White House Visitor Logs: Pay No Attention to Socialized Medicine

It’s like a dog trainer pleading with a beagle sitting patiently, waiting to attack the target, while a big, fat steak is plopped by his paw.
At 4:31pm this past Friday, typical fare for this crew, the White House sirens released a partial list of visitors to the West Wing. Why not a full list? Who knows? But some of the names were ones that were in the conservative wheelhouse during the election and the first 10 months of this year: Bill Ayers, Michael Moore, Jeremiah Wright and George Soros.
But MSNBC claims the first three: Ayers, Moore and Wright aren’t the Ayers, Moore and Wright. Then why release the names? Not to mention: the White House staff and the president himself just happen to have other friends named Bill Ayers, Michael Moore and Jeremiah Wright? That’s bizarre.
This is likely Act II in the White House slight of hand to distract from the real issue: Reid and Pelosi’s lengthy bills to takeover health care in America. Act I, of course, was the blatant attack on Fox News, which fizzled, arguably backfired and ultimately died.
Conservatives need to stay focused on the wise words and analysis of those such as Byron York, and not be the distracted by the made-for-TV sideshows the White House has been creating.
But while we’re on the subject, it does make me wonder if seasoned ”experts” are running the White House political strategy room or if Soupy Sales is calling the shots. In my view, the White House’s selective transparency is again a political tool to sway attention from socialized medicine.
Some of what I’ve said has been unfair and I must issue an apology. I’m sorry to the late Soupy Sales for comparing him to the White House staff.
Enough of the silliness. Conservatives to remain focused on scrutinizing the issue at hand: exposing the Democrats’ health care proposal – because scrutiny and exposure will lead to a death by its own weight. It’s easy to fall into the trap laced with red meat. Don’t let it happen.

Has anyone brought up the point, as to why Obama is campaiging so hard in New Jersey for John Corzine? Corzine was Co-Chairman at Goldman Sachs, along with Henry Paulson. The Obama administration will just keep on tossing red meat out to the Right. The more they can distract, confuse and split us up chasing their tidbits of corruption and socialism, the less chance we have to do anything about it.
The big problem for the Right is that with this administration, there is plenty of red meat available to be tossed by them. We need to remain focused on the most important items of their agenda which will destroy our Country so they can be stopped and ignore the the steady stream of distractions they throw out, no matter how enticing those distractions are.
Isn't it funny, I mean hysterical, that the same people who are "speaking truth to power" and advocating pay restrictions in the public capitalist marketplace, are the same ones who made their fortunes in it a decade ago? Hank Paulson, John Thain, John Corzine.
Corzine alone made in excess of 400 MILLION when Goldman Sachs went public, prior to Paulson staging his coup and ousting him. These people are all hypocrites, all evil.
The White House keeps throwing these bizarre stories out there hoping Conservatives will jump, then WH can say "Oh look how silly those hateful Cons are" of course through the WH official channel MSNBC. We have to take anything we hear that may be tempting to jump on with a grain of salt. Nothing this Administration says is the truth, nothing. They are liars and thieves and complete sociopaths.

I'd like everyones advice and input. I was doing a little research, and came up with a theory. Most states and the Federal Government have a set of laws, known as "Sunshine Laws" or "Open Meetings Laws", designed to "shine the light of day" on meetings "held in the dark". Why then have all these meeting been held in the dark, behind closed doors, in the dark?

I think everybody should be screaming about the manner and methods involved in this entire charade. The illicit and nefarious activities surrounding this entire process needs to be examined, and the light of day needs shined on this process. Who was there, what was said. A transcript of every word, every nuance.
Quite frankly, using this line of reasoning, I believe Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid just broke numerous Federal Laws.

I have been wracking my brain for months now, trying to come up with the right acronym for the Health Care Program. We all know the Government loves Acronym's in naming pet pork projects. Remember CON-rail and AM-track that "saved" the railroad industry?

