Higher-order Bullying: Challenge the Rulers, Risk Your Children?
by Dr. Jane OrientThe national campaign against bullying and hate may be in the news, but it’s nowhere in evidence as an American university wreaks revenge, not just on a dissenter who ran for Congress—but on his children, and on a brave professor who blew the whistle.
Michelle Obama may deplore playground name-calling, humiliation, and taunting. But she says nothing about powerful administrators wrecking the careers of our most promising students and distinguished professors, by actions and not just words?
Here’s the background: In one of the most astonishing races in the 2010 election, renowned scientist Arthur Robinson took on 12-term progressive incumbent Peter DeFazio for his congressional seat in Oregon’s District 4. DeFazio won the 2008 election with 82% of the vote. When the polls showed Robinson coming very close to winning, DeFazio unleashed a last-minute smear campaign.
That much is not unexpected. Americans have gotten used to vicious lies by politicians. Character assassination seems to be protected political speech.
But on November 4, after the election results were known, another campaign took off: against the three younger Robinson children, who are working toward their Ph.D. degrees in nuclear engineering at Oregon State University (OSU). The stellar academic records of all six home-schooled Robinsons (a Ph.D. in chemistry from Caltech, two veterinary medicine doctorates from Iowa State, and undergraduate degrees in chemistry or mathematics for the younger Robinsons) were an embarrassment for DeFazio, who is strongly supported by public education unions.
The twins, Joshua and Bethany, have nearly finished work that would qualify them for a Ph.D. at any normal university. They are highly regarded by the scientists and engineers who have worked with them. They continued to work hard, while noticing some oddities—that made sense when Professor Jack Higginbotham alerted them to plans hatched in closed-door departmental meetings. Political ideologues in control of the department had decided that Joshua and Bethany, and if possible their younger brother Matthew, would not be allowed to complete their degrees at OSU.
Getting good grades, following all the rules, working hard—and achieving mastery of a difficult, important field in which few Americans can qualify—are not enough, if your name is Robinson.
The Robinsons tried to work with university procedures. Things looked better when Joshua passed his oral qualifying examination with flying colors, despite apparent attempts to rig the process against him. But the university attacked Professor Higginbotham, in an effort to ruin his distinguished career. That serves as an example to the rest of the department, lest anyone might be inclined to help a Robinson. Higginbotham’s staff and students, including Matthew Robinson, will be collateral damage in this scorched-earth campaign.
Last week Joshua was denied entry to the facility where he needs to do his work, which was continuing under the direction of his former advisor, who is now at a different university (www.oregonstateoutrage.com). Is there something wrong with his work? The university declines to tell Joshua. And it is evidently good enough to be seized by the husband of the department chair, to advance his own career (he is now just an instructor) and that of two other graduate students. Joshua has been told he will get no credit, even though he designed and built the apparatus.
Art Robinson went public, and OSU has received thousands of phone calls, letters, and emails, protesting the university’s actions. The response: stonewalling. OSU spokesman Todd Simmons invokes federal law against discussing student records, although Joshua signed a waiver. In any event, the issue is the university’s actions, not the students’ records.
Is the university violating its own procedures? Is it seizing and plagiarizing Joshua’s and Bethany’s work for its own benefit, in violation of basic academic ethics? Is it acting under the direction of the Democrat political machine? (Note that DeFazio, a life-long opponent of nuclear energy, got an exclusive VIP tour of the nuclear engineering department during the campaign.) Did it violate federal law during the congressional campaign? Are departmental policies tainted by nepotism and other conflicts of interest? Does the department use double standards in evaluating students, perhaps tolerating cheating by favored students? Are the Robinsons perhaps in an unusual position of knowing too much about departmental corruption, and being able to speak about it without implicating themselves because they did not participate in it? If so, it would be very convenient to get rid of them and discredit them in the process.
The university administration apparently believes it can get away with violating its own rules as well as civility, human decency, academic ethics, and perhaps even federal law. After all, the taxpayers will pay its legal fees and any damages in the event of litigation. It is also willing to risk its reputation and academic standing. Why?
Maybe Arthur Robinson is a bigger threat. He came too close to unseating Peter DeFazio, who brags about helping to bring in $27 million in federal earmarks. Robinson has already announced his candidacy for 2012. And there’s more: OSU brings in lots of grant money to “find” evidence for human-caused climate change. Art Robinson distributed the petition, signed by 31,000 American scientists, that explodes the myth of consensus about the catastrophic climatic effects of atmospheric carbon dioxide (www.petitionproject.org).
