We’ve Been Sacked by the Humane Society
by Joe 'The Plumber' WurzelbacherWhile Americans across the country have entered the political game to save our country, moving that proverbial ball of freedom towards the end zone, we’ve been sacked. Blindsided. We’ve been so focused on legislative elections (and rightly so) that most Americans don’t even know they’ve been hit – and hit hard.

But not by some big, burly monster like voter fraud or corruption. No, we’ve been knocked flat by the ignorance of the conservative electorate and cute little puppies licking our stunned, what-the-heck-just-happened faces.
Well, I’ll tell you what just happened.
It’s called the Humane Society of the United States cowardly hiding behind animal cruelty, lying to our citizens and taking our constitutional rights away – one state at a time.
This radical animal rights organization (HSUS), who spends less than 0.5% of its $100M + budget on actually helping animals, is using the referendum process to slowly, systematically eliminate food production in the United States.
In California, HSUS has decimated the egg industry forcing chicken farmers out of business and consumers to buy imported eggs. In Florida, for all intents and purposes, HSUS eliminated the pork industry. (Wondering why pork prices are going sky high?) They’ve also crippled numerous other agribusinesses – dragging connected industries down with them.
This November, HSUS is after the dog breeding industry in Missouri calling the bill the “Puppy Cruelty Prevention Act”. Great name. I mean who wouldn’t want to keep someone from being cruel to a puppy? The problem is Missouri already HAS laws protecting animals – all animals. So what’s the real agenda?
Simply to get rid of ALL dog breeding in Missouri – the unlicensed AND licensed breeders. Missouri’s Proposition B makes it a “crime of cruelty” for a piece of dog food to be in a water bowl or for a dog breeder to treat their own pet if they become ill (even with something as simple as a cold). To add insult to injury, HSUS has exempted themselves and shelters from these same laws. Apparently, they’re allowed to be cruel, but no one else is. (No folks, I don’t make this stuff up.)
This would almost be comical if it weren’t for the OTHER, more insidious parts of this bill that hit at the very core of our liberties. This bill forces breeders to limit the number of dogs they can own – regardless of care. Think about this a minute . . . . Should the government have the right to limit the number of houses a realtor can sell? Or the number of cattle a rancher can raise?
These new regulations will put almost every breeder in Missouri out of business forcing the price of dogs to sky rocket and allowing pet ownership only for the very wealthy. But this bill is just a stepping stone. HSUS eventually wants to extend this law to ALL animals. Their idea of utopia is a United States with NO animal ownership; NO meat to eat; NO pets; NO hunting; NO fishing; NO service animals. If chicken farmers would be forced to own no more than 50 chickens they could no longer afford to stay in business. The same will hold true with hog farmers and cattle ranchers. Eventually, agri-business will be forced to go over seas, just as our manufacturing and tech industries.
But even the extinction of our food industry isn’t the scariest part of this whacko liberal agenda. A law is only as good as it’s enforced. And HSUS is happy to fill the void. HSUS has now become the self-appointed law enforcement of the animal world. In some states, HSUS employees are running around with guns and police-like badges breaking down doors, confiscating animals and business papers, and obtaining warrants with false information. Lawsuits are cropping up against HSUS, sheriffs and governments for blatant violations of the most basic of constitutional rights.
Enough is enough. We have to draw the line and hold these radical animal rights activists back. The battle this year is in Missouri. If we do not all enlist and soundly defeat this deceptive bill, you can expect your state to be next.

Jeeez…Just what I need…Another crisis….
Do these libs ever stop?
No..Like the vampires they are, the don't ever seem to get the message to go away and die….
We need to stock up on stakes…
Thanks for the info Joe, but I guess I don't understand if this is a government agency or a private organization. Is this like PETA on steroids?
OK, I think I found their website here: http://www.humanesociety.org/issues/
HSUS has become a leftist activist group along the lines of Greenpeace or the Sierra club, taking in massive amounts in donations supposedly for one purpose, and then redirecting the lion's share of those donations into political activism.
Think of them as Pet Nazis.
Stock up on stakes or steaks?
