LameStream Media: Why Did You Bypass These Juicy ACORN Nuggets?
by Hannah GilesThe “Pimp and Pro” ACORN story hit America hard a few weeks ago. It is a ripe story with endless angles to report on, and yet the Mainstream Media’s favorite approach seems to be the method in which James and I orchestrated and gathered the information.
It’s like going fishing, but instead of taking a picture and raving about the 750lb Mako shark you caught, you blather on about the bait that was used.
What happens when people get bored? They stop paying attention. What happens when people stop paying attention to an already suffering press industry?
Money isn’t made and actions are never taken.
But rather than simply pointing a finger and complaining, here are some loose ends the media ignored, from our footage alone, that warrant attention.
With regard to the children:
· Baltimore-Why no mention of the toddlers that were in the room while James and I were being counseled on how to manage our underage prostitution ring?
· San Bernardino-The content of this video was largely ignored except for the part where Tresa Kaelke mentions she shot her husband. What about when she told us not to educate our sex-slaves because they won’t want to work for us? Or when we talked about making more money off clients who are permitted to physically abuse the girls? What about the whole transport-the-girls-in-a-school-bus-to-avoid-suspicion discussion?
Attention to the masses:
· Washington, DC- Why were we counseled by ACORN during a first time homebuyer’s seminar, while 30-40 other first time homebuyers sat crammed in a hot room?
· Brooklyn- This office was swarmed with people, busy staff members and a full waiting room. Did we take our number and wait in line? Nope. Why were we given the private attention of three ACORN staffers, when more deserving and less intrusive clientele patiently waited?
The political games:
· San Bernardino: What happened to the list of politicians that Ms. Kaelke rattled off when she spoke of her ACORN office’s community involvement and influence? Has anyone set out to uncover just how close these politicians relationships are with the San Bernardino ACORN? Does anyone even remember the names?
· San Diego: Has anyone questioned why Juan Carlos would want to help smuggle girls across the Mexican border right after an ACORN-sponsored immigration parade???
· Philadelphia: Why did the Philly office go into damage control mode as soon as the Baltimore story first broke? What do they have to hide?
I would HATE to be known as the journalist who never saw the bigger picture, lacked the creativity and ambition to approach a story from a fresh perspective, and contributed to the apathy of an entire nation. And I honestly, from the bottom of my heart, think every wannabe and professional journalist has the same attitude.
So why aren’t they behaving accordingly? Fear? Comfort? A false sense of purpose?
I don’t know about the rest of the press corps but all of the above scenarios scream scandalous to me. They’d be worthwhile news.

I believe once the present administration is gone and the new Reagan is elected, ACORN will finally be taken down and its minions that have fractured off. SEIU is not safe either. The regular American is so pissed off they cannot hardly breathe and they are waiting for the tide to turn. the up and coming j-school students are busy making rap videos, news anchors don't know about this story, and the left is hoping nobody notices their corruption, they must be waiting for a screwball politician with a "r" by their name to do something stupid in a airport bathroom, or with a defense contractor, so they can point fingers again. until then, i guess you need to keep dribbling out more videos, andrew breitbart said there are more of them, i can't wiat for the next one.

I need to start downloading them directly onto my computer. I had the (White House E-Mails MSNBC During Live Broadcast to "Correct" Them) and it has been deleted. To answer some of your questions of why the American press does not dig into this story a little deeper is simply they do not care to put in the effort. They do not care that 13 year olds would be used for Sex Slaves enabled by Government funding. The American people do not have the attention span needed to bring this story to a just solution. The American people do not have the attention span to be concerned that a stimulus package that was actually 1.4 trillion dollars was flushed down the toilet.
If it was not for the video and your attire you would not have even been able to get this story out on Fox news. The effort you and James did I applaud you for, but this effort will take 20 years or more to get the appropriate actions needed. I hope that you will be around for the 20 + years reporting on issues, and that your effort will make a hugh difference. The type of change needed will not be accomplished this year nor next year, this is a 20 year fight. I hope you realize this and keep up the fight, we all need people like you in this fight.

