The Colorado Model & the Left’s Stratagem for Turning Red States to Blue
by LaborUnionReport“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.” Sun Tzu
Although it’s being deployed in several states like Florida, Georgia, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania and others, there are still many who have never heard of the Colorado Model. What’s worse, despite all the Left’s bemoaning of the “vast right wing conspiracy,” Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, or whatever enemy they can dream up, there is still nothing like the Colorado Model on the Right.

In sum, the Colorado Model is one of the Left’s most effective stratagems that was “built” to turn “red states” into “blue states” over a very short period of time (with the exception, perhaps, of the 2010 election cycle). When combined with the tactics of Saul Alinsky and his disciples, the Colorado Model is akin to a Soviet platoon armed with AK-47s mowing down a militia armed with slingshots.
According to a 2008 expose in the Weekly Standard, the Left, in 2004 and 2006 “routed Republicans, capturing the governorship, both houses of the state legislature, a U.S. Senate seat, and two U.S. House seats.”
Conceived by four rich liberals, the Colorado Model is a fairly simple strategy:
Eric O’Keefe, chairman of the conservative Sam Adams Alliance in Chicago, says there are seven “capacities” that are required to drive a successful political strategy and keep it on offense: [1] the capacity to generate intellectual ammunition, [2] to pursue investigations, [3] to mobilize for elections, [4] to fight media bias, [5] to pursue strategic litigation, [6] to train new leaders, and [7] to sustain a presence in the new media. Colorado liberals have now created institutions that possess all seven capacities. By working together, they generate political noise and attract press coverage. Explains Caldara, “Build an echo chamber and the media laps it up.”
Unfortunately, the Right still doesn’t seem to embrace or, more importantly, understand the Colorado Model. What’s worse, because the Colorado Model requires cooperation, it is unlikely the Right will ever be successful in creating a model similar to that which the Left is deploying across the country.
Unlike Barack Obama’s OFA, which coordinates with the institutional Left, the Moveon.orgs of the world, hundreds of 527s, think tanks, unions, and the like, the Right largely consists of groups who work disparately, in disagreement with, and, often, openly fighting with one another. On the Right, we have the Keystone Cops facing the Red Army on the Left.
As opposed to disarray on the Right, the Left is largely unified in their vision, their messaging, and their tactics. As such, the Colorado Model is a prime example of the Left putting their ideas into action and, in so doing, turning America from a country of individuals into a country of collectivists.
Again, from 2008:
The Democratic surge in Colorado reflects the national trend, but it involves a great deal more. There’s something unique going on in Colorado that, if copied in other states, has the potential to produce sweeping Democratic gains nationwide. That something is the “Colorado Model,” and it’s certain to be a major topic of discussion when Democrats convene in Denver in the last week of August for their national convention.
While the Colorado Model isn’t a secret, it hasn’t drawn much national attention either. Democrats, for now anyway, seem wary of touting it. One reason for their reticence is that it depends partly on wealthy liberals’ spending tons of money not only on “independent expenditures” to attack Republican office-seekers but also to create a vast infrastructure of liberal organizations that produces an anti-Republican, anti-conservative echo chamber in politics and the media.
Colorado is where this model is being tested and refined. And Republicans, even more than Democrats, say that it’s working impressively. (For Republicans, it offers an excuse for their tailspin.) Jon Caldara, president of the Independence Institute, a conservative think tank based in Denver, says Republicans around the country should be alarmed by the success of the Colorado Model. “Watch out,” he says, “it’s coming to a state near you.”
On the Right, after nearly three years of being engaged in the battle to save America from tax and spend collectivists, there is still a large knowledge vacuum in the nature of the battle, the groups and strategies involved, as well as the tactics used. America is nearing the end of a century-old ideological war waged by Marxists of varying degree—an ideological war that will determine the future of America. Until such time as the Right understands that fact and begins to work together, any “victories” at the ballot box will be fleeting and, in the long run, futile.

So, in the end…..after they have destroyed prosperity…..we will be a communal land.
Sharing a bunch of NOTHING.
What a vision these progressives have for America.
ABO2012.
I have said many times over the years, the statist is well organized and well funded – the conservative is not.
This is not to our discredit, we are busy with the tasks of producing and enjoying our liberty, the statist cares nothing about these things, only the consolidation of power.

