Remembering the Day America Was Ignored
by Jamie RadtkeOne year ago today President Barack Obama signed into law government controlled health care. It was a punch in the gut to a majority of Americans who had passionately pleaded that this legislation be thrown in the dumpster. How many times did millions of people travel to Washington D.C., call and email our congressman, or attend Town Hall meetings and demand they, “kill the bill?”
We were readily dismissed and slandered by the Democrats in Congress; accused of being astro-turf and even racists. This diversionary tactic was cleverly employed to conceal the fact that Congress was, through calculation and deceit, forcefully imposing their ultra-liberal agenda on the American people.
Let’s make no mistake about it. This is socialized medicine that will cost us trillions of dollars that we DO NOT HAVE, but don’t worry…we will print the money to cover the bill. Even better, Congress and the President have decided your liberty means very little to them if it means more control for Washington, so the IRS will now force you to enter into an insurance contract against your will.
When was the last time we had 28 states suing the federal government? When was the last time you had a million people take to the streets in opposition to the actions of Congress? When was the last time we saw such a sweeping sea-change in a congressional election cycle? We are beyond angry. We want the insanity to stop in Washington D.C.
So what are the next steps as we mourn this one year anniversary? The House passed a bill to repeal Obamacare, but little else has been done. It is now time to play hardball. No more continuing resolutions, no more contemplation of raising the debt ceiling, no more token $6 billion cuts. Let’s repeal this direct offense to our liberty and make President Obama veto it. Next, let’s defund and gut this legislation. I don’t want lame excuses for no action and I could care less about all the gamesmanship.
The tea party grassroots has had a tremendous impact on our political landscape. We made huge strides this past November. But our work is not done yet. If we are serious about abolishing Obamacare, then we must elect constitutional candidates to the U.S. Senate that have the grit and the fire to go to the wall. I can promise you all one thing: I have stood in the cold, attended rallies, emailed, called, blogged, spent thousands of dollars of my own money, and dragged my kids all over Virginia in an effort to destroy this cancer on our freedom…and if elected as the next U.S. Senator from Virginia, I will do everything in my power to repeal, defund and kill government controlled health care. But it will only happen if the tea party stays involved and influences elections all over the country. Will you join me?

"Remembering the day America was ignored". Sounds good, nice plan. Thank you.
However, we have been ignored for 50 years.
I see it as "Remembering the day America finally woke up".
Yes! We need you to help us restore our country.
Nov 2012 is coming soon. I wonder if I can dump my current stock and invest in torches and pitchforks…
The Obama Admin. with Pelosi, Reid and Holder will go down in history as "almost" pulling off a Marxist
Coup d'etat, but The Tea Party type LOYAL Americans, a pesky little mid-term election, and our great laws
stopped them!
Let's finish the job. They've been torturing U.S. and stealing our country away from U.S. for almost 3 years now.
We know OUR enemy, and we will drive them all out, and their supporters with them. Anyone left
will be marked and marginalized.
If we do not get these Republicans to close this hatch we are done for. That includes our children.
To the Editor:
Submarines have always fascinated me. Their role in the last century cannot be overstated. From the simple man powered submarines of the civil war to the USS Nautilus’s journey under the North Pole to the modern submarines that form a critical part of the US nuclear deterrent. As over engineered as these ships are, when a torpedo hits, decisions have to be made to save the ship. Sometimes those decisions have to be made under extreme stress, and the result of the orders leads to the death of fellow crew mates. As one space fills with water, pulling the ship inexorably to the bottom, a sailor in the dry space must close the hatch to save the ship.
The United States is analogous to a submarine wounded by enemy action. Instead of an enemy firing a torpedo, we, via all of our poor political leadership have fired one upon ourselves. The political classes collective record, how ever well intentioned, has lead us here, through massive spending, borrowing, and making promises to citizens that cannot be met. Character at a point of pressure is the most important asset a leader, officer, or soldier possesses. Why? Because sometimes it is necessary to close the hatch to save the ship. The question to my mind is which party possesses the capacity to do that now.
