Tea Party Leaders See Movement Becoming a Potent Force
by John LoudonAs the Tea Party movement approaches its first “birthday”, the leadership is taking it to new levels. The metamorphosis, which has been deliciously organic, has seen it go from street protests, to active demonstrations to serious political action. All along the way, Big Media and Big Political Parties have failed to truly grasp what it is all about. As Missouri lawmaker, Chris Kelly once famously said to another during Floor debate, “I can explain it to you, but I cannot understand it for you”.

At the end of the month, Richard Viguerie — legendary conservative activist, direct response fundraising pioneer, and currently chairman of ConservativeHQ.com — will deliver the keynote speech at the inaugural Leadership Tea Party training event to be held at the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport Westin Hotel. In addition to Mr. Viguerie’s keynote speech delivered on Friday night January 29, the event will consist of 11 sessions of grassroots leadership training over 14 hours on Saturday and Sunday, January 30-31. Mr. Viguerie’s speech is free and open to both the press and the public, though a limited number of seats are available. (You can request a ticket online here .)
Viguerie, who was hired by William F. Buckley Jr. in 1962 as the director of Young Americans for Freedom, worked for the Goldwater campaign in 1964, pioneered the direct response fund raising techniques that financed the 1980 election of Ronald Reagan, and has been a key leader in the movement for limited government for decades. Tea Party activists of varying levels of political experience, most rigorously eschewing party labels, are hungry to learn the tactics to win on the political battlefield. Like latter day militia men, the Tea Party activists have seen the whites of the eyes of the red coats reds, and they are trading their microsoft office suite applications for html and eblogger and are training in the dark political arts for the battle that will shape their Country for the sake of their children.
The Nationwide Tea Party Coalition is by design, a loose, informal collaborative federation of thirty local tea party leaders from around the country who meet quarterly to discuss strategic and tactical issues. Ken Emanuelson, one of the leaders of the Dallas Tea Party, which is one of the local tea parties that form the Nationwide Tea Party Coalition, is the spokesperson of the inaugural Leadership Tea Party event.
Featured instructors and panelists at the event will include Michael Patrick Leahy, author of Rules for Conservative Radicals, Eric Odom, founder of the American Liberty Alliance, and Bill Hennessy, author of Zen Conservatism and co-founder of the St. Louis Tea Party. A link to the full roster of the speakers and additional details can be found here.
So the Tea Party movement is here to stay. And politicians take note. It is not about Republicans or Democrats or starting third parties. As Emanuelson explains. “The mainstream media has gotten the Tea Party Movement wrong. It’s not about the various national organizations, or even purported national leaders. It’s about the thousands of local tea party organizations that are loosely collaborating to return limited Constitutional Government, free markets, and fiscal responsibility to the United States“. So the Party that delivers candidates that meet those standards will reap the rewards of a massive pool of well-trained new recruits. If you cannot understand that, well, we cannot understand it for you.

I hope the tea partiers are out in full force in Mass. as the dems are sending in seiu. We need troops on the ground there to head off and keep an eye on these whackos.
"All along the way, Big Media and Big Political Parties have failed to truly grasp what it is all about."
If the Tea Party can be kept pure, kept organic, and not be hijacked or corrupted by a host of industrious politicians, there will be hope.
It is great that Big Media does not get it. WE can continually blindside them………….
When you have Comrades Clinton,Obama, Shumer calling us that vulgar '
The Lame stream media, politicians, and Chris Matthews don't want to "get it" because they would have to admit it is ethically a constitutionally righteous cause taken up by good people in defense of their country, and they don't want to be held accountable.
If we're Teabaggers, does that not make them the Teabaggees?
.
Seriously, can we not find a better way of saying this? It’s degrading. & it’s the leftist way to degrade citizens in a way that is ‘catchy’. How about American Citizens? The American People, there’s a good one.
Consider the big items for the globalists – they fit in to two groups:
Group A: Massive immigration, no borders, North American Union (and eventual one world government), centralized government
Group B: Free Trade (even if it means open borders, mass immigration, loss of sovereignty), support for Israel (even if it means job loss or terrorism against Americans or a more overbearing government (Patriot Act) )
All of these mean a destruction of the America that you know
Now, the neocon pied-pipers work on getting you to accept Group B above because it serves their globalist goals.
This is why neocons are more your enemy than "liberals" are.
Conservatives or whatever you want to call real Americans put AMERICA FIRST and reject all of the above.
I have removed your blindfold.
OBAMA IS PERFECT EXAMPLE WHY AMERICA WANTS A "NATURAL BORN CITIZEN" FOR PRESIDENT!
It is Obama that is pushing for leniency and mercy for his "TERRORIST MUSLIM BROTHERS" Barack Obama, right before the eyes of all Americans, is setting the perfect example of why the Founding Fathers wanted a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN with a strong allegiance to the United States of America by having a mother and father who both were U.S. citizens, for president! This clown as president and "COMMANDER in CHIEF" does not know which country he is supposed to be devoted too! He is conflicted! America can not have a president and Commander in Chief that is militarily conflicted…he can't recognize who the enemy is!
Barack Obama is THE threat to the National Security of the United States of America
Barack Obama is the ILLEGAL President of the United States of America
I'm getting emails that the tea party will be out in force and supporting Mr Brown in Massachusetts and in fact I sent them a small donation to help further our cause!!! Every little bit helps!
Hannah Giles Story
"If you cannot understand that, well, we cannot understand it for you."
This is where one derives the belief that those who follow a George Soros vision for America have checked sanity at birth.
Blindfold off.
Now let's throw Big Union "leadership" under the bus. Public employees do not need unions. And we don't need middle men to tell us that they do.
Teaparty Movement- Truly Grassroots- This is what the msm, libs and their allies hate about this movement, because they hate us and everything we stand for. The True Grassroots of this country…..
We need to change the name to the 'Patriot Party'!!! I'm sick of the msm calling us AMERICANS 'teabaggers'…it's NOT about republicans or democrats! We don't care what party you are with…we are just for FREEDOM & JUSTICE !!
Ha ha ha…thanks. Actually the truth has removed all blindfolds(but you can take credit if you want)………
It's over !
We (the people) wil not be duped, will not be played, will not be bribed, will not be shamed, will not be tyrannized, will not back down and will not tire.
