I Condemn the NAACP: It Has Been Taken Over by the Hard Left
by Kevin L. Martin
I condemn the NAACP. They have allowed a small group of hard-left extremists to use the group’s past prestige to smear the diverse assemblage of Americans who comprise the tea party movement. They call the tea parties and allied organizations racists because they have become a powerful force of peaceful political dissent against our ever-overreaching government.
These extremists are using the NAACP’s historical name as a foil to obtain and retain power while indignities directed against fellow blacks disagreeing with their policies and tactics seem to be encouraged. They provide cover for their fellow progressives at the peril of fostering racism, division and class warfare.
To label peaceful political dissent as racists is akin to the behavior of the segregationists who once labeled the peaceful dissent lead by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as troublemaking. The founders of the NAACP must be rolling in their graves at the thought that dissent against an unfair system is now considered a reason for NAACP condemnation.
This resolution will do nothing more than reinforce the truth that the NAACP is the playground for partisan progressives with an extremist agenda.

Thank you Kevin…
No, don't condemn the NAACP. Instead offer pity and psychotic help for their mental disorder[s].
These principles are what the NAACP fools are calling racist:
Basic Tea Party 101 for candidates and elected officials:
* Be open and honest;
* Speak truthfully;
* Listen to and work for the people;
* Adhere to the Constitution and your oath of office;
* Secure our borders;
* Support smaller government;
* Lower taxes.
The very roots of what American government are suppose to be about!
I can't help wondering how much money the NAACP has been promised by the democrats. It's the only plausible explanation for the NAACP taking such risks with what remains of the group's credibility. After these latest attacks on the character of the Tea Party I also find myself wondering how long before ACORN is tied to all this. The lengths to which the Democrats will go to funnel money to such race centered organizations is astounding.
Thank you Kevin – Honestly – Thank you for writing this article
Great comparison of the Martin Luther King being labeled "Trouble making" by segregationists. Remember as my Grandmother once told me: Who ever is pointing the finger at somebody… they have three fingers pointing back at them.
Well we certainly have our eyes wide open here. I hope the rest of the American Taxpayers and Voters are awakening as well. I do appreciate the black conservatives who are speaking out here today. Knowing in my heart there are many more whose hearts tell them the NAACP does not represent their interests and must not attempt to speak for them. It is up to us to counteract these baseless slanderings by our words and actions every day of our lives as we work to heal the divisive words of those who are attempting to destroy our nation, people and way of life.
Kevin – THANK YOU for condemning the NAACP!! Thank you so very much! We need good HUMAN BEINGS to help stop all this madness, and bring other misled HUMAN BEINGS to the side of TRUTH. THANK YOU!!!
I continue to wonder if ANY of these people have actually been to a tea party. I bet…NO. Because if they had, they would know that there are NO racist chants, NO racist songs (only patriotic songs like the National Anthem), and plenty of "people of color" represented. Of the 4 tea parties I attended, I saw ONE sign that may have been considered racist, that was held up by AN INFILTRATOR — someone of the Left, posing as a tea partier, to make the entire tea party seem racist.

Is there a class action law suit yet for 'DEFAMATION of CHARACTER' against the NAACP? I will sign on… I will, at the very least, want to sign your RESOLUTION, if it is available online?
ps: I commend you for your honesty and I know you will be attacked by other blacks. Uncle Tom is so not who you are. You are a true AMERICAN. (no-hyphen needed) Thanks you sir.
Hope and Change!
Everyone hoped that Obama was going to be a post-racial President that would further unite America and lead us to brighter future. Instead he has become the most racist President that America has ever seen. Obama, Holder, Lee , Lewis have all shown their true colours and rather than moving forward to solve what ills America, have chosen to settle the old racial scores from centuries past….Very sad.