While the collusion of both parties are to blame for our sinking ship. It is the Republican party that is desperately trying to close the hatch and save the ship. The Republican party is standing against three pieces of legislation that will forever resign this nation to a continual decline and eventual ruin. The first is commonly understood to be “health care,” this legislation will forever alter a citizens relationship to their government. If it passes medical attention will become a right that must be met by force of law. As the saying goes, if you want to make something expensive, make it free. The failure of this solution to meeting the medical needs of people is deeply felt by those who lost loved ones because the English or the Canadian governments denied vital care. Liberal Democrats have another scheme to launch on the American people this one is called “Cap and Trade” – essentially this nightmare would allow the federal government to tax a citizen when they drive, breath, or turn on the light switch. Kirsten Gillibrand has personally advocated for it in the editorial page of the Wall Street Journal, I assume Senator Gillibrand expects that by creating the next Wall Street scam will lead to voluminous campaign contributions on the back of the American taxpayer. Finally, there is “Card Check,” this gem would eliminate the secret ballot from the process by which a business goes from being a non-union to a union shop. Thus, the Union leadership would be in a position to put massive pressure on those who voted “no.” Republicans have stood, and are standing against all of this – in fact on the “Cap and Trade” front Republicans have earned bipartisan opposition to it.
All the while the water is rushing into our ship, and the choice must be made in six months; will the citizens of this great nation choose to stand with the leadership of the liberal democratic party, that is trying to keep the hatch open, so we all go down, or will the American people choose to stand with the Republican party, that is trying to close the hatch? I have confidence that the American people are ready to not only support the Republican party, but help close the hatch and save the ship. America is ready to sacrifice all but our liberty and our economic freedom – this has, and will always be true, and has happened in the past, it is “We The People” leading the charge. Right now the only organized political party that has the capacity to close the hatch is the Republican party.
To those who say the Tea Party has no leader and is therefore limited in its influence . . . the Tea Party HAS a leader. The Constitution.
I'd love to see it stopped, but it will take action on the part of all everyday citizens. Where are the senior citizens on this? They're the ones likely to see their life-saving meds and surgeries taken away. Their grandchildren will be slaves to the state if this isn't stopped. They also need to stand up with a loud voice and force the end of this death-care bill!
I'll be there to protest with my school-age kids – who'll join me?
Well you sound more mature than Christine O'Donnell, so you will have my vote.
Thanks for doing what your doing. This is important work, God's work, in fact.
We'll all be watching…
He ignored America before he was ever elected by refusing to produce a birth certificate. Because there is none!
"This is socialized medicine that will cost us trillions of dollars that we DO NOT HAVE"
It is not the cost that is the problem, in the end this will, as Obama promised, fundamentally change this society – for the worse.
If not overturned, in ten years this country will be unrecognizable.
When the government defines the minumum level of care then it will only be a matter of time before this level of care is the only and the maximum level of care provided to anyone – save the elites of course.
That level of care is far below that which you pay for – and enjoy now.
This will complete our transition to a fully compliant third world sh1thole.
And I don't need to tell you all how far down that path we have already progressed.
This is a long way from being over. States rights must trump this assault on liberty.
There is a special corner of Hell for tyrants and their minions.
The tyrants who foisted this destruction upon the American people will pay for their crimes.

And once again:
I could spend every minute of every day mocking and bashing obama, and I wouldn't even have to shade the truth. He's given us an endless supply of evidence to support the case against him, with more coming every day.
But being in this state every day has become like a soul-destroying malignancy. A negative addiction that spills out onto everyone, even those who are otherwise decent people; politicians that we mostly agree with, but because they aren't setting fire to the White House, they need to be destroyed too. This has got to change.
What we need, if we really want to save this country, is to develop a positive vision for what we're going to do once we've rid ourselves of obama and the "progressive" menace. Ronald Reagan didn't win in 1980 by tearing at the cancer of the Carter administration. He won by reminding us that America was greater than all of that. And we were inspired by it. He didn't win by "convincing America" to agree with him. He won by inspiring those Americans who ALREADY AGREED with him, to get out and vote.
