Although he did not kick us out, he was the only employee in our nationwide ACORN child prostitution investigation who would not assist us.
For his leadership, superior ethics, unwavering integrity, compassion for young women, and for serving as a shining beacon of inspiration for his fellow ACORN employees, I am honored to present Felix Harris, program director at ACORN Housing, with the humble award of ACORN EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR.

Unreal. I am speechless…..how low have human beings sunk over the past years, though it really seems that ethics are increasingly plunging now. I hope ACORN gets what's coming to them, and they will when the pendulum swings back to conservative values.

I watched the video and I hope that was sarcasim because Felix here is saying he doesn't care if it's used for prostitution, the underage kid thing get's him a D- instead of an F on the ethical report card, he still fails.

I'm loving it!
From how I interpret the video with Felix, he does show some principles, especially when he refused point blank to have anything to do with young girls. On the other hand, he was happy to look the other way with regard to getting a loan to set up a bordello (ok so I am using the old name for a baudy house).
Now the thing is that Felix played it the right way. He interprets his job as running a class in order to help people get their loans. He did not offer them advice on how to run their business, or even how to lie on tax forms etc. So in that respect he was very much doing the right thing.
Well what do ya know? An Acorn employee showing some moral fortitude. And in the City of Angels, no less. Perhaps there is some hope for my home state afterall…

OK, I'll go out on a limb and defend Mr. Harris. Perhaps he was not as eloquent as he could have been, but what I understood by "that's not my buisness" is that any of the people attending his class could be doing any sort of illegal activity out of their home, but his job is not to catch criminals but to provide housing loan information to any who ask. When you presented yourself as pro and boy friend he took a rather libertarian view and said "what you want to do is your business," but once you brought up the issue of the underage girls he let it be clear he would do nothing to help oppress and abuse others
As I said before, the ideal of ACORN housing assistance, and the efforts of many of their employees, is noble: to help educate the disadvantaged on how they can better secure their financial future through home ownership. The biggest problem is that it seems to be run by unethical folks who have no scruples and just want to use it to suck government money into their pockets, and that mentality permates to all levels. In many ways, these videos are more an indictment against the "I gotta get paid" mentality that festers in the government-dependent world as it is of any specific organization.
