MISSOURI VOTERS REJECT OBAMACARE!
by Jim HoftSo far - Prop C is passing by 75% in Missouri.
Missouri rejects the Pelosi-Obama Rationed Health Care Plan
All eyes were on Missouri today. The Show Me voters were voting for or against the new federal health care law.
Missouri showed Obamacare the door.
FOX KC reported:
Election officials are hoping the heat won’t keep people from getting out to vote. One of the hottest races in Missouri is Proposition C. It’s an issue that is getting a lot of attention across the country.
All eyes will be on Missouri’s Proposition C results because it’s the first time voters in the country vote for or against the new federal health care law. Basically Proposition C would create a state law against federal mandates requiring people to buy health insurance.
Missouri’s top U.S. Senate candidates are divided on the measure. If passed, it will will reject part of the new federal health care law. Republicans Roy Blunt and Chuck Purgason both support Proposition C. Democrat Robin Carnahan plans to vote against it.
Christie Herrara has more on Prop C at Big Government.
Republicans today were out in force to vote in the primaries. This likely helped Proposition C in Missouri.
(Ed Note: A Yes vote rejects ObamaCare while a No vote accepts it.)

I guess they found out what's in it. ABORT OBAMACARE!
FANTASTIC! Now, if only Ohio were as smart as Missouri!
F*cking delish! (Please excuse my French). Thank you Missouri for showing the way and for showing us why they call you the "SHOW ME STATE"
Hopefully this is the beginning of major "MO" to repeal this grotesque invasion of personal liberty known as Obamacare.
Marxism never sleeps…. so neither shall I
.
Yea Missouri, I knew you all were smart !
Thank you one and all who voted this monstrosity down !
I'm calling it. The left will report that Missouri is a bunch of redneck hillbillies.
You hear that Barry, Harry & Nancy? That's what the country thinks of this disaster of a health care bill you idiots created. (we can't call it a plan because you didn't even know what was in it). The SCOTUS will ultimately render it impotent.
And so does America.
Yes, a November to remember.
Can't wait to cast my votes……
Oh, that's what democrats do.
DENIED!!! You know what you can do with that gavel now, Madame Speaker!
I guess DoJ couldn't round up enough New Black Klanthers to bus in and intimidate voters at the polls
75%. Do you all have any idea what kind of nightmare that portends in November for libdems in Congress?
Too bad Washington state isn't as smart as those folks in Missouri! The woman occupying the Gov mansion in Olympia just loves B Huessien, his healthcare mess, and anything that gets money from the taxpayers' pockets!
It's now at 55% of precincts reporting, and the numbers are roughly the same.
That's how we do it in the Show Me State, darn it! Makes me proud of where I'm from.
On behalf of Missouri, you're very welcome!
Oh please God, let this vote come to NC soon!
They'd do better to send them to the Ozarks, or here in the Bootheel. That's where all the opposition is coming from; St. Louis is very much under SEIU's thumb.
Voters to Obama, Reid, Pelosi and the rest of you progressive A-holes in congress…YOU'RE FIRED!!!!
T-Rav, if Missouri is under SEIU's thumb and they voted 75% against, I can only imagine what the votes will be like in deep red state country. Can't wait
I smell a smack down coming
so wehn will MO get sued?
Excerpt from Langston Hughes' 'Freedom's Plow'. [Hughes, a true patriot, was born in Missouri]
America!
Land created in common,
Dream nourished in common,
Keep your hand on the plow! Hold on!
If the house is not yet finished,
Don’t be discouraged, builder!
If the fight is not yet won,
Don’t be weary, soldier!
The plan and the pattern is here,
Woven from the beginning
Into the warp and woof of America:
ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL.
NO MAN IS GOOD ENOUGH
TO GOVERN ANOTHER MAN
WITHOUT HIS CONSENT.
BETTER DIE FREE,
THAN TO LIVE SLAVES.
Who said those things? Americans!
Who owns those words? America!