We are the majority; those who believe America is the greatest country in the world. We outnumber the America-haters 100 to 1. But we won't win if we're all divided along the lines of which politicians we hate the most. That's not how you inspire a nation to get out and vote. "Hatred" is the "progressive's" game. If we go there, we will lose.
I hope you'll forgive this rant, but I think it's time that we started to see obama as irrelevant to our plans to rebuild America; an impediment, a speed bump that we will soon leave behind us in the dustbin of history.
Harry, I don't recognize it now.
"and if elected as the next U.S. Senator from Virginia, I will do everything in my power to repeal, defund and kill government controlled health care."
Great….. do it, but I am unconvinced your counterparts in the Congress and certainly not the devilcRAT's in your Senate truly want this repealed, defunded, or killed.

I have not considered myself a birther in the past but honestly enough already, show us your damn long form birth certificate already. If it turns out to be a scandal of any sort when it comes out, and it will, there will be a great deal of dims trying to find uncharted territory on this planet. Trump nailed it, if I run you will hear from people I went to kindergarten with!
Lowes and HD will have a huge sale!
Agree, for the most part. You are completely correct that Reagan succeeded with a positive message – and this is exactly what we need now.
And yes we are the majority – the radical left is a cult, they do not want this to be generally understood and for the most part it is not, but it is true.
The problem is that Obama is not irrelevant at this time. We cannot ignore this.
Yes in the larger picture and in time Obama is just that – a name and in the end just one of a gang of radicals. Currently however he quite relevant to what happens politically, we must deal with this.
I am so f'n sick of the "we can't afford it" argument. Just who is "we" and where is my say in how "we" spend "our money"? The collectivist "progressive agenda" is itself a violation of our Constitutionally guaranteed (hard to say "protected" anymore) rights every time a little more of it gets implemented. "Positive rights" are a big steamy pile of Leftist CRAP…
I am also sick of our economy being characterized as a "consumer driven" economy. What a crock! It is a producer driven economy… If I don't produce I have no money with which to "consume". Of course with "positive rights" that is less true than it used to be…
I am tired of working for the benefit of strangers as I have to defer my own life's goals in order to provide them some
handout"benefit"… You only live once – why is it "just" for the government to steal even 1% of your life for the sake of another? If that is "selfish", then by all means count me in…A quote we should employ often:
"By what right?" -Ayn Rand
" Give me Health Care or Give me Death "
Whats that ?
It's the same thing ?
Never mind……

Thing is that he doesn't want to. Once he shows it, then debate is over. If he doesn't then he can use it as a club and he and his braindead acolytes can scream "ALL REPUBLICANS ARE BIRTHERS"!
I don't care too much about the birth certificate, I'm more intrested in the College Transcripts!!!!!
That issue alone should is not causing near the rage it deserves.
Well the reality is that they've been working towards this for quite awhile. Looking back if everyone would've payed heed to Sen. Joseph Mc Carthy, what a hero
But we cannot afford to keep paying for the healthcare of those who choose to go without health insurance!
Any civilized society will see to it that all men are treated with dignity and respect! Healthcare is a right that all men deserve!
This is populism, nothing more.
This is a way for the statist to buy votes – nothing more. Vote for me and (in effect) you will not need to pay for your health insurance, I will see to it that the rich man pays! This is the unspoken promise, so easy for the gullible and those who choose not to think, to believe in.
But facts are facts no matter what is said by the politician. A product does not exist unless it is created by a man, that is not free. The state cannot provide healthcare, they can only attempt to force other men to do so. And the state does this from one end of a gun, no matter how politely you try and phrase it.
This is slavery, plain and simple.
I mentioned Milton Friedman not long ago who made the excellent point that the tax rate is not what they charge you in any particular year, it is what they spend. Consider that citizen, how much spending do you see? Where are the jobs? Your jobs?
