As Americans prepare to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the September 11th terrorists attacks, The Heritage Foundation has been busy reminding Congress and the public of the importance of staying the course in the War on Terror.
Since 9/11, at least 40 terrorist plots aimed at the US have been foiled. We have disrupted terrorist networks, captured or killed their leaders, and worked to keep them from rebuilding. But as Heritage’s James Carafano explains, our continued security is anything but certain:
The Administration now seeks to treat terrorism under a law enforcement paradigm that failed to protect Americans from terrorism when it was adopted by the Clinton Administration before 9/11. In addition, the White House intends to follow a “small footprint” strategy for overseas operations, relying primarily on Special Forces operations, covert action, and strikes with unmanned aerial vehicles.

I get sick to my stomach every time I see videos on this subject
We must never quit because, unfortunately, there will never be such a thing as a cease fire or a peace agreement with a militant religious fanatic.
The only thing they understand is force, and too many of us seem unwilling to acknowledge that.

Ten years without a major terrorist attack is quite a feat considering we have to be right 100% of the time, and in an open society where the possible avenues of attack are numerous.
Some of the same folks that today perfunctorily mouth patriotic-sounding platitudes will tomorrow resume their official government business with a pre-9/11 mentality.
One more reason to replace with urgency the Obama administration. As if another reason was needed.

As if THIS White House administration has a SINGLE CLUE as to what the hell they are doing.
Anybody who LOATHES the U.S. military (and the U.S. in general), should NEVER be allowed to be the "Commander-in-Chief." That's just the TRUTH.
Fair share, shared sacrifice, social justice and spreading around the wealth are principles of an ideology that is not compatible with security, protection and proactivity.
Just as they are principles of an ideology that is not compatible with innovation or creativity.
Just as they are principles of an ideology that is not compaitble with fostering value creation and growing economic prosperity.
They are principles which ARE consistent with submission, faceless obedience to dogma and relentless conformity.
Sounds almost like Islam.

There was much for Americans to be proud about on that horrible day. Certainly, the average citizens on Flight 93 exhibited qualities on which Americans pride themselves. Ingenuity in figuring out the situation. Self-reliance to independently decide on a course of action. Courage and selflessness in carrying out that plan, scaring the hell out of their captors in the process, and thwarting a final attack on the Capitol, in forfeit of their own lives.
Now, somebody explain to me:
Why in God's name is the memorial to Flight 93 being designed in the shape of an Islamist crescent, and pointed towards Mecca?!

I agree with small footprint….but let's carry a big stick too, to paraphrase teddy roosevelt's "walk softly, but carry a big stick." 9-11-01 We will NEVER forget.
If the triumphalist Islamic Jihadists continue their Cordoba ways, perhaps it's meant as a sign that Mecca will be the next target? Just a possibility.