The President’s Commission on the Status of Women announced concerns about bullying at a January meeting at OSU. None of the involved officials have been interested in helping the Robinsons, however. For one thing, they are not members of a “suspect class” (those considered vulnerable to discrimination, e.g. gays or minorities).
Freedom-loving Americans had better take notice. In totalitarian states, one of the Party’s most devastating tactics to maintain its grip on power is to threaten the families of dissidents. Such horrors develop in small incremental steps, as the regime learns what people will tolerate, and gets them used to atrocities in small doses. Your children could be next.

What an outrage! Very typical of the Progs, they'll stop at nothing to keep their grip on power.
Sounds like those in Oregon need to wake up and demand some BIG CHANGES. Sticking your head in the sand and laughing at the tree huggers is not going to work anymore. Time to change the structure and individuals in power positions of higher education.
Is this news? Is there really someone still out there that has to be convinced that modern science and education has as much to do with your political standing as it does evidence? The Robinson kids are only the most recent victim of these snide, fit-throwing, foot-stomping weasels.
How dare you, Mr. Robinson, challenge the "consensus" that mother earth hates mankind and his ways, and is therefore fighting back against his evils.
The whole thing is just stupid, and makes me sad for us as people, that we cannot fight back against these enviro-lunatics. Ever talked to one? Make much sense to ya? Did they seem a little manic? Did ya get the feeling they had forty cats and would feed their kids to their favorite tabby if they ran out of money for Meow Mix? That is, if they have managed to move out of mom's yet.
This is not rocket science, and there is no big human behavioral mystery here. Animal rights folks have little control over their emotions and are severely lacking in logic and human relations. They just don't get it.
Another reason not to live in Oregon or support their state schools. Defazio should be behind bars.
Here he is……………….with his buddy. http://www.life.com/image/81042831
Typical liberal "do as I say not as I do" politics. Nothing shocks me anymore.
Michelle O may deplore it on the playground but her husband condones it from public union members.
Ahhh, there it is. The Gorebull warming / EnviroNazi connection! It's not just politics per se, it's environmental politics. If Robinson, the elder, had not circulated the petition regarding climate cooling / warming / change / whatever (writen, of course, in the order of debunk) none of this ever would have happened. There is way, way too much money to be made by Algore and his minions to be upset by nobodies!
OSU gots some splaining to do… and they can do it now… or in court.
Almost makes me wish I was a lawyer — I'd get rich on this one.
TIME TO EXILE LIBERALS FOREVER! They are a POX on America.
WHY ARE LIBERALS FOISTING HIGH GAS PRICES ON US! CHECK IT OUT HERE:

THE ANTI LIBERAL ZONE
Problem is, Sunshine, the people of Oregon ARE the treehuggers, Defraudzio picked up 82% of the vote. I don't see much of a political sea change in that state without a massive influx of conservative settlers. Now that I think of it, settlers is the right word, it would be like cowboys and indians all over again only the indians wear designer spectacles and have ratty pony tails!
"…the collapse of philosophy and the growth of government power work together to entrench the Establish-
ment.
Rule by unofficially privileged private groups spreads a special kind of fear, like a slow poison injected into the culture. It is not fear of a specific ruler, but the unknown power of anonymous cliques, which grows into a
chronic fear of unknowable enemies.
Most people do not hold any firm convictions on fundamental issues; today, people are more confused and uncertain than ever — yet the system demands of them a heroic kind of integrity, which they do not possess:
they are destroyed by means of fundamental issues which they are unable to recognize in seemingly incon-
sequential concretes.
Many men are capable of dying on the barricades for a big issue, but small, unheralded, day-by-day surren-
ders. Few want to start trouble, make enemies, risk their position and, perhaps, their livelihood over such
issues as a colleague's objectionable abstract notions, or the independent attitude of a talented instructor.
A. Rand
Glenn Beck already has the solution to these kinds of things.
These perpetrators need to be exposed, publicly. Articles like this are fantastic. We can point our friends and family to these and they can see for themselves.
But we need more. We need videos. We need tweets. We need Facebook groups. We need letters to the editor in the local newspapers where this occurs.
