I Condemn the NAACP: It Has Tarnished its Reputation

I condemn the NAACP. The NAACP was once a noble organization that did some real good with regard to bringing equality for black Americans. But this erroneous, viciously dishonest and seriously misguided resolution has tarnished the reputation of the group. It has also revealed the political ideology that has driven the organization for years.
The NAACP seems now to be nothing more than another arm of the progressive political machine. This has cost the group its integrity. First, a leader calls a conservative black man who was beaten by union thugs an “Uncle Tom” — now this. Have they shame, honor or decency?

I condemn the NAACP for the small minority of its members who run massive factory farms for snails used by the chains of french fast food restaurants that litter the landscape of this country. These poor snails are force fed fermented grapes without concern for their delicate digestive systems simply to make them taste better.
And I also condemn them for "Joanie loves Chachi"
Mr Brooks, as Ive told some african -americans I know, Ive said that until the black community stands up and publically denounces the likes of a Jeremiah Wright or a Malik Zulu Shabazz, the image will be the black community accepts such behavior. After all, Wasnt it said Dumbama went to Wrights church to get "street cred"? Why would he even need it? After all, whites largely diminished the KKK and skinhead groups to nothing. As a matter of fact, the KKK and the New Black Panthers and Black Muslims have A LOT in COMMON(notably a hatred of Jews). Mr Brooks, white conservatives treat blacks quite well when they display normal behavior. Unfortunatley ,I dont often see the other side of the coin where blacks treat whites who behave honorably well. Like toe so-called "moderate moslems" who dont exist, until blacks take steps to marganalize the Shabazzes, the Wrights and the Sharptons, blacks will get flogged by the images the media wants to create for them,usually negative ones.
Shame, honor, and decency. If they had those qualities, they would be conservatives. Sadly, they do not.
Thank you for your stand, Mr. Brooks. I quite agree with you that a once noble organization who sought and fought for equal rights for all Americans, in particular Black Americans, is now a political (vice civil rights) organization. When the NAACP tells a Black American that he is "not black enough," for them to help him, they have proven that they have lost their way and have become a reprehensible organization that is doing no good for anyone but leftist liberals. Shame on them!

Condemned by the “NAACP” Piffle…. Today I got up and still did not give a wits end what these people have to say. The TEA party is not just a passing fancy that is going to pull it’s collective tents down and go running home with tails tucked between their legs. We too believe in freedom and justice…. the difference is we believe it belongs to us ALL.

Let's hope somehow, that the NAACP leadership get the message. IMO, at the present, they're meeting all the requirements of insanity. Pushing aside race-baiters Jesse, and Al, the NAACP are the only bunch stuck in a deep, muddy rut, by continuously beating their racist heads against a brick wall, and been getting the same result. Meanwhile, America moves forward.

If I can just ramble some thoughts…………
The NAACP may have served a necessary purpose at one time but there’s something unseemly about an organization for the advancement of any group. I’m also not a fan of using hyphenated Americans to describe people. This seems to create a feeling of separation which is a critical component to the democrats divide and conquer doctrine. I am 100% American and I’m also an immigrant. From an immigrants perspective I never understood why black Americans would use the term “African American.” If you’re black and born in America you’re an American. The first generation of those in my family born here are Americans not Eastern European Americans; they have an Eastern European heritage but they are Americans. Only black Americans born in an African nation like our president should use the term African-American, but even then it doesn’t seem right. If you’re an American citizen you’re an American, period.
The greatest fear of the race baiters and hustlers on the Left is not racism, it’s that their constituents will come to the realization that they don’t need them and would be better off without them.
-It is democrats that have created failed schools within the inner cities.
-It is democrats that have created a dependency class among black Americans.
-It is democrats that have kept corporations from creating jobs in poor black neighborhoods.
-It is democrats that allow criminals to run the streets victimizing many black Americans.
-It is democrats that allow illegal aliens to come and take the jobs that many unemployed blacks could take.
-It is democrats that have promoted policies that destroy the black family.
There is a better way. Give Conservatives a chance.
What non-conservative media service report this Biggovernment massive blogger response towards the NAACP? Will there by any of them?

