We No Longer Need the NAACP
by Katrina PiersonThe NAACP should only propose resolutions that they have exercised themselves. The Tea Party, having only been active for a year and half, is the only group being singled out for racism in today’s society. There are races committed to the destruction of our entire nation and the Tea Party is being targeted as a threat. Perhaps it is a threat.

Could it be that the 2008 election served a greater purpose? The existence of the NAACP, and others like it, are threatened by the existence of the Tea Party. The reality is that we colored people no longer require the assistance from other Negros for advancement in 2010.
These groups run to the rescue of distressed brown people only when the media deems it newsworthy. Meanwhile, there are inner city black children who continue to grow up fatherless while sharing a neighborhood with stray bullets, drugs and a plethora of liquor stores on every corner. To my understanding of the” I Have a Dream” speech, Dr. King’s intention was far from gang-banging and gangster rap.
I don’t believe that the true meaning of this nation’s creed was to move black people from one form of slavery to another. The NAACP has been completely ineffective in my lifetime, and the lack of leadership in the black community has contributed to the ability of these groups to speak on behalf of the rest of us. The ignored and forgotten society that lives among the projects has been abandoned by the likes of NAACP. And, along with other groups and individuals that rode in the coat-tails of MLK, they are irrelevant but continue to feed off of the codependence that they have created among blacks for validation.
Once this is realized by the forgotten society, race in this country will be as irrelevant as those who thrive off of it

We no longer need the NAACP?
The name alone dates them.
National Association for the Advancement of Colored People?
Now when was the last time anyone used the term "Colored People"? That jargon went out in the 1960's.
The name is a demonstrative example of how "In the Past" the NAACP's mindset is.
Living on the hopes and dreams of Martin Luther King, all the while being bastardized by the professional pimps, race baiters and shakedown artists like Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton.
I'd like to commend the author. In the last three days, this was probably the most straightforward, succinct article on this topic.
"The NAACP has been completely ineffective in my lifetime, and the lack of leadership in the black community has contributed to the ability of these groups to speak on behalf of the rest of us."
It doesn't get any clearer, or plainer than that.
Like the energizer bunny this just keeps going and going! NAACP is a racist organization, why are folks surprised by their comments and hypocrisy? The TP is an unorganized 'organization' there is no central hub, yet are expected to deliver a directive to denounce those "bad apples" in the bunch! Every "side" has its share of radicals and extremists, all are guilty b/c of a few? I am curious has the NAACP denounced the Black Panthers?
has the NAACP denounced "leftist" fringe groups guilty of acts of violence and "frightening" rhetoric as some events depicted here? http://youtu.be/-Qtr0GIh7CQ
Touche Ms. Pierson! great article.
I AM the leader of the TEA Party and I reject racism in all of its forms.
I suspect that most of America has come to this same "irrelavent" conclusion… If the NAACP didn't have their national convention once per year so the MSM can get a few video clips out on them annually, I think many of us would think they had disbanded….
The NCAAP is as passe as The Village People and breakdancers wearing balloon pants.
So…I'm still wondering when Mr. Steele will CONDEMN the NAACP?
Must he still pander to the NAACP for political reasons?
"I don’t believe that the true meaning of this nation’s creed was to move black people from one form of slavery to another". You hit the nail on the head. This is why all races who care about our country, and constitution are standing up against Federal tyranny. This is why there is a Tea Party.

Nancy Pelosi on how to fix jobs in America. Politicians say the darndest things. This is an actual AUDIO of Nancy Pelosi from her press conference on July 1, 2010 at 2:10pm – CSPAN