And this applies everywhere this occurs.
The way to expose what these rats are doing is to shine the light full on their faces, and expose their shenanigans to the rest of the world.
Liberals love inclusiveness and embracing diversity in everything but their thinking.
Tests are used to punish students?
WTF?!
Uggh, what a photo! Obama looks like he's going in for a kiss!
Gee, why do schools punish the exercise of the right to defend one's self starting in Kindergarten and continuing on all the way through "school" called college?
Now, it very well could be true that a widget designed and built on "company" time does belong to the "company". This is true of the Big Mac……as the man who came up with got nothing for doing so. McDonald's sure did though, huh? While working in aircraft industry, I actually had to sign that I agreed to this very thing. Uncommon it is not.
However, that doesn't make it right.
Everywhere we look, government is taking over everything. Some could argue it took over everything, and everyone, long ago. I am one who will argue the latter. Hilariously, I get thumbed down from time to time for making that case, in certain instances, by folks snapping after finally starting to see it for themselves. Many think the Obama administration initiated this hostile takeover, but the reality is that his manufactured usurpation was fabricated to close the deal once and for all. Kagan and Sotomayor are key elements in that effort. Think about it folks, the Supreme Court decided ONE VOTE away from "amending" the Second Amendment right out of the Constitution.
If that doesn't wake people up, if Americans of all political stripes cannot even agree on something as fundamental and longstanding as the rights to keep bear arms, our Republic is all but dead already and as important as this foolishness at a university is, it is but a tiny fish in a very large ocean.
And we are straight up drowning in our own ignorance and inaction.
But, when they lose the cost of their defense and the settlement will all be paid by the taxpayers!
From the article:
"Obama said, schools should be judged on criteria other than student test performance, including attendance rate."
You know, just the same way he was judged on his senatorial career. He passed with flying colors just by voting "present."
Isn't it a coincidence that M. Obama's brother is the head basketball coach at OSU?

A remarkable lady, truly remarkable!
But our attacks must be concentrated and SUSTAINED, just like the lefts! Our problem is we have jobs to go to, families to support and nurture. They live with their grandmothers and sponge off Soros.
Good – then maybe those that voted for this crook will end up paying for it – literally.
Thanks Jane. One more reason to HATE union leaders.
The Robinsons will persevere. I don't know them neither have I ever met them. But you don't keep people like that down. It is not the PhD that is genius. It is the human who is genius.
OSU is a disgrace.
…The Hallowed Halls of Academia have become Slums and Sewers of Sinister Sycophantic Socialism……..
Most of these people sponging off Soros would understand the greatness of the free market in an instant if there were a Conservative "spooky dude" willing to bankroll such organizations.
Because surely the first thing they would do, as with any other business, is hire the "best" of the people currently working for the opposition.
Oh, the delicious irony…
This is the single most disgusting piece of academic black-listing I have ever encountered. They can't directly get at the father so they go after the children? They have no shame whatsoever, everything (except for any personal sacrifice for themselves) for the revolution. I've written to the University president and board and I encourage all of you too also.
OSU delenda est!
LOL! Fewer standardized tests and performance measured in other ways! Like what, participation? attendence? the ability to skip and twirl? What a joke this man is. Change all the parameters, like the cops in Ohio was it? and everybody passes! Then he leaves office crowing about how the graduation rate increased exponentially under his firm guidance. Jeez, the Zero makes me want to retch!
Depends on the requested compensation. The award does not have to be completely financial. They could require the removal of all staff involved and mandatory oversight for several years instead of just money.
No different than his comment about not wanting to punish a teenager with a baby!
IOW, no consequences (good or bad) for one's chosen actions.
Nothing but agreement from me, Ash! In fact, to follow part of your comment, I used to work for an engineering firm and one of my jobs was to come up with new ideas. I did that just long enough to say, Hey, hold on one second… and quit to be a private inventor. Never looked back and that was 25 years ago. If I could give you more thumbs up to replace those lost I would!
It's just democrats being democrats. It's the reason why democrat-dominated areas account for most crime in this country. It's the "what's mine is mine what's yours is mine" looter rapist punk mindset of the average democrat. It's the mindset which represents the majority of Oregon's populaton. It's just a fact that OSU will damage the Robinson kids and get away with it.
hi John,
Noblama would be in pretty good shape attendance wise………………..if it were based on his showing up at golf courses.
