At National Tea Party Convention Sarah Palin tells the crowd, “We need a Commander in Chief not a law professor.”
Sarah Palin at the National Tea Party Convention spoke about President Obama’s national security policies. She told the president that our military is to be applauded not apologized for.
Sarah gave a great speech to her tea party supporters tonight in Nashville. She offered plenty of red meat mixed in with her common sense free market message. Sarah makes a great spokesman for the movement in that she represents your typical hardworking, patriotic, sincere, God-fearing American that is so often overlooked by the media elites and our “betters” in Washington DC. It was an historic evening and Sarah put on a great show.
What a great time.
Sarah Palin urged tea party protesters to help reshape and rebuild the Republican Party. Sarah Palin would make a great leader of that party.

The more hate the left hefts upon this woman and the TEA party movement the more encouraged I become. Whether or not Sarah rises does not matter. This movement is better off without a defined leader. I watched the speech tonight and honestly, I didn't hear anything new. The first time I saw her on the national front, I was very impressed. I think the McCain "machine" was bad for her. I heard recently she was actually going to go to AZ to support McCain in the next election….. that's when I lost some respect for her. I didn't care for parts of her speech when speaking to the audience she referred to "WE" as though she had anything to do with the Tea Parties. I love her conservative values, and if she stood for the principles that the nation wide Tea Party organizations stand for, why is she supporting McCain who is the Biggest RINO of them all? I think it would be best if she runs for the next open Senator seat in Alaska and actually make a difference for the country before she even attempts to run for a higher office. (I'm still a bit confused about the $100K speaking fee, just to turn it back…. why take it if you are going to give it back?)

The way I view it is thus:
Won't revel his birth certificate—therefore it must be damming.
Won't revel his school records–therefore must be very poor.
Won't revel his methods of passing bills–therefore must be illegal.
I believe if there were nothing to hide–it would be out in the open.
Hence if you are hiding things, they are things you are either ashamed of or they would count against you.
Since what he says and does in public have proven him a liar and fraud what he is hiding must really be bad.
As many have in the past year or so I have pondered Sarah Palin as president. Does she have what it takes, the knowledge, experience, The savvy? I'm not sure that I have a sufficient answer to those questions, but I have concluded that she could be the next great president of the US. What I believe Sarah has, that is sorely lacking in the current administration, is a deep love of country and American values mixed with a healthy dose of common sense. She talks about America in a manner that lifts the country while Mr. Obama seems intent on apologizing at every opportunity for the country's shortcomings while going out of his way to praise Muslims, Islam, and anything anti-American.
No one president can do it alone, but with the right people behind her I believe she could return the country back to the path of liberty. Much Like Ronald Reagan, she is a person of great character who loves this country and wants to pass the blessings of liberty on to her children.
Sarah's is right on with her policies, but speech-wise she comes off as guarded, stiff and repetitive. I think she is nervous and sometimes she just talks and talks without stopping to think first. Here is some advise for Sarah…Sarah, it's ok to pause and take a breather and stop to think. You don't have to fill up every second with talk.
I read where 1 out of 5 people in this country have mental disorders. That explains the 20% liberals.

She is not the worlds greatest speaker for sure, but I award her bravery to stand up and speak regardless of her nervousness or fear of appearing foolish. We, as Americans, need to stop falling in love with great orators and charismatic personalities and instead start taking a hard look at what a person is made of, their true beliefs and values. Sarah is the real deal where it matters most, her heart.

After taking so many shots, it's hard for most anyone to just let loose.
I understand Palin's day job to be a commentator at Fox News. Isn't the ability to speak about issues off the cuff kind of the primary qualification for the job?
As an orator, Palin doesn't hold a candle to the bright beacon of Ronald Reagan. Where Palin and Reagan are similar is in their conviction to a smaller government and their dedication to their conservative principals. Reagan never wavered and so far, neither has Palin. Palin should NOT make herself a candidate to be president in 2012 nor do I believe she has a burning desire to do so. Palin can do a lot to help candidates that meet her criteria in the near tern and in the meantime, hone her message and delivery for 2016 if the person elected in 2012 is not suitable. The Tea Party movement should continue to extol her many virtues just because it drives the liberal elite and the MSM so crazy, but they need to get focused on their own message so an acceptable candidate can emerge.
I have loved Sarah from when she was still a Governor but she is trying to be too politically correct. If I could could inject some of the "chutzpah" that the Mayor of Nevada has into her blood, then she would be a tigress. She came out of the cesspool of the presidential campaign, showered and is taking a path down a new road because she BELIEVES in this country. We'll see if she can withstand the progressive smear machine which is bigger and uglier than during the campaign.
I've said it before though, no matter what her personal relationship with McCain, she needs tol lose him. He will not be good for her political aspirations.

She is a woman from a small town in Alaska which has had a simple statement about being able to see Russia from Alaska (something that is true BTW) spun into "I can see Russia from my back porch". We have encouraged politicians to make decisions for us without our input, because we were too busy with our lives and trying to make a living to make them do the right things for not only their voters but for our Nation. Most times we just voted for the party or voted on who had the slickest speeches or who could tell the best lies. We must turn that around and start taking charge of our future and our children's future by managing and directing our representatives. We must not allow people who do not espouse and embrace American ideals and love themselves more than our Republic to be in public service at any level, local, county, state or federal. Socialism and worse will befall us if we fail.
If we don't act now America as we know it will perish.

How rich that she read her talk in a sing-song voice as she ripped Barack Obama for using a Teleprompter. Once she left the speech for the Q&A, she really went off-message, as well as nearly off-English. (Even though it looked like, at one point, she was reading answers off of her hand.) "They're not knowin what are we gonna do if we don't have Tea Party support" was one of my favorite head-scratchers, a great echo of "when Putin rears his head."
It's not a black president we object to… I think Dr. Condaleeza Rice would have made an excellent president. What we object to is an inept, incompetent, irresponsible, boneheaded president and we would object to that if he were purple.
