We will have Dingell, Stabanow and Levin forever but if my contributins can oust just one of the lefties from another district I can rest a little easier. I pray to God that we can survive this "reform." I just wish I knew what we could do to stop this. Writing and calling your senators and other elected officals appears to not be working!! They are not listening. Tea parties have not worked either. What is left for us to do? I feel so helpless and scared. We must have coverage for all; especially uninsured and underinsured. The one payer system option administered on a state basis is the only logical and affordable solution. 'Big Government' would have to be instrumental in allowing this to be created; private insurance exists soley for decadent profit of the billionaire companies. The public needs to wise up on this subject.
Control of our individual healthcare treatment options and decisions needs to be our responsibility; not the responsibility of doctors, and insurance companies. People need to research and make themselves knowledgeable about their health problems and treatment options. It is a simple thing to make the decision to limit diagnostic testing, refuse unnecessary tests and most prescription medications; and be very informed and cautious about any surgical interventions. Most testing and treatment is unnecessary; it is designed to make billions and not designed to heal or cure. It is surprising to me that this simple truth is largely ignored by the American public..

most "unnecessary" tests are done because docs are afraid of malpractice suits for millions of dollars because of a missed diagnosis. tort reform would lower a doctors overhead expenses drastically thereby lowering the amount they have to charge just to break even. no one works to break even they work for profit in making a profit they are able to provide for themselves, and then create opportunities to others to do the same.

I don't know about that. Oath Keepers membership has been swelling with law enforcement and military personnel who refuse to violate the oath they took. I hear the calls for action from patriots who are surrounded by an ungrateful nation bathing in power and corruption, but until this country feels the pain of this folly our sacrifice would mean nothing even peaceful civil disobedience would have no effect. We can still undue all they have done, but the push for amnesty is the Rubicon they can not cross, for peaceful civil disobedience will then have an effect. The problem with disobedience is it can spiral out control and quickly. Too scare the government the reason the south lost is they fired first, as will this tyrannical government into unarmed Americans. Since police forces have filled themselves with egotistical self righteous people it is only matter of time before the police over react resulting in the death of a citizen. This plan marries the tax code to health plans. If you refuse to take the plan, you will be treated like tax protestors. Tax protestors threaten to not pay or not file en masse. Then a few good examples are made of them in the way of prosecutions coming down hard on a handful of cases, like a ton of bricks, then the rest fall in to line.

Question: Does anyone know if the 14th Amendment which deals with "Equal Protection" makes the bribery deals of Mary Landrieu, Chris Dodd and Ben Nelson to secure a yes vote criminal and illegal?
