Ok,pay attention here.If a movement has , as its aims, a plan to subvert the Constitution(which theocratic Muslims would do, to implement Shariah Law, which I suppose is what you're driving at),should they have the same religious political freedoms(?, meaning UNABRIDGED Freedom of Speech,?)?Once again, I'm not sure of your purpose in asking a question such as that.If the Muslims are citizens of the U.S. they enjoy Rights provided by our Constitution. Nothing personal, but your understanding of our Constitution(Bill of Rights and the Amendments), as well as the Declaration of Independence, is rudimentary at best.You've got plenty to learn, that's all.
Which form of governance I advocate for our country is unknown to you,obviously.Please don't pretend to know my thoughts.I'm fine with a Representative Federal Republic, as envisioned by the Framers.You erroneously stated we have a Democracy, how common.The FF's knew that sometimes democracy can degenerate into mob rule, the general populace being quite volatile, at times.This is why we have the system of checks and balances.
Questions?I'd be happy to teach you about our Constitution, our FF's and politics in general, especially the genesis of organic movements. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,Hanzo

Would you like for me to cite to yourself just a few of the literally thousands of references, including SCOTUS decision which stated that How many times is it stated that our Rights our GOD-GIVEN, not granted by government or other MEN. That way our God-given Rights cannot be taken away, as a privelege may be, by some nameless, faceless bureaucrat, acting on a whim from afar.
You're lucky that you've got God-given Rights.We are all lucky for this fact. Our Constitution was based on Christian principles, fact and not debatable……..

What you advocate is the very thing that is going on right now all over America, where religious groups are taking over, or have already taken over the Republican party, in the pursuit of a theocracy, this is their goal, and they make no bones about it!! I know you say that you do not want a theocracy, but this is the very road that we are on.

Scalia's claim that "government derives its
authority from God" (as opposed to the people?) and it doesn't seem unreasonable to worry that we're inching toward some form of theocracy in the United States. But every step toward theocracy is a step away from freedom and progress. If our democracy is to remain healthy, political movements based on religion really must be resisted.
