Tea Party Kosher, Says… Dem Strategist Robert Creamer
by Joel B. PollakA few weeks ago, Democratic strategist Robert Creamer was repeating the widely-circulated slanders about the Tea Party: “Is there any wonder that they spit at members of Congress as they went to vote, or that they hurl racial insults that are dredged up from the worst parts of America’s past,” he wrote in his column at the Huffington Post.

Today, Creamer is full of praise for the Tea Party movement–with nary an accusation of racism or violence in sight. “Tea Party activists don’t much trust big institutions of any sort–big government or big banks. They think of themselves as victims of the bureaucrats in Washington as well as the big banks in New York,” he writes.
What seems to have changed Creamer’s mind is the realization that more and more Americans sympathize with the Tea Party’s simple goals–which, in my understanding at least, are to protect and to expand freedom and opportunity for all Americans by restoring our constitutional values and limiting the size and reach of government.
Creamer seems to believe that the Tea Party can be turned against “traditional Republican defenders of Wall Street.” Some of Wall Street’s most devoted patrons are Democrats, but never mind. Creamer seems to envision a sort of proletarian unity, in which ordinary people can be whipped up in anger against their perceived oppressors.
I think Creamer has the Tea Party wrong, in that its members are not hostile to the free market ideals that built America.
Many resent the role that banks played in the financial crisis, but my sense is that they resent the role of government even more–particularly the bailouts and the role played by government-linked Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
I also think that the direction in which Creamer hopes to push the Tea Party–attacking banks and shadowy capitalist forces–is unwise and unwelcome. Creamer is fond of these themes, despite the fact that they have historically led to destructive forms of nationalism, socialism, and antisemitism particularly during tough economic times.
It is almost as if Creamer wishes the Tea Party to become the extreme movement he once claimed it to be. His broader aim may be to marginalize it, and capitalize on its many faults and fractures. His more immediate goal is to take votes away from GOP candidates, whether through third-party efforts or simply depressing Republican turnout.
Regardless, Creamer’s new approach to the Tea Party reveals that its critics are fully prepared to acknowledge its legitimacy, as long as they can turn the movement against Republicans. The allegations of racism, homophopia, etc. are largely a sham, aimed to blunt the Tea Party’s message when it conflicts with partisan Democratic priorities.
Above all, the new seriousness with which the left and the media are treating the Tea Party is a sign of its effectiveness. Not everyone with agree with everything the Tea Party stands for, least of all the Tea Party itself. But the basic message–more freedom, less corruption–is well within the mainstream, and one that most Americans share.

put him back in jail with bubba !
Corporate policy is a reflection of what the government lets them get away with! The Dems have been in power in congress for too long!!!!
Here is a great web sight that explains what needs to happen in Washington today.
http://www.downsizinggovernment.org/
Creamer stuck his finger in the air and saw which the wind was blowing.
The more the Progressives try to dis the Tea Party, the more I think we are right!
Convicted FELONS will not be influences to TEA PARTY citizens. Even though we may detest some of the laws we still abide by them. We are not so ignorant of the facts and Creamer the husband of a Socialist Rep's history of THEFT. We do not care about his ideas for redistribution of the wealth, It is a disgrace (and should be illegal IMHO) that the Obama's have had him into the White House.
Good article. I agree with it 100%
Get away with? Maybe partially. More like what the corporations are mandated to do by the government.
The government is not the solution, the government is the problem… RR
Too late progressives. You tipped your hand way too early and didn't keep your agenda hidden as in the past.
We already know how you feel about the Tea Party movement, our founder's ideals, and America in general. There's not enough time to backpedal now.
The tea party is a manifestation of an aggregate frustration with Washington.
Creamer is an outsider, he isn't a Washingtonian. He isn't a party hack. He isn't a shill. He isn't a politician.
The man recognizes a kindred spirit in his heart and in the heart of those that have aligned to protest big party politics as usual.
Frankly, I think the Tea Party could do a lot worse than to align themselves with Creamer. He is a brilliant strategist. His organizational skills might be just what the Tea Party needs to build a coherent and cohesive infrastructure.
His new found influence in the Tea Party movement is harbinger of good things to come.
It's the 'new' audacity, people. Get used to it.
