Now if this young girl in New Jersey was wanting to look at GLSEN sex books in class then Jennings would no doubt be all over it.
But, since it was a Christian Bible she’s out of luck.

agree 1000%……..you should have Jennings seek justice in public forum to denounce the reading of the bible, while also defending those pedophile pamphlets he authorized to young students in public schools from GLSEN….yeah, have him defend GLSEN and oppose the use of the Bible in public schools…..hmmmm…..hmmmmmm……hmmmmmmm

We will never see the return of accepting Christianity as a normal lifestyle in this country. The left has so maligned us that most secular people think we are bumbling, idiotic, extremists. There are only two groups that are safe to pick on in this PC world, over weight people and Christians.
There is no way Jennings will protect this girl. She represents is the antithesis of his lifestyle, though she would never shove it in his face like he would hers.

I wouldn't want this so called Safe Schools czar near any child! I've never seen more nauseating articles where he is concerned, in my life. He is a danger to any child, with the garbage he seems to think is appropriate for school age children.
Well, we know WHAT he is, we just need to know the price. Now we do..

I would love to believe that. But it is very difficult to take an educational system that has been entrenched to abhor anything remotely Christian for the last thirty years or more and turn it toward tolerance by an ideological group that has been brainwashed to believe we are evil.
I am also not so sure we are going to be able to pull out of this stall…

Mine went too, but even in private or parochial schools, a bit of lefty garbage can sometimes get through.
When my kid was in boarding school, someone took a poll and while many of the teachers were Libs ( and no, almost none of them preached it; thank GOD ! ), the vast majority ( something like 99% ) of the students were CONSERVATIVE.
As Christians we need to have the love of Christ in our hearts and not be shoving it in the face of those who do not want it. Let's live it, not just preach it. I agree that Christian's are "fair game" to all, but it's been that way a long time…remember the crucifixion! "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do!" Does this apply to us down in this age too?
I agree with your assesment of the education system completely, but I continue to hope that American parents will wake up to this problem and begin to assert themselves in their childrens local school systems. My kids are grown, if they weren't I would be quite active to say the least…

My children are also grown and one is wanting to teach College level in the Theatre Arts. I am fully behind her pursuit knowing full well she is of a conservative mindset. I am challenging her to think of it as a mission in life, to bring Theatre Arts back to a place where the family can come and enjoy the stage without being assaulted with the propaganda the is being produced today. It is going to take a lot of people encouraging, thinking and committing this way to make a change.
My only disagreement I guess is it will take a long, long time before there is a turn in attitudes towards Christians and it may already be to late. Maybe I am menopausal today and feeling a bit pessimistic. The sir is a woman…. ; )

First apologies are in order for my lack of PC sensibilities… LOL l do feel though the problem is far worse than merely tolerance but actual curriculum. They don't teach history and civics anymore without a progressive revisionist slant. Local intense activism could/would fix the problem in my estimation. Bill, are you still paying taxes that keep those local schools open and running? Then stay involved locally! Go to every meeting of the local Board of Education and speak up! The largest ignored political area in this country has been the BoEs and what they do there! If we all start sitting in and taking part, they can't slide the stuff into our kids classrooms like they have in the past.

One of my desires is to see that History and Civics be taught once again in the schools. And not with an ideology, but maybe with the writing of our Forefathers and the original documents we put our trust in.
I believe that Alinsky's Rules need to be turned on to the left. I was just watching David Horowitz's TV on his Frontpage Magazine, of his Restoration Weekend. He had Pat Caddell and Scott Wheeler on and they were discussing the differences between the Conservative and the Liberal's way of approaching politics. There is a Part 1 and 2 about 20 minutes each that are worth watching, if you are pressed for time part 2 is the one I would choose. It pretty much spells out how they have been so successful in taking over and how we need to incorporate some of their approach's to activism. One quote that David Horowitz said that just slayed me and rings true was, "My tagline is I was sent as a former radical to teach conservatives bad manners…"

Mine too. Although, most parents at the school are liberal, there is respect for everyone. We are very fortunate and we feel very blessed.
Why is it taking Jennings so long to get kicked out? People–pull your kids out of school and home school your children. Don't be cowards — just do it! There is no way you should be placing your children in the hands of these social engineers. There is not greater responsibility you will be given than raising your children. Pull them out of school…
It's not cheap but this is one of those times that you get 90% of what you paid for. If you are shopping for a school the one thing I looked for was the reading list for the summer. If there are classics great, if it is full of popular books, they were missing the opportunity to teach our children. The other thing that I looked for is for PE to be done in the two hours after school not during regular study hours. So at 3pm they would go to PE for 2 hours. It makes a long school day but they learn to work then play after, so when they get a job after college they know after work they need to go do some activity.
The other thing that I looked at is what college the top 1/3 chose to go too and if they went on scholarships. I went to private school. I believe the public school system has been in decline since the 1960's and could be better run by and private school administrator. I am amazed that a small town has not outsorced it's education to a private school, in most cases it would be cheaper.

That's why mine are home schooled. And they socialize better than many of the public school kids. Go figure…better on academics and social skills.
They may take away the Torah. They will never take a way the Koran. None of them are willing to engage in the fight.

What is the status of this Kevin Jennings? I do not see much in the news. Why? I had no idea such a person was given a high position of influence over the education of our children. Is the president going to remove this person?