Quite simply the Liberty Party would be fine. I know it's a concept never dicussed these days, but it is the crux of the bond across tea partiers. I feel Patriot-rooted words have a militaristic and nazi-nationalistic tinge post 9-11 and should be avoided. Freedom was ruined by freedom fries. Liberty is still available as a message and as a brand. It has been temporarily hijacked in the most Orwelian manner by "liberals" standing for the liberty of gov't action, not individuals, but since they can't pretend to stand for its true meaning we should take it back. The bonus is we steal their identity as "liberal" gradually resumes correct usage in our political discourse.
To mock any form of Liberty would mock themselves.
There should be freedom to organize. The problem comes from the government bestowing benefits and special status to them.
The Tea Party has taught my sons ages 27, 21, and 19 what their father and I have been telling them for years…a few people CAN make a difference.
I was so stoked about the tea party. I even spoke and a several thousand person event. Now I am sad to say it has been either hijacked or sold out to the Republicans. When will WE THE PEOPLE learn that Republicans AND Democrats are two sides of the same evil coin Heads they win tails WE THE PEOPLE lose.
If I may make a recommendation; The Constitution party in my opinion is the only hope for AMERICA.
Yeah, I have too. I think the hitch is that a lot of tea party people are not those sorts that go out and actively campaign for people. I am trying to get over that.
in the article here:
"It’s about the thousands of local tea party organizations that are loosely collaborating to return limited Constitutional Government, free markets, and fiscal responsibility to the United States"
That is very well put. Now they are trying (and I generally think it is a smart idea) to get these people to group together for a national effort and are being … trained and workshopped? A very small red flag goes up for me. I know we need to learn how to be effective, but I have such disdain for politicians and their hangers on that the thought of getting involved makes me want to go for a hot shower.
It's being used as a marketing tool for both the Dems who don't like it and the Republicans who have stolen the Freedom loving idea to take back control of the American turf. I for 1 am tired of both the welfare and warfare parties.
How about “We the People” instead of Tea Party. They will still use teabaggers, but “We the People” sounds awesome.
We already have the CONSTITUTION PARTY! Isn't the CONSTITUTION what this is all about?
I like to hear a politician or somebody from the media call us names, it says more about them than it does about
you.
Just put them on the list.
I had a reply that got lost… but you are wrong. Fox failed conservative and liberty minded ideals as badly as MSM. The following two must leave
Bill O
Sean H
If you can't put the message out yourself, it is put out for you. These two in particular are going to put it out with their own twist and they were both monumentally asleep at the wheel post 9-11. Without their willing resignations or silence, the Tea Party will be the Necons in sheep's clothing to everyone who is not already engaged.
Walter Williams and Laura Ingraham would both do Tea Partiers very well to have shows. Beck must also assume Greta's timeslot.
Well said. What do you think the odds are on it not being hijacked? There seems to be a rush to support for candidates we barely know. I hope that if those that are supported by tea partiers fail to adhere to the principles that we will collectively hold their feet to the fire and if that does not work, work to find a replacement.
Sometimes I see existing politicians trying to glom on to tea party groups and I cannot decide whether I think they are the normal, sycophantic, perma-grin, smarmy poltician or someone who really wants change and sees the tea party people as comrads in arms.
The Constitution Party is worse than a joke and a look at their platform would send most screaming, as they run away from it. And then there are some of the "top guns" in it. These are NOT the people we, nor the FFs would approve of, ever.
People need to stop pushing fringe parties forward, as the answer for those right of center; it's a certain way to insure that Dems will win every single election…………….in perpetuity !
Yes, but we're talking about branding. Too many feel that word means "old fuddy duddy". Sorry but kids need to know liberty is not fuddy duddy. Liberty is rock and roll, breaking of chains. Everyone can throw out BS about 3/5ths a man this and that with Constituion in your name, making you immediately seem antiquated, regardless of their ignorance.
There's a massive ;problem with Viguerie being added to the mix!
He supports the lunatic Ron Paul, he talked smack against Ronald Reagan when he was president and still does, and he tends to take credit for things he was never responsible for. Red flashing lights should go off, in everyone's head, the minute they see this man's name !
The “Tea Party,” is alive and well, and needs to change the Republican party from within, do not form a third party or we’ll get Perot’d. The trick is to remain vigilant after the election into 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, and so forth.
That salad tossing weasel Chucky Schumer called Scott Brown a right wing teabagger, I’d say Mr. Brown’s first order of business in the Senate should be to throttle that anti-American jerk Schumer.
It's only the left who says teabagger, it's a reflection on them.
Let them yell it from the roof tops.
Who is it gonna hurt?
Agreed. Republicans ruined republicanism and want a new name. They, and all their media mouthpieces must be shunned or asked to step aside. There a few genuinely liberty-minded repubs with voting records to prove it, but we're talking no toes needed to count them numbers. None of the rest should be allowed to speak at Tea Party events nor should they be encouraged to argue on the Tea Party's behalf against libs so they can boost their ratings. If they cover an event, they should be reporters and simply ask questions.
In the crime of raping america, the neocon-type repubs are accomplaces. They held her down and watched eagerly.
Stan, I couldn't agree more.
"I have sworn upon the altar of God, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man."
- Thomas Jefferson
LOL! Ron Paul is a "lunatic" – sure sign of a neocon who thinks wasting American blood and treasure for pointless wars America has no interest in is a GOOD thing. Usually a sure sign of a "dual citizen" sleeper agent from Israel, too.
The two major parties are to entrenched to oust. What we need to do is change BOTH the parties from the inside. This includes the Democrats. I live in the south and in one of the few states that require a balanced budget in our state constitution. Our population is poor and largely Democrat but fiscally conservative. The Tea Party needs these people to exert influence within the Democrat party also. The Republican party can be brought around. The challenge will be the Democrats. The country got this way because both parties were living on the left to greater or leeser degrees. To turn this country around we need BOTH parties to start to " out conservative " each other.
Ron Paul IS an idiot and his patently ridiculous positions on foreign policy matters are even worse than those of most of the Dems, with whom he sides quite a lot.
Paul is the Dennis Kucinich ( perhaps even worse ) of the GOP; though he is a damned RINO, running under the GOP banner and accepting money from a party he hates, because hed could NEVER win any election as a Libertarian, no matter how many times he ran as one.
we have identified the enemy and we must "defeat" them…
FIFY
I`m extremely leery of "existing politicians" ,I hav`nt seen any of them pounding on the table in the chamber to plainly call out the actions of this congress and then walk out. the person that doesn`t want the job, but feels the need to run is probably the best bet-not many of those are standing up – yet. that said, first order of business is to stop this hijacking of the country and that may require voting for someone simply to deny the seat to a known enemy.