Yeah, there is that bright side to it, Ace and DCgirl.
By this logic, the flight crew of Air Force One should be replaced with some Chicago ghetto gangbangers that flew kites when they were seven.
Can we just give the libs Oregon and Washington. The rest can move there, go socialist. We can blow the bridges and passes. When they have had 0 population growth for a while we can just go get it back. They can be their own country, LUSA. Liberal United States of America. Or Looza for short.
Really? Is that the stance you would take, Flame, if they did this to you and yours? I didn't think so! Show me the money would be my rallying cry!
Oregon and their Progressivism, are a classic example of the term: "What could possibly go wrong."

wtf is with the deleting of this comment?
There was no profanity, attacking other posters, what?
Makes no sense.
Always the silver lining Nick…
BOOYAH! Quote of the day!
Rock on, cornpone!
They're democrats. What do you expect? Basic civility or humanity? BWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! A reminder: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRg9il_V328
Ugh! What an awful thought.
If all this is true, then Bethany Robinson has clear standing to sue the university under Title IX. From 20 USC 1681(a):
Note to socialist knuckleheads: OSU is clearly covered under Section 1687, to wit:
Not only that, pinheads, "receiving federal financial assistance" is as simple as admitting ONE student who gets federal financial aid. It's hard NOT to bump into a kid getting federal help at a state school.
Naturally, Title IX is not available to Jason Robinson thanks to his membership in an Oppressor Class. Perhaps the Due Process Clause, or state law, clause might be of help in his case?
Any lawsuits? Any FOIA requests? Any criminal charges? Hiddin collusion needs to be disected and a paper trail made. Connecting dots is usually tedious. We already know the foundation is deep in certain thinking, the psuedo-tolerance. This situation seems more than just a talk-about, it seems actionable. I hope it is. Anyone can utilize FOIA requests.
Not so much about the stance I may or may not take. Remember the father will again be running for public office and may not want to punish the taxpayers for the overt acts of progressives. Instead punish the perpetrators, hit them where it really hurts (their wallet/purse), and ensure his kids are not treated differently than any other student. That sends a better message than "show me the money!"
Their National Holiday is Halloween. For they love evil masked as good, and gladly call good evil. They think they're going to save the planet, and bring in a utopia, by any means they choose. So they'll lie cheat and steal, to hold back any conservative, or God fearing person. But all their doing is ushering in evil, and the anti-christ will be their leader. For they have rejected Jesus and his salvation, for they believe in mother earth.
This is really no different than the New Black Panthers with the club outside a polling station. This won't get investigated, either.
If this isn't an example of tyranny what the hell is?
The university is accredited and these actions violate the accreditation standards. Just as a college sports team will fire coaches over NCAA rules infractions so they may continue to compete, so too with firing academic staff who violate the rules to ensure the university retains it's accreditation. Without that accreditation, their degrees become worthless pieces of paper.
LOL, Happy Trails… Tp1234
I agree Harry, there was nothing bad about the post. Maybe they pulled it for copyright reasons?
OMG! There are just too many coincidences with this man and his family and circle of friends. Way too many!
Brother-in-law, but VEEERY interesting nonetheless!!
In a related story
WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama said Monday that students should take fewer standardized tests and school performance should be measured in other ways. Too much testing makes education boring for kids, he said.
"Too often what we have been doing is using these tests to punish students," the president told students and parents at a town hall hosted by the Univision Spanish-language television network at Bell Multicultural High School in Washington, D.C.
I will give you credit on the first part. When he runs and has won an award of cash from OSU the libtards will beat him over the head with it. However, if he sues individuals he should definately go for the money. These clowns wear sanctions and suspensions like awards for valor. They only understand real hardship when they have to pay up. Individuals won't be covered by the taxpayer.
Well there were two stories last week that I posted in threads only later to find each of them a few hours later in threads of their own. No thanks to me.
Maybe they are tired of being scooped by The Tuttle.
Attendance rate = federal taxpayers' $$$$$$$$$
federal taxpayers' $$$$$$$$$= federal rules decided by the executive branch.
Gee, why would Obama want attendance to the marker? Additionally, here in Illinois we have what is called the ISAT. Kids get no grade for the test, but the TEACHERS sure do……..
