The Leftist Bullies
by John M. O'HaraWe live in seriously challenging times – times that warrant serious conversations on the state and direction of our nation. From the fiscal crash course our nation is on to the ever-present threat we face from Islamic terrorism, there’s plenty of fodder for constructive political discourse. Many on the Left, however, are bent on marginalizing opposing views by any means necessary. The censorship and number fudging exposed in ClimateGate is one recent example.

The tea party movement seems to perpetually be in the crosshairs of the Left’s most insidious propaganda artists. A post on taxpayer subsidized NPR’s blog that’s getting some attention this week features a video by Mark Fiore entitled “Learn to Speak Tea Bag.” The cartoon gives mock step-by-step instructions on what Fiore believes is the modus operandi of tea party activists. Fiore unintentionally serves up a nearly all-inclusive package on all that is dishonest and malicious about the Left’s continued campaign to discredit this wildly popular grassroots force.
Fiore’s isn’t the first and likely won’t be the last tea party hit job. Everyone from the President to “mainstream” media commentators have joined in since the movement’s inception in February 2009. This multifaceted attack on the tea party movement has revealed an interesting trend that mirrors the evolving tactics of a maladjusted, intellectual deficient schoolboy bully.
Kindergarten: Don’t like what someone has to say? Call them stupid! A central theme of Fiore’s video is that those that make up the movement are uneducated. I’ve collectively seen hundreds of thousands of attendees at the various tea party events I’ve been to. While degrees aren’t required for admittance, I think it is safe to say that there are a few smart folks in this large, popular movement. Furthermore, how Fiore and others can simultaneously deride the movement as dumb yet high-tech GOP “Astroturf” is beyond me.
While Fiore mockingly encourages viewers to “learn to speak tea bag,” he could use some lessons on the English language. His presumably self-penned biography contains a glaring redundancy: “[Fiore]…creates political animation from an undisclosed location somewhere in San Francisco.” [Emphasis added] As Michelle Malkin recently wrote, obscure cartoonists like Fiore aren’t the only ones trying to tally IQs. In a piece that reads at best as a backhanded compliment to the movement’s influence, David Brooks of the New York Times recently juxtaposed the tea party movement with…Democrats? No! He contrasted them with the educated class. Ah! The Left’s agenda is not only inherently progressive, but intellectually informed and fact based!
High School: When the pesky protestors just won’t go away, make a sex joke and call them gay! Fiore invokes “tea bag,” a reference to “teabagging,” a sexual act invoked to mock the tea party movement – an implicitly homoerotic joke. This is a staple in the Left’s anti-tea party propaganda campaign lexicon. (See other slurs from Anderson Cooper, Rachel Maddow, and Keith Olbermann, to name a few.)
College: If simple name calling just won’t work, it’s time to break out the big guns – something politically charged and completely unfounded that just sucks the air out of the room. Drop the racism card! This is a very common (and very effective) tactic invoked by intellectually frustrated leftist students, aging hippy professors, and university administrators on campuses across the country. Chris Matthews isn’t the first to invoke it, but he recently revived this move in a double whammy sexual/racist slur.
Graduate School: When the racist card gets old, it’s time to get to undermine the foundation of the issue at hand. Fudge the facts! Fiore isn’t the only one guilty of this of course, but his video has one real whopper. In it, he implies that tea party activists are being dishonest about the health care debate because many Republicans have received money from health care industries. This is a great trick. For one, it implies a necessary link between the movement and the GOP – a fallacy. While the principles of the tea party movement – fiscal conservatism, individual responsibility, limited government – are more often than not going to be advanced by the Republican Party, there is no intrinsic link. For example, at the event I ran on tax day 2009 in Chicago, Michael Steele was publicly turned down as a speaker. (Not surprisingly, this received little press coverage and certainly wasn’t weighed as hard evidence of the movement’s nonpartisanship.)
Nor is there a responsibility of all tea party activists to answer for the political contributions of a handful of Republicans. It is, of course, fair game to dig into the political contributions of politicians opposing and pushing ObamaCare. Sure, many Republicans have and will continue to receive money from “special interest groups” including those related to the health care industry.
