Instead of respecting the people’s money and putting it to its appropriate use, the Senate has chosen to pass short-term “business as usual” continuing resolutions, one after another, all while government spending continues to skyrocket, deficits are exploding, the country’s credit rating is in jeopardy, Social Security and Medicare are in crisis states, and future generations are left holding the bag.
As we point out in our new video, plenty of great achievements in history have been made in less than 1,000 days. And all the American people are asking of the Senate is that they pass a budget. If Christopher Columbus can discover the New World in 70 days, why can’t the Senate pass a budget in less than 1,000 days?

Well, you can't really blame the house, they have sent budget bill after bill to the Senate to have Reid table them without a vote. Since the senate is controlled by the Democraps, there is the problem. In a nutshell.

Required by law. I used to believe that, a little less then 1,000 days ago. Nobody was put on trial, fined or even a letter of reprimand. Either our lawmakers are above the law or the law isn't really a law. Confusing, ain't it!?

It seems a few folks here (as well as numerous Americans) don't understand that the "Do nothing Congress" charge by the President is quite accurate. It could be better stated as a Do Nothing Senate.

This is one of the most misunderstood facts in politics today. It is Harry Reid who has "done nothing". He is in violation of the Senate's own laws on passing a budget, he has kept many (I believe around 35 or so) bills that were passed to create jobs off the agenda of the Senate, and he remains supportive of the President in violating the powers of Congress through POTUS appointments when the Senate was not in recess – a tactic Mr. Reid used in President Bush's administration.
Repeat the facts to everyone – Do nothing SENATE, a SENATE (hopefully not for long) that is under Democratic control. The MSM has worked hand-in-hand with the Democrats to fool the public into believing that it is the House, and more directly the Tea Party, that is stalling progress.
This is what you get when the "Controlling Legal Authority" (thank you Al Gore) is the same one who is guilty of not following our Constitution…..

OhBummer doesn't want a budget. A budget comes with earmarks, which are not a bad thing. An earmark is the same as a check that is written to someone/something for a certain amount….it's how CONgress directs monies. Without a budget though, OhBummer has the equivilent of your checkbook, with the checks already signed. HE then gets to fill out the amount, and who it's too…Solyndra for example….and voila'! $5 trillion in new debt. This man is NOT stupid, he's knows exactly what he's doing, and he has Hairy Reed to make sure he never gets a budget.

The mouth pieces of both political parties try to gain political points instead of actually working for the people who elected them. Your absolutely right about the 111th congress the only part of your post that may be wrong is about being on the street begging. With this current regime and the help of the 111th you don't have to worry about the begging part cause they cannot give you food stamps, welfare, assist with your mortgage, and make sure your kids will be given preference for college; especially if your 1) an illegal immigrant 2) a registered democrat 3) your a minority

Not a cop out at all, it's the truth. How do you suggest McConnell get a budget passed? And what does Boehner have to do with it? He is in the House and they DID pass a budget?
It is all about Politics for Reid and the rest of the Dem congress. They do not want to be labled as "tax and spend" dems so instead they do NOTHING. And Obama puts no pressure on the Dem leadership to do their effing job.
Every Republican who runs against a DemoRat incumbent senator needs to make this his/her campaign motto – This person can't or won't live up to the rsponsibilities of their job and needs to go. Don't go into minutia.
Say it loud and say it often – try to make it your 10 second sound bite.

IF congress had a set…ahhh I mean boehner…they would simply say "no one but us has passed a budget in a properly debated and voted on fashion…like we are instructed by rule…since we're the only government intitiey to do so "we'll only use and pay by our budget…no other authority will be controlling until and unless we have a properly passed budget. So…no money for czars…holders department – no money unless…epa…sorry no money…consumer protection cordery…not a nickle…sorry moochelle no vacation money…sorry acron.

I realize the budget can only be brought to the floor of the senate and the Republicans have no power to do so.I am p*ssed at the Republicans for not starting every public interview, regardless of the topic , with, "today is the XXX day of the president's term and we have no budget from the Senate" , then continue with the interview.
I can't understand why the fact that Harry Reid controls the Senate and refuses to bring bills up for votes is a "cop out", unless you don't understand how the Senate works.
I don't remember reading about budgets taking this long under Bush, Republican or Democrat controlled Congresses…

Well if you don't care about how much of other people's money you spend, or spending money you don't have, then having a budget really is not that important now is it?