It is my HOPE that all the hype of those who want to infiltrate the TPM
tomorrow will not keep anyone away from the gatherings.
I HOPE to see you in DC.
I will be there all day with my vid cam
This criminal, (that helped, if not authored, this sham of a HealthScare reform while in the Pen), ought to be silenced and deemed incompetent. Just another Marxist surrounding the Agitator in Chief. Of course, he's aided and abetted by his radical Wench of a Wife who will be looking for something else to do come election time.
Fear not Patriots, this is a glaring example of the left letting us know where they're getting hurt. All we have to do is wait for them to utter their lies through their stinking, rotting teeth.
You forgot community organizer, Obama advisor, check kiter, commiter of bank fraud, convicted felon and husband of representative Jan Schakowsky. Outsider indeed.
Try to be at least a little honest while trolling please.
And another Progresive suddenly realizes, If you can't Beat them, Join them…
Wonder what kind of whacky sign this guy will be carrying… to try to add HIS messege to the Tea Party movement.
And you sir need to read the history on him and his wife. Neither would be welcome in any Tea Party circle.
T.E.A. Taxed Enough Already.
After Obama cut taxes for 95% of us.
The idiocy is breathtaking.
Personally, I dont think we need the likes of a HuffPo punk. Hes a leftist and leftists hate freedom. Creamer is likely being told by Arianna to make nice with the tea party movement until he can come up with something to discredit it. We dont need the likes of Creamer. I smell a phony. If Creamer were seriuos, he would quit the HuffPo and write for some real mag like Breitbart or Front Page.
Let me guess, Joe. You bathe in bong water. Am I right?
…whew, Josephine of Mush, you have reached a new low of moronic troll-propaganda…
…you're pimpmasters at Soros aren't gettin' their money's worth – you are too stupid to be valuable to them….
I have always been right
uhh, cept when i was left(that was a long time ago)
Really, joseph of no steel-hes the husband of far lefty rep Jan Schankowsky., a noted enemy of freedom . He covered up the Rezko/Obama connection and also locally the trials of one governor Blago. This guy is Kieth the Uberdork without a TV show that noone watches.
New found influence? Wow, you got to one heck of a huge assumption really really fast. He's not an outsider, he's…oh wait, I just saw Dodsfall already schooled you on who he really is. Thumbs up to Dod.
gotta agree there macnevetts
corporate policy reflects what the gummit tells them and what the
corporations are able to lobby
"I think the Tea Party could do a lot worse than to align themselves with Creamer. He is a brilliant strategist. His organizational skills might be just what the Tea Party needs to build a coherent and cohesive infrastructure."
You're serious, huh?
I guess convicted felons with a niche for bank fraud really could be a great asset to the Tea Party IF the TP was trying to launder money, hide donor reciepts, (insert any other typical marxist behavior) except the TP doesn't want a "coherent and cohesive infrastructure."
We like not having central leadership as it makes the Left even more frustrated when trying to center an attack because there is no head to the movement.
Good try, Robert, but I think your time is better suited on the inside than the out.
http://blakelachappell.blogspot.com/
You still believe that. He has yet to cut anything in either taxes or spending. And recently, the administration has had talks about adding more taxes to pay for the new HC law and other bills. They have talked about and will try to move forward with a VAT and possibly with a carbon or other tax later to.
You need to get out of the Obama delusion. Yes, idiocy is breathtaking, so please, enough of your idiocy.
The Tea Party would be wise to keep the heat on the Republicans as well. The Republican leaders can't stand the Tea Party either, but have been wise enough to try to chanel the movement to help them in November.
After the rearranging of the deck chairs on the titantic in November, when Republicans score a big victory, and again fail to reduce government and promote individual freedom, with an ever shaky dollar, and a government on the brink of economic failure, I look for both major parties to try to marginalize the Tea Party.
mac, you are a moron.
The money was stolen under the republicans watch. And as usual the democrats are fixing things. Albeit taking a little longer than usual due to the magnitude of the theft. And the trillion pssed away in Iraq for nothing.
ha ha
I see you're back to using your own profile now. But again, you are WRONG, who had power in congress in 2007?