Such revolutions happen not upon every little mismanagement in public affairs. Great mistakes in the ruling part. Many wrong and inconvenient laws and all the slips of human frailty will be borne by the people without mutiny or murmur, but if a long train of abuses, prevarications and artifices, all tending the same way, make the design visible to the people, and they cannot but feel what they lie under, and see whither they are going, it is not to be wondered at that they should then rouse themselves, and endeavor to put the rule into such hands which may secure to them the ends for which government was at first erected . . .

"On the Right, we have the Keystone Cops facing the Red Army on the Left."
Yep. So who wants to jump in and attack one of the GOP candidates? C'mon, it'll be "fun." Let's cannibalize the whole field. Later on we can sit around and complain for four years about obama's second term.
We're just that smart.
Liberals cooperate, conservatives compete. This is why the liberals are gaining such ground and the greatest evidence exists, right now, in the words and actions of the current list of Republican POTUS candidates.

And that's where the george soros' come in. The truth be known, there are MANY "soros'" out there trying to tear down the free world.

"The time is near at hand which must determine whether Americans are to be free men or slaves."
George Washington
we can survive a president like Obama…we cannot survive the people that elect him! This is were the problems is!!
You know, I don't blame the "current list of POTUS candidates" for "liberals gaining ground." I blame the armchair, quick-trigger "conservatives" for succumbing to negative campaign ads, rather than doing their own research.
Just consider how each of the many "conservative" candidates spent time at the top of the polls, only to come crashing down from their peaks. Did that happen because they were "conservative giants" one day, and then changed all their positions? Or did it happen because the media machine was turned against each of them when they became frontrunners?
The truth is, no matter how much we like to call the liberal left a bunch of lemmings, the people "on the right" aren't any better. The minute any opposition media is launched, all "conservative coalition" falls apart.
Welcome to America,
Land of the Sheeple.
How's that Model work out within the realm of the Second Amendment?
My guess is the Second Amendment beats the Colorado Model.
CA fleeing to neighborhood states like NV, NM and Texas. I tell you what, Liberal Idiology is not welcome in my state!
We have more than one problem, politically speaking.
First, there's the reluctance of our best people to run for office or serve in any public capacity.
Second, there's our defensiveness when attacked.
Third, there's the media, against which we have yet to learn to fight effectively.
Fourth, there's conservative donors' unwillingness to embrace the New Media properly.
Fifth, there's the go-along-to-get-along mindset of the Republican Party's power elite.
Sixth, there's our inability to adopt Leftist tactics on the grounds of their foulness.
We could overcome any one of the above. Perhaps any two. But all of them at once?
The United States of America needs a miracle.
Barack Obama 2012…
…Change You Can Step In.
Props to Neil Boortz…
Oh, I think the various Tea Parties throughout the country have the same vision, limited government, individual liberty, free markets, and fiscal responsibility, they just spend too much time arguing about how to get there. Our fundamental principles are enshrined in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States. Those principles are what we need to keep promoting.
The left gets a good deal of their funding from we the taxpayers. All their "non-profits" enjoy tax breaks and government grants only to use them to drive their agenda.
"My guess is the Second Amendment beats the Colorado Model."
If it comes right down to it, hand-to-hand combat will beat the "Colorado Model." But that's just my "hands" speaking.
Yeah, I grew up in a sort of "Commune". As soon as I turned old enough to leave, I was GONE!!! I turned 18 on a boat in Alaska. Had to lie to get the job and boy did I need to leave home… I cannot burn some of the images I saw out of my mind. Between eating the nasty food to the old hippies swimming sans swimwear, I'm warped…LOL
OK, this strikes me as a bit silly. The Colorado Model is dangerous because it is used to create an echo chamber in the media in support of leftist politics? Am I the only one who thinks the national and local media have all been one big progressive echo chamber for decades?
This is inside baseball with delusions of grandeur. The progressives control the schools and the mainstream media outlets. That's where the echo chamber was formed. I don't care how many of them email each other back and forth, or meet in secret to plan the revolution. Conservatives need to just state their case, clearly and often.
No amount of media coordination will convince a man who has been unemployed for two years that the economy is booming. Stop whining about progressive tactics and start writing more about progressive policy failures.
In 2008 Obama received 47 percent of his campaign donations from people contributing $200 or less. McCain received 26 percents of his donations from these small contributors.
OMG! Say it isn't so…
If by "we" you mean the teaparty then you are probably right. Groups founded on a lie are unsustainable.
Aren't you the clever little bagger with your cowardly veiled threats of violence.
We have prisons for traitors.
