Defeat Socialism: Save America From the Obama-Pelosi Regime…Draft Sarah Palin for RNC Chair
by Jim HoftDefeat Socialism in America – Draft Sarah Palin for RNC Chair
The bottom line is this…
America is under attack. The progressive left is attempting to forever alter the foundation of this great nation with their record deficits, record spending, record unemployment, corruption, thuggery, assault on liberty and socialist policies. The Obama-Pelosi Regime must be stopped before they destroy this great nation. Republicans need a great and dynamic personality to lead the party in a vigorous offensive against the Socialist agenda of the Progressive Democrat movement. We don’t have time to waste and we can’t afford to lose this battle against the immoral statists destroying our country.
Michael Steele has made too many critical missteps and has failed to lead the party against the radical Socialist agenda of the Progressive Democrat movement. The failure of Chairman Steele to successfully sell Liberty over Socialism, and to cultivate and facilitate those future candidates who can, is emblematic of the dysfunction of the Republican party, a dysfunction which has over the past four years led the party to near-ruin. We need a true and tested leader.
We need Sarah Palin.
The Republican Party needs Sarah Palin. The country needs Sarah Palin to battle the radical progressives in Washington.
We need Sarah Palin.
PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION–
WHEREAS the current Chairman of the Republican National Committee, Michael Steele, has woefully and repeatedly misstepped in his capacity as party Chair, failing to provide the leadership and vision necessary to battle the Progressive Socialist Left’s agenda, and
WHEREAS he has also failed to cultivate and facilitate emerging Conservative candidates who are able to convincingly argue that Liberty is superior to dependence upon the State Apparatus, and
WHEREAS Sarah Palin, by way of radical contrast, consistently and enthusiastically argues on behalf of Liberty, Free Enterprise, Individualism, and a small and Constitutionally limited Federal Government, and
WHEREAS she has also demonstrated an innate affinity with the great majority of Liberty-Loving Americans, a capacity to inspire them to action, and a willingness to act as a National Leader on important Conservative Issues,
THEREFORE, We, the undersigned, submit that Sarah Palin, as soon as is practicably possible, ought to replace Michael Steele
And, follow our website -Draft Sarah Palin – and our Twitter account (draftsarah4RNC) for updates.

God Bless America…God Bless the American Patriots exposing the radical transformational Leftists and their attempt to destroy our Liberty, and our Founding Fathers honor.
Works for me, she has the balls to fight back aggressively. And my God, the liberals heads would explode…what fun.
I signed on!!!! Got to love Sarah, she speaks her mind, has principles, experience, and believes in the Constitution. And to toss a bone, she can produce her birth certificate. LMAO…. (sorry some humor in the mix from moi)
Even though I love Palin, like Rush said, the Dems are waiting for the RNC to kick out Steele so they can say that we're the ones that are being racist. We need to be careful here.
I agree Stan, I'm giggling at the thought!
Yes, if you disagree with Obama's troop increases in Afghanastan, you must be unpatriotic.
You must agree with Obama, McCain, Liebermann, and Lindsey Graham to be the head of the RNC.
There are going to be a wide range of opinions on this, even from conservatives. I'm a Palin fan for the most part, but I'm wondering if the RNC could use someone that most of the country hasn't already made their mind up on. People either love her or hate her, and I don't know if the RNC needs someone who won't have an easy time converting people from one side to the other.
Then again, many conservatives that have abandoned the RNC might feel more comfortable throwing them cash when they haven't been recently.
Either way, like it or not, Palin is pretty polarizing right now, and she already has huge influence through her PAC without being RNC chair. And though there are reasons that can excuse her endorsement of McCain, there's a little fear in me that she might endorse other RINO's as RNC chair where there will be a lot more inside pressure.
I think it would be better for the RNC's bank account, but I'm not sure it would be better for the party. I guess we'll have to see how this pans out, but either way, Steele has to go, and quick like.
Why does the left HATE Sarah?
Why do moderates feel as though something is wrong with Sarah?
Because the zeitgeist is socialism and Sarah is the antithesis of socialism.
Anyone who is moderate to any degree is simply Communist lite.