We are already importing contaminated food products from overseas thanks to George Bush. Under his regime we went from a net food exporter to a net food importer.
Some examples the HSUS engaging in highly questionable activity:

Joe the Plumber is a National Hero. Whatever he says I believe. This man is the pragmatist that asked a logical question of Obama, and exposed a marxist! Thank you Joe! I hope you get rich to spite obama's socialist take-over of America!
Think of them as
PetNazis.BTW, you need to learn what the Codex Alimentarius is if you want to have any effect on this. The recent food "safety" laws proposed by representatives with connection to MONSANTO that prevent you GARDENING.
Redirect. Don't blame HSUS – blame Bush. Where have I seen this before?
Some Blond twit was on Cavuto yesterday talking about how the production of meat ( all meat ) was inefficent and that we as a society needed to become vegetarian. I became so angree i opened a can of Vienna franks and devoured the entire " tiny " can. Now i read THIS, i'm going out and buying a side of BEEF.
I give to my church, I give to single causes or groups. Things like this illustrate why you should never give to umbrella organizations such as the United Way or the national humane society.
Why are people conforming to these unconstitutional laws? It is way past time for some civil disobedience. If people would stick together and ignore these laws then it would force the legislators to deal with it. And what is with the HSUS as law enforcement? They are not even a govt agency. They legally could be shot for trespassing if they came onto private property to "steal" someone's animals. This crap has got to stop and I think the only way it will is if people respond with the same force as the perpetrators.
Clinton. The name was CLINTON.
Joe is right. Our freedoms and rights are being infringed upon daily by the obama Administration and the strength it has given to hidden communists everywhere! They are out in force now, especially in our White House. They are in all the Federal Agencies, in Congress, and in the Unions. It might have taken us many more years if the famous "Joe the Plumber" didn't expose Obama early on! We will evict ALL socialists, marxists, communists and fascists from the American landscape; and don't come back!
Amen Brother… BTW…. 20 year USAF Master Blaster here
No more donations to this group.
I will donate directly to local non-kill shelters instead.
I tried to buy a supply of winter wheat a few weeks ago.
Is anyone aware that apparently, in order to buy over 50 pounds of winter wheat, a government permit is required…..???
Ammo.

Dear President Obama,
"We can absorb a terrorist attack. We'll do everything we can to prevent it, but even a 9/11, even the biggest attack ever . . . we absorbed it and we are stronger."
- President Barrak Hussein Obama (July 2010)
One of the reasons we have a President is to leads us in a time of war. Now, in this day and age, full of easy and invasive diversions we can shield ourselves from the reality of war. We have attained such an advantage on the battlefield that we have fooled ourselves that we can accept a covert war at the expense of the overt war. Now, it would be preferable if we could always determine that one particular fellow was attempting to place a nuclear weapon in a container in New Jersey, find them and kill them, and stop the bomb from getting anywhere in the first place. It’s obvious that we use various methods to find and kill people who have this objective. But, just like the Nazi Bombers, until we changed our attitude to fight the war overtly, and smashed the luftwaffe, we could not win the war.
Let’s look at this from my perspective as a family man, and a homeowner. I know that there is an infinitesimally small chance that while my home is occupied a criminal is going to attempt entry. They are wisely deciding that I may be armed. In my case, they are correct, 16” group at 50’ with a .45, my home is extremely secure, I always say “call first I already had target practice and volunteers need not apply.” Actually, most homes are secure because the potential intruder does not want the trouble of dealing with some hot lead, they know the odds, and they don’t want to take the risk. Admittedly this doesn’t rule out a Cheshire, Connecticut scenario, deterring the violent lunatic is not possible, they need to be put down either by Capital Punishment, the police, or the armed citizen as soon as the meeting can be arranged. No one in their right mind would defend the acts of men who tied up children, raped them, and then burned them to death, and did the same to their mother, after thinking they just killed their father, who survived. In short, there is no political constituency that is willing to stand up for the armed robber, the murderer, or the terrorist, Islamic or otherwise.