This not in the least bit about healthcare for everyone, this is the shark getting into the cage with you. It's a Total control mechanism. If this stands they'll rule and reign like royalty over us. NOT FOR ME

Here you go….more ammo! http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0311/51840.h...
Great rant John. Caught it earlier too but couldn't reply just then. Glad you posted it more than once. Harry is right that we do have to contend with O, but you are equally correct that we should not just sit back and react to him. I frankly can't stand the incompetent POS and refuse to listen to the grating sound of his evil voice.
One minor disagreement?
"What we need, if we really want to save this country, is to develop a positive vision…"
No, John – it is there. What we need to do is clearly articulate it and defend it vociferously and at every turn. No compromise, no half-measures. Patrick Henry did not say "Give me liberty or give me a lesser life"…
I am not advocating physical violence, but rather suggesting that we must withstand, and then repel and defeat the rhetoric from the Left that has done real and actual violent damage to our rights as individuals. No more living off the labors of "others", no more having children you can't afford and then sticking ME the middle class with the bill to pay for your food, shelter and education. If they can't afford it? DON'T DO IT! Is there any question that all of this "public assistance" frees up their own money to "allow" these "poor people" to afford a very middle-class existence? And that it invites them to breed without having to bear the real costs – thus increasing the size of the "dependent class", and ensuring it endures? What of the dangers inherent in encouraging an ever-growing segment of the population that does not respect the rights of others, but only their own "entitlement" to the production of the more able?
No, our vision must be the one the Founders embraced: Individual rights protected from an intrusive government a by a limited one that acts as an objective judge in matters of dispute between citizens…
I am sick of all this "we" crap… "We" are not all in the same boat… Just supposed to sharing an "ocean" made free for all to pass… or sink…
And that is my rant… Thanks for sharing…
He is not irrelevant because we have MADE him, not irrelevant. And we've done that by not advancing a better vision.
I, in the meantime, will try to put forth a better vision.
Just a few thoughts….
Put Sarah Palin and Congressman Alan West on the ticket for 2012. First, West would go through Hell carrying a gas can, but Sarah Palin and her ardent supporters would go through a raging inferno carrying dynamite for her, so… Game, set, and match. I believe those two would be the only ones each other could deal with as mates… West needs someone with as much common sense as he, and Palin needs someone who's tough enough not be thought of as cannon fodder, when the going gets tough.
Sarah Palin's has more inherent political grasp than Alan West, however, he has a better grasp of using language that leaves no room for the opposition to wiggle. Each amplifies the other's strong traits as well. West has been through hell with a gun. Palin's been through political hell and has walked out unsinged and smiling. Not to mention, it would be a fascinating question as to whether there would be any need for Secret Service protecting West and the First Dude!!!
Thanks Jamie, You have my support! , Member of the Chesapeake Chapter of The Hampton Roads Tea Party
My wife is going to spend her last day at a third party health care provider on March 31, 2011. WHY? Becuse barack hussien obama and 350 of his closest diciples voted to end of a 9 year career. The future my wife and I once had is gone because of no fault of her own. The thing that sucks, the worst, is now the crap is going to be repeled or waived. My wife's choosin career gone by the stroke of a pen. A major helth care manager gone. 1700 jobs lost!!!! Thanks alot you worthless POS!!! VOTE TEA PARTY!!! TO H3LL WITH THE MAINSTREAM!! It can't be any worse.
Go For It! We need someone in Congress willing to stand up against Obamacare and how it will destroy our healthcare system and economy. Voices like yours keep the fight going. The work is not yet over. Repeal Obamacare!
Straw man… goin' straight to the Devil,
Straw man… going… straight… to… Hell!
Please keep reading until you get to MadBoheny's comment about what The Great and Powerful Uuhhh's "health" "care" "rerform" has done to 1,700 jobs before you shoot your mouth off again, pinhead. I'd really like to see you say these things to that guy's face. My hunch is that you'd soon be a prime candidate for more than a bit of maxillofacial surgery to repair what's left of your jaw – surgery which would not be covered under Uuhhhhbama "care," by the way.