An open minded person is one who is too lazy to form an opinion.
Conservatism is thought to be uncompassionate but it is more compassionate then the end result of socialism.
Sarah is not afraid to voice her conservative opinion and therefore gives voice to all of us who love the truth.
The Hell with all the lefties, progressives and moderates (Yea, I mean YOU moderate republicans like steel)
Remember the Dylan song. The Times they are a changin?
Well don't stand in the door just get out of the way, you moderate lose minded lilly brained nice guy republican.
Take a stand or get off
Let's give them their favorite target and then let's all stand behind her.
Yeah, Dems calling "racism" … does anyone really care anymore when they do that? It's rather like crying "wolf" these days.
A fantastic improvement over Steele. Bravo!
I have to disagree with you somewhat, Flexo, not everyone who is moderate is Communist lite. Some people hold very conservative views on some things and much more liberal views on others; IMO, that's what makes them "moderate" as there is no middle ground on many of the issues we face today. And the liberal definition of "open-minded" may lead to being too lazy to form your own opinion, but I think it really means that you are intellectually honest enough to grasp an idea that differs from your own and examine it critically to determine how it compares to your own beliefs and opinions. I do it all the time, and while my opinions and beliefs have not changed in many places, I have become steadily more libertarian in other aspects as a result.
They don't get to define the debate. Besides, they're ALREADY calling all of us racists. They do it so often that it has lost all meaning. Keeping someone in a job that they suck at just because of their color is just as racist as not hiring them because of their color.
Steele is a HUGE part of conservative failures and was chosen by the "big tent" RINO progressives. It is way past time to clean house and reboot with leaders that believe in OUR REPUBLIC and not a democracy.
Individual freedom, liberty and life is what We the Citizens want, need and require.
It is time to "JUST DO IT"!!!
Or else we need to grow a pair, tell the left that they have played their last ridiculous race card- now they can go jump in a lake, and that we are putting into that office the person who best represents the GOP's ideals. Sarah, for one thing, has not hosted a GOP fundraiser at a bondage party. Slimey Steele has. Dr. Martin Luther King told us that character matters. Steeles' character is suspect. Sarahs' isn't . Black Panther Shamear is telling everyone that they should kill crackers. Sarah isn't telling us to kill panthers. Call them on their stupid race card bluff and on their character deficit.
Great Idea!!!!!!! Let's do it now dump steele, what a jerk!!!!!!!!!
You conveniently ignore the fact that she vociferously supported John McCain…a RINO. You can't have it both ways and something doesn't add up with her.
you can't do that!!!!!! she's white annnnnnd female!!!!! but it would make the demonCRAPS/liberals krazy……okay do it!!!! she's has bigger cajones than mikey TINFOIL does anyway….
Be prepared for major polarizing this November. Our country won't move out of the Obamunist quagmire without it. Once you find that a majority of independents will vote for America above and beyond ralley-of-the-moment-white-guilt, will you then acquiesce to the fact that sometimes polarizing is what is needed?
All it takes for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing.
And you are right, Steele has to go.
I think both political parties have too many corrupt, self-serving politicians in them. Therefore, I'm hoping Sarah doesn't take on a position where she is raising money for dishonest people–regardless of what party they belong to. I think she has too much integrity and common-sense to do this. Let's defeat Socialism by either electing Sarah as President, or by another way.
[...] BigGovernment) The petition to draft Sarah Plain, is on: WHEREAS the current Chairman of the Republican National [...]
She also supported Joe the Plumber, the Tea Parties, and the Republican Party.
You can't have it both ways either. We need to support people who are good people, regardless of whether they have some socialism or not. Because like it or not, we aren't going to kill all socialism overnight.
Good point and a realistic concern, but the Progressive/Socialist have used the Racism card at every turn to secure more power. Thats why we have a bogus and problem census report coming out and why the Progro/Socials want to encourage more illegal immigration (which hmmm, if you oppose makes you a racist anyhoo), to gain more political power and take away our liberties. Time to grow some tougher skin, and point out how their side is the real racist and violent ones.
I like Sarah, but my choice would be Liz Cheney.
The war in Afghanistan is being fought by politicians. Same damned mistake we made in Vietnam.