The media will always protect their own. Let's face it, ACORN is the MSM is ACORN…. Your title says it well; "Lame-stream". The subsription and viewer number tell it all. The Wall Street Journal and Fox news are now the Main-Stream media. Don't worry about what hte other guys say because know one listens to them anymore.

Note to all those poor newly unemployed journalists out there: Instead of hoping Obama will give your previous companies a bailout and they will use that to rehire you, why not start your own news service and dig up worthwhile news and sell it? Seems to be working for Fox news. The reason no one reads the "news" paper is that there is really no news in it, now is there? As Hannah points out, there are lots of people interested in the other parts of the story (not to mention the huge amount of corruption in Washington). Interest = Money. So, have at it and do what you are educated to do, instead of repeating in writing what you are told by your Democratic masters!

Very good points. If I may, one criticism. I'm surprised you ask why? If we were back in Bush's presidency and there was such an organization with connections to his administration, undercover revelations similar to what you've exposed would be plastered across every MSM outlet. And what about the Los Angeles ACORN office video??? Why won't you release THAT video??? The one that shows the ACORN employee trying to convince you to go to a women's shelter and get away from your "abusive pimp". How come that video will never see the light of day and how many more videos like that exist. Is it true you visited offices in Florida and found even more employees not cooperative to your illegal plan? The amount of ACORN employees NOT assisting your illegal plan is seriously outnumbering the handful of ACORN employees who fell victim your sting.
Why should the mainstream media devote our precious time to this ACORN Derangement Syndrome? The amount of people who actually care or even know what the hell ACORN is wouldn't fill a bus. The mainstream media would uncover that more ACORN employees DIDN'T help you compared to the handful that did. The MSM would discover that you lied so many times, even Fox News lost count. The MSM would discover you targeted ACORN offices in states where the Republicans are in danger of losing seats (Maryland & California) or are trying to gain seats (Pennsylvania & New York) and that your "operation" was politically motivated. The MSM would discover that you failed miserably at discrediting ProjectVote and so out of desperation, you attacked the housing division of ACORN in a pathetic attempt to de-legitimize black votes. And last but not least, the MSM would further emphasize the fact that according to YOUR videos, you were the only ones caught on tape breaking the law. I think I have an idea why the mainstream media ignores the truth; they are in it for the *****. I used to work retail and so can compare the day after Thanksgiving/ Black Friday, with media business. The ad time is booked probably a year in advance and with elections coming up there is a need to put on a good face to attract the millions in political money spent. we should use 4 hours a day of prime time on public TV for paid political ads and use the money to support PBS and libraries or something.

So I guess I'm supposed to pretend this comes across as anything but a blatant attempt to tell the media not only what to cover but how? First you all whined that it didn't get coverage, now that it has and ACORN has felt the repercussions you're whining that the right angles haven't been covered. 1) Is it true you visited ACORN offices in Florida and if so, why haven't those videos been released?
2) We now know that you visited the ACORN office in Los Angeles, why won't you release that video?
3) Do you now acknowledge that the ACORN video from the San Diego office is a complete bust with the National City PD confirming that the ACORN employee on the video did in fact contact the police and your information was forwarded to a human trafficking task force?
4) According to the transcript posted on this website indicating Ms. Kaelke stated several times "ACORN won't help you do this", do you now support releasing the San Bernadino ACORN video UNEDITED?
5) Is it true that when you returned to the Philadelphia ACORN office, you and Mr. O'Keefe discovered you had been locked out and the Philadelphia PD had been notified and if so, why wasn't this included on the Philly video released last week?

The WH IS actually very "Green", in fact they just posted a sign on the front lawn of the WH that reads "Caution Student President "At Work"". One thing that we need to remember here and be aware of, is that extremist liberals have a capacity to rationalize, overlook and stomach a great deal of corruption as long as it doesn't affect their pocketbook and it seems to provide them with some kind of pleasure and entertainment value.