Texas has more liberals than most states have people. I estimate there are about 6 million of us. And we're not going anywhere.
I don't know about that. Newt is pretty foul, which is why he could never win a general election.
You should follow the money. You will find Republican corporate donations far outpace anything that unions do for Democrats.
He will have enough time after receiving our boot!
The Colorado Model–"A federal judge declined to force the secretary of state to reactivate approximately 6,000 new voters whose registrations were canceled under Colorado’s 20-day rule.
Seems like some of these so called voters (Are you a voter if you can't follow voting rules?) don't follow the rules.
IMO, the Democrat model is voter fraud, anywhere, all the time.
http://michellemalkin.com/2010/10/25/voter-fraud-...
ooooooooh. Are you freaking kidding me? Are you THAT stupid? Because "campaign donations" can be made through unaccountable "gift cards," you don't know that obama's "low donation" donations were highly weighted with foreign money from unaccountable donators? How can you be that stupid?
Oh, never mind. You're obviously just another RACIST that supports the lies of the "black man," just because he's "black."
You know? Frick you. You don't deserve the time of day from me.
Don't be so quick to run around hollering "the sky is falling!" just yet, folks. I live in the Centennial State and, yes, the 2004 through 2008 cycles were favorable for the Socialist Party, but once you see the 2010 results hereabouts, you will come to understand that the so-called "Colorado Model" narrative is every bit as hollow as Ruy Texeira's endless proclamations that demography is destiny. It's all socialist nonsense. Once again, they're doing what they do best: Lying to you, or lying to themselves.
Yes, the Socialist Party got its successor candidate for governor elected in John Hickenlooper, and they got Uuuhhhhbama crony Michael Bennet elected to the Senate in his own right. This was largely due to the disastrously flawed candidates the
GOPParty of Stupid nominated, not any Vast Left Wing Conspiracy. But that was pretty much it. Down ticket last November, Republicans:• Soundly defeated two Socialist Members of Congress, John Salazar – yep, he's the Interior Secretary's brother – and Betsy "Uuuuhhhhbama 'care' Patsy" Markey, converting the House delegation from 5-2 Socialist to 4-3 Patriot;
• Swept out every Socialist candidate for statewide office – Treasurer, Secretary of State and Attorney General;
• Re-captured the state House of Representatives for the first time in six years, albeit by one vote; and
• Reduced the Socialist majority in the state Senate to one seat.
I seriously doubt we'll hear any more socialist nonsense about the Colorado Model once The One and Only Miserable Failure gets humiliated out of office both here and nationally next November.
I think for the most part conservatives are too busy working, making a living, taking care of themselves and their families to really get involved. Once things get so bad that the statists/socialists agenda really impinges on the conservatives ability to compete/survive, it will be way beyond politics to correct. It will resemble 1775, or 1860, and be just as bad.
The sleeping giant stirred itself in 2010. Can we bring it to full wakefulness before next November? I surely hope so. It's better for us to wake it than for the statists to do it. Think rampaging bear awakened during hibernation.
Gary, your right on it.
The GOP is like the old German Army: frozen in an outdated doctrine they dare not break: "At 10 Oclock, ze guns vill komme up, und ze vill fire eine, dzwei, drei, feir, und ze vill komme down".
The TEA Party is our only hope, and its time the GOP either (you know what ) or gets off the pot! .
Dammit to hell, we will not, I repeat, not, relive 2008, and survive as a democracy. Its time we all got off our butts and quite clucking around here, lime bunch of old biddies at a sewing circle.
WE are the miracle. We are the ones they expect to roll over and die with a whimper.
That we do, it all depends on which side ends up owning the prisons.
All nice and legal. I'm duly sworn to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign, as well as domestic enemies.
Liberals always seem to forget that last part… the domestic enemies part.
Bear Hands connected to Bear Arms.
The Liberals will have a field way with that one… state that the Second Amendment means not to hold anything at all in ones hands.
"We have prisons for traitors. "
Holder and friends will feel right at home in them.
I've been in the state of Colorado for the last 33 years and have watched the transformation from red to purple to blue. I really don't think it is as complicated as the "Colorado Model" believers do.It's been a slow immigration of Californians that bring their progressive minds and votes here, most not realizing that they are voting for the same type candidates that drove them out of California in the first place.
Our politics cannot, I think, be more ironic than in comparing the Tea Party and OWS. Both made up of predominately white people, with two polar opposite list of demands and methods and tactics as to how to go about airing those demands.
