Chaos for Glory: My Time With ACORN

If you make them live by their own rules, you destroy them.” Impossible demands can irritate modern leftists in ways nothing else can, whether it’s by banning Lucky Charms cereal because it’s racist against Irish people, calling Planned Parenthood saying you want to donate money for black abortions in the name of Margaret Sanger, or making Sen. Snowe sign an oversized bailout check for a billion dollars to Amtrak, in her own office.

The scenario we posed the ACORN Housing employees in Baltimore is due to the application of similar power tactics. We gave ACORN a taste of its own medicine. ACORN was alleged to be thug-like, criminal, and nefarious. This criminal behavior was evidenced by a video of Baltimore ACORN community organizers breaking the locks on foreclosed homes. Instead of railing against their radicalism, it is best to bring out this type of radicalism. Hannah Giles and I took advantage of ACORN’s regard for thug criminality by posing the most ridiculous criminal scenario we could think of and seeing if they would comply–which they did without hesitation.
Additionally, instead of focusing on foreclosure itself, which has become seemingly as politicized as abortion, we focused on crimes more difficult for the left to defend: trafficking of young helpless girls and tax evasion. The first group represents the severely disadvantaged, the second a threat to the distribution of wealth.
While manipulation or entrapment occurs when people are encouraged to do things they otherwise wouldn’t, the pre-set trap is their own. These tactics allow the viewer to see ACORN’s soul; their playing field and their morality, out in the open. Their system is based on conflict and change for its own sake. This system is based on totalitarian principles and class war techniques. These people understand pressure, power and self-interest. When the Baltimore employees saw we were shady dealers, their instincts clicked in, as we were prime recruits.
ACORN has ascended. They elect our politicians and receive billions in tax money. Their world is a revolutionary, socialistic, atheistic world, where all means are justifiable. And they create chaos, again, for it’s own sake. It is time for us to be studying and applying their tactics, many of which are ideologically neutral. It is time, as Hannah said as we walked out of the ACORN facility, for conservative activists to “create chaos for glory.”

Since it's easy to splice and change the meaning of what people say, I'd have to see the whole video without doctoring to be sure that you guys are making it all up. Seems unlikely to me.

The national hdqt for Acorn says that this is a "false portrayal" and that this filming was tried at other locations. If this was tried at other locations (and I'm not saying it wasn't) then it would make sense the national hdqt would have put the other Acorn housing outlets on notice.

Interestingly enough, neither Tanja Thompson or an employee named "Shira" are now or have ever been employed by this ACORN branch. And there is no other ACORN Housing branch in Baltimore. I think it's obvious that James and Hannah weren't the only actors in this film. It seems the other two ladies were paid actors as well.

The ACORN workers act like they are "seasoned professionals" when it comes to helping clients break federal law. This just isn't a one time incident or an isolated occurance. This is just the first time they've got caught.

Our Congress voted to give these people money to operate on. Money we paid in our taxes. These people will be in charge of the 2010 census. As another poster has said its nice to see some actual real journalism. My only complaint is that I wish this undercover operation could have been done throughout the country at numerous ACORN locations. So that (and we all know its coming) they can't say that it was just a few untrained, bad apples working for them..that they don't represent ACORN's philosophy nor their working practices and that they did this on their own accord and it is behavior that is not condoned. If there had been numerous videos from different locations there would have been no way ACORN could have denied that this is their standard operating procedures.

Someone called into Rush and said the only person that would get arrested because of the video would be the cameraman because shooting videos without the person's permission is against the law in MD.
According to the full transcript, Tanya starts out following her usual tax advice procedure of identifying deductions and exemptions, like any tax adviser you might find sitting in a booth in the mall. She doesn't seem to catch on that James and Hanna are discussing prostitution until they practically rub her nose in it. At that point, Tanya seems to think she is talking to incredibly stupid white folks. Or else, she is afraid of pimps and wants to play along in order to avoid trouble.
Tanya has nothing obvious to gain/lose from playing along with the idiocy of her new clients. Maybe, she thinks that when she gets their full names, address, phone number and social security numbers, she can turn them in to the IRS and get a reward. Surely ACORN is a big fan of the IRS, especially when it is going after white folks.
I have tried to post this on facebook repeatedly and everytime there is a mysterious "error". Even typing in this websites name to post just that…."error", yeah right!!
James should have continued to ratchet up the scenario. But, he quit too soon. He should have flat out asked Tanya whether she might want to make a personal investment in their enterprise.
Tanya should have been suspicious when James kept "upping the ante" by adding more and more outrageous details to the scenario. But, she seems oblivious. You would have to conclude that Tanya felt totally safe and invulnerable. Therefore, the possibility she was being scammed never crossed her mind. One wonders why she felt so invulnerable. Obviously, this is the first time anyone ever took the fight directly to ACORN. They were caught completely off guard.
I don't think there is anything in the transcript to indicate that Tanya has ever done a tax return for a prostitute before. She is obviously "winging it." The sad thing is that she never reached the breaking point, where she would simply throw them out of her office. For this she could be considered incredibly stupid, or opportunistically indulgent. Maybe Tanya was humoring them, hoping to get their social security numbers (or even their last names and addresses and phone numbers). She encourages them to call or send email, which, of course, would give away their identities.
One wonders what Tanya would have done if James had given his alleged full name, address, and SSN. Maybe she would have turned them in to the police. We will never know, because James did not get the evidence we need in order to put Tanya in jail. He quit too soon.
As for Shira, she is just a pathetic old woman. She says her children are both over thirty. She seems to be trying to be the friendly, welcoming, non-threatening receptionist. She's been told to put people at ease, no matter what their circumstances. She's such a sucker that she even compares Hanna's situation to the childhood of her own "sweet" 31 year old daughter. (One wonders what sort of hell Shira's "sweet" daughter grew up in.)
In any case, Shira seems to have a strangely earnest bond with an upscale white girl she has never met before. You can imagine that Shira spends her lonely moments agonizing over the horrors of her own daughter's childhood. Perhaps Shira knows what it is like to have a pimp running the household. I guess she can empathize.