I don't give a damn WHO is in charge, just as long as they have the stones to let the military fight the war with everything we have. Carpet bomb the whole damned country, strategic nukes, napalm the friggin' mountains, just stop being so sissy-ish/PC/sensitive and WIN the war!!!
The way we're fighting it now, we'll be there for the next 2 decades.
I think RNC chair is a much better position for her than a run for POTUS… and yeah, watching the libtard heads exploding over the idea will be a ton of fun to watch – I'm in!
Yep, I agree. Wait until Steele's term expires. I have to admit, Steele has been a huge disappointment to me, I thought he'd do a much better job standing up for conservative values. I guess his encounter with ACORN/Soros in the Ohio 2006 debacle scarred him more than we realized.
you may be correct…..but you folks from minisoda sent frank'n'beans to d.c……
Not with THAT attitude, we won't! My daddy always said "I can't" never did a damned thing. He was right.
"……something doesn't add up with her." Please flesh out this remark. What do you suspect?
Would appreciate further detail. Gut-feeling or other?
Nice Hobbes,,,,,,,,,thought provoking. Liz for the front 'man', Sarah as the cheerleader.
My husband likes Sarah, but thinks that as a mom of young children–she should stay home and raise her family first.
I go back and forth about Sarah. She is a force to be reckoned with and did a good job campaigning for the Republican women this set of primaries, but I don't like the way she campaigned for McCain either.
Morning Hobbes! I like Liz too or even Michelle Bachman.
I'm perfectly fine with polarizing, and you're right, it's totally necessary for the country right now, but in the case of the RNC, they're reputation could handle having someone that doesn't already have 40%+ of the country disliking her greatly, including many right leaning folks.
I just think she's making a great impact right where she is, and the RNC could pick someone just as fiery, but that the general public hasn't totally made their mind up about already. At least they would have a chance to bring some new people to the fold. Many people just tune Palin out.
Wait–Michelle Bachman might do us better somewhere else.
More of a gut feeling than anything concrete. All of the little missteps she's made since the campaign have a cumulative effect on my confidence in her. I'm not expecting perfection in anyone, but some of the situations she's been in give me pause. I'm not discussing any more detail than that…my purpose is not to run the lady down. I'm just saying that I have my reservations concerning her.
I love that idea! Liz Cheney for RNC chair…knowing how the left feels about her father (and I adore him) would have as much head imploding impact as Sarah and yet she is much more saavy and, as someone said, not already a polaring figure….someone get THAT going and I will sign on!
[...] the rest of this great post here Comments (0) Posted in President Obama [...]
Fair enough on the harshness of such a comment as Moderate is Communist lite.
Might want to read a book called Americas 30 years war on a good explanation of that comment.
In this way I am Libertarian.
I believe in allowing a person to think and do what they think is right, or even what they want, without the constraints of Government intervention. (When I say Government I mean the people who think they know better in the Nanny state)
In this way I am Conservative. Give me back my Constitution and return to the original constraints of Government.
Conciliatory politics only works with honest people and I am afraid there are few if any in our Government offices today.
How about Fred Thompson for chair? He has experience herding cats, which is required for the job. Sarah should continue to be a free-range lib-slayer.
Fred Thompson would be fine, Colonel West would be better and Cheney would be best. Palin is too polarizing and is best utilized as the hatchet woman/fund raiser.
Yes your right I did.
I don't understand why she did such a thing.
He is exactly the moderate I am talking about.
But look at him… he has redeeming qualities…its just his politics I don't like.
Same with Newt sitting down with Pelosi on …Climate Change?
But Sarah's political sins don't out weigh her political savvy the way McCain's do.
It sure wouldn't break my heart if Sarah was RNC chair. But, I like the position she has now…which is no official position at all. Regular folks don't trust anybody in an official position anymore….we trust Sarah.
I don't trust the RNC anymore with my money…only contribute to the candidate.
My vote would go to J.C. Watts…..smart ,conservative, trustworthy and had the integrity to keep his promise to his family of only serving a couple of terms in the House…..like our founders wanted.
How's this: Those that consider themselves "moderate" are really Communist Lite.