I like the sound of the "FOUNDING FATHERS PARTY" It would help remind people of our Constitutional origins.
I hope the President and any one else going to stump for Coakley are met with disdain and lots of boos, but as usual they will have the a fixed audience of SEIU, ACORN and The Working Family to make it look like they and their ideaology is popular. If everyone donates either through the Tea Party site or directly to the conservative politicians we can collect $$$ to compete with the scum funds the criminal politicians collect.
All of you libs have my permission to keep call me names; tea bagger, astro-turf, and all the other socialist insults. All the while; I love watching you sweat bullets as you walk the plank. Judging from where you stand right now, I suggest you start holding your breath.
The hand writing is on the wall and the Hard-Left has been found Wanting.
\”that said, first order of business is to stop this hijacking of the country and that may require voting for someone simply to deny the seat to a known enemy.\”
Agreed. It is a quandry. I held my nose and voted for McCain. I think McCain does not see the difference between name calling and calling people out. I think he has been in DC so long that he misreads the electorate and misunderstands the issues and the impact on the every man. Maybe that is a good reason for term limits. Among others.
Isn't there some anti-Israel site you can spend time at? All your posts are the same damn thing over and over…we got it, no need to keep repeating yourself.
TEA party = No incumbents
I wasn't aware that Fox News was a subsidiary of the Tea Party or any other movement, or beholden to conservatives. Pushing an ideology — any ideology — is not a legitimate function of news media. That's where the networks, NY Times, Washington Post, et al, went so badly off track. Do you really want to advocate destruction of individual liberty, so long as it's destroyed in "our" direction?
Good luck with the protests!
Hopefully you will continue to kick out guys like this…

Stan,
I sure agree with you. Schumer is nothing but a high hatted Hebe. Some decent Gentile needs to slap the slobber out of his whiney ass.
How about "KEG PARTY"?
Most everyone would like that one……
PLEASE DEFEND MICHAEL BEHENNA AN AMERICAN HERO .http://defendmichael.wordpress.com/
Yep…again.
"So the Party that delivers candidates that meet those standards will reap the rewards of a massive pool of well-trained new recruits"
And there you have it! A clear definition of what the Tea Party movement is all about.
Republicans broke faith with their base and have paid a high price for that betrayal, unfortunately, so have we all. Democrats misread that dissatisfaction as meaning that their Marxist ideology was in ascendancy. Nothing could be less true.
Republicans still harbor RINO's in their ranks, we all know who they are, that we have not yet been able to purge and continue to make the same mistake they made in NY-23. The GOP can be the biggest beneficiary of the Tea Party movement but they must understand that if they go with business as usual, ignoring the message, they will see Tea Party challengers emerge, as is the case in VA-5 right now.
So, what's it to be? Will it be Tea worthy candidates in '10 or do we wind up with more blue dog Dem's profiting from a three way race? Time to choose!
Right now the Tea Party is a coalition of patriots who are sick and tired of libs, rinos, marxsists and facists in this governement. They are the force that will support conservative and moderate people who run for government. From what I read and listened to, I don't think they want to become "a third party". That would be counterproductive.
As with any large organization, they will try to be infiltrated "by the enemy" and corrupted from within. Thats why if any of you have concerns such as with Richard Viquerie, you should not hesitate to write to some of the leaders of the Tea Party. I'm sure they are overwhelmed with the workload of organizing and probably won't mind constructive suggestions and ideas. Who knew this movement would grow to such gargantuan proportions.
The Libturds have SEIU, Black Panthers, Code Pink thugs etc….we have good, honest, hard working people that will help us elect the future of this country. This is only the beginning and maybe in the future the name will change but right now no matter what the cockraoches on the left call us, the name has power.
Sticks and stones may hurt my bones, but names will never hurt me. What's in a name? Don't worry, we are American citizens, we are The People that is all we care about. Forget the Uberfascists name calling, means nothing…ignore, ignore, ignore, ignore!!!!!!
So totally agree!! Let's also let the RINO know it's over for them too!!!! After we take Mass…
Mass citizens need to call their local sheriff's station and alert them about the THUGS from SEIU, ACORN. Also, Mass needs its citizens to make sure the voter rolls do NOT include Mickey Mouse, Minnie, dead people, babies and nonexistent people. Then we have a real chance of winning!!!
stang289…who is michael behanna and why? I don't go to links I don't know.
sue go to michael savages website on the right of the page and if you want you can donate or just read about him , another hero doing his job now is in prison thanks to our stupid government , i understand about not opening links either ,

Massive private political funding = private control over public elections.
Equal public funding for all political movements would ensure equality for all ideas.
If the U.S. can finance trillion dollar wars, it can easily finance political races every four years with public money that already belongs to the voter (taxes).
But equal public funding represents too great a threat to the corporatocracy’s control of the staus quo. This is why media talking heads always spin financial funding as valid political expression and not the control of wealthy private interests over the common public.
This should be the effort of the right and left, so both sides can achieve the goal they are searching for, take the country back from the corporatist!!! This would be a Tea Party both sides could celebrate!!!
Pure and Organic??? With groups like, Freedom Works and Americans for Prosperity,
Despite these attempts to make the “movement” appear organic, the principle organizers of the local events are actually the lobbyist-run think tanks Americans for Prosperity and Freedom Works. The two groups are heavily staffed and well funded, and providing all the logistical and public relations work necessary for planning coast-to-coast protests:
– Freedom Works staffers coordinate conference calls among protesters, contacting conservative activists to give them “sign ideas, sample press releases, and a map of events around the country.”
– Freedom Works staffers apparently moved to “take over” the planning of local events in Florida.
– Freedom Works provides how-to guides for delivering a “clear message” to the public and media.
– Freedom Works has several domain addresses — some of them made to look like they were set up by amateurs — to promote the protests.
– Americans for Prosperity is writing press releases and planning the events in New Jersey, Arizona, New Hampshire, Missouri, Kansas, and several other states.
This type of corporate ‘astroturfing‘ is nothing new to either organization. While working to promote Social Security privatization, Freedom Works was caught planting one of its operatives as a “single mom” to ask questions to President Bush in a town hall on the subject. Last year, the Wall Street Journal exposed Freedom Works for similarly building “amateur-looking” websites to promote the lobbying interests of Dick Armey, the former Republican Majority Leader who now leads Freedom Works and is a lobbyist for the firm DLA Piper.
