Root Causes: In Iowa, Sarah Palin Lays Out a Governing Philosophy that Should Worry Both Sides of the Aisle
by John NolteToday in Iowa, home of that all-important Caucus (hint-hint?), Governor Palin spoke as clearly as she ever has on a subject near and dear to my heart and one I’ve been waiting to hear from a serious GOP contender. Palin calls it, quite appropriately, “crony capitalism,” where the moneyed and powerful receive preferential treatment from our political class in exchange for the financial support that puts and keeps the political class in charge of the rest of us.
This is the vicious circle currently tanking our economy and Palin’s own words sum it up best:
“Corporate welfare is just socialism for the very wealthy.”
Indeed.
And while Governor Palin rightfully trained most of her rhetorical fire on President Obama (the most corporatist president of my lifetime), she also took on Republican members of that “permanent political class” who selfishly dole out our hard-earned money to those who keep them in power.
This is nothing more than a racket and it’s a disgusting one at that that explains why deficits and wasteful spending occurs regardless of which party is in charge — it is, as the Governor made clear, the disease that’s killing our free market economy. But she has a cure that will both cut these insidious ties and create jobs: end loopholes, end corporate welfare, end bailouts (amen) AND end the corporate income tax. In other words: Corporate America — we’ll get out of your way but you are now on your own.
When you see Obama cozying up to General Electric and in turn see GE embracing Obama and his stupid “green solutions,” what you’re witnessing is a scheme designed to snuff competition. GE isn’t stupid, they know “green energy” is nonsense, but they also know they’re “too big to fail” and that they can afford to pay for burdensome taxes (if they pay taxes at all) and environmental regulations. But do you want to know who can’t? Up and coming companies, upstarts who might someday put GE out of business. If you know the government’s going to bail you out and snuff your competition, where’s the downside in “going green”?
(As a movie guy who speaks that language best, if you want to know of what I speak, rent “Tucker: The Man and His Dream.”)
What I’m saying is that Big Business can be every bit as corrupt and harmful to our economy as Big Government and Sarah Palin not only understands this, but while she was Alaska’s governor, she fought and beat Big Oil and the political cronies who gave them the upper hand over what was best for her State and its people. This isn’t a folk tale and it’s not political legend. It’s a fact and it’s what sets her apart from way too many on our side.
There were a number of other specifics in today’s speech, including the repeal of ObamaCare, cancelling all that unused money from Obama’s epically failed stimulus, open the floodgates to our domestic energy resources, fix our deficit on our own terms before some foreign country forces us to on theirs, and make America the most attractive country in the world to do business in with the aforementioned tax reform and the reining in of regulations.
But what we really heard was a thematic speech that laid out a governing philosophy, a bold approach to issues and problems in a way that focuses as strongly on our corrupted political culture as it does on the problems themselves — a root cause approach that helps to explain why the GOP establishment currently sitting comfortably in their own feathered nests are so afraid of this woman.
Should Palin run for president (and I hope she does), the debate about what needs to be done to get this economy back on track will no longer pussyfoot around the edges of “entitlements” and “pork.” She will drag it again and again back to where it needs to be, at the feet of our bipartisan crony capitalism problem — our diseased and selfish political culture that lurks on both sides of the aisle.
Should she choose not to run, however, hopefully today she at least rang a bell that can’t be un-rung.
According to Palin, we’ll know by the end of this month as to whether or not she’ll be throwing her hat into the 2012 presidential ring. But whatever her ultimate decision, what we’re seeing now is a savvy game of chess. Should she choose to run, by holding her fire and patiently waiting (while the Smart GOP Set criticizes her for not letting them open their presents early), she’s giving herself and her team time to put their pieces in place and watch the enemy’s tactics — the enemy primarily being a corrupt media too invested in Obama to let him lose. Should the Governor choose not run, she’ll have used these last few months to affect the GOP debate, especially on behalf of the millions of everyday Americans who make up the Tea Party.
