Milwaukee Union President Weeps for Lost Power
by Kyle OlsonWhen the leftist educator Bob Peterson, president of the Milwaukee teachers union, addressed his “comrades” at the Save our Schools conference in July, he couldn’t contain his emotions. He openly shed tears over the fact that Madison teachers walked away from their jobs during the February protests, leaving their students behind. According to footage obtained exclusively by EAGtv.com, Peterson told attendees:
“When things came down in Wisconsin – the Madison teachers…I’m getting emotional…the Madison teachers (Bob drinks water)…went out four days straight. It’s illegal to strike in Wisconsin. It’s illegal to strike. It wasn’t a strike. They called in absent. They exercised their political – their right to free speech. They weren’t striking against their employer. They were striking, really, against state power. They inspired the rest of us. The school I’m at – the first day, 87% of us teachers at Fratney [Elementary School] called in sick and went to Madison. We couldn’t shut down. We had a phone bank at Rethinking Schools the previous night trying to call enough teachers in Milwaukee to close down, we didn’t succeed. Our principal, though, said ‘go to it. If I have to have 400 kids in the gym, I’ll take care of it for you.’” (applause)
Peterson told his audience that a school administrator participated in a union plot to abuse sick leave policies and close schools. I stand corrected in my belief that the teachers unions were the only ones ignoring student needs while looking out for the selfish interests of adult employees. Fratney Principal Rita Tenorio is allegedly guilty, too.
Peterson told the audience that power comes from money and people. “We don’t have as much money as our enemies, so we have to organize ourselves.”
“We also have to name the enemy. We have to name it accurately. In Wisconsin, for instance, there’s a whole section of the ruling class – say, the GE company, the GE foundation – that doesn’t like Walker. They only support public schools.”
It’s virtually impossible to verify that statement. And who in their right mind thinks in terms of the “ruling class?” Only Marxists think like that.
Peterson also told his unionist listeners, “We have to teach our children.” He went on:
“If teacher unions want to be strong and well supported, it is essential that they not only be teacher unionists, but teachers of unionism. We need to create a generation of students who support teachers and the movement for workers rights, oppressed peoples’ rights. That’s our responsibility.”
So Peterson thinks more teachers should devote precious class time to indoctrinating students so they will one day defend the teachers unions. Is it any wonder that Jimmy and Jane can’t read? Is there any doubt that there is a pressing need for sweeping school reform in Wisconsin?
We need teachers who are committed to academics, instead of spreading their radical political beliefs to naïve children.

Someone needs to break the news to these leeching, bloodsucking parasite public employees and their union that, yes, it is true that no business has a "right" to make a profit, neither do THEY have any "right" to wages and benefits that their EMPLOYER, the taxpayer, cannot get nor afford to pay them.
Time to de-certify the union. And arrest all of its leaders.
Peterson also told his unionist listeners, “We have to teach our children.” Go ahead abnd "teach" yours. People who have sense will not allow you near theirs. You have failed to teach anything but an agenda full of political propaganda.

Thanks for admitting what we have been saying all along, teachers deliberately broke the law and lied about it. Most union teachers are a bunch of self centered, lying douche bags who spend class time indoctrinating their employers children in an attempt to subvert the will of the parents and that of the citizens. They are educating the children to become marxists and communists and there is only one way to stop them. Pull your children out of public schools and put them in a private school or home school them if you can.
Decertify the unions and fire the teachers who broke the law and went on strike!
Take a cold hard look at what your children are really being taught in school America. Then look at the Pee Party on Wall Street.
The education system in this country has done a real bang up job at "educating" the youth in this country. Sadly they are passing with flying colors…. the colors of socialism, Marxism and progressivism.
The ones on Wall Street need to get a lesson in cold hard reality. The kind that only a frozen sidewalk, a newspaper and a park bench can deliver.
The People are waking up to this all over the country,Marxist theology will not go over very well in my community, people see it,know what it is,and are rejecting it,if Marxist want to take over this country they better be prepared to die for their beliefs.
I would say the school boards should make sure that students are not being indoctrinated except that many members are former teachers and get money from the union for their campaigns.
