Obama’s Emboldened: Our Fight Has Just Begun
by Jon VoightThis past weekend I was proud to be part of “we the people” who came down to Washington by the thousands to voice their American rights and freedom to say “no” to what we all knew would change our great America into a socialistic America. With this Obama health care, we will now face extreme hardships in every way and Obama is now more dangerous than ever.
His ego has been fanned and he will stop at nothing to try to pass the cap-and-trade bill and he will force all union members to openly sign their votes. We must never forget this blatant and dangerous arrogance by President Obama and Speaker Pelosi and every Democrat leader that voted for this destruction of our great country.
Let us put memos everywhere to remind ourselves to vote all of these socialistic extremists out of office this coming November and thereafter.
God bless every freedom-loving citizen that took time to be part of this outcry.
May God also protect every like-minded citizen to say strong and prevail for the coming legislative onslaught.

The question is, will we have much of a choice between electoral candidates? There are far too many progressives on both sides of the aisle. It's easy to say vote the suckers out, but who gets voted in and are they any better?

Jon, thank you for all your efforts. Even those of us who could not go to DC rallied in our local towns and had a great outpouring of support. One battle lost, but there's a long war ahead and the patriots among us will outnumber the pro-regressives intent on transforming us into a big government, anti-business, statist commune nation. We won't give up, we won't back down, and we won't be disheartened.
When (and where) exactly was your march? I was looking all Saturday, but all I saw in DC were Cindy Sheehan-led protests against the war in Iraq…

I look forward to you demanding the closure of emergency rooms all over America. We already subsidize health care for those who can't afford it — this legislation is the path to doing it in a far more cost-effective manner. This really is a no-brainer, unless you are for shutting down ER care. And if you are, you've got next to no support for that position from voters.
At the moment, we pay twice as much per capita for health care as any other industrialized country and rank 37th in the world in health care outcomes. That's intolerable and this country can do better. We put a man on the moon – shit, we played goddam golf on the moon – and we can damn well build the best health care system in the world.
Why the pack of moaners and defeatists on this website insist we can't, is beyond me … but I for one am glad to see that our Congress and our President are ready to turn our health care ship around.
In the past, the average citizen did not have to get too involved in politics because they knew the system was working to keep what was best for country was there to protect us. Well now, there are people in the system that don't want it to work for the best of the country. People are now going to have get involved just to stop the system from destroying the country. These Progressives will then try to divide us even further with the goal of destroying our country.
With every local and state election we must work to nominate and elect small government fiscal conservatives. I pledge to do what I can, whenever I can, until November to advance this ball down the field. I can't personally repeal ObamaCare, but I can personally promote Conservatives and common sense values.
I will not stand idly by why Obama and the Left dismantle America, Land of the Free. God Bless America.

…In the healthcare debate Obama showed what a true despot he is when he used water as a means to bribe two representatives of California to change their vote to yes. He promised to turn on some of the water in the region that has been without it due to Government regulations. When political leaders use water (or food) as a means to bribe someone for political gain is truly a despicable act and evil. And act that a third world dictator does to his people. Susan Estrich, who headed the Dukakis presidential campaign was on Fox News, March 20th, 2010 and stated, “…anyone who professes to be shocked that on a close bill the President goes one on one with members of Congress and says about that water in California…” She apparently thinks that withholding water from the citizens for political gain is alright to do. Then again as the first woman to head a presidential campaign I wonder if it was her idea to put Dukakis in the tank? And we all know how the Dukakis’s election turned out…
If the healthcare bill goes through and becomes law, Obama in one fell swoop will have taken over the healthcare industry (on its way to single payer) and student loans. It’s estimated 30000 jobs in the student loan industry will be lost. Next he is pushing for more regulation on the banks giving more authority to Timothy (Tax Cheat) Geithner over the banks; wherein Geithner could determine if certain banks are doing risky business and shut them down. Cap and Trade (crap and tax) will be administered through the EPA, where he will be going after the energy sector. And to increase his voting base will grant amnesty to the illegal immigrants in this country, with the help of Lindsey Graham. What would the Founding Fathers think of our country then?