Palin represents my kind of populism, the sincere kind borne of faith in the ability of everyday Americans to govern themselves in a system of government that only works when its primary function is to get the hell out of our way. That’s what I want to hear from a candidate.
As far as an announcement, we’re months away from the Iowa Caucus and 400-plus days away from the election. I like the patience I’m seeing from the Governor and she doesn’t need me to tell her that if you look close enough you’ll see that most of those carping about her waiting to make a decision are doing so from a feathered nest.

I hope God leads her to run. I will certainly vote for her. I've had it with the corrupt politicians on both sides of the aisle.
No more TARP, GM bailouts, Fannie or Freddie loans…. And prison time for the executives who paid themselves eight and nine figure salaries with ill-gotten taxpayer money.
I like the socialism they practiced in Alaska under Palin. Those rich oil companies paid a check to all the residents. Ask most "conservatives" without labeling it socialism and they will think it is the greatest thing ever. LOL!
"………..She will drag it again and again back to where it needs to be, at the feet of our bipartisan crony capitalism problem — our diseased and selfish political culture that lurks on both sides of the aisle…………"
All it takes is just a minority of the voters in this country,…
who truly understand this message to go out and,…..
enlighten 51% of the electorate.
I would than love to live till my 100th birthday.
The ownership of MSNBC by a non news corporation, GE, puts that corp. in a position to help the administration through what looks like news. Then Obama takes GE head into the inner circle at the WH. Can there be a worse case of crony capitalism? Shame, Shame on all of them. O, the GE owned President.
You don't have any friends do you?
Might I suggest a nice game down at the bingo parlor, or perhaps a sharing session at the local mental facility.
That’s exactly the reason she should run. However I’m having my doubts, but she’d pull the field to the right, not just political right, but to do the right thing. Our political class is completely corrupt, both sides, and if we do not break the nexus between the Washington political class, K-Street and Wall Street, slam the revolving door shut, we’re doomed as a free nation. As of yet, she Ron Paul and Herman Cain are the only ones bucking the trend. Run Sarah, America needs you!
I love this woman's Patriotism, she certainly understands what Obama is doing to our country. I have never seen someone so demonized in my entire life.
No one wants to see Sarah Palin run more than I do.
But where was the big announcement she promised?
Very good speech, but ultimately I was disappointed.
WHY oh why can't the rest of the GOP suits even utter something close like this woman can?? To the point, succinct…this message is so refreshing and exactly what this country needs to get out of the marxist shackles and weasel corporation cronyism.
The Founding Fathers are so relieved listening to hear her words and the leftist slime will implode if she runs.
He does not.. Pehaps this fella should more to Alaska.
New meaning to the word freinds, if you have none you die up there.
Thats why Alaska will pay you to try to survive there. A bonus for just staying alive.
Now there is a Welfare check, Not !
Crony capitalism is practiced by both parties, and we the people let them practice it unchecked. It's one of the great tragedies of our political system. Will we ever stand up and hold them accountable?
It is obvious that you wouldn't know what Socialism was if it was poking you in both eyes at once. When are you going to go away and troll and spew your bile elsewhere?
The mention of " Philosophy " and Sara Palin in the same sentence is a sin. Socrates is rolling over in His grave.
wow, on another thread i was having a back and fourth between two supposed conservatives. they were telling me how sarah palin is unelectable. i was saying she has the world at her fingers, and it is hers for the taking. or, anybody she endorses for the election. why people think she is unelectable is beyond me. the speech today was another double grand slam. she hit it out of one ballpark, and over another. nobody has ever said what she is saying, and they better start listening up. i hope, hope, hope she runs, i want to vote for her. and they told me i was falling for a cult, sarah palin is no cult, she is an honest to goodness american, with signs of our forefathers pulsing through her veins.
You should have been in the military because we are used to hurry up and wait, I have no problem in waiting for her, she's worth the wait.