Or is there? Your quote listed above is naive in the extreme. It implies that we ought accept the murderer, rapist, or terrorist because the defense of an attack is worse then the attack itself. In addition, when ever these events occur the liberal leftist media does not direct it’s ire on the enemy or the criminals, but on the American people. Why is that? Why would the Democratic party decide to stand with criminals and terrorists? Who is allying with who here? All the liberal left appears to be is the political wing of the criminals, and the terrorists constantly softening the ground for overt rape and violence.
On September 12, 2001 we should have gone to all out war with those countries that assert radical Islam as a common course of life without regard to borders, our goal ought to have been to crush their will, so the next Arab born in that part of the world would not even entertain the remote concept of “Jihad,” (much the same way that the vast majority of burglars work very hard to avoid entering an occupied home, and Germans today reject Hitlerism with a passion), and redraw those borders to better suite what is left, if anything. We chose to side with one side of the Arab coin to avoid that very difficult choice. The decision has led us to a nightmare because experience hath shewn that from Major Nadal Hassan at Fort Hood, Faisal Shazad(a son of a Pakastani military officer), to the attempted bombing of Times Square, and Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab attempted bombing of his genitalia, and the fuel tank below. (Maybe he did not get enough stimulus money for genitalia washing?)
Thus, I know whose side the liberal democratic left is on. It isn’t mine or my fellow American’s it is theirs; as your quote indicates you are willing to accept the murder of thousands of innocent lives to avoid overt war. In addition your overt attempt to continue this not so covert farce from Yemen to Waziristan, is asinine, and will only lead to a greater animosity in that part of the world, let alone the remote possibility of honest friendship. Regardless, I know that the toughest days are ahead in this war, and in our economy, and every week we delay in going in the right direction, the harder it will be to correct the problems we face. My Grandfather did not climb into a B-24 bomber for 35 missions, barely survive, only to have this nation commit suicide. Screw that noise, I’m not down for it; and neither is the United States of America.
Respectfully,
Joe Doakes
Its just like everything else these statist nazi's do. They hide their agenda behind the cause of the day. They no more care about the animals in this world than Gore cares about the climate. What they want is "power" and nothing else.
Do you still need some pie?
Local humane societies are not a part of the HSUS, although they do recieve pittances from it. If you donate to local humane societies or shelters, you can normally be confident that your donation is actually going to the care and placement of shelter animals, instead of the HSUS.
Remember this when the Republicans get into office and need to find a place to CUT SPENDING. We need to defund all these unelected, supported-by-taxpayer groups that work against us.
Planned Parenthood comes to mind.
You've got to be kidding me. My families lives are dependent on you to feed them, and they are dependent on me to do something to earn the money to buy your food, and your telling me the government is keeping this from happening in an efficient manner?
This is another example of the pussification of America!
People are going soft. They forget where our food comes from and where our jobs are. In an economic depression like we're in now, we need all the jobs we can get.
" BTW, you need to learn what the Codex Alimentarius is if you want to have any effect on this. "
BTW you need to have your brain white washed before any kind of intelligence can go into effect.
Humbug! Who needs food?
Grow up… or go back to the Huffington Post where you belong
They really want to change our lives….check out HumaneWatch.org for more info. Right now there is an investigation of the lobbying activities of HSUS by the IRS because most of their non-profit status. A very dangerous group,
PETA in a better suit, they want to make the process of keeping animals whether as pets or as farm animals more expensive through regulations and legislation that "nudges" people out of animal use.
I took it as "stakes" to kill vampires..The wooden type… good one Mr Drifter…
Hoorah.
Army EOD here.
You guys took over the Army Mission in CONUS…… bastards!
Back in the day we used to run all off-post calls, now the Air Force took that, but, word is your doing one hell of a job.
You guys also took the School from Indian Head NOS.
From a young age I was taught to treat an animal with respect and caring, unless I was hungry, and it wasn't the family pet. Animals do not have souls. People do. But if the left has convinced some that abortion is the answer it does not surprise me that in their "earth religion" they would need something else to worship.
this is why the tea party is going to have to clean house this fall. we need to stop this overbearing government, and stop this insanity. most of these animal rights people think animals have the same rights as people. we are on the top of the food chain for a reason. they see a cow, and think how pretty, i see a cow and think, double cheese burger/hold the mayo. yes, there are people who mistreat animals, who get jobs as starting qb's for philly, and there are people who just want a home grown meal.
