Girl Talk: My Time with Tresa Kaelke

“[ACORN San Bernardino Office Supervisor Christina] Spach said Kaelke pretended to cooperate with O’Keefe and Giles because she feared for her safety.”
Miss Tresa Kaelke came off as the “cool” grandma type: ready to talk, listen and dive into something adventurous. She was very much straight out of the free-love and anti-war era. She was not there to discriminate; she was there to condone and get her twisted fill of gossip for the day.
Example: when we were in the office with her I noticed a rose on her white pants (front left side). I commented and said “I like your rose,” and she responded with something along the lines of, “Thanks, I just drew it myself.” It was actually a cute and well drawn rose… colorful and cute. If she hadn’t told me she drew it I would have assumed the pants came like that.
Tresa was elated to have such an interesting visit that Monday afternoon. We went in with the same scenario as all the past ACORN offices and she, upon learning our line of work and alleged purpose for the visit, began openly disclosing information about her sex life, criminal history and political involvement.
After Talking with Jim Miller (the man across the street), Tresa and I ended up talking by ourselves for several minutes. She gave me some advice on locations for my underage brothel (based on the political arena) and said that I should have a separate savings account for a lawyer so that if I do get into trouble with the authorities, having a high class lawyer will help my reputation.
Then we moved into the personal side of things.
She went on to talk about how one day, my character (Eden), would break James’ heart. He would be devastated and I need to be careful not to make the wrong person mad, especially since he is a future lawyer and has political aspirations.
She wasn’t fearful. She was bored.
When James came back, she stopped talking about how I was going to break his heart. She switched gears and went on to tell James he has the look of royalty. I thought it strange and was trying to figure out where she was going with the conversation, but then I realized she was trying to help me with the break up process. She was doing this to boost his ego so that heartbreak wouldn’t hit hard, setting me up for an escape from the relationship. A man with confidence and ego is less likely to relish the wounds of heartbreak and rejection… so I jumped in and called her a “fox.” We all laughed, and chatted some more. She gave James some sage wisdom, telling him, “If you love something, let it go.”

I think you’ve got her pegged, and she’ll say anything that suits her at the time. She may well have been lying for a variety of reasons (none of which have to make any sense) but she didn’t appear to have any desire to get you two turned over to any authority figure to get you and your stories sorted out.
It is a cultural thing; just not a culture that should have taxpayer support or connections with our government.

I want ACORN down so bad I can taste it, I want SEIU down, I want corruption down. But still I can help having a little compassion for this series of lost souls we have witnessed during this expose. I don't know if they are criminal or stupid. Certainly pathetic. Certainly shown as dregs, I dont know, but they have no where to hide. I guess we HAVE to bring ACORN down to make this all work out.

it turns out this woman was making stuff up. none of her husbands have turned up murdered or even shot — it seems she was playing along with the ridiculous nature of the entire interaction (the outfits, the child prostitution scheme, etc). the National Review says so:

After watching her in the videos, I think maybe Ms. Kaelke would relate more to the satirical variation, “If you love something let it go…if it doesn't come back hunt it down and kill it.”

On another note: our local news led with the ACORN story even tho it was not mentioned on ABC's news. A gal from ACORN stated in the interview that they had recently had people come into their office and try to do what Hannah and James did and were turned away. I doubt anyone will be able to do what Hannah and James did again, ACORN is now on high alert. It's about time they squirmed alittle.
It's seems amazing that this woman was involved in some ACORN meeting that's been recounted on the web somewhere and that she was trusted to handle that office. But then considering all the other issues known about ACORN and it's little web, it is par for the course.

Exactly. This calls into question the other videos…however, even if she is telling the truth, it doesn’t change the fact that ACORN has fired four employees and suspended two over the videos already. Clearly this organization has ethics issues that go beyond voter fraud.

I'm a little concerned. Given ACORN's statement and police report (on ACORN.com), I'm wondering how the fact checking for this video slipped through the cracks. I'm hoping for an explanation from Mr. O'Keefe and Ms. Giles.

That thought crossed my mind as well. The very people they claim to be helping, they do not help. They use them to keep the machine moving, but the problems of the poor are right here in front of them, on video, and they do nothing but make it all worse.