Why wasn't this investigation conducted nation wise so there would be no denying that this is how Acorn operates? I have been there and seen real life situations that would shock most people and they were true.

But, the court dismissed the case because there was no time limit on the laws decided and was court ordered not to bring this back to the courts. But that is one court order I would be willing to go to jail for to end the issues and to get the people back together and move on. The problem I had is that I was only one vote and those who knew I was doing it backed me, but would not come forward and say that they want their right to vote on these issues and to end them at the national level.
It is the citizen's right under the "Checks and Balance" system of the United States Constitution to call for this vote when the citizen's disagree with what the government has done, it is just that it has never been done, so the people do not know that it is legal to call for this vote and the government don't want the people to know it either. After reading the full posted transcript, here’s what is most striking and tragic as I see it:
It appears the women (ACORN employees) actually believe they are doing something noble (e.g. helping victims of discrimination and not being judgmental).
Notice one woman voluntarily reduces her fee for tax return assistance (i.e, from 150 to 50 dollars, as relates to her “evening job”).
We need a whole lot more than Health Care reform to improve our society, if we are producing people who don’t appear to even stop and think about the irony (dare I say hypocrisy?) in aiding an abetting child prostitution and slavery (ala human trafficking) if that might get in the way of providing taxpayer funded help to someone who has ostensibly been discriminated against when applying for a housing loan.
My question is this: How many other people in our land have come to the place where they apparently hold in such high esteem the below listed four “values” so as to overshadow personal responsibility to even speak a word against stated plans to use 14 and 15 year old girls (most likely trafficked slaves) to increase profits for a 19 year old prostitute as she seeks to achieve her goal of running a brothel?
When reading the transcript, I get the impression the values below provide motivation to action for the two ACORN employees – who were apparently OK with choosing these values even if it involved keeping silent about, and even providing help for the apparent kinder and gentler pimp and the would-be madam.
– Very Important Values which apparently eclipse other values (see below) :
1) Help someone who claims to have been discriminated against,
2) Avoid “judging anyone”,
3) Suggest the importance of Education.
4) Always be proud of who you are.
5) Get a better place (instead of the boat) for the 19 year old girl to earn her living and realize her dream.
Not so Important Values, or at least not if they get in the way of above :
1) Help prevent 14 and 15 year old girls from being forced to work as prostitutes.

If she is a CPA, she should, under all statutes and codes of ethics that CPAs have to live by, loose her CPA designation. Unfortunately, it doesn't take a CPA to give the "tax" advice she gave to the "prostitute". It merely requires a person who understands the basics of the tax code for their "audience". For example, someone who has worked in a CPA firm as a "write-up" or "accountant" would understand the rudimentary issues of being a "Sole-Proprietor". Such as having to file a Schedule C (an attachment to the 1040) and having to have a code (Business Code) for the business for which the Schedule C pertained to. In addition, a person who has worked in a CPA firm as a "write-up" or "accountant" would also know that claiming 13 dependents (no matter how old the filer) would raise a red flag. However, no rudimentary "accountant" would know the ins and outs of what could be deducted on the Schedule C as legitimate business expenses – i.e. certain clothing and beauty items. If this person is not a CPA, then she was trained by one. And, I will bet, that given the circumstances, she was trained by an ACORN employee. Otherwise, I believe, she would have taken her talents elsewhere and be earning a legitimate living.
This reminds of the two UCLA students a couple of years ago that went to several Planned Parenthood offices in different states and filmed the advice they received. The girl played an under-aged teen who was pregnant by a 30+ year old “boyfriend”. In addition to providing immediate counseling to get an abortion, they helped concoct a story about the boyfriend being a teenager, too to avoid charges for statutory rape. State laws REQUIRED Planned parenthood to report the “boyfriend” – but he was never turned in. Same results in every Planned Parenthood office.
Liberals screamed “fake”, and “set-up”, and claimed the video was edited, etc. I recall that the authorities in Indiana actually took legal action against the office there after a state investigation proved the undercover story was accurate.