I have an opinion on the NAACP and other race specific organizations that I discussed with a lawyer friend of mine. This person was telling me how they where a part of the The Wolverine Bar Association in Michigan that was started in the 1930's because black lawyers where being excluded by local bar associations. I said I could understand why WBA was needed but once the state bar association started admitting all races of lawyers wouldn't it have been great if the leaders in the WBA had turned around and said they were going to dissolve the WBA because "mission accomplished" there was no more segregation and no more need for WBA? Wouldn't that be a better message to everyone of every race? That any type of organization or association for any single race perpetuates the division of race. I can't help but think that anyone of any race with the desire to make race a non-issue in the everyday lives of all Americans would start with including everyone at every table. Anything that promotes one group being singled out for anything different from everyone else just because of their race is creating or perpetuating continued race division as soon as someone of a different race disagrees.
This is a surprise?
Taken over? Hijacked? That's similar to the line about Islam, that the "religion of peace" has been "hijacked" by a few radicals. The majority didn't just wake up one morning to discover their ranks had been infiltrated by a few, far-leftist elements.
Let's compare the NAACP with the muslims for a moment. While only a few Muslim extremists are responsible for the majority of the violence, the so called "moderate" muslims among them are either A) silently complicit with it or B) in fear, silenced by the actions of their fanatical counterparts. More below…
Continued…
While there are a few in the NAACP who dissent from the majority, those who speak out are automatically discounted, denigrated, and disowned for their actions. They're considered "house blacks" who've left the plantation and as such, are seen as traitors and useless. Every black who fails to cry out, as Mr. Martin has, against the racism of their culture, is also either silently compliant with it or, fearful of being ostracized from their community, keep quiet in order to get along.
These crabs will never stop pulling back those who would crawl out of the jar of racism. They want all of them to hate equally.
Well said Kevin!
Much thanks to you and Project 21 for calling out the race baiters. They have no shame. They do not speak for me.
I am a proud supporter of the Tea Party movement.
I said it before and I'll say it again:
POLICY DISAGREEMENT AND PRIDE IN AMERICA DOES NOT EQUAL RACISM!!
Message to the NAACP, and The New Black Panthers: Don't let anyone use you to elect them by talking about the color of your skin. It's about what you accomplish in life, and having a safe and free country.
Let's just hope that the attempts by Obama and his political strategists haven't spurred too much racial discord. Kevin and many people like Kevin have kept my faith in humans. Black, white, Christian, Jew, Islamic, etc……doesn't matter….FREEDOM IS ALL THAT MATTERS.
I agree with you completely. I image that there might be a racist here or there among the Tea Partiers, like there may be some at a PTA meeting or a even church supper. That doesn't mean that racist ideas in any way represent the group or will be tolerated if expressed. I have NEVER seen racism at any Tea Party event. Sadly, among the NAACP, racism seems to have become a guiding principle.
BTW, someone should inform the NAACP that "The Joker" is not from an old white-face vaudeville routine, it has nothing to do with race, and if it's grossly insulting, maybe the left shouldn't have used Joker images of President Bush.
How easy it is to fabricate the Tea Party as "racist". All it takes is a few libs posing with posters with racist images and words on them…Voila! See world, the Tea Party is RACIST! (A few months ago they promised to try to infiltrate the movement). Funny how the MSM continues to carry their message despite the fact not a single speaker who speaks for the movement has uttered a word to suggest racism. It is all in an attempt to get the Tea Party on the defensive and off their message. The Democratic/Marxist machine is failing and they are grasping at anything now….Keep it up my American Cousins you are winning!!!!!!!!!!!
Mr. Kevin L. Martin, thank you for your honesty. I must say that as a "white" person who is now considered disabled due to an attack by a gang of "black" men who hated all whites you have provided me with a sense of security I did not have a few days ago. The stories about the black panthers, the failures of our president, justice department, the repeated demands for "reparation" by black panther members have been quite tough to swallow….I have never considered "black" people as a whole, responsible for what happened to me. Criminals do bad things to honest, hard working people. But, I must admit all the racist talk, threats, and cries for killing babies has been extremely disturbing to me. A buried anger was resurfacing and growing into something very ugly….. Thank you sir for reminding me of why I was able to survive. Racists like criminals come available in many sizes and colors with two common denominators, STUPIDITY AND HATE. Not all black or whites are evil.