Wait, I thought TK or ACORN issued a statement last night that said TK was just "playing along" with you guys. This video certainly suggests otherwise, which I am sure is why you released it. Saul Alinsky must be rolling over in his grave at the way you two are using his Rules.
It is about proving that ACORN seems to be complicit in any number of crimes, whether actively, or PASSIVELY. Even if the worker was "messing with them" (which I only suspect in a few things she said), that still doesn't explain why a prostitute and pimp weren't shown the door – or arrested. Nothing else BUT that would be acceptable for ACORN to do.
"Sorry, we can't help you with that sort of thing" would have told us all a different story.

The fact that employees in 4 offices (so far) have had the same reaction indicates systemic corruption. Acorn is corrupt, and they hire and train based on that culture.
I have to admit to having the same thought yesterday. I want ACORN down. I want the whole enchilada prosecuted. But somehow these people just seem pathetic. They still made bad choices; they still need to feel the consequences. But at the same time, I just feel sorry that they have come to this, and are now a laughing stock.
Maybe their example will warn others to be wiser, and get out of ACORN altogether.
By the way, this ploy of ACORN's to do an investigation won't go anywhere. They'll declare in two months that everything is honky-dorey and they should get their funding back.

Checked ACORN.com on this one. The "police report" and "statement" docs posted are just fingers in the dike. ACORN is trying to shut the barn door on this, but it is off the hinges and the horse is long gone. This lady is just your typical bullshit artist and it was convenient for her to say she 'punked' Hannah and James. Sadly, this is probably how she lives life on a day to day basis. C'mon, we have all met people like this.

as far as tresa just playing along, I think is not true. I think possibly she saw two young inexperienced people trying to start up a potentialy high income illegal business and she was probably trying to get them to trust her so she could make some money out of this herself on the side without acorn by helping them along the way. I think with all her twitching and moving around she is nervous with excitement that an opportunity to make alot of money like this would just walk through her door. If the shooting isn't true, she might have tried to look like a tough woman who they could rely on for help if needed. Which of course would come at a price($)! maybe I'm wrong but just a thought. Pretty hard to play this off as a game at this point, but it was nice of them to finally put up a fight rather than just denying and then subsequently firing the employees involved. As Congress moves for an investigation, hopefully the ful depth of this organization's wrongdoings can be revealed.

And I'd be careful of concluding it isn't true (yet). After she divorced her first husband and before she married her latest husband she was apparently put on probation for some case involving a death on 12/31/1996 said probation being lifted in 2008. The lifting is available online, but the original case isn't. The criminal charge of "PC CRIMINAL" and Severity of "Z" have been reported elsewhere as meaning a death was involved. If her latest husband is her THIRD husband instead of her SECOND husband, then perhaps a second husband DID die. Or perhaps this case is totally unrelated.
Can anyone in San Bernadino get access to the offline case file from the 12/31/1996 case… Arrested/Bailed 3/26/1997. Case FVI05722 Defendant 96745 KAELKE, TRESA MARIE (Kaelke was her name when the probation was lifted… it doesn't say (online) what her name was in 1996/1997).

Agreed. To Teresa and all of the others who have been unexpectedly vaulted to the national spotlight, you have my sympathy and my prayers.
Regardless of any illegal/unethical pointers that may have been given, you as individuals do not deserve to be so publicly and personally exposed. I wish they would have blurred your faces and masked your voices.
I am completely opposed to corruption and can't deny that I hope to see ACORN collapse completely, but as a compassionate human being, I hope the spotlight quickly fades from your faces and that you will be treated justly and with the respect I would wish for all people as the investigations unfold.

"Compassion" in the sense that you want to see these people get help and reform themselves, rather than have an organization like ACORN just perpetuate the world they find themselves in… not in ANY way condoning what they said or did. ACORN needs to be uprooted… then on to the others, who are no doubt the same under a different name.
The most important thing everyone can do is to call your Representative and Senators and ask that they defund ACORN of all taxpayer funding, including the $8 BILLION in stimulus funds. 202-224-3121 Keep the pressure on!
They addressed this on Glenn Beck. The video recorder was made in 2005 and the date had not been set. Still, I seen to remember reading that they started this in July.
Heck I just looked at the "police" report. I can make something like that on my own computer. If I were a betting man, I would say that much like their false voter registration cards, the "police" report is most likely false also.
I thought I recognized Tresa. I saw her on A&Es Intervention reality show last week. She was just coming off her night shift job as a crack ho on 4th. street in downtown San Berdoo. She was late getting to her ACORN office job.

The audio in the background of the Baltimore video (I think) features people talking about bussing people to a health care town hall, and Obama's name comes up a ton in the videos, dating it.