Who is America? You, me!
We are America!
To the enemy who would conquer us from without,
We say, NO!
To the enemy who would divide
And conquer us from within,
We say, NO!
FREEDOM!
BROTHERHOOD!
DEMOCRACY!
To all the enemies of these great words:
We say, NO!

Hey O MO's got your number and its 75%
But we are…and don't forget gun-totin' too
just add god, and obama will shake in his shoes. or should i say bible thumpin?
No, Missouri isn't under SEIU's thumb, just St. Louis (and Kansas City). Still, it doesn't bode well for them, does it?
With a roughly 73/27% split at 10:00, we noticed that the approximate total number of voters for the Rep primary was in the 400,000 range with roughly 250,000 turning out for the Dem primary (based off US senate race numbers). That means that roughly 100,000 or 40% of those Dem primary voters had to have voted yes on C. That assumes every single GOP voter voted yes which is unlikely to be true but our estimate represents the best-case scenario for the Dems. Their own voters don't like the shyte DC be shovelin'.
That was with about 70% reporting, but of course, the local news had to also breathlessly report that the big city vote is usually slower to come in.
I hope they get down to it tomorrow.
great going in mo, too bad i am trapped in il. but hey, blago is out, and quinn looks like he will be needing some unemployment comp soon.
God bless you for leading the way MO! I just hope more states follow your example! Down with Obamacare, down with the Democrats, and down with Obama!
Obama
ROUND 1 of 50 – to "We the People"…
ya forgot racist's
I was gonna say that.
I applaud you MO!
Yippee!!!
" Do you all have any idea what kind of nightmare that portends in November for libdems in Congress? "
Yup, and I am loving it !!!!!
Hard work and sunshine causes that and lilly white elites and CBC elites have never ever done a real days work!
I can't say anything better than all of you above except that picture of Piglosi and gang above makes me want to get my pitchfork and shovel out!! She is the most disgusting human being ever born on this planet. Of course she doesn't care because she has billions of dollars stashed in some offshore account and probably doesn't pay taxes.
The arrogance of these vile corrupt people while we cut coupons and worry where our next dollar is coming from.
I spit on her.
Folks, the word G a y causes your comment to be deleted. Anyway I was saying Woo Hoo Missouri! I wish they would put AZ SB1070 to this kind of vote. I'm excited, ecstatic thrilled for MO but AZ languishes on under the current regime that wants to sue 78 year old Sheriff Joe for doing his job. Can we see November from here? Are we there yet, are we there? I can't wait to see Nutty Pelosi step down from speaker of the house. There is a RINO running against her in SF that is anti war and g h a y friendly but I don't think he would ever say something as stupid as "we have to pass it to find out what's in it" then carry around an over sized gavel. Pelosi makes the craziest of all the trio of evil.
Don't get too happy. The left will find some judge to over turn the will of the people.
Oh great, now everyone in MO is going to be called a Racist in the morning by the MSM. Wear the badge proudly MO.
It's also wrong to say that Prop C completely negates Obamacare. All it really does is attempt to negate the Fed's plan to force us into buying their health insurance or pay a fine/tax if we choose not to. Those who still wish to partake of the wonders of Obamacare are free to do so.
I am so proud to be a citizen of the state of Missouri today!! We have overwhelmingly rejected Obamacare!! They don't call us the "Show Me" state for nothin'! I hope other states will follow…power to the states… power to the people!!!
Hey man, don't try to bring us down just yet!
WOOOO HOOOOO!
Liberty – 1
Tyranny – 0
Thank you Missouri
I'm more interested in the message that it sends to the GOP elitists.
Get the hell away from that Progressive / Socialist / Marxist tendencies that you have and listen to the people.
Having an 'R' next to your name won't save you either! Get a 'T' next to your name!
you forgot te tar and feathers!
I feel that you'll see that the SCOTUS is on the side of Arizona, Virginia, Missouri, et al. The 9th and 10th Amendments will be reasserted.