So do Democrats, though. In fact, Barack Obama received more money from health industry lobbyists than any presidential candidate in history. Not only did he receive more than his opponent John McCain, but more than George W. Bush in both of his campaigns combined.
Does this impact President Obama’s allies’ votes or closed-door House-Senate reconciliation for a final ObamaCare bill? How about the President’s policy stances? What about his decision to renege on his promise to televise health care debates and to instead hold closed-door meetings with these very same special interests in the West Wing? (For more “odd alliances” exposed, see my review of Tim Carney’s Obamanomics.)
Dropout: When none of these more “cerebral” attempts work, many on the Left drop the attempt at any semblance of reasonable discourse and turn to threats. Tea party activists regularly receive threatening emails and phone calls. Others are at the receiving end of actual violence. Take Kenneth Gladney, who had racial slurs, fists, and feet hurled upon him by SEIU thugs at a tea party protest.
While these transparent attempts to undermine this movement are frustrating, I encourage my tea party compatriots to take heart and stick to the high road. These superficial tactics and inaccurate claims will lose their effectiveness in the long-run. As with the bullies you may have encountered in the buses and hallways of your school years, these attacks reveal deep emotional and intellectual voids in the hearts and minds of those that perpetrate them. Finally, if your mere involvement in the political process is triggering this much vitriol from politicians and members of the media big and small, you’ve got to be doing something right.

Who CARES what the Dems or Lefts say…..Talk is CHEAP.
Crucify them all…… I got the WOOD…..you supply the NAILS
Mark Fiore is a total dumb a ss…Has he ever been to a 'tea party'?? Maybe we should change the name to Patriot Party…it would take a real low life to call patriots names…I'm sure that Chris Matthews would find a way, though!! They just have NO IDEA of how serious we are…maybe it's time to show them!!
well said!
I contend we should NOT crucify them. It is much MUCH more horrible for them to be tossed out of power in the next set of elections, then patted on the head when they start to make noise and told to shut up. Put them off to the side as sad little children who can never sit at the grown up table again and watch them have melt-downs! Think of the entertainment! heheheheheh
"… names don't hurt" comes to mind BUT what about letting them have a dose of their own medicine? Stoop to their level or go a step lower, don't worry about saving face folks. They are banking on it, they want you to think "Im not going to bring myself down to their level, let 'em say those things I know better", and is why they have gotten away with this bullying! So ok you saved face greaaat, you still just got whipped by someone who had nothing left but insults and redirect!
STOP and play your game through Saving the Republic

like the bully on the playground…stand up to them or punch them in the nose and they'll stop….
I like the Patriot Party tag…sounds good to me….
Do I smell grant money for the furtherance of the "arts" to Fiore from the NEA? Hmmmm. Don't bet against it.
Childish name calling and temper tantrums is all the Left is really good at. We need to start sending the Leftist brats a wake up call in 2010 and 2012 by getting them out of power.
I do despise a bully, it's infuriating. Especially the Gladney incident, that kind of thing really sets my blood to boiling. Never could stomach a gang of punks.
I agree that NPR cast only themselves as foolish, or particularly the author of the cartoon. I also agree that I'd rather watch a loony Dem twist in the wind through a concession speech than about any other thing, oh boy my favorite!
the libs aren't used to us fighting back, and they're now starting to show signs of cracking. i actually had a liberal acquaintance threaten to report me to my employer for 'dicking around on facebook on company time and property' as i skewered her sacred cow of socialized medicine. i just about fell over from laughing so hard at her.
It is a typical leftist trick to accuse people who have different views than theirs of hate speech and racism. Yet appearently they are not bound by the same standards. When you have 'news anchors' and even politicians calling Tea Partiers that vulgal epithet they show what true hypocrites they are. Anyone who uses that term has no right to call anyone a racist or polotically incorrest.__Quite simply they are fighting words…
The left and its metrosexual minions are complete tards. Cant compete with real americans so they have to make
themselves feel important which is what this is all about.
Very good John, All the above mentioned folksand many more have invested everything into Obama and now they see it falling apart . So in desperation they resort to these tactics. Must really sting when you realize you've been duped by the one you were waiting for.