How the media portrays the two is shocking at best and criminal at worst. There needs no other indictment of the media their blatant bias, manipulation and fraud that is perpetuated on the American people.
One only has to look at the funeral of Kim Jong Il to see where American media is headed.
Colorado became blue for two reasons. Ilegal aliens and California refugees. Actually, the California refugees are also a result of illegal immigration – poverty, crime, and broken social services.
The Dems have been waging a demographic war – and each year and hundreds of thousands more "migrants" gives the leftwing more votes.
You mean collectivists organize better than individualists? What a newsflash!
There really is no solution to this problem. In order to become as organized as the Left we would have to become collectivists like the Left. Notice many of the comments in this very article are advocating collectivism for the sake of victory over the left. Do you know where that kind of thinking leads? To being a RINO, that's where, a "Democrat Lite" RINO.
So what's the solution? I don't know. The average citizen is too addicted to entitlements to vote for reform, and frankly, I think we're screwed and there's little we can do other than to prepare and hope Jesus comes back.
Also from the Centennial State.
Part of the reason that the "Colorado Model" worked is that 4 very rich liberals were able to use their pooled money to make sure that all of the organizations that they supported worked together. Once Jared Polis became a representative the Monolithic Cabal started to Crack.
Granted rich liberals are more likely to be more politically active than rich conservatives. I simply don't believe that even on the left the various interests can stay aligned for the long haul
I don't think we will be complaining….we will be watching every word we say…due to the statists rule and total destruction of the Constitution.
I'm guessing so many commune dwellers seeing nanny pelosi nekid probably explains why the gay explosion started there.
Completely agree. The MSM is the biggest threat to our freedom and they are oblivious to the fact that they are the ones who will be most impacted if the Marxists take over.
If only the big networks were as fair and balanced as studies have shown Fox News to be; this would be a far better place.
John between you and myself and our refusal to ignore reality I wish I could use up my drug years but I wasted those being a little too liberal and now reality is here with no escape mechanism. It's hell when you wake up to the facts. God I see no escape from the misery that's ahead. Happy New Year too all.
Who would have thought "Warren Buffett" would have went to the dark side, one of many.
Blue state expats are like rats bringing the plague.
They leave the areas they've already destroyed and move into new habitats.
One need look no further than Northern Virginia to see the damage that blue nanny statists can do.
I hate reality. Happy New Years
Here's my proposition. We split the United States into two countries. Teapartyland and the Union of Progressive Marxists. One will be packed to the brim with every marxist, commie, progressive, feminist and environmentalist currently in the US. The other will have everyone else. Then we can see which one has higher literacy rates, higher employment, more medical advances, a higher GDP, higher birth rates and a lower crime rate. I will bet anything you can name that it sure as hell won't be the marxist hellhole.
I am from a FUBAR blue state and moved to a red state and have a vested interest in keeping it red, not all of us fleeing the sinking socialist ships intend to bring that plague with us.
Paint with a bit narrower brush please.
Ditto's, retired, but an oath is forever.
"also to create a vast infrastructure of liberal organizations that produces an anti-Republican, anti-conservative echo chamber in politics and the media."
to CREATE one? Hello! We already have had one for decades! It is called the LeftStream Media!
The real problem is those who are buying into this insanity from the progressives.
I believe it easily. Once someone has accumulated a "screw you stash" ( so much that no matter what they do with the tax laws you will still have more than enough to stay very comfortable) their true convictions can come out. A rich socialist who would rather spend other people's money is still a socialist.
And your source for that pearl of wisdom is…
Still waiting droidy.
I would go with the Colorado model but as with most liberal ideals they blew their load to quick. 2010 was the election that count for the purpose of redistricting. The Republicans need to OCCUPY the mindset to the victor goes the spoil and redistrict as many democrats out of office as possible.
Another Colorado voter here. Good summary! Also, let's not forget that CO is one of the only states (maybe the only?) that has a TABOR law. It was lots of fun to see the latest tax-hike referendum get flushed down the toilet. IMO, that's keeping the libs from getting a legislative lock on the state…they have limited access to vote-buying funds–er, state budget.
Hemoroid, no one knows where Obama's money comes from. All kinds of foreign money from credit cards was brought in for the 2008 campaign.
Don't pretend you know where Obama's money comes from. Obama doesn't even know. If we had honest elections it would be investigated, but the government is controlled by progressives.
I like how you get down to brass tacks.
