming–or is it global cooling now?, but with all issues where they seek massive transfers of money (see, e.g., Pigford Settlements)) to first demonize the other side of the issue; then claim "consensus"; then comes the money transfer. This was never anything more than a HUGE transfer of wealth from "rich" countries (like the U.S.–ignore the $15 trillion debt), to developing countries, with China telling them to "bug off". Watch this same scenario play out with the next liberal agenda item that needs a government remedy.
The good news it most folks are on to this snake oil sale. The prog's and one worlders have destroyed environmentalism and turned it to their global Gov vehicle. They will cast off this shell and seek another as Al Gore and his ilk are discredited.
if there is anyone at all in the green environmnetal movement who is sincere, then it is time they challlenge people like Al Gore and Micheal Moore and other Hollywood liberals to not just talk the talk but walk the walk.

Last time I read about the ozone hole, I learned that scientists think of it now as a natural phenomenon, with somewhat predictable size changes during the year.

Just once, I want to hear the "experts" compare conditions of today to the 1960's. The U.S. has made enormous strides toward a cleaner earth! The results are right in front of us:
-Foul and polluted air has become fresh and clean.
-Pollutant-ravaged streams and rivers are now sparkling and safe for drinking and recreation, even in our largest cities.
-The once contaminated soil is being cleaned and is carefully cared for by farmers and agriculturists.
We have done wonderful things to become good stewards of our God-given natural resources. But, you never hear one word about how good we have done. No, it is always the wailing and gnashing of teeth. We are always the bad guy.
Of course, they wouldn't make millions and billions of dollars by praising our efforts!

A couple of non-scientific things about climate change I like to mention to my liberal friends. First, "follow the money" which they do for every political thing but this one. Second, what is the ideal earth's temperature, and who is to say what that is? Under current conditions making our atmosphere warmer would increase arable land. And third, nations with strong economies are the cleanest. Destroying our economy, which all climate change plans will, will not make the environment better.

Oklahoma has experienced a series of small earthquakes in the last month or so–all of which are centered around one fault line which is located about 45 miles east of Oklahoma City. Why do the news outlets never report the obvious fact that Al Gore and his compatriots stand to make billions through their efforts. You know, just a little side bet!!!!
To deny that humans as a species do not negatively affect the earth is as arrogant as denying that life, intelligent or not, does not exist elsewhere in this vast universe. The challenge is being able to teach our children how to be good stewards of this planet without getting seduced by the cacaphonous fervor supposed 'leaders' of environmental movements bloviate. I try to teach my children littering is bad because its ugly to look at and someone else will most likely be cleaning it up, throwing plastics in a fire is unhealthy (because they're standing over it, not because it will damage the quality of my neighbor's air), leaving on lights/electricity is costly (to our finances moreso than the globe), etc, etc. Unfortunately for us, due to the polarization of views, we are depicted as earth haters simply because we don't blindly embrace the rhetoric, as the author put it..Those semantics are lost to young children.
There are innumerable fault lines throughout the Mississippi region. And those lines may be the result of the lifting action as the two sections of American were pushed together millions of years ago.
My greatest fear is what the massive eruption of Yellowstone will do to the entire country and maybe the world when it eventually erupts.
Acid rain? Isn't happening. The "acid" found in lakes and streams is all TANNIC acid, caused by runoff through leaves and pine needles rotting on forest floors and NOT neutralized by further runoff through ash because we don't allow burning of those forests any longer.
Ozone hole? A perfectly natural phenomenon, completely unrelated to CFCs in the atmosphere and caused by the axial tilt of the planet limiting direct sunlight in the upper atmosphere during winter.
Global warming? Again, completely natural and caused by SOLAR activity over which we have ZERO control. Again, a GOOD thing because it lengthens growing time for our food.
"Too much" CO2 in the atmosphere? A GOOD thing because it provides more food for plant life–which in turn provides more food for ANIMAL life…like us, for example.
Not a single "catastrophe" touted by the envirogeeks is in any way, shape or form a "catastrophe."
It is indeed. In "fact", it's also concave, convex. round, straight, vertical, horizontal, sqare, and just about every other shape known to geometry.

