This conference was fully supported by the Massachusetts Department of Education, the Safe Schools Program, the Governor’s Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth, and some of the presenters even received federal money. During the 2000 conference, workshop leaders led a “youth only, ages 14-21″ session that offered lessons in “fisting” a dangerous sexual practice. During the same workshop an activist asked 14 year-old students, “Spit or swallow?… Is it rude?” The unbelievable audio clip is posted here. Barack Obama’s “Safe Schools Czar” Kevin Jennings is the founder of GLSEN. He was paid $273,573.96 as its executive director in 2007. Jennings was the keynote speaker at the 2000 GLSEN conference.

Unfortunately for GLSEN, undercover journalists with Mass Resistance recorded these outrageous sessions at Tufts University. The audio was later leaked to a local radio station. This created such an uproar that GLSEN leaders were forced to apologize for their disgusting behavior.
Despite the controversy, Barack Obama’s Safe Schools Czar Kevin Jennings and his GLSEN organization did nothing to clean up their act. In fact in 2001 activists handed out “fisting kits” to the children and teachers who attended the GLSEN conference.
But that’s not all. The children who attended Kevin Jennnings’ 2005 GLSEN Conference also left with their own “Little Black Book – Queer in the 21st Century”.

And in case any of the teens got bored, GLSEN was also kind enough to include a list of the local gay bars in the booklet distributed to high school students.
Because of his excellent work with children Kevin Jennings was promoted by Barack Obama to be his Safe Schools Czar. Today he’s running the Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools in the US Department of Education.

That's funny. I got flagged last week on a different thread. No clue what could have been wrong with it – it was about big corps that are supporting the copenhagen treaty, I named a few. I don't think the issue is the conference and who attended it. The issue is that someone with this kind of agenda is in charge of keeping our schools safe. This issue is that Christian children (I am Jewish) are not allowed to pray or to profess that homosexuality is wrong in their eyes but this guy can promote his views on sexuality to all children now that he pushes what books are read and what behavior goes on in the schools. What adults do in their bedroom, what children are taught at home is not my business, what my kid is exposed to in school is. Please, this garbage has been sneaking up under the radar for decades in America. There are thousands of people to blame besides a busy governor who isn't responsible to reveiw every grant/seminar in his state. Blame those insiders that knew and didn't act as whistleblowers.

Ahhhh, I feel so detached. I'm stationed in Germany and want to be a part of anything that can get our voice heard. I'll be separating from the Air Force in July 2010. My plan is to be a stay-at-home Mom and actually raise children instead of having the schools and government do it for me.

I'm with you…peaceful is the way to go. There are a lot of things we can do that we have been neglecting. We need to take compassion back!
Generally, conservatives show compassion with through there wallets. It's not a visible thing because we don't do it for show. Our charitable donations are out of compassion and generally selfless. The reason many conservatives donate instead of volunteer is because we are working pretty hard to earn a living and provide for our families. What we do for a living we should also do charitably. For instance- if your a doctor, open your clinic once a week to the needy. If your a teacher, offer free tutoring during the summer for those struggling… In all these things we can show our conservative values and win the hearts of people.
One thing that bothers me the most with the way some conservatives protest is that they generally are shown by the media as fear mongering haters. When abortion centers are protested we should hand out fliers that outline alternatives. Remember, many of these women have been raised with the belief that abortion is just a medical procedure. We should show them compassion and offer them a way out. Why would they want to agree with us if we have condemned them before they even walk through the door?
For my fellow Christians-We need to take back the Arts. Churches used to be filled with works of Art. These works were created to Glorify God and pay tribute to the wonderful talents that so few are gifted with. We need to encourage our children to use their talents to glorify God…I know that not all conservatives are Christians. But, those that are need to show it in a lasting way…

When did all of the parents in this country decide to become ignorant to the fact that their children are, for better or for worse, sexually active? I applaud GLSEN for having a genuine dialogue about that activity in order to promote safer and healthier sex practices. I'm sure the critics of this activity would feel entirely different if they knew how mayn of their children had been saved from teen pregnancy, HIV/AIDS, and the numerous other diseases that run rabid in young adult communities.