It's time to decide where the split will be. Right now, it seems the commie, marxist, progressive, environmentalist (aka treehuggers) are on both coasts. So, it appears the center of the country will be the rest of us.
BTW, it's time to get NJ out of the Dimwit Party, Vote Menendez and Pallone into a new career field. We need to replace them with Tea Partiers.
ABO2012. Vote for the stray dog down the street. At least the dog will do us no harm.
Afrer his first year in office he came back from vacation promising to focus like a laser on the economy….
Turns out he was focused all right….on his short game…
Those principles were enshrined in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. BHO has steadily been outlawing them bits and pieces at a time for 3 years now.
And stop the circular firing squad. We know where the enemy is.
A new plan for an old group called ACORN.
How many dead folks will vote dimwit this time.
We cannot afford to wait for rich conservatives to step up to the plate. And, guess what. Each of us still gets one vote.
Unfortunately, the Chicago politicians will get several for each of them. Obviously, we need to wake up more people and outnumber them.
So one state out of 50 has a common sense, self preservation law. Great. We need to increase that minority.
That's been a problem in NJ, too. Too many New Yawkers moving to the country and then demanding all the 'services' that cost them too much taxes in NY. Now Joisey is Joisey, the commie state.
Oh that is OK, we know your drinking koolaid.
MSM, CNN, CBS, NBC, ABC, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th threats to our freedom. They present their liberal opinions as news, and the not too bright sheeple lap it up as fact. If more don't start thinking, we won't turn the Titanic around before it sinks.
American conservatives have to learn that the Left in the USA are part of a GLOBAL movement and support comes from outside the USA to them in many different forms ( to include funding).
Conservatives think Red, White and Blue. Here and now. The Left thinks–"some time in the future, maybe 3 generations from now" and pacifying everyone to it's global will. Lies and criminality are fair!
Still the Red, White and Blue can prevail because the 7 points of the Colorado Model are laced together with funds, crime, and lies.
It's still leftists. It's model is spread threw the whole world to be seen.
That makes sense. Observation here in NJ. Pallone is a shill for the pharmaceutical industry. He does nothing for the taxpayers. He's been kept in office by redistricting with crazy lines drawn to keep him in. There was hope that this time around his number would be up. It doesn't look that way right now.
Menendez needs to go as well. He's the illegals' cheerleader. Jersey needs to cut him loose. There was hope Lou Dobbs would run for the seat. Doesn't look like that will happen. We need a couple Tea Partiers.
They just do not get it–those Californians. Is it their education system? There are just certain simple principles for freedom they just can't grasp with any degree of fluency.
Not a bad idea picking the center of the Nation. Some of us in the center States still have good economies and good schools. Most of us proudly fly our flags, salute and thank our Veterans and active duty Military. We are still clinging to our Bibles and our guns too.
Going nowhere is right, you are all in a big vicious cycle of a system that ends.
We got up and started doing something about our liberties and living the principles by taking a stand against big Government. We spent time writing our Congressional and Senatorial Representatives. We move petitions and rally to make our voices heard. We helped bring in one of the largest ever midterm voter turn outs in 2010. We promote and teach the Declaration of independence and the Constitution to those who do not know. We take every opportunity to ask others to participate in their God given liberty to be part of the solution, knowing those principles and voting their conscious. We work the fundamentals.
TEA PARTY PATRIOT.
<DIV>Maybe we canbest use the LIBERALS in the coastal states as cannon fodder for the border jumpers. They're a bit of a waste anyway. At leastthey'dbe good as a buffer for the real workers of the country. And, taking their numbers down would benefit the continent as a whole.</DIV><DIV></DIV><DIV></DIV><DIV style=”MARGIN: 5px 0px; BORDER-TOP: #bcbcbc 1px solid”></DIV>
I call what you describe Bacillus californiensis, aka The Pestilence of the Left Coast.
;-D
Obama took the largest donations from Wall Street and Fanny and Freddy and all the other failing Corps. and Financial institutions he Bailed out. Not to mention money from Imams from other Countries. You need to go follow the money and quit following the pied piper down the primrose path to perdition, koolaid kid.
For sure. However, I'd much rather see people behaving like grownups, though that's probably too much to ask for.
Vote Ron Paul and the Democratic party will collapse upon it's self as left wing groups like Code Pink and OWS attack Obama.
Jared Polis? Really? He's an establishment Dem, from the People's Republic of Boulder, yet.