Americans for Prosperity is run by Tim Phillips, who was Ralph Reed’s former partner in the lobbying firm Century Strategies. The group is funded by Koch family foundations — a family whose wealth is derived from the oil industry. Indeed Americans for Prosperity has coordinated pro-drilling ‘grassroots‘ events around the country.
Oh ya, I almost forgot, Sarah Palin fetches 100,000 dollars to speak at these grass roots events, what did she do pass a hat?????
and some 39 year olds like my oldest refuse to listen and think odumbo is the best thing since sliced bread and is doing a great job. Last time I spoke with him he told me to quit watching so much Fox News….I am disgusted with him to say the least….
How much does Algore fetch? Or Bill Clinton?
At least the light skinned Negro Gore has quit fetching coffee for Slick Willie.
He has gone on to carry water for George Soros.
Lots of lumps please.
NOT very p.c.
And Dem's family pets: You heard about the cat — as in "kitty cat" — summoned for jury duty in Mass?
Excellent points! As much as I hate to admit it, a third party will guarantee wins for the Democrats. Republicans need to change to reflect the views of those who believe in the Tea Party or leave the party, so we are left with a Republican Party that is truly conservative and a real alternative to the Democrats.
If we oust most of the Dems in 2010 and 2012, perhaps that party will start moving more to the center and right also. Our biggest challenge is those who rely on the nanny state and have no stake in the success of our country as a nation. They don't pay taxes and consider anyone who routinely works for what they want and takes care of themselves the "evil rich". (I am not referring to those who lost jobs and were laid off due to our terrible economy). These people will vote based only on what is promised to them as "free" and who will be most likely to make it so that they are not responsible for anything that requires sacrifice, planning, organization, or delaying gratification. The Dems are working hard to expand this constituency, and the economy they are ruining is helping them.
Proglodyte liberals suck!!
Schumer will get his; the people of NY will see the way Brown catapulted past Jokely and not be afraid of SCREWmer.
It will be great to see him in an apron, slicing some beef brisket in his deli!
"Hey Screwmer! Get your finger off the scale….putz."
Breaking news:
"Tea Party Nation To Rhode Island Members: Cross Border For Brown This Weekend"
http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2010/01/tea-pa...
This is GREAT STUFF! The unity amongst Americans is almost breathtaking!
Our Tea Party members in FL have donated to Brown on MoneyBomb Day!
(I swear I'm not pimpin' the website above — I'm a member of Treasure Coast Tea Party in Florida!)
ACORN Mass conservatives, vote regular and often.
God no… please leave Beck where he is… I like watching him right after work… I don't want to have wait until the next day…
Whatever we call ourselves, they will come up with some kind of derogatory name. It's all they have. I agree. Ignore them.
TOGA! TOGA! TOGA!
(Sorry, couldn't resist).
On the nail, as always CL!
The Tea Party people are all about throwing the bums out. They (we) will not be anyone's puppet and have gone out of the way to keep a distance from the string pullers.
Spoken like a true necon lacky
Don't worry about names…
TEA, (Taxed Enough Already), Movement is just fine…
As far as the name calling, they would just figure out something new…so, leave them the name, send them the fear…
2010 is here…do not distract yourselves with MSM minutiae…
Yeah. Winning neocon lackey…
Want our votes…support our issues…or be irrelevant, I don't particularly care which you choose, because the people are speaking…
Good luck with that…
The Tea Party movement is indeed here to stay, and has been vital in calling attention to troubles we have. However, the movement in America is much deeper that folks realize. Larger than the political discontent and activity we see in the Tea Party movement, the complimentary but unique 9/12 Project is evidence of Americans going back to the very core prinicples and values that built and sustained the nation. That movement is far deeper than electing certain people of addressing specific issues. Its about the very heart and soul of American life, based on freedom, faith, and trust. The 912'ers are realizing that is the ultimate source of American greatness and that once we return to that, the politics will fall right in line. That's why Glenn Beck sees this movement as generational. It took 100 years to get to where we are now, and it will take another 100 to get us back.
Are you STILL on that…?
"You can't fix stupid…"
Remember…
The TEA Movement is a weapon against the statist and profiteer alike…
WE are the votes candidates need to get elected, without US, they CANNOT make it over the finish line…and as is being seen now, they cannot STAY in office without our support…that is POLITICAL POWER that cannot be bought or parlayed with…it is the FORCE the Founding Fathers placed into our hands…
WE have no center, no nucleus to attack, IF we play it smart; like water, we are soft and shapeless, but we can move mountains over time…the statists can screech "teabagger" until they are blue in the face…but in the long run, those who don't run with the flow of water usually drown in it…
Even be suspicious of the "organizers" within the movement…what makes TEA work is its ability to react against domination…if the views and goals work for you, fine, but don't let someone for purposes of their own co-opt you, like the Republicans and the RNC…they must follow where WE lead them, not the other way around, as it should be…
When WE support a candidate of conservative philosophy and by-pass the RNC, the RNC is forced each time it happens to confront its "Republican in Name Only, at all costs" position. Scozzafava was just the beginning…Snowe, Collins, and the rest are going to have to confront it as well…Snowe ESPECIALLY has to have the check come due for allowing the health-care measure to proceed in the first place…
The second part is just as important…
We need to wrest the control of the State Legislatures away from the statists and profiteers, and for the exact reasons we must wrest it from the Congress and the Administration…to force the states to aggressively stand upon the Tenth Amendment to the US Constitution, and assert their rights against the encroachment of Federal powers…
Texas is doing just that, and is weathering the assault better than the rest of us…every time a state stares down Washington and its bribe money, and tells them to "shove", power flows away from the iniquity of Washington DC, and finds its way back to the people, the citizens to whom it truly belongs to…
No she doesn't and she said that she turned down the proffered stipend that was offered to her at the Tea Party she is speaking at, which IIRC is the ONLY such event that she will be appearing at, in person !
And she gets a much higher stipend for talking in public, to other groups.
Some times you get what you pay for. Palin is worth what she earns, what about Alex Rodriguez? $27 million per year and a batting average of 30.5%. Palin knocks it out of the "Park" every speach.
The Tea Party movement also needs to notice that only Democrats have bowed to their leadership with bribes and favors. Though both parties have problems the Democrats are going to pay big for their treatment of the Consitution.
That comment is great.