Ok I browsed the list a bit and here is what I gleaned:
Rahm Emmanuel met with John Podesta the most
Barack met with Andrew Stern the most
Valerie Jarret seemed all over the place, like she either didn't focus on own person, or they omitted who she was meeting with
Tina Tchen seems to meet with people the most – wasn't she working closely with Jarret? I think she should be watched more closely – esp. due to her Chicago background.
Also, the Michael Moore(s) on the list didnt' have the "real" Michael Moore's middle initial and that seems like a common enough name and uncontroversial enough figure for them not to lie about it. The same is partially true of one of the Bill Ayers names, but unknown for the first one listed. No additional info on who the Jeremiah Wright was.

I agree. When the unions were pushed ahead of the bondholders in the takeover of Detroit I was amazed at the quietude… I think this is a piece of the same thing: no one knows what the rules are anymore. I think this is a huge drag on the recovery.

I wonder if anyone else noticed this other little "tidbit", but if you view the list in it's enlarged form it will open to a new window and you will see in the upper-left corner in the header there is an option for you to "Socialize This". The more well-known term used is SHARE, so you can re-post to Facebook, Myspace, etc…I wonder if this is a pun? Sick joke.

I was in town today-speaking volumes. Pass on the word about this website and Andrew Breitbart. People were most welcoming. They know somthing is not right but have no idea where to turn for what’s really taking place with “OUR WHITEHOUSE!” Out of over the 20 some peope I spoke to-only one couple watches fox news. I don’t believe people are are that ignorant-but the newsource they have been relying on isn’t making this news either. Get out and get the news OUT!

One problem, Nancy B., is that Fox is only available on premium "packages" on some cable companies, Direct-TV, etc. People who need real news the most, simply don't have access. Many if not most accept as gospel what the "news" reports; it isn't their fault — no one can know what they don't know.
One remedial approach is to start current events discussion groups at your local library or other community facilities, send out press releases to local papers about the meetings, and cultivate some of the papers' beat reporters to get them to attend & cover the meetings. You may only get a small handful of people at first, but keep it interesting, non-confrontational and with some humor, & the newspaper's coverage will encourage larger & larger crowds. An extra up-side is that the local paper will start covering all sides of the discussion topics.
One thing to keep in mind, though: Most people are apolitical, and not aware or just becoming aware of current political realities. Keep things positive and non-alarmist, or risk 'turning off' prospective participants.
This Chicago style mob mentality in the White House will be the fall of this administration! They actually really think that we are ALL stupid and will believe anything they tell us??? Even the people who really wanted change in this country are seeing this monster for what he is..God help us!
They might not have 'premium packages' with their cable but, I would be willing to bet they (most) have computers…maybe subtle suggestions that they check out the news sites would be helpful?
Damned shame Soupy is not with us anymore… I grew up eating lunch while watching Soupy and his pals, White Fang and Black Tooth…. Sure miss those days of innocence and prosperity !

You're right, of course, and they could simply tune into any number of radio shows to at least hear & understand there is another perspective; but my point remains: No one can know what they don't know. The (old) media still tells them that, other than a bunch of disgruntled right-wingers spouting nonsense, everything will be jake once "the one" solves the problems caused by prior Administrations.
So, they tune into "American Idol" and surf the net for celebrity trivia, then get their political news & views from (70%) late night comedians. But they believe, they really believe, they're "pretty well-informed," but just not very interested in "politics as usual."
We definitely can't afford to become distracted or lazy. They will continue to push until they can push no more. Just look how long it took before they dropped the push for "comprehensive immigration "reform". They are not quite relentless but they are certainly ruthless. It's like the word game they so love. From "government option" to "public option" to "consumer option" to "lipstick on a pig option". It's not that their out of touch with their constituents so much as they are out of touch with reality. They are in a constant state of denial. They refuse to believe the American public can think for themselves let alone well enough to govern themselves as the constitution established. What they fail to see is how insulting it is when they look down their nose at us and demand we agree with them. Little do they know how damaging to their own reputations this behavior is and it will inevitably come back to bite them in the ass.