Oh, I guess Obama will try to sue us now.. bring it on!!!
That is the gist of Obamacare. If the Federal government can't compel you to purchase insurance, then the whole piece of legislation is essentially nullified.
MO……said…….no
Does anyone think that He (O'loser) will get the message??? Anyone…..Anyone….Anyone….Bueller….Bueller
Repeat after me "Return to Sender"
http://www.cafepress.com/politicalstckrs
In total agreement, zebo. It's the political class that needs to fall hard.
Most Excellent good people of Missouri. Unfortunatly the Obama regime will ignore this. PURGE the system in November.
You're probably right but there's no backing down and we're all tired of being talked down to by marxists who have been wrong for over 100 years
Thanks for that, good one!
Anybody but Pelosi she is truly the most hated woman in America, and if I'm wrong about that I don't wanna be right.
Missouri to Obama:
Boom! Taste Our Nightstick!
Well, two suburbs of Kansas City are Liberty and Independence. Of course, another one is named Peculiar, so there you go . . . <grin>
This is wonderful. Hopefully this resounding resolution will stiffen the spine of those Republicans who want to repeal Obamacare, but are afraid to come out and say it because they think the political will doesn't exist.
I hate that picture with Pelosi holding her big gavel. It's like she's flaunting it in front of the people. She did it on purpose to make people who already don't like her angry – just like the way the Black Caucus race baited by needlessly walking through the crowd. I know where I'd like to shove that gavel…
Um, he visited 57 states.
What most of us seem to forget….or neglect to remember is the simple fact that the judiciary has NO MEANS to enforce its diktats. They can rule any way they wish. Unless the executive branch(es) choose to enforce those diktats, they are little more than hot air.
To put it crassly: Fuck the judiciary
I'm not sure what this all means. I suppose Obama will have to sue another state. He'll look pretty stupid suing all 57 states!
Wow. No trolls They must be crying in their Mac N Cheese.
This is really exciting. Gets me jazzed for November!!
I would PAY to be a fly on the wall in the Oval Office and/or Nancy Pelosi's office to hear them throw a hissy fit over this!! Nancy is probably on the ground kicking her feet & holding her breath until she turns blue.
I absolutely LOVE seeing these states like Arizona, MO & Virginia stick it to the Federal gov. We've got to keep it up. There needs to be 50 of these laws passed in each state, as well as lawsuits filed.
And more states passing laws to enforce their own immigration as well.
We need to use their Alinsky tactics against them and just completely overwhelm them. Let the Obama admin spend the last 2 years of his "reign" doing nothing but putting out fires. (Fighting law suits & filing them to fight these state laws).
Yes, I think if we fight out these things now with our current SC before anymore seat changes we might be able to pull our arsses out of the fire!!
Better now than after Obama gets another appointment.
Well, if we loose some with the big cities coming in, it could go down to 2 to 1?? I could live with that!!
I doubt it will get much closer than that.
Good for you!!!
I'm in CA : (
Still I think if we could get it on the ballot, we could have a shot at passing it. It would be a much much closer vote but it could happen. After all, we did pass the CA Constitutional Marriage amendment & Prop 187.
But as soon as the voters pass something good here in CA, the whack job CA courts strike it down.
I love you Missouri!!
God Bless Missouri!
States rights. What a beautiful thing. What an amazingly wonderful job our Founding Fathers did. If it weren't for the careful and brilliant way they structured our government, we would have no chance today.
Once again, I have to say this. Mr. President, whenever you are told no by either the courts or the states…just remember well who set that all up and why.
Just look at it like this Mr. President….every time you are told no by a court or a state, that is like one of the outstanding men who founded this country reaching up from the grave & smacking you upside the head!!