I say get away with because we have laws, some have loopholes, others don't, but even if laws exist, if they are not enforced, they will be ignored.
The money was stolen long before 2007 you fool. And in 2007 the dems had the super majority 50-49-1.
God you people are stupid.
The tenth amendment to the Constitution explained here in this video.

Concern trolling is so last-decade.
I honestly can't believe the magnitude of the ignorance here.
George Bush dropped a tree on your house. And you idiots blame Obama for the cleanup costs.
God you people are stupid.
"You still believe that."
It is a fact. $400 for individuals and $800 for couples. Total tax cuts of about $250 billion.
Regardless, Creamer’s new approach to the Tea Party reveals that its critics are fully prepared to acknowledge its legitimacy, as long as they can turn the movement against Republicans.
It's interesting to note that a recent poll shows 41% of those identifying with Tea Party are independents or democrats. This tells me that the message resonates across idealogical boundaries to some extent, and underscores the idea that the values espoused by the Tea Party are good for America.
Liberals are only destructively creative. Since they didn't create the Tea Party, they will seek to corrupt it. Tea Party participants must remain vigilant in order to keep forward progress from being co-opted.
"The Tea Party would be wise to keep the heat on the Republicans as well."
The tea party movement is part of a generational shift, I expect a major realignment of both parties into something that will catch both aging boomers and cynical Gen-Xers quite by surprise. That establishment politicians from both parties are now pandering to the movement is just further evidence of that.
"And another Progresive suddenly realizes, If you can't Beat them, pretend to join them… "
There, fixed that for you.
I will agree that the roots of the housing bubble go way back to the 70s when banking regulations were passed requiring banks to make bad loans to people who couldn't afford homes in bad neighborhoods (I hear your mom was one of them). Your admission of the dems super majority in 2007 just proves that any fault from congress is owned by the dems, 2007 is when the banks collapsed and the bailout frenzy started, all apporved by……you guessed it, your friends in congress!
He/she does not use real information or logic in his/her comments. Agitator, probably paid for by the Leftists. yours to play with or ignore.
"The GOP should not take the Tea party for granted."
The surviving ones won't.
"when banking regulations were passed requiring banks to make bad loans to people who couldn't afford homes"
Complete and utter nonsense.
Maybe you'd like to provide a link to prove your point. (It's impossible as no such legislation was ever passed)
You morons believe anything that El Rushbo spouts off on.
God you people are stupid.
Why is this man taken seriously by any of us? He lacks a moral center (long list of criminal activity) so he's a con. He can't play on this game field because it requires a pattern of moral conviction, not a pattern of judicial system conviction.
If only you had your facts straight.
It was announced not long ago that there will be a tax increase of $250 billion if not more to pay for all the bills and laws being passed lately. You may not want to confuse debt with revenue.
My only question is this to you, how much longer are you still going to believe the lies of the left?
Have you factored in the sunset of the Bush tax cuts? Oops, there goes your Obama tax cut!
I have met a lot of liberals that can think critically…. ….they grow out of being liberals.

I'd agree that YOUR idiocy is breathtaking.
A look at the tax "cutting" prowess of the lying dems:
http://republicans.waysandmeans.house.gov/Uploade...
True. Enforcement of laws is a different issue than loopholes tho.
Loopholes are a problem. Like Congress writing themselves out of the HC law…
I'm more concerned about our government making exceptions to laws and the constitution in the name of safety.
Explain why 66% of America believes we are over-taxed according to Rasmussen. Are you saying that 66% of America is stupid? If so, maybe you should move to a place where people are obviously more intelligent like you….you know somewhere like Venezuela where they take 3-minute showers, or Cuba with all of their great healthcare!
Moderate-Progressive Republicans have got to go. They would be the only ones who "can't stand" the Tea Party, but even they won't openly admit it. The conservative Republicans, on the other hand, embrace the Tea Party, because they have the same ideals.
My original post was actually inspired from a quote, I believe it parallels well:
"The degree of civilization in a society can be judged by entering its prisons"
-Fyodor Dostoevsky
Craemer is a communist, and an evil man…
But he isn't stupid- he did write the manifesto for seizing power (while in prison for stealing other people's money, natch) that is the blueprint for Obama and his crowd. Married to shrew Rep Jan Schakowsky (D.Il) he knows a movement when he sees it. And those who mock, or ignore the Tea Party does so at their own peril. So he will attempt to 'co-opt' it.