If we weren't supposed to eat animals, they wouldn't be made OUT OF FOOD!!!!
I see a bumper sticker in the making:
This really pisses me off. I donated a $10,000 car to them last year. Only got to write off $1500 for the donation. Another unbelievable scam.
triper57 is another old school Tech.
http://intensedebate.com/people/triper57
You'll see him around here.
This type of regulation smells too left wing liberal to be a George Bush decision. Nope this is a 60's "hippy" environmentalist decision because they always seems to put their noses in where its not needed or wanted. They think they know best for everyone. The colleges should NEVER give a narcissist a diploma.
America and it's economy stand on a three legged economic stool. Cheap energy, cheap food and affordable housing. America's economy have produced all three, and we now have some time left in the work day to produce expendable income. Looks like we have lost all three … so we can spend all day looking for food, like stupid Kenyans do.
I remember there was a bill being put forth that would keep people from having a home garden.
Are they somehow taxpayer supported?
Codex Alimentarius was created in 1993 during Clinton's time (NOT Bush's) and yes Monsanto has been involved for many many years in genetic food manipulation. They genetically altered the seeds they sent to Indonesia and the farmers lost all their crops and their lands in a micro-financing scheme, which by the way Obama's mother was involved in along with Geithner's father.
AND yes, now they are penalizing people with large gardens. Georgia is a prime example.
Which laws did he draft and pass again, that like, you want to blame on him? -Confused
I had always thought HS was the sensible alternative for animal lovers who didn't want to be associated with the depravity of PETA. I see I was wrong. Isn't there some group of people out there who want to help the puppies and kittens find loving homes without telling people what to eat and how to live their lives?
I was stunned when the man at the feed store told me there was a limit on how much I could buy without a permit.
Whete, for God's sake – a staple crop, feed for animals, flour for bread, part of what people need for basic sustenance.
When did the government get the right to tell me how much of what crop I can grow, what I can do with it once it's grown….. and what b@stard gave them that right ????
Thanks, Smedley.
So very helpful. BLAME BUSH AND ET VOILA…..NO MORE PROBLEM.
oh, wait….
Let the acronyms fly! ROFLMAO!
That I know. "Wickard v. Filburn." from that point forward the Government gained control of food production in the United States and with each passing year they are creating more and more nutso laws to justify their existence.
"He who controls the food controls the people". I've been reminded of this more often these days. What do they have left to control us with?
Of course they are…
"But it's for the puppies!" (insert Progressive weeping and gnashing of teeth here)
They are also apparently exempted from taxation…..
Hey America!!! Have you had enough of the growth of government yet? All those years of complacency are sure starting to pay off aren't they….
You know what you gotta do so get to it…………
In the meantime, I'll get started on that garden and probably kill a couple chickens for my gumbo.
Smedley,
Now THAT'S BETTER. I concur. This Codes and Monsanto's strangle hold on the congress is going to just get uglier for farmers and consumers. Monsanto is a serious contributor to congress and boy do they get bang for their buck.
I was talking here with another regular who really laid out the who codex plan and Monsanto's drive to literally corner the grain market forcing farmers to plow under any field not planted with "approved" seed. He did say though that at least for now farmers have the choice where and what grain to purchase. But that seems to be the goal of this project. Force all farmers to use only approved grain…and it is genetically altered grain.
Someone else on another board told me that's why it's so important for people to find and buy what are called "heritage" seeds and store them properly. It's just insanity to think gov't could ever enforce a law forbidding ordinary citizens from planting a garden…especially give the fact we can put these plants in individual beds and pots. Just unenforceable.
That said, the gov't can control the seeds you guy. They can and will if we let them. But to hedge our bet, I'd recommend folks find those seeds NOW and then go to any official AG site or even the Mormon Food Storage site to find out how to keep them so they will remain fertile.
Also perennial plant seeds are important to find since they will produce next year's crop each year. Learning to properly store, plant, and grow food plants is a science worth investigating. If for no other reason than that it's incredibly economical to grow as much food as possible. Just makes sense and can be very relaxing.
