Crack-pot Detroit Socialist Explains His, Unions’ Agenda for Soviet States of America
by Kyle OlsonMilitant socialists were out in full force Thursday, March 4th, for a “Day of Action to Defend Public Education.” The nationwide event was organized by fringe, left-wing groups like Michigan’s “By Any Means Necessary,” Ohio-organized “Community Organizing Center for Mother Earth,” Los Angeles-based “County Peace and Freedom Party,” the “League for the Revolutionary Party” of New York, and North Carolina’s “Destroy Industry.”
In Detroit, a chap representing the Che Guevara-loving, Mumia Abu-Jamal-supporting “FIST Youth” educated a crowd of about two dozen about the virtues of socialism. He also lectured on the Soviet Union, its roots and the glory days when the “people’s council” made all of the important decisions.
Strangely, that’s not the Soviet Union I learned about in public school. I was taught about a ruthless nation that annihilated the United States. I learned about a Soviet Union that starved its people and constructed drab buildings while its leaders lived the high life. (Well, that last part I had to find out on my own.)
But that’s enough of my take on the socialist rally in Detroit. You can enjoy the history lesson for yourself.
I respect this guy - he represents the strain of socialism that lays it all out for America to ponder. That’s more than I can say for our current leaders, who couch their true beliefss in poll-tested phrases and flowery language.
Perhaps the most humorous part of the rally was the SEIU jacket-wearing lefty holding the banner. That’s what really makes SEIU’s influence so scary. Its members stand “in solidarity” with these radical windbags, while its leaders and former staffers roam the White House.

This guy and people like him claim they have a RIGHT to food, housing, education, medical care, a good job, well my question is what person in this country doesn't already have that right? What he really means by "right" is that he and his fellow socialist want to have these things provided to them for free. If he wants food, housing, education or medical care he has the right to go buy those things, no one is denying him any of these things. If he wants a good job then he has the right (obviously not the work ethic) to obtain the skills that an employer would hire him for and pay a good wage. If you quit school or spend your time smoking pot behind the gym and you end up sweeping floors for the rest of your life without working hard to improve the skills you could sell to an employer then the only person responsible for your being stuck in a low paying non-skill oriented job is YOU! They want the government to provide them with what they are not willing to work for and that government subsidy always comes from the paychecks of those who did work hard to improve their lives and from people who pay their own way. It's time to go Gault.

I am surprised by the timidity of so many Conservatives and Tea Party people. Don't question Obama's citizenship or we might be called "birthers." If he has the right to a free education, then that means his professor has to provide it for free. Does that mean that when he gets his free education, he is going to provide his 'services' for free, as other people must–by definition–have the same rights he has? As a sort of tangential issue, it seems to be the conventional wisdom that the GOP is going to win at least one (Inhofe predicts winning the Senate) house of congress in November. If this comes to pass, how do we conservatives make sure to not have a repeat of '96, where the GOP had both houses and kind of over reached (though it can be argued that they got tagged with the blame for shutting down the gov't when it was in fact Clinton), resulting in a second term?
I read somewhere that that is BO's best chance at a second term–that he can blame the GOP as being a 'do nothing congress' (which is precisely what is needed but will be spun negatively).