When my views were first called racist I was alarmed.
Later when I was called racist, I was amused.
Now when I am called a racist, I get angry.
And who was the guest speaker at this hood spectacle?
Michelle Obama.
She chose not to denouce this organization's policies which are clearly racist. She chose to ignore their history of racist remarks to whites and Jews.
Why? Because these are the goons that are going to help the White House implement its' agenda.
I can't wait to see Axelrod's face when the Panther''s come into his office and tell him he is the last Whit*y standing.
Thank you Kevin for coming on here and taking the time let us know that you are a fellow American. I taught my children to never distinguish by skin color only by character and with the NAACP acting as it is, it's tough to understand why I made such an effort. I know why, because not all Black people subscribe to the NAACP and NBP the same as not all White people subscribe to the KKK.
I apologize this is kind of a 'canned' response I am leaving for all but it's late at night but I felt it important to acknowledge the Black Posters coming out and letting us know they support America. They too are subject to the same ridicule the a Tea Partier is. I am a die hard T Partier, I rarely miss an event.
That was great Kevin. I can only hope others see what you see. The NAACP has become a political arm and is being used by this White House in a very evil way. They have lost what standings they had left.
Michelle tells them to INTENSIFY, and the next day they're all screaming RACISM. Coincidence? I think not.
Barack Hussein Obama, mmm mm mmmm!
Thanks Kevin. I don't want to use the 'S-word', but how does the white liberal establishment get these African-Americans to be sock puppets for the likes of Nancy Pelosi.
Have they no pride at all?
I believe:
•Equal opportunity does not necessarily mean equal outcome
•Expanding federal government is antithesis to liberty
•In federal government operating within Constitutional constraint
•In the rejection of socialism
•In Freedom
The current administration rejects all the above
Therefore I reject the current administration
I am a concerned AMERICAN
Only bigoted fools and an agendized media could
Confuse this with hatred, homophobia, or racism!
Thank you, Mr. Martin, for condemning this action by the NAACP.
I was always taught by my parents to never hate, and to treat all human beings equally, regardless of race, gender, religion, ethnicity, etc. As a result, my friends have always been what my parents called "The U.N.": Jewish, Canadian/Puerto Rican, Chinese, Korean, black, Indian, white (Italian, Polish, Irish, Heinz 57, etc.). Even my daughters' friends are not all white: black/white mix, Indian, Mexican-American, Asian and white. Not only that, but kids with parents of a differing political party (yup, some of my neighbor friends vote – egad! – Democrat!).
Whenver I hear those words by MLK, Jr., see what he went through to bring civil rights to blacks in this country, it makes me cry. It makes me cry because he did so much and after he died, they spit on his grave and turned to violence and victimhood. They gave into the Left, let the Left use them, and now they are reaping what they have sown – a community frought with all kinds of problems, including unwed mothers, gangs and drugs. Not all, of course, but I live in the L.A. area so I am not blind.
When I hear that disgusting man from the NBPP speak, it sickens me. Absolutely sickens me, as much as watching someone from the Klan speak, or even listening to Muslims speak about the West and other non-Muslims. It's nothing but HATE and it disgusts me to my very core.
We must stand together against this hate, as MLK, Jr. did – peacefully, in unity. And then we will prevail. Love will conquer all.
Kevin…..Amazing article! …This is a much needed discussion… For too many years, the liberal/progressives have used race against anyone who is in disagreement with their ideology or need to keep minorities "in check."
You and others in the black/conservative movement have been kept in the shadows too long. Your voices are now heard across this great nation….
Keep up the great work!