How did we get here?
Democrats, and lets face it, most politicians, will try to dance around the issues and avoid answering questions directly, or will divert the topic somehow onto something else. Just review Robert Gibbs answers about the C-Span letter and Obamas promises. He would never answer directly, tap dance about not seeing the letter, then push on, looking for another question to get off the topic. The MSNBC educated idiots routinely deride conservatives about their views and delve into immature name calling to keep the true issues out of the light. The one thing they can't fight against is the TRUTH. When faced with undeniable facts they have nothing to say. When THEIR OWN WORDS are used against them, they can't run. Fight with the truth, facts, and use their own words against them.
This article pretty well summarizes how the statists suppress their enemies. First, pander with sophistry. If that doesn't work, marginalize your opponents. If that doesn't work, use ad hominem attacks. If all else fails, resort to physical violence. Rinse, wash, repeat. It has been an effective method especially when the elites use their propaganda arms of academia and the MSM to spread their message and inculcate the next generation of elites with the same "progressive" (i.e. socialist) garbage.
However, in my view the end game of the statists in suppressing their opponents is not a socialist nation. Rather, the socialist nation is an intermediate step of pure political plunder that will lead to chaos (a la Cloward-Piven) and allow the elites to usurp almost all power from the people, as I outline here: http://socialistsatthegate.blogspot.com/2010/01/s...
I applaud the article. Truer words were never penned nor spoken. The disturbing trend that I am seeing is that Tea Party movement members of, shall we say questionable educational backgrounds, are engaged in this same behavior. It is hardly limited to the left.
For reasons which I am at a loss to explain, it has come in to vogue to stake out a position, regardless of it's irrationality, and then contrive pseudo-logic to attempt to justify it after the fact. I have serious doubts that these "bullies" will ever go away, or learn from their behavior. Fifty years of life experience has shown me that this type will always be among us. It is why intellectuals argue for eugenics and why the "common man" resents the intellectuals. Unfortunately, the middle ground between these two ludicrous extremes seems to be shrinking at an astronomical rate, and that is where the answers are. It doesn't look good.
You took the words and thought right out of my mind and in fact Bill O'Reilly mentioned he didn't like NPR spending OUR money on crap like this!!!
The Conservative Edge
In process Dave, you can bet on it!!!
The Conservative Edge
The real unpleasant surprise is coming the Lefts way in 2010 and 2012. They believe that their methods are so powerful that they can move mountains when in fact they are the ignorant ones. Just because they are louder, more crass, belligerent, and supposedly so educated, they think that we are just going to roll over and die…The sleeping giant is awake and the Ledt is going to be taken to task like never before. People can be bullied only so long before they strike back…especially when the people being bullied realize they are not alone.
Excellent article Mr. O'Hara! It hits the nail on the head.
I agree totally the name should be changed.
1) the parties of today are not conducted within the same spirit as the original Boson Tea Party, something I wrote about and got hammered on after delivering some tough love to BG readers few days ago http://biggovernment.com/2010/01/04/for-tea-parti... The parties are nothing compared to the original so its really not genuine to use… sorry I know many of you hate hearing it again but its the truth
2) tea parties as I understood it mean/meant Taxed Enough Already, this has got lost in the msg and whats going on is bigger than just taxing issues.
3) This is most important of my points selecting a more patriotic name will take away any ability from the other side to attack, they have a field day right now over "teabagging" etc. You remove this option they once again have nothing to say. Chris Mathews, Olberman, Maddow and the rest of the fringe bias media will lose material overnight.
Renaming Tea Party to the Patriot Party makes more sense and I for one cannot think of any derogatory slang associated with Patriot. To make it easier for many of you dealing with this pain look at it from 1991 angle. We had Operation Desert Shield while preparing in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia then when time came to throw down with the Iraqi Military the operation became Desert Storm. So "we" have been preparing for 2010 elections so you had your Tea Parties, now its time to throw down so "we" must become the Patriot Party!
If your in then give me a thumbs up on the right there
!