Agreed. Requiring that the President be a natural born citizen was the "strong check" against foreign influence in our nation's leadership. John Jay wrote this letter to George Washington at the time of the Constitutional Convention in 1787:
"Permit me to hint, whether it would be wise and seasonable to provide a strong check to the admission of Foreigners into the administration of our national Government; and to declare expressly that the Commander in Chief of the American army shall not be given to nor devolve on, any but a natural born Citizen."
For me, the Tea Party movement is a state of mind all about core, personal, fundamental values that I hold dearMost of the values that make up my "Tea Party" state mind are shared by a whole lot of other people. I know that because I've seen values of nearly all those people expressed on the signs they carry for the four Tea Parties that I've attended. Three of those rallies included between a couple thousand and ten or so thousand folks at each. ______The biggest demonstration I attended was DC on 9/12.______I don't know the names of any of those people at any of those rallies, and I don't really care about that. They are out there raising hell for mostly the same reasons I am, and the enemy of my enemy is my friend.______If a few of the folks out there have signs for some issue that I'm not totally behind, so what. That's their right and I respect it, and will stand by them for expressing it, I'm sure they feel the same way, too, because we are after all facing down the very same tinpot tyrants who haven't a clue what any of us are all about.____continued . . .
. . . continued
My "Tea Party State of Mind" also leads me to write letters and email to my representatives, and also call them pretty, just to let them know I'm still around, and getting madder and madder. I also contribute money to candidates and efforts that I believe share the core values that I want defended and advanced strongly.____I just want to know when we are going to set a date to show up in DC, plop our butts down on the steps of the Capitol, and not leave until our grievances are heard and addressed with the respect due every single citizen of this great country. Just set the date, and then let's roll!!!
When the goons call us names, it means we are being noticed,
and making some sort of impact that they want to squash or
silence…Keep standing up to these jerks, we're getting to them.

When his life starts to go down the toilet because of his 'great leader' then and only then will he understand…keep trying though, you never know what you will say that will sink in…
Okay, just WHO are you calling a "neo-con" and please define exactly what you imagine that term to mean, because I doubt that you have any idea what it does refer to.
Misusing that therm and hurling it at someone as a pejorative, is specious, silly, and makes you the fool; an angry , ignorant, blithering, useless, senseless, childish fool who is never ever going to get what you want, BTW.
Ayn Rand expressed views of people and how they function, both as herd members and individuals, showing a preference for individual freedom. America was founded on individual freedom, simply because there was no other choice at the time to follow the Old World herd model. Our Founding Fathers gave us a definition of what Americans created, then a system to keep it going. We had three constitutions to define the limits of the national system, as we kept our individual governance close, starting between the ears and in the heart up to the County level that was supposed to be no further than a days horseback ride. In the 21st century, our elected representatives took an Oath to keep what was established, yet turned on it immediately and trashed it in order to reintroduce the Old World system rejected almost 400 years ago, by force just over 200 years ago. They moved government away from the individual to a distant city and founded it as the center of organized crime, as if it were just an extension of Haiti. Then, they picked our pockets and destroyed our economy. Claysamerica.com
I have a cousin that married a "man" that only holds a job long enough to collect uneployment again after it ran out in the first place. He brags about the fact that they get $800/ month for food and a welfare check twice a month. That pisses me off but what really makes me angry is that they are responsible for the lives of 3 children age ranges 10-1!!! These kids are innocent and being shown that they can be lazy and live off the government teat. What is worse is that my cousin was not raised this way, she became this way her senior year at highschool and it got worse later on in college!! Gotta love the Liberal school system we have!!! I thank God and my parents and family everyday that I was shown to take pride in working and providing for your family, not living on handouts!!!
You are missing the point, Sarah is speaking at a grass roots event, supposedly without any corporate help, please tell me where the money is coming from?
Why no responses to my post, Pure and Organic??? Palin was just an after thought! Oh ya Palin was asked who her favorite forefather was, she answered 'all of them' you must be so proud!!
I hope you are joking!!!
I see this all the time! It's very sad, and disheartening, to know that the last several generations of children have been encouraged to 'live off the government'…if they do find work, there is very little pride in the jobs they do..it's like they don't care…
I would say that they have forgotten that, but, you can't forget what you don't bother to read!
This is a re-post,
The Tea party has been hijacked by the far right corporatist!!
To bad it has already been infiltrated and taken over, just read the comments by the founder of the Tea Party movement Chad Peace, he describes how the corporate right hijacked their movement!!! The movement is being controlled by corporate interest and they are controlling the messages!!
I'm a big tea party supporter, but be careful of the likes of Leahy, Odom and especially Hennessey. They are Republican political operators, and really don't act like true conservatives. I live an hour outside Saint Louis and Hennessey is a fake. Check out their website–he is much more interested in selling tea party tee shirts and hats than in conservative values. He posts offensive off the wall stuff. I know dozens of people who have walked away from the tea party group there and formed smaller Missouri groups becauses Hennessey is a huge ego and a manipulator. This training looks like Republicans trying to steal the tea party label to me. Count me out.
Please read my post on this page, Tea Party hijacked!! Research the founder of the tea Party Chad Peace, he explains how the group has been hijacked by the corporate right!!!
Better watch out because I'm sure that our federal government will not be as TOLERANT with the Tea Party group as they are with terrorist trying to economically destroy us! Hey, they do have something in common with the Islam terrorist don't they? I'm also quite sure that they would be much more quick to respond militarily against the Tea Party Movement!
From people that want to hear her speak and support her.
You state things so badly it's hard to have an answer.
Sarah goes where they invite her, speaks and people respond because they want to.
The same reasons I think we don't moan and grown when Gore goes and private citizens pay his way.
Oh, that's not what happens, is it? Fat cats use higher prices to pay his way and they wonder why we don't like our hard earned money being hijacked for things that will hurt us in the end.
He's not only not kidding, but expressing it very well for the rest of us that didn't have a chance to.
Could you explain yourself?
On one hand hand you could be using irony since Nepalitano wants to watch Christians, anti-abortionists and returning vets. But you also could have meant it literally.
Care to explain a little more?
I also know that statistically by the age of 13 or 14 years old a person's philosophy of life has been embedded in their personality forever and 97 1/2 % never change this "life philosophy" unless it is either by the creator or by the devil. I know that Obama was schooled in Islam until at least age 13 years old. So he is most probably either Islam or has found either the Hebrew Messiah YahShua, coming in his father's Name, YahWeh, or as Lucifer, coming in his own name, the "Light Bearer"! I just wonder?
Fine organize. Organized employees should have higher quality work, higher volume of work. But unions lower the amount of work, argue over the quality and agree on higher costs.
