Kenneth Gladney Speaks Out–County Officials Blow Him Off
by Jim HoftOn August 6th Kenneth Gladney attended the Russ Carnahan town hall meeting in south St. Louis County. Kenneth was there to make some money selling freedom flags and buttons. After the meeting Kenneth was assaulted, beaten and stomped by angry SEIU thugs who were upset that a black man would be selling anti-Obama merchandise. Gladney was taken to the hospital following the attack.

He was beaten, kicked and called racist names by Russ Carnahan’s SEIU supporters after the town hall meeting earlier that week. St. Louis County officials have yet to press charges.
It’s been over 3 months and still St. Louis county officials have not met with Kenneth Gladney to discuss the case nor have they press charges against the SEIU thugs who beat him.
Today after Kenneth set up an appointment with the county officials to discuss the crime– they blew him off. Kenneth made the appointment and they totally ignored him.
Later today Kenneth Gladney talked about how the county is ignoring the crime against him:
Kenneth Gladney was beaten once in the street in a hate crime. But, it doesn’t matter to county officials.
They have better things to do than protect a black man who was assaulted by SEIU thugs.

Perhaps the corrupt powers-that-be prefer that those who oppose SEIU and ACORN and Obama and the Democrazi enforce the law with a little community-based policing, since they obviously have no intention of upholding the law.

If this were anything but anti-Obama, Al Sharpton would be marching in the streets that a black man is being treated this way. This is unacceptable in America. Maybe he should file suit against the city for not doing their job.

If it happened in St. Louis, don't expect the city or county to do anything. They never did anything for the young white man who was beaten almost to death on the school bus by blacks who called him Whitey among other things while they beat him. AND, the police refused to call it a "hate crime". I saw the video from the bus, and the driver did nothing. The white child was beaten very badly by the blacks (all on video) , yet it was not a "hate crime."

I cross one bridge, I am in southeastern Ohio. I cross another and I am in Southwestern West Virginia. I am a 15 minute drive away from Marshall University, Huntington, West by god Virginia.
Can someone please explain to me why he can't sue the DA for violating his civil rights? They refuse to prosecute people who assaulted him (which he should be able to successfully argue was racially motivated). Why are Conservatives so painfully slow to address these situations? There should be a line of lawyers outside his door to make this thing happen. Instead, they'll sit on their hands and whine that DA is "in the bag for Obama." I'm sick of the whining…go out and do something about it!

I realize every jurisdiction has it own procedures, and I don't know exactly how Missouri law works in this instance, but most generally allow a citizen to file the complaint and swear out a warrant if they have the identity of the attackers. It puts the DA in the position of having to formally decline the case instead of just allowing them to ignore requests to investigate.
Go down, swear out two warrants and force the DA into a decision. Gladney might also consider discussing this with the civil rights unit for the local FBI and U.S. Attorney's office.

All Big Government readers know what's going on here, what I don't know is why we haven't heard about any civil suite being filed against the perpetrators on behalf of this man or as others have suggested, possibly a suit of the local government. With such clear video proof there must be a legal path for justice for Mr. Gadney.

I think what we have here is a local jurisdiction run by democrats. I don't mind politicians being politicians. They have done that for years. But politics need to be taken out of the justice system. A crime is a crime regardless of the victim or the person committing the crime.

I don't know if this works, but why can't he file a civil lawsuit against SEIU for damages? That should at least get to the court. Of course, KG would need to pay lawyer's fees to get this going. Anyone for a "offense" fund?

Let me say that as a retired Law Enforcement Officer Mr. Gladney's assailants must be brought to justice and the fact that the prosecutors, not the on the street Police Officers, ignoring this matter is inexcusable and immoral. I understand that prosecutor responsible is an appointed position. She, as well as whoever appointed her need to be removed, now. Additionally, where are Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton? If he had been "wronged" by Law Enforcement they would have been all over it. But when it is the Democratic/Obama connected SEIU they are invisible. Those who hang on the divisive rantings of either of this pair may want to pay attention to their silence.

amelia51: I didn't chose the timing of the charges. The county counselor's office filed the charges, we found out about it today, and I was assigned to the story. I called the defendants in the case (and mr. gladney) to give them an opportunity to react or respond to the charges, if they wished to do so. that's all I was doing with ms. spitz. in fact, I apologized for the timing of my call, realizing that it probably wasn't a call one wanted to receive the day before a holiday.