Sounds like an excellent reason to home school. The leftists began their infiltration of the academic world in the sixties to indoctrinate our youth. Sad to say Khrushchev was correct when he stated that Russia didn't have to bury us, our own working class would do it for him. And truth be told, teachers and professors have been quite successful in the indoctrination process. Time to take back our schools and get on with real education – math, literature, science, civics, history, English writing and grammar. It's interesting that folks educated in the forties and fifties were better educated than their counterparts today. Slip sticks(Slide rule) and pencils put man on the moon.
"name the enemy" "teachers of unionism? "
Where did math go? What about doing a good job- TEACHING? This is disgusting. This guy is a prime example of the issue, it's become about the $ not the teaching. Disgusting.
These "teachers" have indoctrinated our own children into HATING us and HATING our country. How shall we return the favor? They want OUR money. We must focus on how we can make sure they never see a dime. Ideas? We need them!
This is my 2,502 comment through Intense Debate most of which were through the Big sites. I was banned from the Big Hollywood site about a year ago after I ignored a rather twisted message from editor John Nolte at my personal email. I have brushed off many personal attacks from other users, I post a photo of myself because I have nothing to hide and am proud of my patriotic views. I refrain from using foul language and abide by the rules as far as I know. Now however I have been banned from the Breitbart TV website also. So this will be my last post at least for a good long while as I feel I have better ways to use my time than patronizing a company that doesn't want my support. It just seems like a good time to pursue other ways to help this country than through here.
The commies are woven into the fabric of the public educational system to the point of turning it into what-
ever they want. If they want to transform our children into commie drones we can do little to stop them.
We can however homeschool future generations. Our children must be taught to understand how the
public education system was subverted incrementally over a span of a hundred years so that they will
be vigilant consumers, forevermore…
This morning I watched an interview on Bloomberg tv, a freaking commie, Jeff Sachs (Columbia prof) putting
forward the idea that the Wall Street "faux-tests" need to be responded to by the U.S. government, finding
ways to address these "students" concerns (their "concerns" equal the gov taking from me, giving to them-
selves).
Did the U.S. Govt or anyone in the MSM ever suggest the TEA Party's concerns were valid? NO! We were
ridiculed, or held up as examples of Right Wing hate. The MSM even searched for signs that we were dan-
gerous gun toting radicals, to be feared.
These "faux-tests" are clearly coordinated world-wide so that commie leaders, not only in the U.S., but every-
where, can seriously suggest these peeps must be addressed, rather than ignored. Did you hear them
being compared to the Tea Party? Laughable!!!
FIGHT on PATRIOTS!!!
Is he weeping because he lost his gold plated retirement? Welcome to the club where real people actually working to survive.
…Sunshine, the short word you could have used for ,"an agenda full of political propaganda",is COMMUNISM.
Gov Walker did it,and other Governors around the country are following the same path,if we are going to take back our schools from these Marxist we have to get involved with our local school boards, find out what these school boards are doing and ask the WHY question, get involved, get educated and stay involved,it's not to late,we can never ever give up!
This Marxist POS is simply symptomatic of a greater problem that is looming for this country. Our Liar-in-Chief sympathizes with and condones the OWS protesters. The public sector unions keep buying the politicians and voting themselves an ever greater piece of the pie. Class envy and racial tensions are getting higher and higher. Our government participates in illegal gun running that results in the deaths of Americans and citizens of another country. We are nearing financial ruin and total collapse, fueled by the insane and deliberate spending of our so-called leaders. We are sitting on a powder keg people, and the left is getting ready to strike a match. Be forewarned and be prepared, it is going to get ugly.
Bob Peterson is just sad that he & his cronies have been booted out of the "ruling class" in Wisconsin by the hoi polloi like me. This buffoon is so uninformed that he doesn't even know that 14 (not 13) crybaby Democratic senators FleeBagged it to Illinois. What does that tell you about his competency as an "educator?" Yeah, his "plan" is to use tax dollars to brainwash children to keep him in power & pad his wallet.