I'm a libertarian, and I'm pretty extreme. My positions are firm, thought they lie on both parties platforms. I'm not a Republican or a Democrat, but I'm certainly not a "moderate".
"its just his politics I don't like. "
That's a pretty big sticking point in choosing a politician!
"Sarah's political sins don't out weigh her political savvy the way McCain's do. "
I'm not following the logic here. McCain has FAR more political skill and muscle than Sarah ever did. Being a Governor is a totally different situation from being a mover and shaker in the US Senate.
Both of them have "screwed the pooch", so you're choosing the one with the least experience? Quite frankly, I wouldn't choose either of them…I'd be looking for someone better in the first place.
I've sent Steele numerous emails…to date none have even been acknowledged…not surprising with the volumes he probably receives. Steele has failed in MHO but so have the RHINO's who claim to be members of the GOP. I'd like to see Lt. Col West as Chairman…he has courage, is a true patriot, and is willing to stand up to what is going on!!

Sarah Palin, in her own words.

All that matters to me is that we get someone who will steer the Republican party back to true conservatism and fiscal responsibility. We don't need party leadership that continues to pander for the liberal voters. We need to strongly educate America about true Constitutional values and how government is really supposed to work as laid out by our founders. We need to expose the lies of the left and explain why they are lies. We need to jump on the wagon with the Tea Party ideals and once again make our country the worlds leader instead of the worlds laughing stock.
As I write this, I am listening to this amazing woman on video on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnHUF8hzJcs After hearing her I have an even stronger faith that we will prevail over the parasites.
http://www.teapartyexpress.tv/
OH YEAH! But, I'd rather see that dude as President. Chair of the RNC would be like making Einstein a 1st grade math teacher. Although, it wouldn't take him long to clean up the mess, would it?
Palin or Cheney would be both good choices and would nudge the RNC to the right. Not sure if Palin wants a paycut though…
Steele is an OK Republican, but he is hardly a conservative, and he has a high gaffmeter rating, right up their with Obiden.
Steele seems to be the Republican equivalent of the dimwitted, gaff-prone Joe Biteme(Biden)
And Sarah would be fantastic. It would drive the Dems up the wall. Steele should serve out his term so it won't appear we're being mean to a Black guy.
Only Dems can do that.
While I agree the RNC needs a new chair, I'd be opposed to drafting Palin. I like Palin but the chair can't become part of the story. Palin is a lightening rod to the left and it would take away from the RNC plank. I favor Haley Barbour but I doubt he'd become the chair again as he's the governor of Mississippi.
I don't get this petition. Steele has less than six months left in his term, national elections are four months away, and the primary job of the RNC chair is fundraising. Is the idea to remove Steele from the position before his term expires? While Ms. Palin is an unbelievable fundraiser, can even she make up for Steele's lackadaisical efforts inside a four-month window during which the RNC will be spending huge sums, too? Moreover, do we want the political turmoil that goes along with an ouster?
Despite being well-intentioned, any idea that revolves around deposing Steele at this point in time seems ill-considered and fraught with downsides (or, at a minimum, few – if any – upsides). Removing Steele at this stage of the game is, at best, an impotent solution to the immediate problem of Steele's gaffes and his fund-raising failure. If popular sentiment desires Palin as head of the RNC, she should be solicited to submit her name for the regular RNC chair election.
If
We need a fund raiser… Not, a very capable but somewhat bland ideologue
That's the truth! It's about time the RNC stop expecting the Left to like us. Fringe liberals and their media enablers can't even act like decent human beings.
I have always liked Michael Steele… but I can't understand the target he has created on himself and the problems that follow. He is supposed to help the conservative cause. I don't agree with the idea that he needs to stay because he's black. It's not an affirmative action position and to keep him there for that reason is an insult to all black Americans.
Now Sarah Palin would be a blessing in more ways than one. If you really want the Republican Party to come home to the true conservative movement… if you really want to clear up any thought that the Tea Party and the GOP are not together in this fight… She can and would bring us all together. My only concern is that Sarah wants to run for President in 2012… and this position may take her out of that. Plus she may be having just too good of a time in her current position. I would support her whatever she decides.