That's not organized in the literal sense.
Not even for Ted Kennedy's senate seat.
I cheered when I heard Brown's comment about it being the 'people's seat'. We need more like him!
Only having public funding is a way to make sure only incumbants have a voice in how elections are run.
McCain tried that route, and we all know what a losing campaign he ran. I want to know if I feel strongly about a matter up for election, I can spend my own money to make my voice be heard.
Why does that threaten you?
I'd love to see a movement like the tea party become a party, but it would be "POWERLESS" in this society created by OUR EVIL FEDERAL GOVERNMENT! Thanks to FDR, to get citizenship in America, you must have an "External" type of personality, which means that you are looking for a "Dictator" to bring you to tell, although they don't think so. We were founded by "Internal" Personality Types, thinking that we can control our own fate or Destiny! Don't think that the Bushes were not doing the same thing as the Democrats! They were 3rd degree Masons following Lucifer too! Now, there are for "External" Personality Types, including the illegals that will even help the federal government get rid of the entire movement! If you have been following the history channel, you can see that the "Internal" Personality Types of Americans are a MINORITY and will LOSE TO the MAJORITY to the point of killing you and thinking that they are doing their GOD a favor! Sound familiar? It should!
Having public financing of elections would ensure that the political system would work for the people and not corporate interest or special interest groups!! Politicians would not have to worry about how he or she would finance their next election campaign, leaving their time to work on issues that concern the people not their corperate supporters!!
Tea Party Patriots are the movement. I HOPE the character of the movement does not CHANGE into a top-heavy Jackass/Pachyderm political party.
It is an unstoppable phenomena because no outside force can control the movement. Every participant is an individual impetus driving the cause. Independent action and thinking is incomprehensible and threatening to it's enemies.
Unique character, direction, and increasing growth of the Tea Party movement exists in it's patriot members.
In theory. But it never works out that way in a practical manner.
Only the incumbants get their version of events out, and the other side is hobbled by restrictions.
Now with Democrats in power the idea will be trotted out more and more.
How in the name of all things Holy can you even try to make a connection between Free Trade and support for Israel?!? Are you retarded or just an anti-Semite?
She then said GEORGE WASHINGTON.
Not everyone has a "favorite" FF; many people like more than one, some like all but one or more, and some people have NO idea who all of the FFs were………….which I bet includes you.
If Palin was "just an after thought", then WHY throw it in at all and why so nasty?
Face it, your posts stink and since you don't reply to everything, even most things, in other posters'; replies, you have a bloody nerve demanding that all of us reply, point by point to the talking points and drivel you imagine are so "wonderful", that you post !
Palin is terrific and that you are incapable of seeing that, brands you for what and who you are.
How about trying to refute what I posted or apologize for being wrong?
It is a very easy way to know where one stands. When someone responds to a post with a negative Tea Party comment, I know right away where they stand.
We need to have tougher skin. They are the one with thin skins. Just try to say something that offends them. Ouch!
Looks like hockeynation is all wee weed up! Calm down, breath in and out.
You are right, Gore is strictly corporate/government. He and Willy go where the money is, climategate. That makes it okay.
Apples of oranges. Sarah is on a whole different level than those scheisters. She actually has morals.
It just pisses you off that people want her, in spite of your astroturfing.
My favorite FF is all of them. I may not agree with some of the things that some have said or done, but you can't deny that they came together and created something unique. It is like saying which is your favorite child. I love them all the same, just for different reasons.
That was just a drive by comment. Notice no profile, no responsibility for comments.
I don't think victor was using irony. I feel it was a veiled threat. It is hard to say.
That is extortion.
Retardes anti-semite? Seems to be a few of them around
………
Thank God for Freedom Works and Americans for Peosperity then!!…. Hanzo
Indeed, hard to say when there is no cognitive thought process involved, same for hockeynation, IMO….. Hanzo
Very well put.
It also looks like we found another one who just isn't getting it. You can't pin the Tea Party to any pre-existing group. We don't fit into any of their boxes and it's driving them moon bat crazy trying to figure that out. By the time they do get it right, we'll have them by the belt buckle.
I hope you come with them, butt wipe! That would make my day!
The site admin should change his ID settings to require posters have an ID membership. That would keep all these little butt weasels from hiding in the shadows.
plainol, you have no idea what you're talking about. Have a double dose of STFU.
You just don't get it, do you? We don't care what you call yourself as long as you believe in Freedom and the Constitution. If you want to throw your vote away on someone who won't pull 2% of the popular vote, go ahead. Just know this: if you do that, you might as well vote for Obama again because it will amount to the same thing.
I'm liking you more with every post I read. LOL! Ron Paul is a total moon bat!
Yeah, he should skip on over to buttmunchingskinheads.com. I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed.
I enjoy following you both. It is always insightful and entertaining! LOL!
Why thank you; I enjoy your posts very much and I'm not just saying that because you just paid me a compliment.
Ron Paul and his benighted, drooling sycophants are indeed moon bats.
Thanks, Andreaen and I concur re Looking4 !
They use astroturfing as a SOP, so they can't conceive of any other group being able to spontaneously come together for this nation. I hope it is driving them crazy.
They can comprehend what genuine patriotism is. Sad, but true. We just need to keep doing what we are doing. Maybe, just maybe we can take back our country.
Doesn't the management organize to lower wages (and quality)?
Since you're from "Pinky" Reid's State, I'm glad you feel that way. Over here in Virginia we've got a couple Dem senators that need a good whuppin too.
I don't even think it's accurate to describe the Tea Party as an organization. It's just a whole lot of people from all over the spectrum who, more or less, want the same things for our country. That's why the Dems (and to some degree, the Rep.s) can't figure it out. We have no headquarters, we have no candidate, we just have a whole lot of pissed off people who are committed to cleaning up the mess this country has become. The Tea Party is a hydra. You can't cut the head off and expect to win. For every person they intimidate, 10 more take their place. We are coming. Can you hear us now?
In smart management they organize to make profits. But poor quality means customer drop off, so you need quality product to make a decent profit. That's where competition comes in handy.
The market system is more than just competitive prices and flexibility in work force.
Code of silence is correct. The question that no one in the media will answer, much less ask is:
How can the status at birth of a natural born citizen of the United States of America be "governed" by the laws of Great Britain?
This question comes from what was stated on Obama's website:
"When Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4,1961, in Honolulu, Kenya was a British colony, still part of the United Kingdom’s dwindling empire. As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject whose citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948. That same act governed the status of Obama Sr.‘s children."