Joe have Faith. We don't want someone who plays the game the same way everyone else does. She didn't promise anything for today. It will be the end of September. Let the Pundits and Political control freaks shoot their feet off first. She doesn't need these first few debates. Right now it's a circus with idiots jockeying with other idiots for position. She knows she will come in on the top of the ledger. Millions of people have been waiting years for her. I for one trust her judgement. She will run.
To bolster what Sarah is saying:
Keep a sharp eye out for the following in Obumbler's speech this coming week.
There will be a proposal: government backed re-financing of mortgages at the current low rates for debt relief for all the underwater home owners. Keep in mind that the Federal Reserve holds $trillions of worthless mortgage notes that they purchased from FANNIE/FREDDIE with no Repurchase Agreement.
This is a back door way of the Federal Reserve getting rid of these notes by selling them back to Fannie and Freddie. We the People will pay the cost of this by the debt service of the Treasury notes to cover this re-finance transaction.
I heard this, only a rumor, from an informed source. The Federal Reserve is desperate to get rid of these notes because Congress can decide to only pay the Fed Reserve back at a highly discounted rate.
If ever there was a hand of God pointing the way to save this nation it is surely now with Sarah Palin and her clear bell tone path to redemption. It remains to be seen if there are enough intelligent, selfless citizens left to effect the needed changes or if the dumbing down of America has finally led to our demise and frankly I think it's a very close call. As with Carter, our last great mistake before Obama, we came to our collective senses and moved away from the brink of disaster, Hopefully, very hopefully this time we'll do the same and have eight years of her great leadership followed by eight more years of conservative politics and then eight more years after that and on and on.
Moron.
Socialism is when the state takes over the business.
Socialism is when the state takes that money to do what it wants.
In Alaska, the money goes straight to the residents. It is not socialistic to expect that a company provide compensation to the residents of a state for the privilege of exploiting that state's resources.
In a socialist state, the goal is for the government to exploit the profits of the company to the max, down to a profit margin of zero. In Alaska, the oil companies' profits have only increased, as have the payments to the residents.
Typical azz breath liberal, too dumb to know what it is that he doesn't know.
Carter (the second worst president ever) led us to Reagan.
obama (the worst president ever) will lead us to Palin.
Sarah Palin…Founding Mother..Someone we can all trust with upholding the Constitution….
and putting the dimRINOs out to pasture..
speaking of that, look at this from a post on ann coulter's site http://www.openmarket.org/2011/09/02/massive-just... it is worse than refinancing.
Frederic' Bastiat 1801-1850 French Statesman, legal scholar and political philosopher…
There is simply no equal to this man's incredible use of legal logic, he lived a very short life but every doctor of jurisprudence studies and knows of his essay entitled "The Law".
His beautiful essay is a prerequisite for every law student to this day, sadly, most lawyers choose to ignore his masterpiece because their personal agenda matters more than right and wrong…
EXCERPT from "The Law":
The Choice Before Us
This question of legal plunder must be settled once and for all, and there are only three ways to settle it:
1. The few plunder the many.
2. Everybody plunders everybody.
3. Nobody plunders anybody.
We must make our choice among limited plunder, universal plunder, and no plunder. The law can follow only one of these three.
Limited legal plunder: This system prevailed when the right to vote was restricted. One would turn back to this system to prevent the invasion of socialism.
Universal legal plunder: We have been threatened with this system since the franchise was made universal. The newly enfranchised majority has decided to formulate law on the same principle of legal plunder that was used by their predecessors when the vote was limited.
No legal plunder: This is the principle of justice, peace, order, stability, harmony, and logic. Until the day of my death, I shall proclaim this principle with all the force of my lungs (which alas! is all too inadequate).*
*Translator's note: At the time this was written, Mr. Bastiat knew that he was dying of tuberculosis. Within a year, he was dead.
The Proper Function of the Law
And, in all sincerity, can anything more than the absence of plunder be required of the law? Can the law — which necessarily requires the use of force — rationally be used for anything except protecting the rights of everyone? I defy anyone to extend it beyond this purpose without perverting it and, consequently, turning might against right. This is the most fatal and most illogical social perversion that can possibly be imagined. It must be admitted that the true solution — so long searched for in the area of social relationships — is contained in these simple words: Law is organized justice.