And where are all the anti-war protestors?! Anyone who misses the hypocrisy of the left is deaf, dumb and blind –
Ger rid of Steele and screw being labeled a racist, like THAT bothers us at this point! I AM racist, against white/black elitist Anti-American pols – who cares???
I asked weeks ago for someone to tell me what the hell we are doing in afganastan (sp) truth be told, nobody really knows! Do the damn jjob or get the hell out, this is NOT a big mystery – you are correct Larry, it's a battle for the pols, which is a lose lose proposition – sounds like everything else barry touches, LOSE/LOSE -
Sarah Palin has shown she has great influence among the electorate. The last thing we want to do is hamstring her in the role of RNC Chair. She is far more dangerous to the Dems as long as she remains a type of loose cannon. Don't ruin a good thing by formalizing her role in the RNC.
Maximum damage to the National Socialist Party on a daily basis. I love the idea of Sarah Palin as the chair of the RNC. She would not be running for office, but boy she would smell out the Rino's and make the Communist go crazy. I like it.
I always liked her jabs at Barry Soetero. He would try and do a come back and would look and sound stupid. I think she squarely kicked him in the groin on those exchanges. Even his recent come back of "We can't just drill baby drill" is hollow once you know Barry is using it to destroy the economy and enslave people through Cap & Tax.
Liz Cheney is "somewhat bland"?
The difference is a Governor has to DO something……..while a Senator talks about DOING something …then compromises…..
Agreed, if we aren't going to fight this to win it then get the hell out. Just "being there" is needlessly killing our men and women in the military.
But then again, when in the hell did Barry ever give a damn about our military. . .
No one is really listening to them anymore and PC is dead.
Go Sarah.
only when he holds them captive for his filthy words – case in point, 4th of July and him giving a speech from a BALCONY!! and talking crap about the founding fathers, big shock – NOT
got cha, thx for reply L4S
There are a lot of people that could do that job better than Michael Steele. The man that he defeated (Ken Blackwell) would be a fantastic choice and should have been the GOP Chairman.
With that said, I don't think that Sarah would take the job if offered. She's got her sights on a much bigger job. If she gets the job as the GOP Chair, then she's pigeonholed and won't be nearly as effective on her own. She is too smart for that.
As for me, I think anyone that wants her in that job is either thinking too shallowly or has an ulterior motive for doing so.
NOT!!!!!!!!!!
I wouldn't support Sarah Palin for anything, and I'm a conservative. But more than once she has supported RINOs rather then the true conservative, such as Carly Fiorina in California who has ties to Obama, and supported Barbara Boxer. And in Oaklahoma, conservatives wanted Randy Brogdan, and she threw in for the RINO Mary Fallin.
Palin works AGAINST true conservatism. Dump her like a HOT POTATO.
Excellent reply, Sanity
They don't GET to call the shots. Scream racism all they like. Just reply by running that Black Panther tape 24/7! Send it out to every registered voter via email!
Stand up and fight, you GOP wussies! My baby granddaughter could deliver a knock out punch to the Republican party and not even get a bruise!
Grow a pair, you equivocating, poll addicted, groveling weasles!
You called it, OCG…..
This party is being handed a 1994 style rout of Dems by we the people and the squander that gift and shot themselves in the foot at every opportunity. Steele….bondage parties, private jets, and they expect us to "help" get their candidates elected by what???? Sending Steele and them more money???
Idiots. What so frustrating is that Obama is losing big and congress is handing the election to Repubs on a platter and these GOP idiots cannot even figure out how to capitalize on that.
Says way more about the party than I want to know right now. Way more.
My opinion is no I don't think she should be head of the RNC. Her value is greater outside the constraints of that position. She should continue to do what she is doing and gather experience on the world stage to make her more polished. Within the next ten years she should be sufficiently poised to make a run for a worthy office in a national race.
Gentle Readers,
I like Sarah Palin, but I like Michael Steele too!