Gov Walker did it,and other Governors around the country are following the same path,if we are going to take back our schools from these Marxist we have to get involved with our local school boards, find out what these school boards are doing and ask the WHY question, get involved, get educated and stay involved,it's not to late,we can never ever give up!
Here is a short cheat sheet:
1.If it is democrat, it is communsist
2.If it is union it is communist
3.If it is progressive it is communist
4.If it is barack obama or anyone he's ever known, it is communist
5.We have communist b.o. and it can only be cured with Right Guard
If the folks of Wisconsin had an ounce of common sense they would throw all the unions out !
That is where parents need to become very involved in what the curriculum is in public schools. We need educated youth to take over when we are gone. What we don't need is a bunch of whiny, sniveling, pantywaist failures who blame everyone else for their failures rather than accept personal responsibility for their own actions or inaction..
I don't call them school board anymore, I call them plausible deniability. Another thought on former teachers on school boards, how is it not conflict of interest for them to bargain with the union? Don't they receive a pension and benefits as a former member of that union? We have a former teacher on our local school board, married to a working teacher in this district who just this past year "bargained" with the union and guess what – all demands met! UGH.
There was a time when teaching was considered to be a profession, now it is a job that attracts the lowest GPA percentile group with the highest degree of entitlement lust.
How do we give a platform to the real teachers, my friends and neighbors who do not like the current system? There are teachers who do not like a system that has too many administrators, last hired first fired policies, pay based on time and education instead of performance and a federal curriculum forced on them. Can the good teachers speak out without losing their jobs?
When we call public school, "government indoctrination centers," we speak the literal truth.
I don't think that the voters think about that union connection. They think they are electing someone who knows about education. The public needs to be educated.
In 1962, President John F. Kennedy planted the seeds that grew the modern Democratic Party. That year, JFK signed executive order 10988 allowing the unionization of the federal work force. If JFK can authorize that, the next President should be able to eliminate the "red threat" just as quickly with the stroke of his pen. Will he be courageous enough?
Very true Larry! Still on my 1st cup of the morning brew. I will soon be fully awake and more articulate.
Very good points! Which is why WE the People must not only concern ourselves only with the bastardization of the electorial process taking place at the national level, but be just as vigilant about who we vote on to local school boards.
Back in the day, we used to say that anyone who bombed out of a hard science, math or physics went into the teaching business. The adage that those who can do and those who can't teach is even valid today. Admittedly, there are both some great educators within the academic arena and there are some real losers. Our job is to root out the incompetents and reward the great if we wish our progeny to succeed.
A perfect example of a failed student is the gnome in the witless house leading this country into chaos.
Very true… I'd TU ya 50 for that one if I could… We called ps prison, but at least we were taught enough
of the 3 R's to survive, even thrive in this world… way back in the good ol' days. ; )
.
Very Ugly
Sad to see you go. I read some of your posts. We need you here.
Bottomline….The kids are failing and year after year they throw more money at it b/c the Teachers and the Union Leaders say they need it…………………..Why don't we reward those who show us performance and give those less who don't? Better yet, Let's Privatize the school system and do away with the uselessness of the Union!
From the sixties – Right on!
I agree…I just hope "Dear Leader" doesn't call for Marshall Law, and stops the 2012 elections….Hey, anything is possible with these Gangsters…
BO is a small community, divisive, narcissistic agitator. That's his only claim to fame unless one wishes to consider his failures, and he has been quite successful in that department..
Like you # 5. Excellent. Kudos.
Depends on whether or not we can elect a real conservative in 2012.Right now I am not impressed with rinos Romney and Perry.
Maybe what we need are student ombudsmen since this video makes it clear that neither the teachers nor the principal were looking out for the kids.
I was taught that communism was to be feared and strenuously avoided. I didn't understand it all
at the time (wasn't explained very effectively), but I never forgot to be wary of it's ability to rise over
and over if we became complacent. I wonder when the P.S. system quit teaching that? Somewhere
in the 70's I'd guess. I know my children learned nothing about it during their "education" in the 80's
& 90's. Their ignorance is appalling…
.