Your playing their game… STOP and play your game through Saving the Republic
I know this has been reitterated before, but the Lefts arguments are all emotion and no substance. When you shine a light on that, they have no recourse but to lash out either with words or fists. Anyone with a shred of common sense and a basic knowledge of history knows that their Socialist policies do no work. But once that Utopia is built in their minds, there is no tearing it down.
Victory at any cost only works if the conditions for victory are clearly defined. I don't believe that is the case at this point. Why sully yourself for an agenda that has yet to be defined?
Let me add also to what kcboomer said that the truth will set us free. The problem is that going back to the early 20th century (and as libertarians will argue even back to the days of Lincoln), politicians began usurping liberty, hammering away at the Constitution through legislation and the judiciary. They have at least a 100 year advantage on us in terms of radicalizing the populace, from the very start with public schooling through the university system.
Not only do we need to have better ideas, but we need to package and market them better and FAST. Given the long head start of the lefties, it seems to me that we face two choices of either fighting a long hard battle to first stem the tide of progressivism and then reverse it, or allowing progressivism to accelerate and push us head first into the abyss, so that when the wheels come off the productive people and the lovers of liberty will be able to emerge from the darkness and renew the greatness of this nation with the antidotes to what ails our society.
is N(no) P(person) R(represented) allowed to take a stand one way or the other
considering the receive tax money to be on the air?
They believe that their name branding of 'that vulgar epithet' is so clever, when in fact it shows their small minded childishness to any thinking man…it will only work with other small minded people and I don't believe that the idiots are the majority of this country yet. We are working on pretty hard though.
The left are the only one that are bullies??? LMAO.. There is hate there , but the right is just as vile. Too many think politics is a religion and the hate comes flying and the truth no longer matters.
Since the 2008 primary, I've been astonished at the fascist bullying from the left. Being a progressive–or at least I thought I was progressive–I couldn't imagine the incredible misogyny, blatant racism, and outright fascism that I witnessed during and since the campaign. I learned a great deal during the primary, not the least of which is that rank hypocrisy isn't limited to the Republican Party, but is alive and well in the Democratic Party too. And, the shockingly rude discourse from people like Tom Delay during the Bush terms, has now become a hallmark of those on the left who so railed against it on the right. Keith Olbermann, do you hear me? You have become the lefty Tom Delay. It's really ugly to watch, but I've moved on from the "party" concept these days. I haven't registered at Tea Party Nation yet; but I just might do so if the lefty's keep up their fascist bullying, and continue their hate-speech against Americans who believe in their First Amendment rights to dissent. Shame on the Democrats and their "palace guard" sycophants in the media, who are behaving like bullies on the playground. See you, wouldn't want to be you!
1991 Operation Desert Shield became Op. Desert Storm when time came to "throw down"
2009 we had Tea Party getting the message out and preparing ppl
2010 its time to "throw down"… Patriot Party
I have been saying this for ages!!!! Tea party was a beginning but The Patriot Party carries a lot of weight.
By trying desperately to mind our own business and just enjoy life. While that was going on, Satan's minions ruined good education, took over the judges' benches, crapped up the culture, divided people into hyphenated groups and gave fisting lessons to the nation as a whole.
Time to get to work.
The person the Democrats call president is a dirty bag of wind. Full of empty rhetoric and lies, spewed over the populace like spittle from the lips of a madman.
ne who maintains the political or social equality of men–it has lost that meaning long ago.
The Democratic leadership(?), selfish yet spineless cockroaches with their hard shell of indifference to the wants of the populace. Deep in the dark recesses they spawn their evil plans for the degrading of our lives.
The Democrat tag-a-longs (media and cheering masses) empty headed robotrons singing the umm, umm, umm chorus like the bit players in a poorly made B rate movie.
The power brokers behind the scenes sit like flabby bloated buddha's, rubbing their empty tummies calling for more blood from the peasants.
Perhaps I should call them Liberals instead of Democrats which in its original meaning is not a bad thing.
Democrat used to mean
Oh, he!l I'll just call them SLIME!

