Meet Captain Obvious: Joe Biden
by Kyle OlsonYesterday, Vice President Joe Biden visited CBS’ “Early Show” for a “wide-ranging interview” during which he said, “We understand why people are angry…We get it.”
Um, no you don’t. Because if you did, Mr. Vice President, we wouldn’t keep hearing stories about the executive branch seeking ways to act unilaterally on domestic issues it can’t seem to get passed in the lopsided, Democrat-controlled Congress.
And we wouldn’t keep reading about SEIU and other bankrollers of the Obama campaign demanding swifter action on agenda items that are in their interest.
Vice Captain Obvious also had this observation: “Washington right now is broken.” Help me out, Joe. Your party controls 59 seats in the Senate. You have a huge majority in the House. Yet Washington is “broken?” Under whom is it broken, Joe?
This is the same Veep who said we must spend our way out of the recession, and now says our country is in “deep trouble” unless deficits are tackled. What a joke.
Obama’s agenda is in shambles, his poll numbers are sinking lower, and his former disciples in Congress are heading for the exits by the droves.
And somehow the Republicans are to blame.
The message Joe and Barack should have received from the special election in Massachusetts was, “Hey guys, get your act together. Get something going.”
Their problem is that the people want to get job creation and deficit reduction “going,” while the SEIU and the liberal base of the Democratic Party want something entirely different. It’s a vexing challenge that spells real trouble for this administration in the months leading up to the mid-term elections.

Broken, Joe? Who broke it? Who is responsible? Joe, do America a favor and hang those SOBs.
I have thought Joe to be a buffoon for many years but now he is taking nitwittery to new levels on an almost daily basis. To say that he is a caricature of the addled would be casting them in a bad light.
To quote Sean Hannity, "Joe Biden is the gift that keeps on giving."
I believe he forgot to include the letter "K" from his name. It should read J-O-K-E Biden.

Vice Moonbat Biden is nothing but a tool. One of many tools Barry has in his belt. Granted, he's a pretty dull, bent, and poorly maintained tool, he still is a tool nonetheless. Out of touch doesn't even begin to explain this motley crew. It seems to me that the Attorney General of the United States of America should be voted on by the people, not an appointment by chief walking eagle. There must be checks and balances in place. And right now I'm checking to make sure I have enough ammo, so when I hear Paul Reveres cry…I will be ready to defend Freedom and Liberty, as my fore fathers have done. I'm willing to sacrifice what I have in an attempt to restore peace to the Republic. I will not tire of the fight, and I will never give up….I am an American, and I'm mad as hell…!!!

Would this man even be considered for a top executive position? Only if he performed his job REALLY well, because he would be a PR headache. Never in my corp. What will the cost be for this so-called bi-partisan commission?? This should be something that is done by Congress not the Executive Branch….

if I follow your logic, those people do not work cheap. They are all high powered, high profile attorney's and lobbyists. There will be 18 of them. Say hypothetically they each get 100k. That is 1.8 million. Granted, when running trillion dollar deficits, a 1.8 million dollar price tag might pay interest on the debt for 15 seconds, but it is still money.
Barrack creates a "Panel", employs people (maybe that is part of the jobs created/saved concept) then pays them with OUR money.

FOR THE RECORD: I am sick and tired of the democrats and Oblamer in particular to keep blaming Bush for the recession and the concomitant unemployment numbers.
First, Bush inherited a recession himself when the bubble of the internet burst and then the economy got lambasted with 9-11. During this time he had a republican congress that had lost it's way and were acting like democrats when it came to spending. During his terms the highest the unemployment numbers got was 6.3% and averaged 5.2%.
Second, when the congress was taken over by the dems in November of 2006 the rate stood at 4.5%. Over the ensuing months the rate of unemployment steadily grew each month without exception to 7.7% at the time of Oblamer's innaugeration. We know what has happened since.
Let's review: CONGRESS controls spending (wasting) and anyone who wants to see a REAL HOCKEY STICK chart can look at the growth in unemployment since the dems took over congress. Don't believe me,,,look it up losers. Our economy is where it is because of Nancy and Harry. Oblamer was part of that congress though to his credit he was absent most of the time that he was not voting 'present'.
The whole flippin lot of them are so schizo. Biden is the worst…painful to watch as my country is winding down. I suggest Abilify for the whole lot of them. Here is a scary thought, he's VP and who would be in charge if anything happened to O…kind of makes it hard to make the choice of impeachment for O……nah!
And to think they were to bring a new level of respect from the countries of the world. What a bunch of jokers. What is amazing is the (Hits) just keep coming and they have singlehandedly turned the Presidency into a parody.
I hope that the 18 to 35 year old voters are paying attention to this travesty in motion…if they are, there is a good chance that the Democratic party will be voted out of power for the next 30 years.

The Republicans have brought the Senate to a standstill through filibusters or threat of filibusters, and sometimes with the help of Joe Lieberman, who is essentially a Republican. So nothing passes. So you are correct, it is not just the Republicans who are to blame. It is the Republicans and Joe Lieberman. And the Dems are to blame for caving in to Republican threats of filibusters.

But while the Republicans in Congress have been whittled down to a very right wing core who agrees on most issues and automatically have 40 or 41 votes in the Senate against every bill, the Dems cover a wider political spectrum and need to work very hard to get the unanimity required to pass anything.

I would love to have any reporter ask them if Washington is broken, and things can’t get done, why is it the Republicans fault, when the Dem’s have a majority in the House and Senate, and the Presidency?
I would also like a reporter to ask in what world the stimulus has worked. They say that they have created or saved 2M jobs, (this is bogus, but let’s give it to them for the sake of the argument) and yet 3M new people are unemployed in the last year. The stimulus was 787B, and is now at 837B with a 50B increase due to unemployment overruns, so let’s do the math, and we will completely ignore the fact that most of this money went to special Dem pet projects, and to raises for Dem State, county, municipal, teacher and union etc. workers.
Unemployment went from under 8% to 10% in the last year. And this is good?
Cost per saved/created (hypothetical) jobs = 837B/2M or appx $420,000 per job. And this is good?
They could have paid each person who lost a job in the last year, and their imaginary 2M extra people appx 165k in the last year. They could have given all small business’s a two year income tax holiday, (the people who actually create jobs), they could have started a works program and employed 8.37M people at 50k a year for two years, they could have done almost anything, or nothing at all, and we would be in a better position as a country now.
At this point, someone in the White house has to be thinking that it might have been better to mirandize Biden instead of the Christmas undie bomber, in the hopes that he would have stopped talking over the last month.