Now this must be said: When justice is organized by law — that is, by force — this excludes the idea of using law (force) to organize any human activity whatever, whether it be labor, charity, agriculture, commerce, industry, education, art, or religion. The organizing by law of any one of these would inevitably destroy the essential organization — justice. For truly, how can we imagine force being used against the liberty of citizens without it also being used against justice, and thus acting against its proper purpose? "
If you never read another essay on the true and rightful nature of "law", please, for God's sake read this one and pass it along…

Can anyone here say one thing that Palin has done in national politics that made any kind of difference to anyone?
So many act like Palin is the second coming of conservative America, but all she does is talk.
"But she has a cure that will both cut these insidious ties and create jobs: end loopholes, end corporate welfare, end bailouts (amen) AND end the corporate income tax. In other words: Corporate America — we’ll get out of your way but you are now on your own." This article doesn't state how Palin plans to do any of this…because Palin doesn't know how she plans to do any of this. I am not a fan of the woman, but I am trying to be legitimately curious as to how anyone who is a fan of Palin can justify how she can turn her words into action? Her resume speaks otherwise really.
She's in all right. She will announce her candidacy by the end of the month, as she has stated several times. And it won't take long for her to dominate the Republican field, either.
We're coming for you, Obama. America is back, and she's mad as hell. Get ready.
I honestly think is liberals would really listen to Sarah Palin…and the tea party for that matter, they'd love both. Not the ridiculous liberals like Obama who are only after power. But liberals who hate wall street, hate big corporations having so much power in government. Sarah Palin and the Tea Party would fight that.
Look. Sometimes it's hard for a parent to see, much less admit, that they have an ugly baby.
But that's what Sarah Palin is to the GOP.
Funny thing is I'm actually a fan of hers. I think she's smart, and really adds to the discussion (when she's not merely staring in The Sarah Palin Show). I also think she's gotten the shortest shrift of any public figure in recent history, and I'm constantly defending her to people who are merely going on the media's perception/portrayal of her.
It's really unfair.
But she's DONE as a candidate. The damage is DONE. And that's only a small percentage of the Americans who don't like her.
The rest just don't. They don't know why. They can't put a finger on it. But she rubs them the wrong way.
Have you ever known someone like that? Someone that you know, deep down, is competent, and smart… and you technically should like them… but there's just something about them that drives you crazy? That gets under your skin? To hundreds of millions of Americans THAT is Sarah Palin.
Unfortunately.
You could pose that question about “most” anyone while running for president. Barry is and was the most inexperienced man in the room, what the Hell did he do to effect national policy as a candidate? McCain could reach across the aisle, he affected national policy to our detriment, McCain-Feingold, etc. You could march down the entire litany of the Republican field, using your test.
You're not wrong.
But she's not right.
Sorry.
You pretend like there isn't a double standard for the GOP, and then a triple standard for GOPers that they really don't like.
You do love your Barry, don't you?
A big announcement by Mrs Palin was supposed to be sistyugler1's birthday gift!! Now I gotta go out and buy her something. DARN!
We truly appreciate your concern.
Corporatism, eh? No one would be using that term if it wasn't for Ron Paul. Palin is just riding his coattails, just like the rest of the candidates. Perry doing the same thing with the Fed
Go preach that to Perry's fanboys.
The only thing that will beat "black" is "woman" and Bachman is not that woman.
The only person she has to blame for the public's perception of her, is herself. As George Patton said, America loves winners and she is a quitter.
That's original Husk…yawn!
Nah, I think America learned it's lesson with the last "affirmative voting action." I really do.
I almost didn't watch the speech because of the 45 minutes. I am so glad I decided to be late. I was able to ignore the whine and really paid attention to her words and thoughts. I hope she runs. I would be proud to vote for this Lady.