As for strategy, heh, you haven't been paying attention to real news of late have you? 38 States have legislation already working to nullify this power grab in DC. Oh I know, the "Federal law trumps State Law" comment will come out, but that is only true under the 17 legal powers delegated by the States and the People in Article 1 section 8 of the Constitution. That section is further bolstered and clarified by the 10th Amendment. In addition, the Resolutions of 1798 and the nullification of the so-called Real ID in the last couple of years provide very good precedent to throw out this illegal mandate on the spot.

It will be interesting to see how the legal battle plays out. I don't know that judges will as willing as you to find an Article 1 Section 8 violation in a law passed by a majority of the People's state representatives, but we shall see.
A future Congress could also repeal the legislation, of course.

I expect it will follow the same exact route as REAL-ID. The States will say no and refuse to fund any part of it. It will die, just like REAL -ID did.
In the long haul the People can no longer afford to be quiet and comfortable. The entitlement programs (all of them) will have to end. They will have to end gradually, but they will crash completely otherwise.
Guys! It took him a year and a quarter to pass health-care! If he wants to pass more legislation he better haul ass because he only has eight months left. After the mind-numbing migraine of getting health-care done I highly doubt they're geared up for Cap-n-Tax and Card Check. Does that mean we can slack off. NO! We to push and push and PUSH!!! To jam up the federal government with lawsuit after lawsuit after lawsuit until health-care is repealed.
States need to reinstate they're 10th Amendment rights and tell the Federal Government that we own them, not the other way around. The states themselves are on they're way to pass legislation that the Health-care bill will not apply to their state. Therefore the bill itself will not be sustainable because most states aren't going to pay for it.
When Obama signs this into law the bill will still be as dead as the steak I'm having for dinner. Mostly because the states are not going to take this. And good on them I say.

Share the pain! Personalize the impact of Obamacare to those who think they will reap the medical benefits at no economic cost to them!
Instead of leaving a tip, leave a note with the receipt, along the lines of "my tax increase that pays for your Obamacare is your tip". When you cancel a magazine or newspaper, let them know the obamacare tax increase is forcing you to do so. When you return an item to a store, tell the sales person person know you have to cut back on expenses to afford to the Obamacare tax.

I am so PO'ed I'm planning on shutting the company down in April to take a very well deserved and overly expensive vaction in April until I don't know when. I made this money and BY GOD, I am going to spend a huge chunk of it myself and not give it to the IRS to hand out to people who are unwilling or mentally unwilling to work. I know there are people struggling for money but I did my part for near 40 years, I will let younger people pick up the ball until I can keep my "Fair" Share. This morning I was awoken by my alarm clock powered by electricity generated by the public power monopoly regulated by the US Department of Energy. I then took a shower in the clean water provided by the municipal water utility. After that, I turned on the TV to one of the FCC regulated channels to see what the National Weather Service of the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration determined the weather was going to be like using satellites designed, built, and launched by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. I watched this while eating my breakfast of US Department of Agriculture inspected food and taking the drugs which have been determined as safe by the US Food and Drug Administration.
At the appropriate time as regulated by the US Congress and kept accurate by the National Institute of Standards and Technology and the US Naval Observatory, I get into my National Highway Traffic Safety Administration approved automobile and set out to work on the roads built by the local, state, and federal Departments of Transportation, possibly stopping to purchase additional fuel of a quality level determined by the Environmental Protection Agency, using legal tender issued by the Federal Reserve Bank. On the way out the door I deposit any mail I have to be sent out via the US Postal Service, and then drop the kids off at the public school. Then I return the books I borrowed from the free Public Library.
After spending another day not being maimed or killed at work thanks to the workplace regulations imposed by the Department of Labor and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, enjoying another two meals which again do not kill me because of the USDA, I drive my NHTSA car back home on the DOT roads, to my house which has not burned down in my absence because of the state and local building codes and fire marshal’s inspection, and which has not been plundered of all it’s valuables thanks to the local police department.
I log on to the internet which was developed by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Administration and surf the web. I then stumble upon this website of ignorant people who think that SOCIALISM is bad!