So worried about this test are teachers that normal rules are suspended entirely. Kids are encouraged to have snacks and even soda at their desks. We parents get told to make sure our kids are well rested and well fed and that we encourage them to do well on these ISATs. Teachers impress relentlessly on the kids how IMPORTANT this testing is.
It really is enough to make a person barf.
The American born white male is the most legislatively discriminated against entity on planet earth.
Ha Ha! There is that!
Craig Malcolm Robinson (born April 21, 1962) is an American college basketball coach and the current head men's basketball coach at Oregon State University. He was previously the head coach at Brown University. He was a star forward as a player at Princeton University in the early 1980s and a successful bond trader during the 1990s. He is the older brother of U.S. First Lady Michelle Robinson Obama, and the brother-in-law of U.S. President Barack Obama.
Pretty good racket isn't it Nick? Get taxpayers to fund R and D and the intellectual property even our founders toiled to protect is so easily snaked away under the guise of "education".
Thanks for the sentiment about thumbs, it is appreciated. When it comes down to it, its the substance that matters. That is what I like about BG the most. There are some very informed folks around these parts and what our founders envisioned for government actually exists here. Folks from all walks of life come together to freely exchange ideas, bringing with them their own experiences. It is my bet a good number of other folks have dealt with this same example that you and I share, and also that many more have been subjected to it without even realizing it.
Thanks for sharing that, Nick.
Like I said, it is not just about the money however we agree. The suit should include the university as an institution and everyone involved individually. They can go after the university with non-monetary sanctions including removal of all staff involved, completion of their school work, etc. They go after the individuals for the monetary compensation including lawyers fees. IOW ruin their careers whereby they might get hired by MediaMutters or some other SoreHoles front but will never be able to work for any educational institution that wants to keep their accreditation. While my initial response may have looked weak, I believe in asymmetric responses instead of business as usual.
Tru dat…
None of this will be investigated until Democrats are purged. They are the New Soviet…they are the enemy of freedom…they are the target of PURGE…damned democrats…damned communist AzzzzFeathers. Save America from the communist ButtPickles collapsing freedom and Americanism. Do it until it's done. Do it now…tonight and forever. America Rebirths or Dies under their jackBoots: you choose our fate. I choose Freedom.
Democrats must leave our soil for they are unWorthy of freedom.
It's only bullying if a non-Liberal does it. Sheesh, didn't you get the memo? /sarc
Hmmm. It does make me wonder. What if they assessed a fee to parents, as well as teachers, whose kids failed mid-term and final exams? Just imagine how much more parent/teacher involvement would take place.
I know, I know. You're a parent, and this is a "terrible" idea. But think about the parent who doesn't pay attention to their kids education. How much would that change if "failure" cost them money? Same with the teachers.
Of course, this is just "crazy talk." But I still wonder, if there was a financial benefit for parents who get involved in their kids education, would it make a difference? Maybe a property tax credit for parents who get involved with the schools.
It's tempting, and I'm saying this as a man born and raised in Oregon. I moved to California as Oregon was getting too liberal for my tastes. Okay, kidding. I found a job here.
Only problem with that is eventually policy hits head-first into reality, and it's not just the conservatives jumping ship, it's the liberals moving out taking their policies with them (after all, the state's fairly -couldn't- be a result of their policies, right?)
I'd rather stand up where I am and say 'no', then to be silent and move away. Eventually, there will be no place to go …
Sorry my secretary is a union employee so I only get about 10% of my messages
I live in WA. We are way behind CA, NY, NJ, MA, & IL on our road to socialism. The culture here and in OR is much more liberal/libertarian than liberal/socialist. Remember — we're descended from folks that got in covered wagons and came West to do as they pleased.
Plus the folks in eastern WA and OR would definitely take offense to be lumped together with the "McMansion, credit card millionaire, used to live in CA" liberals of the Seattle and Portland metro areas…
Wow, it's amazing how things said by the truly brilliant, like Rand, like our Founders, still resonate with so much Truth and meaning today.
That is how we know they speak the Truth.
Yes, that's the most difficult part. We're actually the productive.
I've said this before regarding other issues and I think it applies here:
We need to find out who among us may be retired or unemployed at the moment. Those can be our go-to people for such things. It might fluctuate and there may be turn over, but I think that's the best we can do.
That is one of the problems with education – it's not just the teachers, although that's a good portion of it.