We'll see. There are lots of time constraints to consider – not just the primary and caucus filing dates, but the organizational things; getting a team together, speaking dates, fundraising, etc, etc.
All of the current candidates have a fairly good head start on all that.
Sir, when condescending a person it's much better to be direct and to the point!
As soon as he reaches -110.
Exactamundo! The beauty of her strategy is that she gets to frame the debate solely on what she wants to bring into focus, not the lame BS questions the debates thus far have brought. It also avoids the dumb gotcha Q's that brings nothing of substance, just entertainment.
I will take her over Perry or Romney any day, any way. If we listen closely, in a quiet place, I'm sure we can hear every last career politician's teeth chattering across America in fear of Sarah. That momma has some stones indeed.
The GOP thirsts for its own extinction. I hope Sarah Palin delivers it to them.
I swear, the Dems would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have a woman with half the verve and backbone of Sarah Palin.
They would know what to do with that kind of personal power. They knew that there were untold millions waiting to vote for and be part of something historic: a Black man. The GOP can't bear the thought of winning for such a shallow reason. I hope the GOP fades into history, never to be heard from again.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TxL7MKsGoPo
Do you really think she's the only one on that bus?
You're welcome to your liberal attitudes and if you want to try to express yourself forcefully go right ahead, after all it's still a free country despite your best efforts.
Huh?
I get so tired of hearing people opine whether she is electable or not. Turning politics into a betting match complete with odds makers is very useful tool for distraction that only helps maintain the status quo. If you agree with Gov. Palin (and I do) then damn the odds and odds makers and just stand behind her, four square. Break out of the stranglehold of politics as usual and breathe once more the clean air of liberty. Right is right, even if nobody is doing it. Wrong is wrong, even if everybody is doing it.
The logic of the "crony capitalism" arguments Sarah Palin outlined in her speech makes a lot of sense. What saddens me is will people listen? No, because many people refuse to use an aspect of critical thinking known as distinguishing the message from the author/speaker. Many people immediately ignore or downplay the words of others just because of who the other people are. People cannot adequately analyze the arguments from someone when they maintain a bias against the person who wrote/spoke those arguments.
There are people on both the right and the left who view Sarah as a threat even though she does have some logical and common sense ideas that can help push this country in the right direction. Sadly, I bet if you removed her name from the speech and gave it to your friends who disagree with Sarah, you might find some of them agreeing with the words, that is, until they find out it was Sarah Palin who spoke them.
hey, reagan started out that way. he hit the speaking tour, and it turned him into the conservative he was. sarah has one edge reagan didn't have, she started out as a conservative. reagan was a democrat when he started writing and giving speeches for ge, it made him see how conservatism was a benefit for everybody. where he saw liberalism only benefits the people at the top, and lowers the quality of life for everybody at the bottom. so what was your jibberish again? talk is a positive thing, and she is a powerful speaker.
We need Palin one way or the other if we hope to have clear guidance going forward. As much as I like and/or tolerate the top Republican field, there is already to much pussy-footing going on, and we're over 14 months away from the national election. Without a Palin, how bad could it get by Nov 2012? I think we could easily be looking at a 'John McCain' 2.
Appeal to those who are most concerned with the direction of the country- and the 'middle' that professional Republicans always aim for will finally decide that 4 years of Obamagenda is enough. We won't win if the only accomplishment ends up being obamagenda-light. We're already struggling through Obama's transformation. What we need is the exact opposite.
I never over-estimate the voting public and I won't make an exception for you. However, your back-hand shot had a bit of spin to it but I'm up for the return: Sarah Palin is no product of "affirmative action." Not by any reasonable estimation, not by the facts, not by the results.
Have you ever heard of Alaska? Google her accomplishments there, then google Obama, you wont find spit for real accomplishments.
What exactly was so great about this use of a hackneyed buzzword that you deem it a "home run"?