We fundamentally agree, this is a matter of semantics.
Obama is relevant to what is happening politically, like it or not.
Here is what I mean.
Rep. Anthony Weiner said Wednesday he was looking into how a health law waiver might work for New York City.
Weiner, who is likely to run for mayor of New York, said that because of the city’s special health care infrastructure, his office was looking into alternatives that might make more sense. Weiner is one of the health care law’s biggest supporters; during the debate leading up to reform, he was one of the last holdouts in Congress for the public option.
This by itself is so absurd it is surreal. You cannot make this stuff up!
Who is granting these waivers? United States Department of Health and Human Services. Who runs this department? The Secretary of Health and Human Services, who is appointed by Obama. This department is an arm of the executive branch and these actions are the direct result of executive direction, if not specifically authorized and ordered by Obama. This is relevant.
Waivers excusing a party from obeying a federal law?
When did this become a presidential power? Arguably it is not.
Why do we allow this? Why does the legislature allow this to continue?
Obama is ruling as a king, and he will continue to do so until his power is checked. The conservative executive is attacked endlessly from the media with the call 'imperial presedency', and Obama is actually acting this way we hear silence!
I don't see anyone standing up to this – anyone in power that is, save a few such as Bachmann. I don't see it changing.
I'm nowhere near tired. Ready to vote again, and again, and again. Republicans are just as much to blame for this mess.
NEVER again will I vote for the lesser of two evils, in any election.
I like it.
Glad for your post, Radtke, but I will be supporting George Allen for that Senate seat.
I never did understand that old leftie canard. So why exactly ARE your health care costs passed down to society? Your grocery costs aren't passed down to society. Your clothing costs aren't passed down. If you don't have either of those, and you don't want to work for them, then you must rely on charity to provide for you. THAT is the conservative principle. Perhaps you should start up a charity to pay health care costs for the poor, instead of digging into my pockets and then whining about how greedy I am.
okay all together now.. NO!
Sarzoky is in many ways is like a French George Bush. He has a lot of charisma and makes a lot of promises, but never lives up to them, so is it really surprising he made a heck of a blunder? Heck, I'm American and I think it's wrong they didn't recognize the UK's and Canada's roles.
I'd like to see a Petraeus-McDonnell ticket in 2012. Palin? Paul? Pawlenty? Gingrich? Forget them. I won't even consider someone for POTUS, unless they have worn the uniform of the Armed Forces of the United States (Ron Paul did, to his credit). Both Gen. David Petraeus and Gov. Bob McDonnell have served with distinction in the Army. Both are true Americans of strong conviction and moral compass. Neither has relinquished their duties of office, unless directed to by higher office.
Heh heh! Someone is trollin' yur azz and clicking you down…
I have this impossible fantasy…
Remember M*A*S*H*? Every so often they had an episode where everyone lined up to collect their cash from the paymaster. They had to stand in line and sign a roster before they collected – in the form of cash, right there on the table…
How much fun would it be to line up all of the employees at a mid-sized business and present them with a similar scenario? A little announcement as to the disbursement of that weeks gross receipts? I can just picture the small group sitting at the table with a big pile of cash and each employee holding a voucher showing the amount of their share… BUT… Before they get it a parade of welfare recipients comes through FIRST – obese children, fancy-ass cell phones and all the other "luxuries" WE pay for, and skims their take off the top… just like in real life… then the "poor, underpaid" gub'mint workers with a $$$ amount indicating THEIR pay and benefits displayed for all to see… and finally some dudes in suits and dark sunglasses to take the balance of their "withholding"…All the while they see that "voucher" shrink in $$$ size…
Let them SEE where THEIR earnings are going! The face of the stranger whose life is made possible at the expense of their own. Little Jenny can't have braces or new clothes because some welfare recipient has a "right" to expect "The State" to pay for the rearing of their children? The "poor" State "worker" who will retire with security they could only dream of – while living an equal or better lifestyle in the present… and then the rest of it, going only God knows where… as that initial number shrinks from pride to resentment… The ultimate "reality check"?