Change the brand name of the Tea Party to the
Green-Tea-Party movement…
Leftists are rarely vets. Like Clinton, they hate the military. Their idea of service is a 6 figure a yr job in the State Department. Futher, most libs need their butts kicked……………..often. JCH
The left wing crackpots don't have enough clout to be bullies. No one listens to or cares what they think.Totally powerless and meaningless
me too…
Two word response to this fallacy filled article: Karl Rove
The chaos of a sinking ship that is on fire, when the rats have taken most of the life boats.
The problem with that approach, though I agree philosophically with it, is that it is IMPOSSIBLE to discredit a leftist. They NEVER go away.
Just look at the assknuckles like Ehrlich and Holdren and Schneider and Oppenheimer who went around screaming about the coming Ice Age in the 1970's and we had to institute a totalitarian governmental system to ward it off. Those precise same assknuckles are parading around today calling for totalitarianism to ward off global warming. And noone seems to be willing to shout them down and shut them up.
The fact that Al Gore was able to emerge as a spokesman for global warming after (1) claiming to invent the internet and (2) attempting to steal a presidential election should tell you that no accomodation can be made with these people. Jimmy Carter won a Nobel Prize, for Chrissake – the guy is the father of Khomeinist Iran and the North Korean nuclear bomb.
I find it deliciously ironic that Anderson Cooper used the Tea Bagger epithet against the Tea Party patriots. That dude has taken more balls on the chin than a major league catcher. Keith Olbermann, too. LOL.
"Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel." That's what they'll do to you if you call it the Patriot Party.
I don't think that you should insult those born mentally handicapped by lumping in those who CHOOSE to not think for themselves though…. heheheheheheh
Well I meant it tongue in cheek really. I fully realize that they never go away and never shut up even when proven wrong over and over. Sometimes I just like to have a laugh though….
"teabagging" was first used by Griff Jenkins from the socialist Fox News Channel.
Later on by Krauthammer.
Wow, I just discovered this site. What a bunch of crybabies. boohoohoo. this big bad leftists are bullying me. make them stop.
grow a pair, losers!
Was the cartoon funded by the NEA?
Do you even know the difference between \”truth\” and fact?
FB from MD?
I walked away from the tea and 912, even though I still support my friends who are still involved. It doesn't matter what you call it, the moment it becomes partisan it to will be destroyed.
As though this isn't the stock in trade of biggovernment posters. Have a look at the "childish name calling" directed on a daily basis at Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, et al.
If you shorten Patriot to Pat or Riot you can go from there. My bet is that they use the "riot" part. If the left can find a way to mock/attack/ridicule people expressing their Right to Freedom of Speech, they will find a way.
You're right on the mark, Mr. O'Hara. I attended the Tea Party in RIchmond, Virginia, last April; and there was more intelligence and public spiritedness concentrated in the crowd of 5,000 than in most of the American college faculties combined. The speakers used lucid language and called things by their right names. The contrast with leftist claptrap and the arid intellectuality of liberal academia was refreshing. We mind it very much that the republic has been placed in peril by the practices and policies of a corrupt political class that includes Democrats and Republicans alike. We will hold together, we will resist, and we will win.
of course you're right, but.. that is exactly what we have at the federal level. they're like a bunch of jackals.
Not me, sorry.
the question is do you?
You and the republicans need people like me. That is a fact!
You spread your hate for people like me. that is a fact!
I want my freedom back and the republicans like you stole it and that is a fact!
The truth no longer matters to you, as shown by your question and that is a fact.
That is your reality and thus your facts.
I want freedom and that is the the truth.
As with any bully, they are frequently the minority in society desperately striving for recognition.

This would be laughable if not for the fact that you actually believe it. You can't even answer a simple question without throwing a tantrum. Lame.
Thank you for proving my point..
There are few things more sacred to a republic than representation. The one man one vote and all it’s citizens are represented equally promise. Why isn’t voter fraud hounded out of existence? Voter fraud is a direct assault on our republic, it can kill a nation. There is nothing more fraudulent than gerrymandering and it’s creation of an artificial majority based on party affiliation not representation to silence the dissention of we the people. It is one of the reason our congress does not listen to we the people. Gerrymandering is a creation of the government parties to protect their power and to turn representation into re-election.. The parties can not speak of freedom until districts are based on representation not party affiliation.