All Chairman Steele did was commit the unpardonable election year sin of speaking the plain truth. Since 9/11 the U.S. has under-resourced the Afgan Theatre. Pres. Bush made Iraq the priority, and Pres. Obama has arbitrarily cut troop levels, set pullout dates and imposed difficult ROE, all based on domestic political concerns, not advice from the JCS. Over the past 9 years we've provided $24 billion in aid to the Afgans, but that is less than $250 million/month. The Afgans requested aid to build a 400,000 man army & Pres. Obama arbitrarily reduced that to 240,000. For all you've heard about ' Afgan corruption ' they've done alot with very limited resources.
Mr. Steele told the truth, & Republicans and Democrats both share some blame here.
Honest people in Washington are becoming scarce: We really can't spare this man!
Kindest Regards,

Screw the DNC. The word rascist has lost all effect and WE need to do something to get the RNC off the potty-training toilet.
Gentle Readers,____One of the problems we face right now is that the Democrats have won the past 2 elections ( 2006 & 2008 ) on terms under which they cannot govern the country.____They want carbon taxes to reduce CO2 emissions & cheap gas for peoples cars: they demand solar & wind energy & conservation but there will be nothing to conserve on a still night. They demand CO2 reductions but refuse to utilize hydroelectric and atomic power – the proven zero-carbon energy sources. They cut Defense and expand the war in Afganistan. They seek to extend unemployment benefits while refusing to crack down on employers hiring illegally.____I could go on: but the point is this: Mr. Steele, as Chairman of the RNC is attempting to prevent the Republicans from making this same mistake. When the RNC wins in this election cycle, it must then govern. To succeed where the Democrats have failed we must have coherent, rational, workable policies.____We should be grateful to Mr. Steele, and personally, I find the man to be a tonic! Invigorating! He speaks the plain truth and presents workable, real world alternatives!____Honestly: I really like the guy!____- J Lepant
No one said he never told the truth or tried to do the job. He just doesn't have what it takes to be a chairman of a party thats totally lost. He doesn't have 'chutzpah" . He can't lead or direct. Period.
The RNC has had enough airheads at the helm. They don't need another one in Palin.
As to Fiorina, the last thing the R's need is to elect FIorina, one of the original lawyers for the Black Panthers. She's worse than a RINO.
Screw the Dems. We need Sarah now. Steele can then go back to his clubs and play.
Peony,
Energizing the RNC would take more C4 explosives that we have in the war zone and every drone we own. Complacent looks ADHD compared to this collection of dull blades.
Somethin is up, peony. Nobody is this stupid at the national level. I see NEWT has dropped off the radar, lost weight, and picked up a nice tan.
HEAD'S UP!
We're bein primed to get screwed by the RNC. They think this is 1994 all over again and we're gonna deliver all the power back to them so they can save us….AGAIN….just like they did then.
OH WAIT. THEY DIDN'T.
Lay down with dawgz….don't come bitchin to me bout the fleas.
The petition is cathartic to those that are dissatified with Steele's performance. Palin would not take the job, I believe. She, as a lightning rod, is the de-facto leader of the conservative resergence. The real leader of the conservatives/Republicans will emerge in 2011.
On a separate note, peony, I would like your input.
I'm seriously….and I mean that….McCain's never gonna change and Hayworth is WAY LESS THAN IMPRESSIVE OR MUCH DIFFERENT. Is Deakin even still in the race or expected to survive the primary? If so what would you think of a Deakin vote as a STRIKE vote?
I know voting is serious…Gawd don't I. But given two crummy choices what's your advice? I don't want to give the Dem an advantage, but voting Deakin seems the only moral choice and the Tea Party keeps sayin if we don't do somethin different for the right reasons, we'll always get the same thing.
Hit me with it….
Being from Arizona, and wanting to retire John McCain, my only other choice is JD Hayworth. I'm not sure which is worse! Would love some advice from you all!
Excellent! When I get the clue that an IntenseDebator can tell the difference between the representative republic and a democracy, I get so excited that I nearly want to start following that person…..except that I haven't signed on to follow anyone because I don't have the time to read all of the postings. Keep up the good stuff, fellow analyst!
Kudos to Jim Hoft for getting the discussion going!
Ask John McCain if he will check the arizona voting list for legal aliens and illegal aliens. Ask JD Hayworth if he will as well.