It's also the parents. I'm just not sure how we get the parents involved without using the gov't in ways that perhaps were not intended by the Constitution.
Although I like your idea of Property Tax Credit – perhaps if we find ways to use more of a carrot than a stick approach.
Ever hear the saying, there is nothing new under the sun?
This is evidently a rerun we are living in…
.
Unfortunately, it requires money too and the left seems to be able to tap into it incredibly easily. You'd think they were capitalists!
Say, Dean, is that a horse head in your bed?
The Oregonians ARE the treehuggers. Particularly up there in PDX. This is a state that may be in slightly less debt than CA, but is running neck and neck for socialization.
What we are seeing here is a great example of what happens when grown-ups trade their belief in the Tooth Fairy for the Greater Good. Stealing academic work is not new, but it is one of the dirtiest things an academic can do. It needs to be exposed in the scientific world and be properly adjudicated.
I don't know if it the majority of the population. The areas outside the Willamette Valley and Bend–where the Colleges and Californians are–are still praying for a man in a white hat to come riding in. Reason has been overrun. Oregon was the scene of notorious politically motivated terrorism in the eighties when Ma Sheila Anan poisoned a salad bar in The Dalles. She was the talking head for the lovely religious cult referred to as the Rajneshees. Now we call them Democrats and they don't dress in all red, they are Red inside..
A little research will tell you that Oregon is not a place for anyone other than a liberal butt kisser to get an education.
Move far away and let the liberals have Oregon. It should be up at the auction table within a few years along with California.
Judging by "Barackets Hopsayin"" lack of testicular fortitude Michelle condones it in the bedroom!
Well, the Koch brothers have money!
;-D
But yes, they do get lots of money don't they? And we're supposed to believe it's "grassroots". HA!
As a home school mom, I have known about the Robinson family for years. They have an amazing and powerful story and will be supported by home school communities from coast to coast. Our prayers are with them.
OK. I think I just pissed my pants. Thanks for that laugh!
Very typical of liberals. These are the tactics of Nazi Germany, Communist Russia and China, any ideology that is against personal freedom. I've seen such things in California but not to such an extent. Liberals are just evil. Politics is their religion.
Yes, it's completely despicable. The Republican establishment in my county is mad at the grassroots for voting in some new board members. One of the former executive committee members is bullying me because one of my parents was elected (I'm a student). I won't pay as big a price as the Robinson children are because he's not as powerful as DeFazio, but if it's happening in our little town, it makes me wonder how much it's happening. And these are fellow Republicans.
Andrew Breitbart, when do we get Big Education?? We've never needed it more than now!
Art Robinson's political career may not be the only reason for this…his children have excelled beyond expectation without one single hour of public training in the public school system.
As a single parent (their mother passed away some years ago) Dr. Robinson has raised his children well. He has assembled and marketed one of the best collections of rare and wonderful books, developed a course of intensive reading that can be individualized for each kid, and he shows parents how to teach their children to learn on their own. This program is phenominal and is so outside of the 'public institution' style of teaching. I am surprised they have not come after him before.
To read his personal story and all of the things the Robinson family does to help truly educate young minds, check it out http://www.robinsoncurriculum.com
This commercial was not a paid advertisement…I have the Robinson Curriculum, and it breaks my heart that they are under attack like this. But, when you are in the lead, the animals come after you!
I wonder if there's a chance of pursuit under RICO, due to the systematic abuse of a group (the Robinsons)…?
RICO is an 800 pound gorilla that smart people do NOT want to mess with…
Couple the following…
This problem at OSU..
The pursuit of basketball hoops in Delaware by DelDOT…
The Administration, over "____" (fill in the blank with your favorite; current now is Libya and ARMING the insurgents)…
Add your quote, and shake well…
IF you are now not very, very uneasy, if not outright scared to death…you need medication for ADD…and attitude readjustment…
Tell ya what…give me a Property Tax Credit for homeschooling…
Watch how fast things change in the public schools…
ROTFLMAO…!!
Priceless…!!
Glad you liked it Mjolnir…
Time to show people the potential consequence's of "affirmative action".
Kinky…
I like it!
I agree that what was described is very unfair. I would hope that the family (or other concerned people) could pursue legal remedies for the wrong that appears to have been done. I don't agree that this all means there is some global liberal conspiracy – that's a huge stretch.