If every Christian, every Conservative and every Republican would get off their duffs and out of their nice little comfort zones and do their civic duty, it would scare the crap out of the leftist Socialist Marxists, that think they have the upper hand. It makes me sick the amount of people who claim one of those categories, and yet they do not get involved in this process. We must keep reminding them that not voting for their principles and values leaves Marxists in charge.
For most Democrats it is their family legacy, their belief system, their religion. The leftists, progressives and Marxist have taken over the Democrat Party. Those plain old regular Democrats, can not bring themselves to betray their beliefs in their party. Then there are all those great Government hand outs and benefits that only the Dems. will provide. They just can't help themselves.
We have not watched those propaganda channels since they proved they were they were the Clinton net work news. That was what made Fox news get so popular. Now I listen to the Radio and get on line to find out what is really happening out there. I read a lot too. My grown children are all doing the same and my husband and I teach our grand children about our Government, why we have it and how it was formed. By the time they are in Jr. High they have an understanding of our Representative Republic and what it is founded on. We have to preserve it in our future generations now. We take the tweens and teens to rallies and political events and give them Constitutions to study. We get lots of good questions and feedback from them.
It is hysterical to hear traitor Senator Ben Nelson of NE say "the Tea party must be stopped". Excuse me? His retirement is another win for the Tea Party! Yippee! One down, plenty to go.
I'm wondering how many Americans have awakened to our treacherous position? 535 + the executive giving themselves free license to steal the country blind. This is what we are seeing here – liberals buying access to more taxpayer money for their own projects. Lets see: Obummer was worth $200K, then $2 million from books sales by 2009 and now $7 million. How does that happen?
Yes He is coming back but He does not want us to grow weary in doing what is right. We can not be defeatist, we have to do our best to fight the good fight. We are in a spiritual battle for what is right and wrong, good and bad, we will answer for the stands we take in every thing in our lives. If you believe in Jesus and are looking for His return, He wants to find us actively working for what is true and right and good. With His Gospel first, serving others and using opportunities He gives us to vote our conscious and pray for His will to be done. If we do not do these things then we have no right to complain about what we end up with. I believe that we have Obama in office because many Christians and conservatives either didn't participate in -08-. they may have been beguiled by Obama's hope and change mantra and his promises to unite the Country. God has allowed this Country to see first hand where Godlessness and Socialism leads and we are on that path to destruction. This has been a wake up call. We need to turn away from our wicked ways and repent and turn back to God and ask Him to heal our land. He can but will not if we do not do our part as His people. I can say this, if we do our part and put our trust in God and His will for our Nation until Jesus returns. We will at least be pleasing to God in our faith in Jesus and He can provide for all our needs no matter what happens. But we must run the good race until then. We need to call every man every where onto repentance.
Well it is very good to know about you and I hope and pray there are a lot more like you.
There aren't enough prison's to hold us if and when the 2A is exercised and you my friend are outgunned.
You know about De-Brucing? TABOR no longer protects the entire state, some municipalities and counties have been "De-Bruced" thanks to pols lying to their constituents.
Markey's area of representation is very conservative, most expected they'd swing back red. We have serious trouble with the state supreme court, despite the efforts of clearthebench.com. The ads against Ken Buck were coordinated with media — they all had the same false talking points. Add to that, 12,000 on the voter rolls that should have been purged. It's thought that approximately 6,000 illegal votes could have been cast for Bennet (Obama's own pick to fill Ken Salazar's seat), edging out Buck.
"also to create a vast infrastructure of liberal organizations that produces an anti-Republican, anti-conservative echo chamber in politics and the media."
I thought this is already where we were.
Good Article, nice to see there are others out there picking up on the game. I have said over and over the left is full blown attack mode, and yet people have a false sense of security after the 2010 elections. Anybody that has a clue knows this war is a 40 year war at the very least.
You're doing what all conservatives need to do. In case you didn't catch this article, it lists a few good patriotic books for the younger set: http://biggovernment.com/mlancaster/2011/12/24/la...
<DIV>I like the idea of involving the kids. Giving them the Constitution to study is great. It's a great suggestion. I think I'll give a copy to my 9 year old grandson. You think using other people's (taxpayers') money to buy votes is behaving like grownups. That is a pretty weird idea. Not to mention reprehensible, possibly illegal, and just plain wrong wrong wrong.
Why don't you spell out your acronyn?
The 'Colorado model' is a nothing but a made-up sliver of hope conjured up by political theorists protecting their livelihoods. On the other hand, living here it's not hard to imagine Colorado turning into California.