Aren't we supposed to tell the truth? For American Taxpaying Citizens to DENY the obvious and pretend that there is no ongoing conspiracy which includes the democratic and republican party's, that is saying to people that no one is to discuss ARTICLE 1 SECTION 2 and how Barack Obama because of his father is an ILLEGAL PRESIDENT… would be telling a lie!
By all means, take your country back, but if you do not know who it is you are taking it back from, it will be extremely difficult!!
Thank God for the lobbyist who have hijacked your movement?
Look up, Tea party founder Chad Peace's comments on the hijacking of the group by right wing corporatist!!!! He states that the Tea Party is a PUPPET group, who are having their strings pulled!!!!!!!
Yes, they are PO's(Professional Organisers), you obviously don't really agree then, with "our" movement? Thanks for the tip, we'll keep our eyes on them
……….. Hanzo
Clearly a lost cause!!!!!!
Yes that may be true and also I need to look no further than to the blatant and shameful way this guy is sucking up to muslims as if he were one of them …defending them! Obama is an ILLEGAL president and there is a CODE OF SILENCE in play that is blocking and preventing just the mere discussion of the Constitutional violation of ARTICLE 2 SECTION 1! And that spells "MASS CONSPIRACY TO SILENCE THE AMERICAN CRIME OF THE CENTURY" that is going on as we speak!
You are an idiot!!!
Andreaen
I have been to numerous events (TEA Parties) and NO ONE is organizing me.(don't even organize myself)
I can read and I can think, and I can tell a charlatan when I see (hear) one.
The problem the LibLice have is that they believe everyone else must be told what it is they think and believe. Just can't fathom (comprehend for you lice) the fact the there are people who can think for themselves.
TEA Party Movement— It is called kindred spirits LibLice.
hockeynation
No problem, we really can see clearly, who is for and who is against America (as founded).

The same kind of individuals who always step up to the plate and donate, with or without a Tax Credit.. The same kind of people, as those outside Mass. sending money to Scott Brown. The kind of people that give of themselves–Without a Government Mandate. The kind of people with Heart and Soul. The kind of people who don't need a law to tell us what is the right course of action.——–Those are the people the money is coming from.
Get used to it. It wil get a lot worse before it's over.
The best thing that the tea party groups can do is to take over the democratic and republican parties, throw all the leadership of both out, and nominate individuals that reflect the views of the american people. If they try to become a political party unto themselves, it will be the end of the movement, the constitution, and ultimatly, the nation. Join the american people, into the process. Sign up for membership in one or both of th eparties and TAKE THEM OVER! That way, the NAZI's in the whitehouse do not have the excuse they need to declare martial law and suspend the constitution and turn this nation into a tdictaroship.
Have you surrendered already? Where's your white flag? Are you suggesting that since you have surrendered so soon that all others must follow you? This country was not founded by the "SURRENDERERS", it was founded by the "PATRIOTS" which sounds like you are not one of!
Truth is Treason in an Empire of Lies!
Government no longer represented!
I hereby challenge bigjournalism.com to ask this question:
How can the status at birth of a natural born citizen of the United States of America be "governed" by the laws of Great Britain?
See my post higher on this thread for more information.
Are there journalists at bigjournalism.com?
Is this question to "big" for bigjournalism.com to ask?
Aren't they pathetic! It makes me want to puke that people in this elder age group are going around in public having what is classically known as the "TEMPER TANTRUM" by child psychologist and these sick people call themselves "leaders"…..I think not!
Kevin MacDonald: Jews are the financial engine of the left
Kevin MacDonald: In his book Why Are Jews Liberals?, Norman Podhoretz states that Jews fund the left in America. He states it as a rather obvious truth — so obvious that it doesn’t really require a great deal of research.
And he is not writing simply about explicitly Jewish activist organizations like the ADL, but also to organizations like the ACLU and the $PLC. In fact, in his 1996 book Jewish Power: Inside the American Jewish Establishment, J. J. Goldberg pointed out that “within the world of liberal organizations like the ACLU and People for the American Way, Jewish influence is so profound that non-Jews sometimes blur the distinction between them and the formal Jewish community.”

The ADL: Managing White Rage____Kevin MacDonald____December 7, 2009____
A recent Haaretz article on the state of the Jewish world contained the following:____In general today, one of the long-term challenges for the American Jewish community is evident in demographic forecasts that predict that in two or three decades, certain minority groups are expected to become a majority in the United States.
Jews tend to have a very large blind spot when it comes to immigration. Norman Podhoretz recently published a book titled Why are Jews Liberals? The basic pitch is that American Jews should support the Republican Party because it’s better for Israel. Podhoretz never proposes that Jews should actually become conservative — just support Republicans because they’re better for Israel. It never occurs to Podhoretz to oppose immigration for the same reasons alluded to by Foxman, his fellow Jewish activist and unregistered agent for a foreign government — to wit, that a future America with a non-White majority may well have much higher levels of anti-Jewish and anti-Israel sentiment than an America with a White majority.

Andreaen
Very sorry for the mix up.
I was joining with your comment, not commenting in opposition to you.
No problem. it did scare me for a bit. I was wracking my brain trying to figure out what I said that could be misconstrued as liberal.
We truly are kindred spirits. Hopefully we embody a part of the same spirit that our FF had.
Andreaen
There is so much tension in the air now, that we are all a bit on the edge. It is easy for a small misunderstanding to develop into large problem, when unaddressed. I thank you for questioning me, instead of just taking offense at my comment.
Kindred Spirits——-you know them when you meet them!
It's late and I am not sure what you saying to me. I was referring to how the liberals can't understand a grass roots phenomenon, because they use astroturfing as their SOP (standard operating procedure). They do that, not not the Tea Party. I also have been to numerous tea parties, supplying many flags for those who didn't have them.
Are you calling me a charlatan? I think for myself also. What the hell are you trying to say to me? I hope you are not calling me a liberal, that would be the deepest cut of all.
You are so right, there is so much stress. Every day there is a new attack from on the American public. We need to be able to stick together. I didn't think I heard right. Like I said it was late.
Progressives are on a mad crazy blitzkrieg attack, trying to get as much damage done before the next elections.
I looked for the post TexomaED but couldn't find it.
No I am saying, that YOU are a lost cause, I was told, if I were to go on some right wing sites, I would read statements like the one you made, I said no way there isn't anyone in the country that dumb, guess I was wrong!!!!!