Political Putana's Pandering for Public Peso's………
Yeah, I always thought they should update their name to National Association for the Advancement of African Americans, or NAAAA.
Point pervade precisely pertaining to politicians…
The #1 killer of Black people in America is abortion, yet the NAACP is decidedly PRO-abortion. They don't even advocate or encourage alternatives to abortion. So I don't understand how they can claim to be for the "advancement" of colored people when they don't even believe that colored people have a right to be born.
Come to think of it, why do we have the Congressional Black Congress or Black Entertainment Television or Black Engineer of The Year Awards? There's no way white people would form a Congressional White Congress, etc. I don't see the NFL or even America's Got Talent ghettoized this way.
"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." (Washington, DC, 28 August 1963)
Funny. I was toying around with some new names for them also. It must be the bored marketing guy in me.
If they changed it to American Association for the Advancement of African Americans, they could call themselves 5-A, or A-Quint.
Aquint could even absorb ACORN, and they could all be one big happy family…………..
The NAACP has to hide behind something, just like the Left does. The NAACP believes they can adjust and alter the words of Dr. King to fit their agenda, as do the Leftist think the same with the Constitution.
Do as I say, not as I do mentality for sure…
Now that was said AGAIN, let's wait for the NAACP response and attendance at Tea Parties, only then can there be change to believe in.
OFF TOPIC: Ms Pierson, please accept my apology, for hijacking your thread.
KFYO News in Lubbock Interviewed local Congressman Randy Neugebauer, TX-19 who revealed
allegations have arisen that the oRegime has attempted to interfere in the constitutional process
of Kenya, allegedly working behind the scenes to have their abortion law changed. Several members
of the USHOR are calling for an investigation, ASAP
Seems the NAACP is nothing but a bunch of Flip-Floppers, just like Obama has done. Hey, why not?

NAACP…….nothing but Poverty Pimps looking to make a buck off of people who are stuck on entitlements and the liberal/progressive ideology!
Katrina, this is a startling suggestion — that "colored people no longer require the assistance from other Negros for advancement in 2010" . That took a lot of courage to say what you did. Wow! I can't tell you how impressed I am.
"The NAACP should only propose resolutions that they have exercised themselves"
Well said Katrina. However, the problems with NAACP is, other than boo-hoo-ing, and whining, have no constructive solutions. Moreover, they pitifully can't lead by example, nor do they appear to want a Constitutional form of government, such as being pushed by the Tea Party Movement! In a nutshell…IMO, the NAACP are anti-American!
Well done, Katrina! Since you are one of the original voices of the Tea Party, your post means a lot.
Well, ok- as long as we are allowed to pronounce it with a slight vibrato at the base of the throat so that it sounds like what a billy goat says. Naahahahahahahaha or thereabouts. Because all of this racist schlock has overstayed its welcome- much like the neighbor's goat.
Very powerful stuff. Thank you!
Wow.
Ms. Pierson:
Glad you mentioned "gangster rap"…….
That horrible form of "music" as well as the "artists" who create it, have done more to harm the inner cities and all youth, black….white…..hispanic, than people truly understand.
And numbskulls, like Rev. Jesse Jackson, call it an "art form"……..
A genuine leader is not a searcher for consensus but a molder of consensus.
Martin Luther King, Jr.