Time will tell, Rick. I, however, don't believe that doing the right thing, recinding executive order #10988, is a conservative or liberal issue. It is simply doing the right thing. Obviously, Herman Cain will be more LIKELY to recind the order than either Romney or Perry. That goes without saying.
If teachers were held accountable for their performance, as in nearly all jobs in the private sector, the selection would take care of it's self. The teachers would either perform as required or go to work for Wall Mart. Tenure is one of the major contributors to the downfall of academics in our country and of course unions.
Indeed. They should also be reminded that the taxpayers are XXXX were paying them to teach, not to call in *absent* in order to take time to go union thugerize.
Stay in touch, bashley! Your viewpoints, contributions and camradarie are more important; certainly more appreciated than you might imagine at the moment.
Abolish the Dept of Reeducation and public sector unions.
We use to start fights with other kids by calling them "communist." Times have sure changed.
Poor cry babies, lost their power and can't get it back! Tough cookies , bhuthead, now you know how the silent majority felt for mant many years. Live with it, we won.
But…….but….but the unions say it all for the children. Could they be deceiving us? Ans: Heck yes. It's really for the unions and their leaders. The students are merely a means to an end – more money into the trolls' pockets.
When Gorbachev tore down the wall we should have noticed where the bricks were being reused to build another one. Now those "bricks in the wall" are showing up to tout their wares on Wall Street.
If I was a dog I would be doing shoulder rolls in a pile of their misery! Suffer, long, deeply, and irrevocably. Americans DESPISE YOU AND YOUR UNION. I view Wisconsin's unionista "teachers" as a variant of child molesters of the immoral and insidious kind. May your buildings be reduced to government surplus and the students worth saving be removed to the safety of private schools, charter schools, home schooling, whatever it takes to protect them from Peterson class anti-American perverts!
Keep these radical Marxists out of your childrens' classrooms….end Govt Unions….purge the Union Surge…make it a Union Dirge…
Rick, you are right. This is a disgrace.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUrbBll0TuQ
That would be my reaction to the union president.
The union deserves its power loss and no longer taking advantage of students. Since their job is to educate students, not the students to support teacher unionism.
Great, teach political indoctrination instead of actual skills one needs to get a job. I'm not talking about the three Rs either, though they are most important.
More, I'm referring to "shop" class, where kids learned how to do things with their hands. Whatever happened to woodworking, metal and HVAC classes?
Not everybody needs or can go to college. We can't all be computer programmers! Pushing your kids to go to college is a joke. We can spot these things in our children and we know they are not going to be doctors or lawyers in a lot of cases but, we push them instead of showing them they can have productive lives as plumbers or carpenters.
If they show promise, great but, we have to shake this mindset that one is worthless without a college degree!
A lot of WI have decertified. They didn't even attempt to hold a vote. I think this guy is likely weeping over all of his lost dues. HA!
I totally agree. Thank you for standing up with the tax payers of WI.
More reasons to have the local school districts tax & run thier own schools.
"How about fries with that order" seems more appropriate.
Union leaders begin to realise they have lost the support of a majority of the country. Their membership continues to dwindle. The actions of state legislators facing the reality of budgetary collapse are forced to make choices never before presented. Unlike the "leech class" of politicians in DC who have the ability to print money, most states require a balanced budget by statute. What has been of surprise to many is the support the legislators who stood their ground have recieved, not from the loonie unions, from the rank and file citizens made aware they were being used as a piggy bank for spoiled brats in the "supposed" public servent sector. Cry unions, cry…. your days are numbered. New adminastration, congress and senate are on the horizon..followed by the demise of NLRB, and a new AG, one with the moxey to go after all these neredwells.
I fought in a "war" against communism as did the Korean vets. Yet today the world is upside down and communists are running the govt, our unions, and our educational system. I respect our form of government. However, can't say that about those currently in positions of authority. No wonder the infamous Nappy Poo of homeless insecurity fame classifies vets as potential homegrown terrorists.
