Infamous New Orleans ACORN HQ SOLD!
by Kyle OlsonAnyone in the market for a creepy former funeral home whose major claim to fame is miraculously housing over 200 organizations? Word is, you’re out of luck.
Apparently an offer has been accepted for ACORN’s long-time headquarters on Elysian Fields Avenue in New Orleans, on the edge of the 9th Ward. SEIU 100, which Rathke founded, was also headquartered in that building.
I visited that location in late July to see it for myself, as a colleague and I were in town to attend a Wade Rathke book signing that evening. Because of our straight-forward questions and unedited answers, Wade Rathke called us “Infiltrators.”
Upon seeing the building for sale (which he had seen in b-roll video footage before), we check out the listing on the website of French Quarter Realty. Other information can be found at Realtor.com, which basically a massive nation-wide Multiple Listing Service.
ACORNcracked.com obtained this information packet for the property, including interior photos.
When we checked in late July, the property was listed for $885,000. It was $835,000 when an offer was made and accepted. We won’t know the selling price until the deal actually closes.
But now that it looks very possible that ACORN is about to get a major infusion of cash, one wonders how it’ll be spent.
Paying legal bills to sue filmmakers? Settling tax liens? A few last ditch attempts at subverting democracy? I’m guessing the latter. After all, when there’s socialized medicine to be passed and filmmakers to be sued, who needs to worry about a silly little thing like paying taxes?

Ha! The funeral home that was a central money laundering operation for Acorn and SEIU. Too funny, all they will do is move to another funeral home. How appropriate! Is that where they got all the dead people's names for voter registraion? I am sick of this corruption. We need to stop this and I personally have nothing to lose. I heard the buyer got an interest-only loan, with no money down.
From what I've read, ACORN has not been in the building for some time, but has been operating out of another location in New Orleans.

I am going to have to start not liking John Stewart a little bit less now. He did a gut ripping great job on CNN tonight. If you can find it I highly recommend it. The show was awesome up until he brought out the disgrace from AZ govonorship, now Homeland Security Sec, Janet Napolitano (J-NO) But to recap Stewart just took them (CNN) apart for the fools they are, but wait I cannot really give Stewart too much credit as the material was just begging to be done. I don’t know about Louisiana, but in most states a purchaser takes subject to preexisting liens on property and becomes liable for them if they are now paid off at closing. ACORN might not get much money from this sale at all, as there are inumerable tax liens and probably a mortgage.

Well, hopefully the evil spirits will leave the funeral home and re-locate to the Rathke House and 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. The Buyer needs a clause such as: “Evil spirits to be removed 2 weeks prior to closing.”
Isn't it amazing how that guy jumps on every ACORN story, ready to discredit people and to get us to look elsewhere? Why he is so vigilant you would think he was paid to do it.

I believe in miracles, but coincidences in multiple batches? Not so much. This sale price seems to be about the same range that ACORN admits Dale stole. Maybe they're due to pay back the fairy godfather that covered the debt originally. I don't believe that anybody covered that for free and forever. Matybe only as long as it was a secret. There's a money hole somewhere. And it's realy a stretch to believe that the property fetched essentially the asking price in under six months. Especially when the July market date is just about when the property was outed as headquarters for the laundry, CCI / SEIU / ACORN. I think this will go to SEIU, or Soros who probably put up that money for Dale in the first place. Oh please, somebody follow the money.