I was thinking the same thing a couple of weeks ago when I was looking up, checking the condition of my roof ridge, and saw a bald eagle soaring right over – and I'm right in the center of the city.
When I was a kid in the '60s, there were fewer than 100 bald eagles in the entire country.

Actually less particulates in the air have resulted in some warming trends as they would normally reflect heat away from the earth. But they always leave that part out.
I've always wondered if those last two dinosaurs said this, "Mabel I told you not to use so much hairspray!" right before the bang. As a physics instructor in a healthcare program…I am always astonished at how easily uninformed intelligent students will blindly accept this "settled" science while we study the neuroplasticity of the human brain and make new discoveries every single day…that change completely what we knew only 10 years ago. How intelligent "thinking" brains have accepted that the climate changing is "new, human and settled" flies in the face of everything we as scientists know about adaptations at the particle, ion, atom, single cell and through the chain to organ, body, community and world. People…please…nothing is settled….ever!

Last January, I talked .. at one website … about "Snowmageddon", after a blizzard struck the Midwest. The oiginal post was meant in good fun.
Almost immediately, someone jumped in and said, "I will not talk to someone who does not know the difference betweeen climate and weather!"
I note, with some amusement, that the fellow went on at length, last summer, about the heat in the southwest being "proof" of global warming!

I am sad to tell you that most people I know are still deeply drinking the kool-aid. They become quite belligerent when their beliefs about AGW are questioned. Their minds are teflon to any of the facts about it.
Our oldest records attest to the fact that humanity has always feared large scale natural phenomena, and has always attributed them to mysterious causes that can not be controlled but which can be propitiated by acts of sacrifice.
The Aztecs used to sacrifice people by cutting their hearts out on an altar. They did it to keep the sun shining.
And there are plenty of examples from all over the world in every age.

One might be led to believe that our secularist "scientific" pretentions are a new element in the mix — but that is less than universal, and less important than you might think. There is also a strong, popular, direct adulation of "Mother Earth", "Gaia" and the notion that the planet itself is possessed of a sort of intelligence. Considering the fact that we all breathe an EPA-declared pollutant … CO2 … every time we exhale, I wouldn't be surprised to see the government impose a "carbon tax" on each and every one of us. Also, animals exhale CO2, so why not a carbon tax on each head of cattle, or every turkey or chicken, or the family dog or cat? Think of the possibilities for taxation inherent in this concept!
Of course, trees and other plants take in CO2 and expel oxygen, so why shouldn't landowners get a CO2 credit for each acre they own? Whoops! I forgot! The DEMs don't like land ownership, unless they own the land (and they would be exempt from the CO2 tax, anyway).

Genius, the IPCC had to adopt the position of "no change outside of natural variance for the next 30years" two weeks ago specifically because after trying to locate the "missing heat" for 6 years, they came up empty. Linear increases in CO2 without the same in temperature to such a degree that the models themselves are incapable of adding through smoothing has shut them down completely. Comprehend.

Sometimes I ask them how that works. That's when they give me an 'idea' of something. Then I explain that they cannot tell me how it works because it doesn't and show them why.
I am amazed at the time and things the teachers find to do instead of teaching. Next week is the PTA Christmas Shopping fundraiser. Yeah a whole week. Last week, a day for a Thanksgiving dinner. A book fair for a week. A day jumping rope for the heart fund. A day bring stuff in and giving it to vets. There was a fundraiser for the 4th grade band. Another selling discount books. Probably a couple I cannot remember. . Add a couple weeks doing pretests for state testing. Add to that the fact that they openly advertise about 10 considerations that will be made before holding a kid back when failing to make the grade. And, my pet peeve. 60% IS A PASSING GRADE. Not 70%. . Good old Tinton Falls, NJ.