The FIRST of many bitch slaps accross the face of the POS in the oval office. Justice Roberts is gleefully waiting for the Obama team to address the issue in his court. I simply cannot wait……
If Obumacare was put to vote in your state, I wager it would be rejected, maybe not by the same margin as Missouri did, but still rejected. Do you still see Obuma stickers on cars in your state? These eyesores are about as popular around Houston TX as Enron logos. Obuma stickers are even almost gone in the artsy fartsy bistro district.
Another wager I would make is that your Gov is desperately looking for ways to graciously dis-associate herself from this fool.
Yeah, what's wrong with us having choice, too.
Drudge today says:
Blow to O
Mo says No
I sez O
You gotta GO!
Maybe one of the other seven will take him after we get done with him.
Peter Kinder should be commended for filing a lawsuit against Obamacare and for supporting Proposition C, The Healthcare Freedom Act of Missouri, which is a referendum on Obamacare. The Voters of Missouri need to be commended for voting for Proposition C by an overwhelming 3-1margin, sending a message to Washington and the rest of the country of the opposition to Obamacare.
Greg Zotta
Republican Candidate for MO Senate 22
I like that. BUT- the other 49 (56?) better get on board or else the folks running the private insurance companies are going to have quite the problem planning future policy. Seems like the only thing that would break a mixed-bag log jam will be if the Holder's Dept. of Injustice sues and runs MO up to the supremes.
You folks are on the map! Keep up the good work!
Blow to O
Mo said NO
We say O
Has got to GO!
How about being there for the dressing down of the New Black Polekitties- for failing to get on the right bus on time with their nightsticks?
Missouri knew what it was all about
Now that the vote has been cast there is no doubt
Government programs thrust upon us
They think that the population is just plain wuss
And in November they should all be thrown out.
'Got room for any Ohioans? How's the weather over there?
Now, you can't say that MO came down hard on the New Black Polekitties that were heading there for voting station guard duty- 'cause there's no record that they ever made it there……
Every time I see the photo accompanying this article I get so upset because WHERE WERE THE PIGEONS?
There's cure for that, Mam,
It will be available to voters in November.
I invite you and your friends to http://www.asamom.org. The moms of Wash know what they face in the elections and are tryin their best to make a miracle for their state.
We can do this, folks. One state at a time.
Sailin.
Seriously….there is no escaping the loons who have nested there…no escape, no recourse. Run away. Find a better place and GET EVEN….KEEP MOST OF YOUR PAYCHECK, LOL!
The estimated number of businesses and tax refugees fleeing the state just take your breath away, they really do. By the time the real KILLER TAXES kick in….I'll be surprised outside of SF and LA….if there's anyone left but illegals and gov't employees left in California. I've seen folks try for years to reform that state gov't. It's just not gonna happen.
When someone like Stark and Pelosi can win over and over….that says it all. Save yourself, dude. Make a happy, lucrative life somewhere sane.
Call your Governor and AG…..
MAKE IT HAPPEN! LOBBY TO JOIN THE OTHER STATES SUING OBAMA. All any AG and Governor are doin right now is looking for political affirmation……MAKE SURE YOU CALL THEM AND TELL THEM YOU WANT A PIECE OF THAT ACTION, LOL.
Actually the gov't can sue Missouri, and AZ, and Texas, and any other state they want.
But…..at what point does America then ask, Mr President, why aren't you doin YOUR JOB? The economy continues to NOT GET BETTER, Unemployment continues to STAGNATE, the BP well is getting plugged while the war and intell KEEP ON LEAKIN….and all Obama can think to do is sue states cause they don't like the bill Nancy wrote in the broom closet????
At what point do the grownups in BOTH parties take Obama and Holder by the scruff of the neck and tell them to shut up and DO THEIR DAM JOB? Looking toward November…I'd say not long, dude, not long at all.
Good job, Harris!
If you post this in some easy to read and understand form, I'll slap that sucker everywhere I post. Seize the day and the momentum.
man Nov is gonna soooo suck for Dems.
THAT SHOULD BE CARVED IN STONE, SE!
ONE DOWN, 49 TO GO. WHO'S NEXT?