So you are saying that you believe the corporatist, that have taken control of your Tea Party, are for America?
I guess bigjournalism ain't so "big" after all.
hockeynation
Having no idea what you meant by your comment, I looked up the word and found this on Wiki:
"Corporatism is a system of economic, political, or social organization where corporate groups such as agricultural, business, ethnic, labour, military, patronage, scientific, or religious groups are joined together into a single body in which the different groups are mandated to negotiate with each other to establish policies in the interest of the multiple groups within the body.[1] The word "corporatism" is derived from the Latin word for body, corpus. This meaning is not connected with the contemporary inaccurate and pejorative use of corporatism to describe politics that is dominated by business corporations. Corporatism views society as being alike to an organic body in which each corporate group is viewed as a necessary organ for society to function properly.[2] Corporatism is related to the sociological concept of functionalism.[3] Countries that have corporatist systems typically utilize strong state intervention to direct corporatist policies and to prevent conflict between the groups.[4]
Corporatism has been supported from various proponents across the political spectrum, including: absolutists, capitalists, conservatives, fascists, progressives, reactionaries and theologians.[5]
Political scientists may also use the term corporatism to describe a practice whereby a state, through the process of licensing and regulating officially-incorporated social, religious, economic, or popular organizations, effectively co-opts their leadership or circumscribes their ability to challenge state authority by establishing the state as the source of their legitimacy, as well as sometimes running them, either directly or indirectly through corporations. This usage is particularly common in the area of East Asian studies, and is sometimes also referred to as state corporatism. Some analysts have applied the term neocorporatism to certain practices in Western European countries, such as the Tupo in Finland and Proporz system in Austria.[6] At a popular level in recent years "corporatism" has been used in a pejorative context to refer to the application of corporatism by fascist regimes[7] or to mean the promotion of the interests of private business corporations in government over the interests of the public".
**
Now I can understand what is being said in the above, I cant' understand how you feel that there is a "corporatist" somewhere that has "taken over" the Tea Party.
If you are a serious individual who believes that it is so, I would appreciate if you would take the time to explain your rationale.
If you are just an opportunistic commenter, I will say this to you: Unlike sheep, you can not 'herd' cats. You may be able, through the use of something like fire, get them to go in a general direction, you can not predict with any accuracy what will happen next. They could run the way you want or circle back and attack you.
Not wishing to 'pre-judge' you, I offer you this opportunity to exposit your beliefs. Go ahead, the ball is in your court.
Oh! So your one of those stupid GREEN POD CREATURES FROM OUTER SPACE whose GREEN POD MOMMY didn't teach you any GREEN POD manners during your journey on the spacecraft to this planet earth from your STUPID GREEN POD PLANET! Now human beings on the other hand (which you are not) know how to move on if they read something they disagree with. Human beings have manners! GREEN POD CREATURES like yourself stop and throw childish insults!
Gingersnapper, I will get back to you later, I am short of time right now.
But who are these people to have a meeting and say they 'are' the tea party movement?
It is ground up, not top down, and will remain so.
Treating corporations as legal “persons” puts democracy at risk and threatens a return to feudalism, where the few own what the many need.
Wiki
Corporatocracy or corpocracy is a form of government where corporations, conglomerates or government entities with private components, control the direction and governance of a country. This is sometimes considered to be a form of fascism.
There are currently no governments designated by any governmental agency as a corporatocracy. Political progressives, however, have criticized governments for being de facto corporatocracies. Because governments tend to obscure the degree to which corporate interests are entangled in their affairs, an objective standard for declaring a government a corporatocracy is difficult. However many Western governments based on a capitalist system have been accused of being corporatocracies. Many corporations contribute abundantly to political candidates and causes. This creates a dependency of the politician on the corporation – in order to keep his power and wealth (i.e. continue receiving support for re-election bids), he might be obliged to "pay back" to the corporation using his political influence.
This is what I meant by corporatist!! When I referenced corporatist taking over the Tea Party I was referring to the Lobby groups, Freedom works, and Americans for Prosperity, as I noted in an earlier post!!
I believe that the Tea Party, in its truest form is something that both the right and left can get engage with, I find it very unfortunate the direction it has taken!!
Please look up Chad Peace the founder of the Tea Party, and read what he says about the take over.
I will step up to the plate and apologize for making the dumb comment, could you please step up and admit that you do not really believe that Obama is a Muslim Terrorist!!
So! You really want to know whether or not I think Omommabama leans in the direction of sucking up to terrorist that want to kill you first just for practice before they kill me is not possible?
One more thing, if you ever want a great read on the subject, pick up 'Screwed' The Undeclared War Against the Middle Class by Thom Hartman.
hockeynation
Thank you for your response.
I will look into Chad Peace and get back to you on that.
Let me state for you information, I have been to several TEA Parties. I am not, nor are any of the numerous people I have spoken with, affiliated with an organized group, except in so far as someone must get permits, (sad thing that) for the 'right' to congregate. Maybe I am an exception (I doubt that), what I am doing is expressing my dissatisfaction with those (whatever political stripe), who are happy to tax me, yet unwilling to listen to me. When I write my congressperson a letter concerning a specific issue, and three months later I receive a generic response, that in no ways addresses that issue, I am not a happy camper.
When the person representing me in DC is always unavailable to me by phone or in person, I am not a happy camper.
When that person refuses to hold local town hall meetings with the people of the district, I am not a happy camper.
If my response is to join with like minded 'unhappy campers' to go to DC in numbers (1.5 million) in effort to get the attention of my congress person. I am acting (in concert with others) as an individual, not as corporatist, nor am I being lead by them!
Lobbies! Well that is a discussion for another post… this one is getting long.
Your comment proves what I have been saying all along, that the right and left are really on the same page, the reason you do not get any response from your Representatives is becauase they are beholden to their corporate sponsors, this is nothing new, and it is not exclusive to one party.
I believe that if people want real change they are going to have to let go of their petty differences, and come together on the issues they all can agree on, the issues that are by far the most important!!
I would like to see the Tea Party pushing Campaign Finance Reform, this would be the first real step to getting the country back, but you will get strong resistance from the Lobby's who are helping to finance the movement, this would go directly against their self interest!!
I consider myself left leaning on most issues, but that does not mean that I don't want the same things as you or any one else on the right!! I am also Canadian which gives me an outside prospective, without attaching any real emotion, Canadians need a strong unified US, it really is best for all.
Yes! please explain, I must be in the dark. Please be very specific, those are some very serious charges!!!