She has not announced. She will not be pushed on the issue of quitting her post until she throws her hat in the ring…something she is obviously hesitant to do. You keep holding your breath for that Palin presidency. If it happens, I'll be the first to congratulate you.
Score!
"AND end the corporate income tax."
Which the consumer pays anyway…
"Cost of doing business" anyone?
Watched undefeated this afternoon.
I like her even more.
Phuck the left and phuck the establishment they are one and two the same.
She realized long ago, as I realized awhile ago, that it is bug business and big regulation that kills the mom-and-pop businesses. Go where you will, Sarah, and I with a hundred million others will back you up.
Like the 14 Wisconsin quitters,…..???????
You stepped in it with both feet now! The PaliNazis will be on you like stink on sh!t in no time flat. If you thought the Paulistinians were bad, you ain't seen nothing yet. I bumped you up to a negative 8, but your score is going into the toilet on this one.
Logical thought is not welcome on this page, brother.
don't concern your petty li'l head none. If you haven't found anything Palin has accomplished by now, you aren't ever and there isn't anything anybody that is going to sway you. If you really wanted to know, the resources are out there. You just go on in your li'l universe, thinking your opinion matters anyways, and we'll just say that you knew all along the Palin would be the next president in 2012….
she will not be pushed on it. if that is the only thing obama and you have on her, it won't be a october surprise, since we all know about that. what about the ideas she has to turn around the economy? that is why she hit a homerun, liberals, such as yourself, never deal with issues, only mudslinging. do not reply to me, unless you have an actual thought not given to you by george soros. since she is not yet a candidate, please, talk about the policy, if you can. did you tell john nolte he belongs to a cult, he has even more praise for her than i do. or are you facing reality, she is influential, and has great powerful ideas?
Yeah, I have. Didn't she quit her post in the middle of her first term? How is that going to help her get elected, again? I'm still not too clear on that strategy.
It's worse than I thought.
This rumor I heard sounded very plausible, it's a "kill two birds with one stone" type thing. The uninformed electorate won't know what the hell hit them.
Now Ralph, you know we aren’t supposed to talk about that with Husk, he’s very touchy in that regard.
Hey, no he didn't! He never quit his job as Governor because a few liberals bullied him a little.
"talk is a positive thing" …except when it's something you don't want to hear. You're a drone and a shill who is run by his emotions. You feel like accusing me of being a college graduate again? I'd really enjoy that!
also, the trolls are out, pretending to be conservatives. they are all saying how sarah is a quitter. i still wonder how intense debate can keep letting these trolls boost thier ratings, to hide thier troll negatives.
It's called COMPENSATION. Oil companies take resources from the state, and pays the residents of that state a percentage of the profits.
Surely you cannot be THAT ignorant.
Quiet. go out and rent The Undefeated to tell you why or I will tell you.
The people of Alaska own the oil, all of it.
They let oil companies lease the land and drill and market, and tax the net profit and since the people own the oil, the money goes back to the people.
I think just a percentage but I could be mistaken there.
Actually it was Rove who insinuated that she would be announcing a candidacy.
That man isn't nearly as smart as he thinks he is…..
It takes more than a bus full of people, billy.
I'm sure she is only surrounded by the most able, dedicated and supportive people. But having done gruntwork on a few campaigns, I can tell you that assembling and organizing the framework of a countrywide campaign is a task that cannot be performed from a bus.
When you read articles about the Romney campaign – just as a for instance – you will see references to his people in this or that state.
That kind of thing takes a lot of time, money and organization to put together.
Which school of philosophy did you get *that* from?
the philosophy of gradeschoolers?
go away troll, she was not bullied by a few liberals. she was tangled in a legal battle because of liberal whimps, such as yourself making false charges against her. you still have not read the post, and actually commented on that. troll away, come on say it again, she quit. you do sound like an elitist college scumbag. if you cannot be positive about anything, go see george, he has a job for you.
It's just that it is Saturday night and,…..
I wanted to see if his,…….
a loss is a win and a win is a loss spins the same,……
as on weekdays.