I am a member of a Tea Party.
The membership roll consists of one, me.
The problem as I see it is the left and others such as the NAALCP are either
ignorant of or choose not to realize the TPM consists not of a central head and leadership
but rather an ideology consisting of numerous areas of discontent with the direction and
policies of the government interference and attempted control over the personal lives of the people.
We the People, three little words with a very large meaning.
There are those claiming to be of the TPM who, either due to the lefts infiltration or a misguided
thought process, attempt to paint the TPM as racist, such as the dude with the signage
using racial epitaphs.
I do not condone or accept such as Tea Partiers.

The thing which has always puzzled me is the majority of "black" Americans I have met do not like and degrade

The NAACP has brought it's very own demise into irrelevancy to the forefront of the political landscape by allowing themselves to become instrument of progressives. It is sad to see what the leadership is selling out for. If they can not rapidly alter course they have resigned the history of their past good works to the dustbin of racism which Americans have fought to move beyond. Membership decline and respect will continue to decimate the group to utter irrelevancy.

I was looking for any of them who would discuss this process Biggovernment is going through by having a continual group of bloggers calling for the NAACP to back away from their position. None of them discuss this. Some are mentioned Breitbart's $100,000 bet.

The NAACP has turned into a political organization that uses big money to encourage policies that enslave people of color, to send them out to do protests and cause mayhem so that they are ostricized from society, and the politicians reap the rewards of enjoying their limousines,State Dinners, golf outings,Mansions and Million dollar offices like Nancy Pelosi and Barack & Michelle Obama. NAACP- Let your people be free and prosperous like the Tea Parties want them to be. Don't stir up racism and hate. It's over. We elected a black President, and have a black Attorney General. Where's the racism? Let go of forcing people of color to focus on their skin color because we think of them as fellow Americans. You enslave them and use them, and we welcome them and want them to be rich productive proud citizens of America. Leave our people of color alone. Let them be free! They are not your slaves. They are Americans!

Mr. Brooks, Thank you to all of you conservative Americans who happen to be of color, thank you for your postings – I truly believe it will be the job of the conservative minorities to stand up for the Tea Party movement and its truly principled positions, of which race has no part. I watched a NAACP official yesterday on Megan Kelly's program and he did nothing but regurgitate leftist / obama administration talking points again and again even when confronted with the facts, which he ignored like they were never even said..
Obviously the NAACP has been tasked by the Obama administration with attacking the Tea Party with the Race Card, No doubt so obama can claim he is above this fray…
The only problem is it is an obvious outright lie.
The Tea Party welcomes anyone with no regard to color, They only ask you share some of their concern for personal freedoms and return to a limited responsible government as set forth in the Constitution.
The Obama administration has no answer for the debate so they resort to the only thing they have left, The race card….
This administration is THE MOST divisive in modern times.

The Obama administration has made very Chavez like overtones letting it be known their desire to control part of the media in order to silence the rights opposition to them, they want to control banks , your medical programs , private corporations , … it goes on and on and on.

I've met the NAACP official you're talking about who was on Megyn Kelly's show yesterday. His name is Hilary Shelton. I interviewed him a couple of years ago for a project I was working on, and he was a very nice and gracious man, who is old enough to have lived during a time when there was actual racism being perpetrated against blacks. That's why it was so disappointing to see him yesterday, saying the Tea Party tolerates bigotry, and practically excusing the fact that a speaker at an NAACP meeting called Kenneth Gladney an "Uncle Tom" (caught on video). Shelton said the speaker's remark was 'off the cuff' and not indicative of the NAACP views. Yet, he regurgitated the lie about the Congressional Black Caucus being called racial slurs by phantom Tea Party members (even though there has never been any evidence to prove that claim) and used that lie to justify his organization's "resolution." He then said he was afraid to go to a Tea Party. It was shameful and offensive. I don't think Mr. Shelton is a bad person, but I do think he's terribly misguided and had no clue how divisive and demeaning his remarks were. I can only imagine his reaction if a Tea Party member said he/she was "afraid" to go to an NAACP meeting.