No need. The leftists only bully the old, weak and helpless, like biting off an old man's finger at a Tea Party rally and them running away like a little sissy. I can assure you that any lefitst bullying that I encounter will be met with overwhelming "self defense." I look forward to that but so far I haven't found the left wing up to the challenge. Bunch of quiche-eating ACLU effeminate types usually. Twirl their beanies and they wet their panties and go home crying for their mommies.
There are no real men or women on the left. Just a bunch of government dependent pussies whining about how unfair life is and how they are owed something by the rest of the world. Pathetic.
A good friend of mine told me that the way to put fear into someone is to put him in touch with his/her mortality. Make them see or feel how vulnerable they are. The best way I found was intimidation through implied threat. Most if not all bullies are cowards , needing just the right impetus to 'nudge' them into compliance. The biggest bullies we face today are agents of the US Government, police, and other officious-acting morons whose sole purpose in life is to cow or enforce coperation through intimidation and implied threat. Know your rights and never, ever back down from these people as it makes them stronger. Turnabout is fair play, and fun if you know how.
*yawn
That is trouble with you republicans/democrats you close your minds to the demands of we the people and particular those who you see as only worthy to clean your toilets.
The report button is on the Right. Fitting isn’t it.. The reply button is on the left… if your nose is in the air the negative thumb is on the RIGHT. Fitting once again. And this one is for you
The fringe.. The all and powerful Republican Lindsey Graham called those who seek freedom in his party , “fringe”, I think I have heard those words before from some democrats. Too bad he was just re-elected by 58% of the vote.. Too bad the republican party is full of grahams and they have all the power and money..
Even though I battle republicans here it is to show them the light that the party doesn’t want your answers. Show all the grahams across this country that freedom and your vote comes with a price.
Register unaffiliated and fight back for they will not listen until they are forced.
They can’t win without party members and as long as you stay a republican they will always call you fringe and laugh. and win.
The Tea Party movement has so many first time political activists that it can't be comprehended by the Left. Sincerity drives the Left crazy. There must be a Big Business ulterior motive in order to fit their internal mental narrative. No one is as smart as they are, and they are much too busy saving the planet/Earth/country/humanity, to actually discuss issues. It's a real time-saver to dismiss someone with a contemptuous sneer and then call them a racist/Nazi/moron because they challenge your position. That sound you here is the Left's worldview pushing against reality inside their skulls. A lot of pain in there. Expect the behavior of a wounded badger until the pressure inside their skulls is relieved.
Yes. Let's do keep an eye on that one! I'd say -even money if I was a betting man.
You people liveanother planet. I have attended 4 so-called Tea Parties and each was the same. A bunch of loud-mouthed whiners yelling about everything and everyone not an idea among them for how to improve anything at all. And God forbid you show that you're not in sympathy with them because if you do you get scremed at and threatened with violence. If you want to talk bullies, Tea Partiers rank among the worst. Thank goodness I will be able to look back in a few years and chuckle about you blithering idiots.
Nice post, John. But there is a larger lesson here. The proper reaction to this sort of thing is to come up with OUR OWN parody and satire. Some already exists, but not enough, and most importantly, satire from the right tends to be too timid. We're not sufficiently venomous.
I know some of you are saying, "Let's not be dragged down to their level." But this isn't a game. It's a matter of mass communication. The world desperately needs movies that parody the left and Islamic extremism – and I'm not talking about An American Carol. That movie flopped because it wasn't funny, which is the same as saying there wasn't enough truth and pain in it.
Yeah, i keep hearing about how the Tea Party supports people like Palin, which coudn't be more untrue. But it shows how they (Chris Matthews and his ilk) try to stigmatize, lie, deceive, and propagandize in order to create a false reality that is effectively true because a significant number of people swallow it.
But it is also true that since the founding of the Tea Party movement, many have tried to usurp it and steer it and co-opt it for their own ends.
Mark Fiore is still pissed that a bunch of nerds gave him an atomic wedgie in first grade and caused him years of mental anguish. His video screams of a man's tortured soul at having his chonies pulled up over his head so everyone could see the skid marks.