The problem with your James is that you don't clarify, nor do you explain in detail that you went to 20 other Acorn establishments, and you were debunked. It was a numbers game to you, trying to find the weakest people to prey on. The video shows that the Acorn associates may have been in the wrong. However, you are also playing Gotcha Journalism in an economic area that is less educated, most likely doesn't have full resources. What is clear is that the ex-Acorn employees DID try to provide advice, but did not tell you to do anything.
This would be more news if this was actually filmed & your Gotcha Journalism was done in places like New York, or Boston, or any places with a higher level economic stature. You obviously wouldn't come close to even walking in the door with such a story.
What you need to do is be more clear in your facts. Hannah Giles stated on the Glenn Beck show on how she came up with the idea. Hannah Giles clearly stated "I saw Acorn & I said I don't like them" — Are you serious? This is the kinds of stuff that just doesn't make sense. Gotcha Journalism is fine, but why not have the full data set and the full details. You were thrown out of all the other Acorn establishments. I agree this is outrageous!!! And I live in Baltimore. Truth: Fox News is the only TV network reporting on what Obama is trying to do.
Truth: NBC, ABC, CBS, MSMBC, CNN are not going to report the truth about Obama’s administration, ACORN, etc.
Truth: Unless we can force the main stream media to report what is transpiring in this administration, we are in trouble. We may have won the Van Jones fight but Obama has many less controversial to take his place.
Truth: It is time to do whatever is necessary to get the truth out to the public that has the wool pulled over their eyes!
I believe it is the time for action and I have a plan that need supporters. I am interested in methods by which we as citizens can force the main stream media towards truth and fairness in reporting on the current Obama administrations Czars, policies and agenda. We cannot change anything with petitions to the White House or any other Washington group (This includes our elected officials that seem to be on our side but also seem to be powerless or scared to bring about change). It is time for aggressive meaningful actions to bring the networks to their knees. The networks only understand dollars and the huge support from the left that drive them to do the lefts bidding.
Liberal organized groups are convincing sponsors of the conservative media shows to pull their support and advertising of these shows. This is a tactic that can be utilized in our favor to drive change towards fairness in the liberal media. The truth cannot win any battle against the left agenda without at least a fair shake in complete unbiased news reporting on all networks. Let me state this in another manner. Unless we can get the attention of the main stream media, we will only win small battles but will lose the war!!!! Obama won the election based on the main stream media’s “slobbering love affair” with Obama”!
I have attempted to start a campaign to get their attention with defined actions. The actions are simple as follows:
Research all liberal networks, specific liberal shows and make a list of those sponsors that advertise and fund the networks (I have a seven page list as stated below).
Organize a boycott of all those products of those advertisers (this will be difficult because I buy at least 50% of these products and will have to change the way I shop)!
Send letters and petitions to the sponsors so they will know it is happening and so they can evaluate the impact. Request they put pressure on the networks to report what is happening.
Get the conservative media (includes You, Internet like MRC and Worldnet) to promote the efforts.
Keep the pressure up as long as necessary.
It is clear that organizations like ACORN and other organizations have found strength in unity and extortion. Conservatives need to unite in a clear moral imperative to drive change in media reporting before there is no free press at all. (AKA Mark Lloyd and his bid to back door a Fairness Doctrine on steroids!)
This has already worked before. When David Letterman made his crude joke about Sarah Palin’s daughter, he did not apologize until many viewers took offense and called Letterman’s advertiser Embassy Suites and staged a boycott. Embassy Suites responded by pulling their support and advertising on Letterman and CBS forced him to apologize! What a powerful lesson!
I have a seven page listing (will send if you give me a means) of ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN prime time listings of sponsors and products. I do not have the “ear” of many people. Your organization does. I need your help in getting this started and if you have contacts in the industries of conservative blogs or other media like MRC or others that can get this organized, we might have a chance to turn this to our favor. We can draft form letters to the networks and sponsors to make it easy (need your power in readership and website). If we had the power you and other conservative websites, we could make this national. This must be a national “event” for the right effect. Will you help?

The most convincing evidence comes from the mouth of the accused. You had better be thankful that someone is left to go out there and report. Those that tried to fight this movement of Liberal Lies and Bias, were ostracized. One thing I have noticed consistently, those who badmouth conservative media outlets, don't listen to them on a daily basis or even for a consistent short basis. Your criticism is based on the innuendo you hear from those who would wish to cause chaos to promote change. Change they don't even comprehend the outcome of.