I recommend the Square Foot Gardening Book and there is a website called Maggiesgarden.com and man if it grows, she knows or can find out fast everything you need to learn about growing it.
o really? statistics please… not just words i want facts.. thats what goes around here.. facts
good job blaming Bush too… Joe the plumber is probly a racist too right?
I'd comment, but I'm pouring my puppy protein shake out of the blender.
Message to the governement: "GET THE HELL OUT OF OUR DAILY LIVES AND DO IT NOW"!!
Whaaat..no jewish connection schmeckley ?? Or will that occur in the next post…Hmmm…Is monsanto a jewish name?
Oh, smedley (to be read with the most condescending tone possible).
Hey Fl has to be better that Indianhead.
Remember, there's room for all of God's creatures……..right next to the mashed potatoes and gravy.
"One man's faith allows him to eat everything, but another man, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables."
Romans 14:2 (NIV)
Yeah, I didn't know Clinton is spelled B-U-S-H. They'll never learn. +Hanzo+
I always wondered wtf an 'animal cop' is anyway. ;-0 +Hanzo+
I once took in a stray cat. This little guy lived in a dumpster, I even added heat to my garage for it! The reason I saved it? It picked me. I'm not kidding, everyday it would observe me. Hang out on my fence. Just watch. Then I gave him the milk and tuna, then we became best friends. Had to put him down because of a prior injury, apparently he was hit by a car, at a young age. That cat did not have a soul, it had an instinct to survive and used her skills to further it. She and I are better for it. She lived in comfort for her final years and I had the coolest cat on the block, and I loved it. Wish I could post pictures on this thing.
The blonde twit was from PETA, so her comments were about what I expected. I really wish FOX News would stop giving PETA credibility by having someone from PETA appear on FOX shows.
Read Beck's "Overton Window" and you'll start to see the big picture.
The Air Force gets points for taking the School away from Indian Head.
So, it's a wash for taking the Army Mission in CONUS.
Wow, Joe, thank you so much for this great piece. You're absolutely right; we're so focused on the big issues of taking back our government that we're not paying as much attention to the day by day whittling away of our basic rights and liberties. Just one more reason to donate to local orgs and ignore the umbrellas. If I want to help the animal population, I'll donate to my local shelter. the Humane Society can suck it.
When wild animals become advanced enough to stop viciously killing and eating each other, the ocean's fish live on only seaweed, and mosquitoes no longer have the taste for human or animal blood, on that day I will become a vegan and invite some woodland critters over for a barbecue. veggies only of course.
BREAKING NEWS: Joe 'The Blunderer' Wurzelbacher takes
a page out of his twin brother's Joe 'The Koran Burner' Fenton's
Koran and threatens to barbeque puppies if this law is not defeated.
Meathead Wurzelbacher, in conjunction with 'Obese Republicans
For the Constitution' will hold a rally on November 3 on the
Washington Mall titled, "Taking Our Meat Back".
I was gone by the time the Army gave up Conus. Could not believe they gave it up. I enjoyed the break from the the normal missions. By the way what are you doing now?
What a perfect avatar for a total jackass – like you.
Ok… the fact that Smed the communist is replying on this one is all I need to know that HSUS is an instrument to be used by progressives and communists.
NO MORE FUNDING OR DONATIONS FOR THE HSUS.
The organization has stated it shares the same goals as PETA just not the radical pose. NOTE: Your local Humane Society will claim to be unaffiliated but they're lying.
Here in Omaha all pet licensing is handled by the Nebraska Humane Society. They also respond to calls. They'll show up on your door in a police style uniform complete with a badge. I call the cops on them. I've even threatened to press charges for them impersonating a Game and Parks official. (Shot a rabbit in my back yard with a BB gun. I have a hunting license and it's not discharging a firearm.)
These people really are Nazi like in their tactics. One of their goals is to eliminating hunting and fishing in all forms.
Hell, the Army has been closing up shop all over the U.S.
You remember when the Army had Detachments even at the smallest Bases around the Nation, they packed up and moved.
When we were in the Army had Detachments at Andrews AFB, Wright-Pat, as well as Patrick AFB.
