I'm not certain, but I suspect a woodchuck or a beaver or a similarly-jawed animal has got hold of her ankle. Obviously the woodchuck is in cahoots with Cheney. Woodchucks are known to buzz-saw through a young willow sapling in several seconds flat. The woodchuck will make short work of her tender ankle.