I can dream, can't I?…
Waivers should be illegal. I am tired of reading about a new entity receiving a waiver, every day.
Now, the biggest supporter of the Bill….Dem from NY Anthony "Hissyfit" Weiner is suggesting that NYC should get a waiver because it has unique needs!!!!
The unintentional comedy is off the scale! You mean, different cities, states and even people have different needs?? Really??? Just shocking!!!!!
That's my posse. A source of pride.
It is not a coincidence that the money is removed from your pay before you receive it.
It is also not a coincidence that voting day and tax day are nearly exactly 6 months apart.
We should change both of those things.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emergency_Medical_Tr...
Heh heh! Should be a source of pride… Lots of peeps around here don't much care for me, and they are seemingly far more "attentive" in the thumbing department. Who cares? Make yur point, defend yur ground… Have fun and move on…
We should repeal the 16th amendment and then figure it out from there. I read some interesting info on the "fair tax" the other day. It was more of a position paper than explicit policy, but it was intriguing.
My property taxes (second installment) are usually due just before any Nov. elections. This past year they extended a "grace period" due to their "inability" to get the bills out until the SECOND WEEK of Nov… Shellack!!!
Suspend withholding for two years and make people do "estimated quarterly reporting" and have to write a check four times a year… Would we then see…
Revolution 2.0? "No Representation without taxation" and a return to "Equal protection under the law"… and from it too…?
The small businesses that are being most affected by this Obamacare law should simply refuse to comply. That's all. They can't follow it and maintain their businesses. What else can they do? Making everyone – except your friends in the unions and certain companies that support you – criminals is a weird way to lead a country.
Thank God for Republican women.
I am so sick and tired of jelly livored, scared of their own shadow, Republican "men", and their dumb ass games and double talk.
Our country is on the financial tipping point and were supposed to believe cutting 1/10th of 1% of 13 Trillion is a big deal. Give me a break! I give a rat's a$$ what MSNBC, Chris Matthews, garbage mouth Bill Maher and all the Sunday morning wagging tongues think!
Run, Jamie, Run!
With their attributes, they'd make a strong ticket.
)
Give it a rest. Obama is not a tyrant; you can't have a tyrant with 3 separate branches of government. Tyrants can't be voted out of office; Obama can.
Right. Constitutional scholars have debated the meaning of many parts of the Constitution since its inception, and apparently somehow the Tea Party understands it as it was meant to be understood by the Founding Fathers. So many of the Tea Party members want limited government, but they want it limited to do what THEY want it to do (ostensibly because only THEY know the correct interpretation of the Constitution), and they consider themselves patriots. If others have a different interpretation and think the government should do other things, they're considered tyrants.
The Tea Party philosophy isn't anything new. There's not a poll that has been done on the Tea Party that hasn't found them to be overwhelmingly conservative and Republican.
He's a real charmer isn't he? Why the pri** isn't in jail is the real question.
I'm interested in the college transcripts, the social security numbers and the flipping birth certificate.
The reason the BC is so vital, and please, don't fall for the canard that it's a tool to make Republicans look silly – the reason it DOES matter is due to his mama's age when he was hatched, and his daddy being a British citizen, his mama had no legal authority to apply for US citizenship for her baby –
It's a damn joke and the one who looks like an idiot is none other than barry – anyone who does a lick of research understands it's much more than 'let's see the piece of paper' meme.
I won't bother reading your nonsense beyond the first FALSE line – the only one's debating the blueprint for FREEDOM, are the commie idiots who want to RESTRICT those freedoms.
Get back to school kid and stop drinking the karl marx crap -
btw, did you all hear that Wiener wants a waiver for ALL of New York City?
If that isn't the funniest damn thing I've heard in years, I don't know what is!!
sorry to interupt
just had to share
Ah ha, and you've read all the thousand page bills and 100's of regulations and know for a fact that nothing else was snuck in there, right?