About a year ago the Army had to call the Air Force to ask (read beg) for Team Leaders to run a few calls.
I'm working with the guys coming back from OIF and OEF.
Joe, I love this article, and will be sharing it with family and friends. I would love it even more, if you included links to corroborate your claims. It's not that I don't believe you, but it is so handy to have keywords leading to more information/sources. Thanks for spreading the word about this very important issue.
Exactly Hollylamb. That's what I have been doing. I don't donate to these groups anymore. They use the donations that they collect to advance political agendas that are UnAmerican. I much rather bye the food and give it to those that are needy. I do it locally where I can see that it is being used immediately to help those who are needy. Same with the church. I donate by giving my old furniture, TV or anything else that can go to a needy family. I don't donate money anymore.
I think it was you Sky_Painter promoting Chelene Nightingale a few months ago on this site? Was that you? If it was I have a good write up about her here hollylamb.wordpress.com if it wasn't you, just disregard. Meeting immediate needs I think is what 'non profit' money should go to, but they just pocket it and the people working locally struggle to help people in need. The government lets them do it too, does any one police non-profit groups? Is there any way to check their accounting
Yah, those were the days when EOD wasn't part of the regular Army. were were a Posts bas*ard child. I spent a lot of time in the SE. Did manage to make it to JI before they got rid of the CW. Came right back to the SE. Worked on the Cleanup after the first Gulf War. Worked for a time for Halliburton. And traveled the US cleaning up the bases.
The Puppy Mills will continue to churn out the latest dog flavor of the second, regardless of laws. It's like gun ownership restriction laws, they simply won't work because they people they are after aren't exactly law abiding citizens.
Their logic comes from European folk lore. Remember Robin Hood? Steal from the rich, and give to the poor. Instead of that philosophy, they are like the loan shark who charges you 200% interest instead on a loan. I bet if we really looked into Progressive holdings, I think we would find allot of them are associated with the Payday loan industry. Just a hunch I have.
Their ultimate goal is outlawing the private ownership of ANY livestock, cows, chickens, pigs, pets everything. If the gubment has their way we will all be lining up to recieve our allotment of cheese and spam every month. They are ticketing people for growing too many vegetables. WTF is happening to the U.S.?
It's the city dwellers that have no idea where the food they eat comes from that are supporting this BS. Just like all the other socialist BS they are pushing, it comes from those squishy city dwellers on both coasts. SCREW THEM ALL.
I'd like to spit some beachnut in their eye and shoot them with my old .45
I can skin a buck and run a trot line, cause a country boy can survive.
That's good money doing base clean-up.
Another bone to pick with the Air Force, when we pulled out of Panama the Air Force was sent in to clean up our Range.
They burnt it down, along with the ICM Target Box next to our Range.
They are still giving the Army Techs today crap for that.
They asked me if I wanted to go to Johnston Island a few times, said I could pick any return station I wanted after a 6 month stint, which used to be like gold, seeing how there were plenty of really good assignments out there, where Techs like to stay forever, but, I turned them down.
You get 2 weeks off not charged to your leave at Johnston Island? They always tossed that in as a bonus to try and hook me.
Could not have put it any better myself!!!!! Great Comment. ;0)
Thank you Joe for helping to make the corrupt organization known as the HSUS visible. I have been fighting the awful legislation that HSUS introduces and for which it lobbies for years and things just keep getting worse and worse. The way to stop them is to stop donations to the HSUS. They are not associated with, or fund, any of the local shelters that unfortunately use Humane Society in their shelter names. Some shelters have changed their names to make it clear they are not under the HSUS umbrella. When they did so, donations increased to the local shelters.
Damn skippy! My kids know how to as well. I tell my lefty friends that when it hits the fan I may CONSIDER feeding them. See how they feel about hunting when they're starving.
When people start living cold and hungry this will change in a hurry. When that happens the lefties had better find a deep hole to hid in. That kind of bullsh!t will not be tolerated then.