By telling them they don't believe in small government ideas.
As the man says, Good luck withthat…
"We like not having central leadership as it makes the Left even more frustrated when trying to center an attack because there is no head to the movement."
It really throws them off their game when they can't use their alinsky rules.
"Pick the Target, Freeze It, Personalize It and Polarize It"
Here you go dumbass: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Community_Reinvestme...
The Tea Party is not loaded with a bunch of idiots. They know who is on their side and who isn't. Dems addressing Tea Party concers are meaningless at this time. They HAD their chance. They CAMPAIGNED on moderate goals, and then they kicked the country in the jewels once elected. It's too late for Dems to embrace the Tea Party now. Everyone knows that amounts to pandering for votes.
"It's interesting to note that a recent poll shows 41% of those identifying with Tea Party are independents or democrats."
That's because most Democrat voters aren't leftists. A substantial number of them are fiscally "conservative", and that really resonates now that spending has gone parabolic under the Dem Congress and now Obama. They understand that the real "tax rate" is not the percentage you pay right now, but the impact all that debt service will have on the economy and their purchasing power in the (unfortunately, all-too-near) future for decades to come. They understand that we cannot just return to a bubble economy like under Clinton+Bush forever.
"Here you go dumbass:"
The Community Reinvestment Act did not "require banks to make bad loans to people that couldn't afford homes" you imbecile.
Why don't you cite the portion of the bill that supports your lie? I know why. It doesn't exist.
God you people are stupid.
Its made me want to go even more. I will be attending in my area.
Not going to read a bill on your account, however:
Economist Stan Liebowitz wrote in the New York Post that a strengthening of the CRA in the 1990s encouraged a loosening of lending standards throughout the banking industry. He also charges the Federal Reserve with ignoring the negative impact of the CRA. In a commentary for CNN, Congressman Ron Paul, who serves on the United States House Committee on Financial Services, charged the CRA with "forcing banks to lend to people who normally would be rejected as bad credit risks." In a Wall Street Journal opinion piece, Austrian school economist Russell Roberts wrote that the CRA subsidized low-income housing by pressuring banks to serve poor borrowers and poor regions of the country.

I like that quote.

Read it and weap dumbass, even lefties don't want to be a part of this crap!
"Economist Stan Liebowitz wrote in the New York Post"
The New York Post? Good grief. And Ron Paul charged?
Good God you're stupid.
The never has been any legislation that "requires banks to make bad loans to people that couldn't afford homes" as you claim.
Now put up or shut up.
"God you people are stupid. "
Do your own research! He provided you a link. Exercise you brain… it obviously doesn't get used much.
I'll let Ron Paul do my talking for me, I have wasted enough time on you today libtard!
Your definition of "fixing" things = greatest debt in history, increased spending, greatest deficit in history, record unemployment, a 'transparent' administration, continued Patriot Act, Government Motors, Bailouts…??????
I have a chart in my office showing NObama's stimulus plan… Forecast w/o stimulus was about 8.5%, forecast WITH stimulus was about 8%, and ACTUAL UNEMPLOYMENT RATE is roughly 10%… U6 rate is 17% !!!
"Are you saying that 66% of America is stupid?"
This is anon you're asking. OF COURSE he is.
Don't people like Creamer listen? Do they have a problem understanding plain English? We don't need him as an ally. Who cares about what he says? He's a fool.
Don't silence him. Let him speak. Out of his own mouth his judgment will come.
This is what I'm scared of…

Telling a lie 1000 times will not make it the truth.
Can't imagine what his sign will say, but I bet it will be "misspelled!"
Can't imagine what his sign will say, but I bet it will be "misspelled!"
Withholding cuts are not tax "cuts"! You probably don't pay taxes, but if you did, you would notice a corresponding decrease in your return!
He didn't cut taxes for my parents. I wonder what wealth he thinks a retired college staffer( non academic, thank you) and a deck hand has.
*MissQuinn*
We dont think of ourselves as victims of anyone.