Yep, there are 3 separate branches and guess which TWO barry ignores – try again kid
Opps, I didn't get to read this before I posted the same thing (in a shorter version) above –
Did anyone else catch Wayne Rogers on Cavuto? He believes if ONE MILLION American citizens gathered on the mall, those weak kneed republicans will loose their fear –
it worked for MLK, I say it's worth a try
Two great rants in one night, yea!
I'd work to make that magic ticket happen – they are quite the dynamic duo
The left is scared to death of both of them -
Not sure where your tossing that blanket, but as for obarrycare, NO Republican voted for this pos –
If you choose to NOT vote, you sir are going to forever be part of the problem –
work to put forth the BEST candidate, don't wait for someone else, WE THE PEOPLE will do this -
Good luck with that one
Lest we forget who wrote this crap – from jail no less! A true commie from the get go – Robert Creamer
The only interest folks like Big Fart and the progressives have in the constitution is looking for loop holes.
Mornin IDP. Well, here in NJ, It's 10 minutes to April and I just scrapped the ice off my wife's car so she can go to work. It would seem that global warming is in full force. lol
Now, on to the important stuff.
Everyone here should take a gander at IDP's site, http://www.itsaboutliberty.com It's not only a great place to vent your frustrations, but a place to garner information about a whole host of subjects pertinent to what's going on in the political arena. A great place to find and organize events and protests. Lot's of useful information and great like minded people. Give it a try.
That's exactly what I like about it. They don't seem too scared of Hucksterbe, or of health-insurance-Romney.
America is standing on a great precipice. We the people will make a choice next year, we will decide the very future of america, or, the demise of her. I've been participating in these political blogs for a while now and have seen and heard many of you think as I do. But, thinking isn't enough anymore, this calls for action. We the people have the enemy now within our borders, within our congress, and in the white house.
If America is worth saving then we the people are the only ones who can save it. imho the next election will go down in history as the most important election our nation has ever had. We the people will decide if America will remain "the land of the free and the home of the brave" or will we become another socialist nightmare like Europe. I can't say it enough, IT'S THAT IMPORTANT. Please, my fellow Americans, study, find out everything you can about the candidate that's running in your district, state, county, and city governments. Please, if your not sure of a candidate's intentions, then DON'T VOTE FOR THEM. America has been blessed by G_d to be a shining star in the world. We've been given the resources to sustain us. If we allow the socialists/marxists/democrats to continue to sell America off then we don't deserve her.
The Obamacare debacle is only part of the plan! Here is a friend of Obama and a former high ranking member of SEIU talking about the next step to come the first week in May, if they can pull it off. http://www.glennbeck.com/content/videos/?uri=chan...
How about that. The government created the whole problem.
How about an act to require grocery stores to provide me with free food? Then, when food prices go up, we can blame the greedy grocery store owners and have the government take over our entire food industry to "save taxpayer money".
Never let facts cloud your thinking.
This is the model of the statist, create a problem – mind you this being the government even the act of problem creation (something any child will gladly do for free) will still cost an astronomical amount of money and be overbudget, then effort to address said problem by increasing the size and scope of government.
Lather, rinse, repeat.
Et voilà, we have the mess we currently live in.
Nope, not frightened at all. Palin, Huck, and Bachmann are candidates that might appeal to the Tea Party folks, but I don't the the true middle of the road conservatives will go for them. Pawlenty and Daniels are too boring, New is a joke and Romney won't be able to get passed the healthcare stuff.
Christie is your only chance.
I think that's because most people have enough commonsense to understand that if Obama had NOT been born in the U.S., Hillary Clinton would have found the proof and exposed it during the primaries; McCain would have found it and exposed it during the campaign. Both of those people have the huge financial resources necessary to dig for and find the "concrete evidence" if it existed.
Yeah, that McCarthy – what a true patriot. So relieved to hear that some members of the Tea Party find him so heroic. Keep vocalizing your opinion on this…it can only gain you more fans.