UH you really think Obama's expectin a friendly ear at the SCOTUS…..after his publicly embarrassing, finger waggin CHEAP SHOT he took at them during his SOTU address…..on NATIONAL TV?
Don't hold ur breath on THAT one.
)) I'm hoping AZ can iron out the COURT ENUMERATED kinks in SB1070 so that when it hits the SCOTUS they will have to uphold it, or strike down the Fed law.
Rock meet Hard Place. Obama is getting really good at shooting himself in the foot, lol.
Greg…
GIVE US SOME MISSOURI LINKS TO THESE GOOD FOLKS. IF THEY'RE RUNNIN I'LL DONATE. IF THE PARTICIPATED, I'LL GIVE THEM A BIG OLE HIGH FIVE. THEY NEED TO KNOW WE APPRECIATE THEM!
Hey Missouri folks
GIVE US SOME LINKS TO SEND MONEY TO YOUR GOOD CANDIDATES AND CONGRATULATIONS TO YOUR OFFICIALS FOR THEIR COURAGE!
Hallelujah, I'm so happy about this I could do back-flips !! I'm glad I didn't go out in the hot sun to vote for Prop "C" for nothing. God Bless Missouri !!!!!
So I guess this means Obama will be suing us real soon too hun? Bring it !!!!!
The "Zero" is going to have a lawsuit against every state in the Union pretty soon. The Commie stooge that he is.
Jim Holt,
Thanks for your story but you missed the important analysis that CNN will no doubt reveal to us
– 75% of Missouri voters must be racist!
I try not to be "proud" about anything. But as a Missouri citizen, this day I am very pleased.
Missouri just told Obama and all of his commie-Democrats to stick it where the sun don't shine.
Isn't it beautiful.
I keep hearing the lame-stream-liberal-media saying that this vote was merely symbolic…. for the record, that’s crap. Read Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution and note that there are only a few dozen things the federal government is authorized to do — and health care ain’t one of them.
Now read the 9th and 10th amendments, and see that the states clearly have control in this area, and every area of law that is not specifically provided for in Section 8.
The people of Missouri have spoken, and as of today, ObamaCare is NOT the law in Missouri.
God Bless Missouri !
How I wish I could say that's true, but it isn't! Gregoire is on B Hussein's short list to replace Kagan if she gets on the SCOUS. I would hate to inflict Gregoire on the rest of the country, but I would be happy to be rid of her!
The show me state did what the congress should have, they read the freakin bill. Now they have sent a very clear message, we ain't playin'! Any honest politician (oximoron) seeing this result now headed to their home districts better have an awakening as to what awaits them come November. There is still time for these "self-presevationists" to act when the get back to DC after the August break. They could call for repeal and start over after the elections are over. But even that will not save them. They can thank Nancy, Harry and Barrack for the corner they have painted themselves into.
Hi Texas….
Actually, we looked into moving to Texas years ago!! Just for the record though…I'm not a "dude". LOL
It's really doubtful that we are going anywhere at this point. My husband and I are both CA natives and all of our family live here. Our grown daughters live here too, and there is no way that I am leaving them & my new granddaughter!! Also have a mother starting to get up there in age to look out for. I just can't imagine abandoning everyone! And I doubt moving everyone would work!
We are a support system for our family & extended family. And we have a very strong support group in our community.
There are ways to survive, trust me!!
Yes, taxes and living expenses are high here, but so are wages. When my husband got a job in Texas, it was for almost a 50% wage cut for the same industry. If it weren't for the high equity at the time in our home here, and being able to almost buy a home outright with no mortgage there, we would have never considered taking that kind of income hit.
In the meantime, we are preparing, believe me. There are ways around the system. It starts with producing as much of your own consumable needs as possible. They haven't figured out how to tax that yet! That's our way for now of getting even! We have some close family friends who are on this venture with us together as a community.
At the end of the day, I believe there is a reason we are here & that God wants us here. So we are digging in our heels and getting ready to fight back.