Tell them whoever checks and removes the alien vote will get your vote. It will be like voting a million times!
Whoever is in charge of the Republican party should do one job, for the honor of our country. We need to take a stand on immigration and aliens. That is – we need to explicitely reject any support to the Republican party from voters who are not citizens, and we need to remove them from the voting lists if they are on them.
This is a huge deal, and there are potentially millions of votes at stake. Obama is pushing amnesty now to continue to pander to unlawful voters! And we are just watching the republican party ignore it! I estimate about 3-5 million voters (3% of the total) are unlawful voters.

You are exactly right! It's been the party going after the liberals and moderates that has caused it to lose such an enormous part of its conservative base, which is the reason it is now floundering. The whole IDEA of two parties is their opposing views. If they are no longer in opposition, it leaves an entire ideology (i.e. millions of people) totally unrepresented. And I believe it has now come to the point where it is the actual MAJORITY that is unrepresented. You are right also, in regard to jumping on the Tea Party Wagon. I read comments on so many sites saying how they can't support so and so because of one particular point, but that is exactly what will divide us, and in so doing, leave us once again unrepresented. We have to COME TOGETHER, which may mean some compromise with each other, but that certainly beats compromising with the liberals!
Gentle Readers,
Dear copperpeony,
Thank you for the favor of your reply.
On the contrary: When Mr. Steele took over the RNC, Republicans were reeling from the losses of 2006 & 2008, and the Demo's were predicted to be in power for at least 50 years.
Mr. Steele turned that all around. Gotta give him credit for turning around the RNC, and personally, I give him credit for attempting, unlike the Democrats, to establish rational policies for governance. Every poll shows Republicans winning in 2010, thanks in no small part to Mr. Steele.
However, once we win, we have to govern. This man is hard working, honest ( possibly to a fault, but honest ), and plans ahead.
Sincerely,
John
That is an overly simplistic analysis of the situation. Senators make National policy. Governors make State policy. Senators also serve on crucial committees. Their jobs are virtually identical; with the Senators having as much or more overall responsibility than Governors. You may not like it, but those are the facts.
Fill me in on Hayworth. I already know everything I need about McCain. You are right to want to put "the maverick" out to pasture. He was an honorable warrior who lost his way at some point. I'd like to see him retired before he REALLY tarnishes his legacy.
The LAST thing the GOP needs is for him to make another failed run at the presidency. We also don't need him selling us out in the Senate at a critical juncture. I'm a long way from AZ, but I'd love to help you sort out this mess if I could.
OK…Be mean to the Black guy…
What I mean is Liz is not Sarah…Do I have to spell it out?
When have we had an RNC chair that was not a go-along, get-along DC Insider? With the dems calling for Steele's ouster, it's time to nominate someone who is not cut from the same boring cloth. What we need is a rock ribbed conservative with name recognition to that effect, and Sarah Palin fits the bill perfectly. What's more, she's another member of the Democrats' prized victim groups, not that we care about that sort of thing, but we gotta reach out to the dem-rats somehow.
Maybe that's what you should have said. You certainly didn't make that clear in your obviously ignorant evaluation of Liz. And, in the words of Vice-President Bite-Me, do you always have to be a smart-ass.
Yep, Michelle is a jewel that we need to keep in Congress.
Not too mention the RINO heads exploding too!
I love Sarah Palin, and I'm beginning to detest Michael Steele.
However, I can't rub those two facts together and start a fire for Palin as RNC Chair.
We need a replacement for Steele, certainly. That replacement should be someone who is more politically savvy and possessed of more credentials than Ms. Palin.
I wouldn't use C4 anyway. Much prefer the slower burn of chickenshit and diesel fuel, AKA ANFO.
Steele: if you are reading this, please resign now. Just walk away dude. Go to the strip club and get a lap dance man, you deserve it. Afterall, you have been giving the Democratic Party lap dances at our expense and that $hit has to stop.
Put Fred Thompson in to ride herd over the RINO's and boot them out. Purify the Party. NOW. The big tent business needs to end as the period from 2000-2008 proves it.
Fred: if you are reading this, step up man!