Really? So, Obama overturned the Supremes in their decision that corporations are people? Great…I'll send The Koch boys an e-mail and let them know. Thanks for the tip!!
That brings back such memories of when I was in high school and thought Ayn Rand was just about the most brilliant person going. What grade are you in?
Got substance? I will be happy to gut yer azz too… Bring it, tiny lizard brain…
Oh, I love it when you guys go all caveman….
Sooo… no substance then? What are you afraid of? C'mon now… Ya disappoint me…
You askin' me if I got any drugs?
Not at all… Obviously they are already coursing through your veins, tiny lizard brain geek…
You have no substantive arguments… Your "philosophy" is empty and indefensible…
I have a job, so no more tonight – troll…
By reading your post's of late, you my friend seem to be wearing down in your fight. Remember, the many who fought before US. It is not going to be easy. There is just to much at stake. I always listen this speech, and remember what he went through, and try to relate to how he must of felt at times. It is my hope this speech will have the same and profound impact on you as it does on me.
I See the Promised Land – Martin Luther King, Jr.'s last speech
Prophetic words from Martin Luther King, Let his words inspire you today.

You idiot…I didn't offer any philosophy, so I'm not sure how you can even make any comment on it. I did say that when I was in high school Ayn Rand appealed to me, but I soon outgrew that. You apparently have not.
No I have not.
Thanks for playing.
"wearing down in your fight"
Not a bit!
It's snarkiness.
"That brings back such memories of when I was in high school and thought…"
What caused you to stop thinking? A lack of reading comprehension is my guess…
Again – Any substantive criticism of the philosophy you "outgrew"?
Something about individual rights and personal responsibility you don't like?
Nah, you're just a shallow, self-righteous blow-hard sheep… Baa!
Heh heh!
Thanks Harry…
Did you know Trump has contributed to Weiners campaign in the past? Now Trump wants to be GOP presidential candidate?
I'd like to understand why Trump likes Weiner.
First the positive:
Any Rand opposed Reagan for what she referred to as his "mixture of capitalism and religion," and called him the representative of the worst kind of conservatism. I agree with her on that…very strongly.
She personally thought homosexuality was immoral, yet felt it was improper for any law to interfere with a relationship between consenting adults; felt that the choice to have an abortion was the sole discretion of the woman involved – no one else. I agree with both of those views.
She was consistent on her views on individual liberty almost to the point of biting off her nose to spite her face at times.
You were smart to delete your first response to me – that was weak and I woulda picked it to pieces. I won't embarrass you by quoting it for all to see.
Had Rand lived to witness the entire Reagan Presidency I am sure she would have had much to praise to go along with legitimate criticism and any lingering concerns. I was 10yrs old when he got elected, so some of his less important domestic policies are a little vague in their actual implementation for my memory. She would have loudly cheered his handling of the USSR and his defense of Capitalism, IMO.
She was slightly ambivalent on the "rights of the fetus" after the end of the first trimester, though I can't find the source to quote. IF one understood her philosophy regarding virtue, morality and the psychological value of sexuality as it pertains to a healthy mind they would also see that it would follow that abortion would be extremely rare.
Homosexuality? I agree. Her "problem" with it was that it represented an unhealthy or disturbed state of consciousness. Get the State out of marriage, and any policy pertaining to – or informed by, marriage and I won't care either. Gay "marriage" is legal in almost every sense except social recognition already anyway, so what's the big deal? I am being overly simplistic here, but g'head and get your "gay" on if you want to – just don't violate my rights doing it, nor expect any "special status" because of it…
Your last sentence is gratuitously vague. Care to clarify? Or should I write it off to your wanting to sound clever without providing an ounce of substance to back it up. Ever read "How to Read (and Not to Write)”? You are guilty of what she spoke of (in part) in that essay. Too bad, the rest of your response was better than I usually get – which is feint praise since most of them are utterly pathetic…
Her fiction (your deleted comment)? All a matter of personal taste. If you read "We The Living", you will see a much finer grade of "literary" art compared to the "big two".