Powerful statement.
King Jr's niece will be on Glenn Beck tonight. I learned so much the last time she was on. I really look forward to hearing what all she has to say concerning issues now.
Very well written, and ouch!!! that's going to leave a mark
The NAACP is a joke.
And OMG Katrina Pierson….WOW
He was a brilliant man. If he were here now he would condemn the NAACP for their actions. At least by reading the words of Martin Luther King, Jr., it makes it easy to determine that he would condemn their actions, and for their lack of integrity.
See my post below!!
You can count on that.
I really enjoy founders Fridays.
Let me get this straight—NAACP-That would be the National Association for the Assasination of Caucasian People—Sounds like a Racist organization to me!
I do too. And I have to admit that when he had the 2 shows on our black founders, I learned so much. I never knew we had so many black patriots until I saw his shows. In his audience, most were black and they didn't know either.
Which makes me wonder, how many of the people in these far left groups shouting racism….know?
How many care to learn? How many will continue to chastise Beck and the Tea Party?
Questions, questions, and no answers!
I AM the leader of the TEA Party and I reject racism in all of its forms!
Yeah, I remember mentoring troubled kids (white and black) that knew gangster rap songs forwards and backwards because they listened to them for hours (as opposed to doing anything silly, like homework or reading a book).
I don't blame the music or the artists though, I blame the parents who let the media raise their kids.
The world is never going to be babysafe, and as a guy who likes shows like Justified and The Wire, I would be very disappointed if it was, so parents always have to be vigilant. There is a long list of stuff I don't let my kids be exposed to, and I don't let them visit the houses of friends with permissive parents.
Well, if it were left to the Progressives he would be censored from the air waves. God bless Glenn. With his help we are learning those answers. He is a great American.
The NAACP provides a good living for its officers who might be on welfare otherwise. Otherwise it is worthless.
I wonder why black folks think things like awards for black people only or competitions like "Miss Black America" pageants are a good thing at all. What they're essentially saying is that black folks aren't good enough to compete with the rest of the field; that they can't win when stacked up against all, which seems extremely derogatory. I wouldn't want to win a "Miss White America" contest because all that says is that I don't have what it takes to compete with everyone else from any race and be just plain "Miss America." Such competitions would tell me that I need the contest or award's restricted entry criteria–which narrows the field of competitors significantly–in order to win, or make anything of myself.
The racist NAACP founded by three white honkeys was always a racist organization. It's purpose is to keep the "coloreds" down. It still is quite effective in keeping blacks on the plantation.
There never was a need for the NAACP. It was a mean joke from the beginning, just like Kwanzaa was.
Add La Raza in with Aquint and you'd have LaQuinta, and they could go out and build a chain of Inns and Suites, and together finally contribute something of value to society.
Why not just call it what it is? The NAAR.
The National Association for the Advancement of Racism.
As someone pointed out on another thread, the NAACP was not founded by black people for black people – it was founded by communists nearly a century ago, to foment separation. It had a valid purpose until the civil rights movement came along and basically accomplished legal equality. Social equality takes a bit of time to grow, but that was accomplished long ago too. Since the death of MLK his words have been forgotten and abused by people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, the Congressional Black Caucus and the NAACP, and the effort entirely focused on fomenting separatism and hatred, and on keeping the black "community" on that ol' Democrat plantation.
Hmm. Refined; National Association for the ANNOUNCEMENT of Racism.
Seems to be working. For how long, only time can tell. It is funny that the rebubs that wanted the slaves to be free are called racist, but the democraps who wanted slavery are the ones who the NAACP rally around…….
As Rush says, it should be NAALCP, the advancement of "Liberal Colored People."
The easy way when it pertains to achieving anything or lack of achievement is to blame someone else. People don't want to be responsible for their own lives. People need a common "enemy", and with the NAACP it is the white race. Are the white people in this country against black people progressing? What race is the President of the United States? What about Michael Jordan, Michael Jackson, Bob Johnson, Michael Steele, and on and on. How did they make it in this racist society where white people kept them down? WE ARE ALL JUST PEOPLE! Are there some whites who hate blacks? Sure. Are there some blacks that hate whites? Sure. MOST ALL PEOPLE DON'T HATE OTHER RACES! We need to stop looking at people as something other than people, end the NAACP and the NAAWP. I know, there is no NAAWP, that is my point. No one is holding you back. Certain "leaders" are making a great living out of race baiting. Move on people. Remember "If it is to be, it is up to me". Now go become president if that is what you want to be. Start a business. Get a job.
"…………We No Longer Need the NAACP………."
I would venture to say that by your article there Katrina,…….
you and all the rest the non-collective thinking and individual minded Blacks in this country,…….
never needed the NAACP.
NAAAA? naaaaaa….
I've learned more from Founders Fridays than I ever did in public schools. The sadness of that statement is unreal <sigh>
I totally agree. He is a great American.
It has become very clear to me that oBama and his posse with their socialist agenda are a divisive force in America. It is time he and the naacp pack their bags and leave.
I AM the leader of the TEA Party and I reject racism in all of its forms!
"Now when was the last time anyone used the term "Colored People"?"
I use it. Regularly.
Hey, they want to be called "persons of color," right? So I call them "colored people." What's the objective difference?
I AM a leader of the TEA Party and I reject racism in all of its forms!
I can assure you, Katrina, that you are more than welcome within our ranks of fellow patriots. As is any patriotic American who is for a constitutionally-limited government, individual liberty and responsibility, and against tyranny.
Indeed, Ralph. Dare to think for yourself. Katrina's article shows that she does. Bravo, Katrina!