nah. slash her tires.
just joking.
Kool heads have to prevail, but if we have to come down to their level, some of us are pepared to make the French revolution look like a church picnic. Time will tell.
Add the Republicans and conservatives to that list, and I'll bring the nails and pay you for the wood.
If ever any of your liberal friends ever ask you if you are a "tea bagger" just tell them to open wide and they'll find out.
Understand bullying in one form or another is one of the oldest con games of cowards around. Remember they shoul; so shout louder and longer.
I bet you would be surprised that bullying in that form is employed in busines all the time.
Ha ha ha, Ho ho ho. You're a laugh riot.
See above.
What if you're a woman?
Tea Partiers need to remain steadfast in the goal to return to the basic principals of America. Every day, the MSM discredits itself by their negative representation of issues that conservatives embrace. The left will continue to make fun of us at their own peril.
What if the tea party Patriots decide to do recalls of those who have voted for injecting every American with a healthcare plan by filling up syringefulls of secret ingredients that will infect us all with lifetimes of taxes, fees, fines and mandates? Why should those legislators stay in their seats for another whole year to be able to brew up more vile concoctions for us?
We're going to get them OUT. And we're going to turn this country around.
All leftist; liberal and socialist agendas need bullying to stay in power i.e. Russia. China. North Korea and Cuba
"not an idea among them for how to improve anything at all"
Boy, you really, REALLY don't get it, do you? Christ, liberals are special-needs kids.
There was a distinction in the types of crowds that assembled in D.C. twice last year. The latter wanted a hand in the running of their government, the former wanted a government handout. Kinda says it all, doesn't it?
I actually like the "Patriot Party" name
It doesn't matter what they say. Next November we cast our votes, they'll speak much louder than words. Today you can see the rats deserting the sinking ship (Dodd and Dorgan), but as Charles Krauthammer so astutely observed, "They're tied to the mast" after voting for health care. There will be blood on the floor in congress.
I got a newsletter from the Tea Party yesterday. They're not interested in forming aa official third party or sponsoring candidates. I registered as Independent 6 years ago, I believe my belief at that time has come true. Neither D or R can count on their party base for re-election anymore, we have the power. Congress is finally being held accountable. We mistakenly believed the empty suit and now regret it, but it's quite clear by the polls we won't be fooled this badly again.
So am I acting like a "bully" but pasting this link in here?
http://washingtonindependent.com/73036/n-word-sig...
Sometimes, the truth is a bully.
We have the votes. The real crying will be on the floor of congress in November. Steve
I am proud to be a Tea Partier. Also, I can safely say that both my wife and I are not only more educated than this Leftist dimwit, we are also more intelligent. The two do not always go hand in hand, as evidenced by our current POTUS and his elitist Ivy League cronies, none of whom could successfully manage a fast-food restaurant.
I guess you were one of the loud mouth whining without and idea people you are talking about, since you attended
look- you either support democracy and all its ugly arguments and disagreements OR-
you support "crucifying the leftists" (and throwing away democracy).
So which is it?
so show us. Tea baggers have done nothing so far, except get PR from rightwing media like Fox, . They stand for nothing positive: idiot America. Change the name to Patriot party =kiss of death.
is this somehow metaphorical or is the bible-time's favorite past-time making a big comeback?
did you see this guy there?

Sticks and stones will break your bones and thats where it will end up when the intimidation fails under the Iron fist of Lord Obama.
I find it ironic that the intellecutal left use a bunch of drunken fat bullies that can barely string a sentence together to make their "point".
Their ideas are so wonderful and compassionate that it takes the threat of or actual physical violence to get people to "agree"
All those rally's and only one sign?
Lame
This tactic has been used as long as I can remember. Nothing new.
I don't believe anything I said was at variance with a democratic ideal. I'm not in favor of stopping Al Gore or John Holdren from voting, for example. I just don't believe in letting them spout lies and idiocy unchallenged. For example, Gore should bring out the kind of protests that, say, David Duke would bring out when he speaks.
That's a form of crucifixion, at least in the public-relations sense.
