ACORN’s Machinations Are Lipstick on a Pig
by Kyle OlsonBoy, ACORN is good. They’re so good the White House should give them a call and seek some political tips. Er…given the recently-unearthed video of the president yearning for ACORN’s endorsement, something tells me that’s not necessary.
The evolution of ACORN, summarized by Matthew Vadum, is not surprising but is impressive. Even Al Capone wasn’t this successful at morphing his organization into a new beast.
But interestingly, that’s not exactly what’s happening. ACORN is simply adding to and remodeling what it has already created. The gang is splitting up to do the same work, likely with the same funders – radical foundations and individuals…oh, and the American taxpayers.
But rest assured, no lessons have been learned, nothing will really change. The same people are involved. So no one expects there to be much difference. New box, same crappy product. The radical left is simply painting a little lipstick on the pig and hoping American will fall in love with it all over again.
What is particularly disturbing about what is happening is that ACORN is essentially adding new corporate identities to its massive roster, already pegged at somewhere around 300. ACORN now appears to be decentralizing, making it a much harder target to scrutinize – which was likely the point.
No slimming down, no greater efficiency – just more confusing bureaucracy. So of course, the natural question is: which came first, the chicken or the egg. Did ACORN learn its model from leftists and the federal government or did the federal government learn its bureaucratic ways from ACORN, because that is all that seems to be being proposed in Washington these days? It’s a question for the ages, and I’m digressing…
The fact of the matter is, ACORN is transforming itself to shed is soiled name and continue receiving tax dollars – our money. And until there’s serious leadership in Washington, DC prepared to tackle the waste and fraud, they’ll be successful.

Quite frankly though, the ONLY person who has been more successful in re-creating himself, in morphing from a non-descript nobody of a broken insane politician, into the worlds first carbon billionaire, is AL GORE.
ACORN could sure learn some new tricks from Al and his PR team. When he folds his carbon tent and slithers away, possibly he could get a gig with Bertha Lewis……….

Why is this organization being allowed to continue under any name? Did I miss something? Where are all those great republicans who deserve to be re-elected to stop this? Im not holding my breath as they have clearly demonstrated they do not deserve to be re-elected. Its obvious the radical dems will allow this evolution in a corrupt machine to continue at the taxpayers cost (just wait you'll see this and that funding via your tax dollars), but the repubs that sit in DC and do nothing are just as bad. I'm still lost at the GOVT. funding a group that obviously has a political agenda? Since when does the GOVT. need to go out (or have someone do out for them) and register people to vote? If you won't take the time to go register (I'm having a non-inclusive moment here!) to vote, then maybe you shouldn't be voting in the first place!

It's interesting that establishment conservatives only notice "big government" when it's something their political enemies want. When conservatives want it, apparently it doesn't count.
• If a conservative wants a trillion-dollar foreign war, that doesn't count.
• If a conservative wants 800 military bases in 130 countries, that doesn't count.
• If a conservative wants a 700-billion-dollar bank bailout, that doesn't count.
• If a conservative wants to spend billions fighting a needless and destructive War on Drugs, that doesn't count.
• If a conservative wants to give the Executive unchecked powers to spy and kill and ignore 4th Amendment rights, that doesn't count.
• If a conservative wants to spend billions building border fences, that doesn't count.
• If a conservative wants to "protect" the huge, unjust, and terribly inefficient Social Security and Medicare programs, that doesn't count.
• If a conservative wants billions in farm subsidies, that doesn't count.
The fact is, liberals and conservatives both want big government. Their visions just look a little different from each other.
Lets give a little credit where credit's due……..Obama has created at least 3 new jobs so far. 1 in Virginia, 1 in New Jersey, and 1 in Massachusettes. Just give his policies a little more time and think of all new jobs people will have in November.
Now that ACORN is gone, is O'Keefe going to be bugging Congressional offices full-time?
When are you going to have a story on how Breitbart and O'Keefe lied about those videos and used deceptive editing. He wasn't dressed as a pimp when he went to Acorn , nor did he present himself as a pimp.

Damn! You got me, Ray! Rooster was on Baretta. Huggy Bear really was the one who exemplified the "pimp outfit" though. As a side note, the actor who played Huggy Bear was named Antonio Fargas. His son was a stand-out player for USC's football team a few years ago.
A lot of unproven, uncharged allegations about ACORN are touted on this site. In this case, no one forced those guys to be dressed as phone company repairmen, and they pretty much admitted lying about who they were and what they were doing there.

When was what he was wearing even an issue? He could have been dressed in a Ben Franklin costume and the facts would still remain the same. O'Keefe exposed one of the most corrupt organizations in the USA, an organization that used YOUR money to perpetrate their corruption.