The fact the left uses a felon for their mouthpiece pretty much sums up their entire ideology
Why you ask? No brains, common sense and no heart.
He is a felon, he belongs squarely on the left. If we ever turn into a party that want's to rob or swindle people he's our guy though.
His assement that we feel like we are victims is a hoot. We are on the other side of that line, which the felon lovers will find out to their amazement this November.
Pretty revealing isn't it, that those in charge realize that their policies are tyrannical so they specially train a containment force months ahead of time!
All I want to hear from Creamer is his tin cup banging on the bars.
Exactly.
I know exactly the questions I'd ask Creamer:
1) Do you know anyone that was in prison, you know, an ex-con?
2) Or does Jan ( an Illinois State Rep. and wife) saying "Don't drop the soap, Honey!" make you a little uneasy ?
Is Robert Creamer a Je wish communist and a ex convict at the same time. But of course.Watch out for the slimy bolshevik.
This is a joke.. right? Yes, it's got to be a joke… No way in the world you could be serious… No, no way!
The two articles you link used "biggovernment" as a source!
God you people are stupid. You can buy the same insurance as our Congress has. Period.
"Good God you're stupid."
Maybe you should trademark that comment and make some money, you moron.
Take the time to READ and THINK for yourself.
But 95% of Americans DON'T PAY TAXES! So how can you get a cut if you aren't paying anything, dumbass?
And like others have pointed out, there are more taxes down the road with the Obamacare monstrosity that will effect the consumer, and includes a good possibility of a VAT, which will be ever so helpful to those already struggling.
I don't know why we bother responding to you. You have drunk so deeply of the Kool-Aid and your head is so far up Obama's ass that it would take major surgery to get it out . . .except that the surgeon's won't do the work because they can't get fairly reimbursed for their services and are afraid to get sued.
You keep on believing that.
This guy needs to take his ugly wife the crooked congresswoman , Jan back to Chicago and hide from the teaparty. They will not have none of their shenanigans no more. Your time in the spotlight is slowly fading. Enjoy your irrevelant moments while you can.
You're a complete and utter moron, anon. Congress pays approximately $45 per month for Cadillac insurance with the rest subsidized by our taxes. We might have access to the same plans but at an astronomical amount, such as several thousand dollars per month. We will have increased premiums plus an additional tax for 4 years for NOTHING, which would force many, both individuals and those working for corporations, onto a public plan out of necessity, which has been this administration's aim all along.
QUOTE:
"However, it has become clear that other groups may well initiate violence in order to start an 'incident' that would give Obama and a rogue Congress a reason to implement martial law, confiscate the citizens' guns, enforce curfews, and suspend all future elections until such time as it is deemed 'safe' to proceed with human liberty as encapsulated in the right to vote."
QUOTE:
To what extent would soldiers use deadly force during such 'civil unrest' should the Consequence Management Response Team be utilized? During the anti-war riots of the 1960s they killed student protesters. What about now?
The military source cited by the radio host today was asked this very question. He would merely say that the culture of the U.S. military is changing–half support Obama and the other half are dead-set against him.
His conclusion? There is no way to know for sure if they would obey an order to open fire on ordinary citizens.
————
Frightening, indeed. We have a dictator on our hands.
kasteer:
That Examiner article needs to be passed around everywhere. It's going to be the Dems' early October surprise in order to suspend elections and keep citizens in line.
You are so gullible, anon. You constantly embarrass yourself. Have some more kool-aid.
What more would a dirty dog do, but just try to get close to you.
That's right, anon. You keep thinking that. Banks are really in business because they want to LOSE money. Now be a good little doobie and go in the attica and dust off your Hitler brown shirt. Do you know the words to "Tomorrow Belongs to Me?" It's the adult equivalent to "Barack Hussein Obama, mmm mmm mmm…"
Really, when exactly was the money stolen, anon? Prove it.
Bush's debt was sustainable. Obama's is not and there's even worse news coming down the pike. Obama is an economic imbecile and a Marxist.
Barack Ake Berry Soetoro Obama from Kenya
The Dems are looting the Treasury as we speak and are now coming for our wallets to try to bridge the gap. You are too gullible, anon. Do you believe everything your talking points tell you? Exactly when under Republicans' watch was the money stolen?