I have already shown my daughters the perils of being goons in the unions. I have shown them the violent tactics they use and the infantile BS they employ. When they try this with my daughters, they will laugh in the teacher's faces. They have already told their teachers that they have no sympathy for the unions whatsoever. Sure, it has caused problems between the teachers and my daughters but once I went to the school and had a sit down with the teachers reminding them exactly whom they work for and told them one more instance and not only would I get a lawyer, I'd beat them within an inch of their pathetic lives. They have since not bothered them at all and treat them with respect.
Good morning, Sunshine. A bit of a ditty from the 60's paraphrased and dedicated to WI teacher's unions:
Teach your children well,
Send them to Hell,
Right by your side.
Of course they were looking out for the kids. The principal was willing to incarcerate the little crumb crunchers in the gymnasium while the teachers went to protest.
Ignore them! Change your pen name to Bashly or Bashlie. My guess is that some "sensitive" but anonymous closet lefty is sending stuff to the administrators and mischaracterizing their indignity on your account.
I hope you stay around. You always have good insight into what's going on. All the best to you….and go Broncos!
I think the previous Ruler…errr….Governor of Wisconsin (Doyle?) signed a bill into law requiring that the Union movement be taught in all public schools.
I feel like Cartman in the "Scott Tenorman Must Die" episode of South Park: "Yes! Yesss! Oh, let me taste your tears, Bob!"
Oh wow, Bashley! I, for one, really look forward to your posts. You gave me hope that maybe the youth of America are better informed than I thought. That was comforting to an old phart like me.
Will miss you.
Understand about the IP blocking but am surprised that Brietbart would persist with such specific triteness. There have been some pandering trolls who have managed to show up and eventually disappear, including VJ. I miss some of the trolls, they can be very amusing.
Well, if you have made your case with the administrators, including Andrew, then it is their loss, of integrity. When the censorship is unwarranted, the entire culture of a site eventually reflects that.
Until the next time, here's wishing you well, save a lib when you can, it's a thankless job but someone has to do it and Reagan has already served his time!
Actually the parents should have kept all those kids at home so the school would have lost the daily $$$ for each student. Next time there's a strike parents should call in "personal days" for their kids. If they can do it we can too.
The comment about not being about to “outspend” their competition is pretty comical given how much money was spent during the recall elections (http://eng.am/rdchdL), and that taken together, the American Federation of Teachers and the National Education Association have been the nation's leading political donors in federal elections over the past two decades. Teachers' unions are either number one or number two in terms of political giving in 60% of US states (http://eng.am/pdU7XL).
You would think teachers would be for a plan that decreased class size (http://eng.am/nGSRqB), increased overall job growth (http://eng.am/pPPXkn), and prevented unfair termination (http://eng.am/n6Bc6d). However it seems sparing those at the top while plundering those at the bottom is more important to the teachers unions than a fair and sustainable system.
Oh believe you me, it was my sincere pleasure to vote out the bums who have been a boot on our throat for the past three decades.
Why not?
Pleassssssee….like you care about the students? You union 'goons' only want power, prestige and union 'dues' to be the 'cash cow' of the Democratzi 'loons'!
Now that your membership and the general public have awakened to what you are doing…you are crying!
Give us all a royal break…because we need one…from the likes of you and your false messiah and his henchmen!

I'll reach out to her on the BC and see what the hell happened.
Work your magic, there, Romeo…

Yes on the BC, like you have with mutual friends in here.
This is beginning to get out of hand with all these posters getting banned, and there ARE a lot.
"…..like you have with mutual friends in here."
I wasn't aware of any "mutual" friends.. But that could change..
I would like to know what gets a person "banned".
I see these miserable trolls here, doing the devils work, yet they go on and on..

You will be missed. As I have stated before, "You are wise beyond your years." I always will wish you nothing but the best for you! Thanks for your friendship, and kindness!
Wow… What an unfortunate development as far as I'm concerned.
Why on earth would you have been banned?
I read your posts all the time… and have always been impressed with your patriotism and your insight into the political and social issues that we all have an interest in.
As a musician myself, I always wondered what your instrument was… and I've always been happy to see and know 'right' minded individuals in the arts… gives me hope for humankind…!