I live in SE Missouri and there's hardly a week goes by where a story in the newspaper on the local t.v. station that someone is arrested for animal cruelty. Many are animal hoarders, some neglected farm animals and breeders. As such, there is a problem with the care of animals in this state. On the other hand there are a lot of animals in this state that receive good to excellent care as would be expected in any other state.
I just read the statute that the author is lambasting and find nothing objectionable about it. The legislation is written to cover basic care that one would think is common sense in caring for animals that are kept for breeding purposes and presumably for making a profit. However, the law is being presented in order to stop stupid, unscrupulous and criminal behavior regarding the breeding of animals for sale as pets that seems to make the news so often.
The author is just as hysterical about this law as the organization that he proclaims wants to remove the constitutional rights "of we the people". He talks about limiting the number of animals that can be held and used for breeding purposes but being a hysterical moron that he is he fails to consider that when one of these breeders fails to provide adequate care it is the government that must deal with the remaining animals. So, what do we as taxpayers want? Me, I'd rather put limits on what breeders can do and keep the costs of caring for abused animals than pay for the aftermath of a large and expensive clean-up of negligent and criminal human behavior.
As conservatives, we must beware of right-wing hysteria raisers like "Joe the Plumber" and reject their wailing and look at the facts and apply reason before jumping to conclusions. Joe, and like way too many so-called conservative pundits are primarily out looking to make money by providing their base with the red meat issues that we/they seem to want regarding liberals but are in fact, only self promotion.
It is not wrong to say what the Founding Fathers said "We are going to have to Kill the Tyrants". Elitists, this means you too.
The AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) is behind this proposed bill in MO. Stay far away from young veterinarians, the schools now have animal rights leanings. Find a good old country vet and keep your mouth shut about what you are doing. One of the reasons some people breed dogs is to work independently and privately. This bill requires vets to approve ALL breedings! Did you know vets are often wrong in their health care recommendations? Did you know desperate owners of pure bred dogs often seek out the advice of breeders because their vets have been unable to effectively treat their dog and in many cases made the condition worse? And what about personal philosophy? Some people so not believe in artificial intervention, those who do often have limits, isn't that their choice? Anyone can worm a dog, give a vaccine (which are over used), bandage a wound. To think only a vet, or as is usually done, $10 an hour veterinary assistant can inject a dog with a vaccine is incorrect, and more than a little nutty!
The only way a lot of people are able to keep pets is by alternative health care including treating their own pets. My God people open your eyes and get some perspective!
Understand this, some of your local shelter workers promote these unconstitutional bills. Some are run by HSUS members.
I recommend foraging – this guy has an extensive series. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x97jebTQisU
Indonesia? Well, I know about India but Indonesia probably isn't much different.
Hadn't heard about Georgia – do tell!
It was a year tour when I went there, and I did not volunteer. And yes you get two weeks R&R, but there was a hook. You want to go anywhere other than HI, you paid your way yourself and travel on MAC was on a standby basis only. I was making $252/mo and civilian travel was still expensive. I came out of JI with an assignment to Dougway. Got that changed real quick.
Did the twit have an explanation for how crops could be grown on hillsides that cattle and sheep can graze on just fine?
On the island of Madeira every cow has a cowshed of its own because there isn't enough flat land to build sheds for entire herds, let alone grow crops.
"Why are people conforming to these unconstitutional laws?"
Precisely. And therein lies the problem.
Until Obama George Bush had the record for growing government *
And before GWB, Clinton had the record.
Party is irrelevant.

Here is a more accurate assessment: "President Bush increased government spending more than any of the six presidents preceding him, including LBJ." I didn't write that; the astute libertarian economist Veronique de Rugy did.

Redlion you just said "I live in SE Missouri and there's hardly a week goes by where a story in the newspaper on the local t.v. station that someone is arrested for animal cruelty." That is an admission that the laws already in place are working.
You spent a year on a small Island the United States Military controlled in the Pacific, with no Women?
You're a better man than I, Triper.
Johnston and the Sinai Desert were both 6 month tours when I was in EOD, and voluntary. If someone came down on PCS Orders and they just did not like where they were going they could always say they would pull 6 months at either Johnston or the Sinai, and some other unlucky SOB would have to pull their time at where they were slotted to go in the first place.