Obummer would be lost without his teleprompter. You, useful idiot… would be lost without your worn-out Rules for Radicals comic book.
If she runs and if she wins, then that scenario means that the Republicans kept the House, and took the Senate, with a Tea Party mandate from Sarah Palin's coattails (skirttails?)
That is how the law would get out of committe to be debated in front of the public and either voted up or down.
We need her badly.
She was forced to resign, due to groundless ethics investigations that prevented her from fulfilling her responsibilities as governor.
If you cannot discharge your sworn duties adequately, the only honorable thing is to step aside for someone else to take over.
Kind of like what Obama should have done a year ago…..
And honestly, it's not like her speech was a revelation or anything. Sarah is simply echoing statements made by Gary Johnson, Ron Paul and countless others
"WHY oh why can't the rest of the GOP suits even utter something close like this woman can"
I don't know. Why don't you go ask Gary Johnson and Ron Paul. They've been echoing these sentiments longer than Palin has and they're actually candidates for President.
She didn't promise any announcement, except that she would decide by the end of September. So far she has said, "Game On!" and "My plan is …" . She told us today that it's not just a question of replacing Obama but who and what to replace him with. She listened last night as Peter Singleton told O4P volunteers why we needed her as President. Her decision is made. The rest is strategy.
I know, tortured logic at it’s height.
You just keep on tellin' yourself that, KMK.
I watched it this afternoon also. Her story sort of exemplifies American Exceptionalism and that is what she feels so strongly about and that is what is undefeated. Like she sais in the speech in Wisconsin, we will fight, we will not give up
Ron Paul stole it from someone else, like he tried to take credit for the tea party movement:
"In 1881, Pope Leo XIII commissioned theologians and social thinkers to study corporatism and provide a definition for it. In 1884 in Freiburg, the commission declared that corporatism was a "system of social organization that has at its base the grouping of men according to the community of their natural interests and social functions, and as true and proper organs of the state they direct and coordinate labor and capital in matters of common interest." "
Has Paul denounced the white supremacist groups that were caught donating to his last presidential run? Haven't caught that in the news yet……
Did my part for the greater good. Viva la Socialism!
I don't know about that, McMahon.
He isn't. He was just practicing his stand-up routine. I hear he's going on tour with Jon Stewart.
Compare Palin's accomplishments as governor to Gary Johnson's accomplishments as governor. Be honest and tell me whose record as a conservative governor is better. It might surprise you to find that GJ was the most fiscally conservative governor in the country during his 8 years. Unfortunately Palin can't hold a candle to what GJ accomplished.
I like the way she thinks, however I do not think she is electable. At this point she has too much baggage, some of which she has brought on herself. She has been treated most unfairly, but she now borders on relishing that role. Would I vote for her? Not in a Republican primary. In a general election? Of course!
BS. She let a few liberals threaten and intimidate her right out of the Governor's Office. She admits as much herself.
Yes. I'm college educated. That's how I know an idiot like you when I see one.
You might do well to remember that Sarah is a card carrying member of that "evil Republican Party" that you hate so much.
And, yes…she quit. Only an idiot like you would try to deny it. You've already denied it twice. Want to try for three times? Or do you just want to try to justify it again? Because I haven't even begun to scratch the surface of all the reasons it was a bad move on her part yet.
Who was it that said the establishment today is less like either Republicans and Democrats and more like Aristocrats? It is true. Aristocrats have always sniffed at the notion of going out and making money. The fat cats in DC and their corporate cronies have teamed up and divided America like it was their own pie and they view the small-business and contract people as the bottom crust-something they are pretty sure they don't really need and that Michelle Obama would warn them against eating.
Those who are satisfied to be peasants to the landed gentry, those who aspire to be court jesters and have table scraps thrown at them are pretty sure that they don't need Sarah Palin in politics.
Oh.
And.
A true anarchist does not support a candidate-not even if it is Ron Paul.
His mom told me that she had to get another copy for him. The other one had the pages inexplicably stuck together.
