Climategate Spreading to NASA?

It’s not just the scientists at the Climate Research Unit of East Anglia University who may have criminally violated the Freedom of Information Act (some profesors in the UK and some in the USA), NASA has been stonewalling a FOIA request as well… for years.
Chris Horner, a senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, said NASA has refused for two years to provide information under the Freedom of Information Act that would show how the agency has shaped its climate data and would explain why the agency has repeatedly had to correct its data going as far back as the 1930s.
“I assume that what is there is highly damaging,” Mr. Horner said. “These guys are quite clearly bound and determined not to reveal their internal discussions about this.”
NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies is saying they’re “working on” the FOIA request.
Right. For two years?!
The public affairs guy at GISS is using the Sgt. Schultz defense (“I hear nothing, I see nothing, I know nothing!”)
He said he was unfamiliar with the British controversy and couldn’t say whether NASA was susceptible to the same challenges to its data. The White House has dismissed the British e-mails as irrelevant.
What we are seeing is in total contradiction to the scientific method. Honest scientists don’t delete their data or use tricks to hide data they don’t like. They don’t insist the science is settled and that anyone who questions them is a nut. They gladly release their data to other scientists so their results can be replicated or errors can be corrected.
Once upon a time the “science was settled” that the world was flat. The “science was settled” that the world was the center of the universe. Whoops.
Much of the data used for the “consensus” that manmade global warming is real came from the CRU and NASA’s GISS. If that data is not accurate and/or has been manipulated it undermines everything. When you consider the trillions of dollars at risk here by policy pushed by this “science,” it’s understandable that Christopher Booker is calling it The Worst Scientific Scandal of Our Generation.

The so called scientists promoting this are NOT Scientists. Rather a bunch of misguided individuals hoping to change the world with other peoples money. Some are sincere and misguided, and some are frauds motivated by greed. The fool from India (I think) traveling over 300,000 miles a year for speeches is a greedy fraudster. As is AL GORE who has a main goal of enriching himself playing all powerful giver of other money.
Specific scientists have placed themselves in the position of Gods. Having used their influence granted through more than $40-million from the tax payers, they have abused the trust afforded to them placing a dark cloud over the scientific community as a whole. Surely, science will recover from this event as time heals all wounds.
‘Truth is the daughter of time’ was forgotten by this specific Scientific Fiefdom, but acknowledgment of other traditional philosophies which built science to the current respect also have been ignored, such as “Politics, religion, entertainment, fame and wealth have no place in Science”. Often, however, such important socially advancing fields as science need set backs and thus force both current and potential abusers to fall back to traditional thinking. This is the nature in the evolution of human thought and growth.
The hubris of denial by these abusers of social trust, along with their followers, of the devastating magnitude of their deceptive and deviant activity, while trying to maintain their stature in civilization, is incomprehensible. This denial will continue dragging the entire scientific community into the pit. Unfortunately, a self awakened reality of their misdeeds likely will not appear until admission followed by humility becomes obvious to society. Forgiveness is the divinity of our civilization but forgetting never can be allowed.

Now NASA can't get information together after more than 2 years?

Hansen, of NASA's Goddard, sits on Al Gore's GIM board and has been paid in carbon credits.
NASA should see the writing on the wall and feel the heat. They should get ahead of this and release their data before they are exposed.

They know their careers are over in 2011 when the real investigations start, they are just playing to their puppet masters to buy time and are most likley being promised fat jobs if they take one for the team.
This is why they are trying to force this, cooling is starting to accelerate, and the timing could not be worese. If they can get something in place they will simply make the claim that it's "Working" and that we need even more.
But that's getting harder and harder to do, they will force something through, they have to or risk losing it all.

Much of the data used to calculate global temperatures is made up or 'estimated' from stations hundreds of miles away! This data is in turn used to 'estimate' further data and so on. This is not science. At best it is an incompetent pretence but it might be worse than that.
There is simply not the data available to calculate global temperatures and it is a deceit for anybody, whether NASA or CRU to pretend otherwise. These people are discrediting a great institution and science as a whole.

NASA was already forced to make two major changes to their data, because it was falsified, good possibility they fudged more.
There is no question climate change exists and a VERY small part of it is due to human activity… just as part of it is due to the activity of ants, gazelles, ardvarks, and polar bears. The boogey man they picked to attack us with, CO2, is the single greatest cause of life's abundance on the planet next to the sun. Without CO2, photosynthesis wouldn't occure. Plants metabolize CO2 while converting solar energy into usable chemical energy…. and as a by product, the process produces usable O2. So… CO2 not only enables the growth of our food, it repleneshes the gas we use to metabolize that food energy into energy useable by our cells. My question is… did the politicians forget we all had science class in elementary school?

As I believe Lord Monckton pointed out, the climate scientists rely on just four main datasets, two ground-based and two satellite-based. The satellites are calibrated by the ground-level observations. The ground-based sets are NASA/GISS and CRU. CRU's data is now discredited, what wasn't thrown out, And McIntyre at ClimateAudit already made GISS recalculate once to fix a "flaw" showing higher readings, which have since been "recalculated" higher. And Anthony Watts at WattsUpWithThat has been documenting the terrible state of the surface stations at surfacestations.org, revealing how they should really not be trusted, unless you don't care that they are showing higher temps than there really are.
So of the major temp datasets, everything rests on the integrity of just two, one of which has now been shown to be hopelessly compromised, which just leaves NASA/GISS…
You can see why they are Clearly Enthusiastic about Verifying The Absolute Integrity of the one remaining dataset that global warming is perched on.
Don't forget good old Dr. Wang that co-authored with Dr. Jones about heat islands, pretty much just made stuff up to prove that didn't matter a bit, they investigated themselves, found themselves innocent, and then refused to release the findings.
Now that they have been caught out they are claiming it makes no difference anyway, if so then why bother committing scientific fraud over a worthless study?
With satellite thermal imaging it would seem to be a fairly straight forward exercise to "calibrate" the offsets for thermometer stations as well as predict the gaps much better, then apply that to raw data vs. this non sense they do now which is akin to a Monet painting vs. and objective photograph.
But then they removed the bulk of those thermometers didn't they, so we can't go back and check the accuracy of their tweaks, how convenient.

And you may as well plan on waiting at least another two. They are going to stall as long as possible and if they do cough up what you are asking for, you're probably only going to get it with most of the information blacked out.
No matter how fast the house of cards known as Global Warming falls, too many people are too heavily invested in the fraud to easily give up the information that will permanently seal the downfall.
As a space nut, it's disheartening to see NASA wasting millions/billions (?) on AGW when we'll have no space vehicles after 2011. NASA was always about exploration and pushing the envelope, not this. More importantly, it is common sense that if people are being asked to change their lifestyles and cost the economy trillions of dollars, the science and the process must be above reproach. They have failed the common sense test and need to go back to real science. After all, remember that this is the administration that said it was bringing science back into government.
Here is the problem. Gavin Schmidt is a PHD at NASA GISS. He is blogging full time down the hall 2 doors at Real Climate. He works for the Federal gubment and has time on his hands. He is too busy blogging to work up files and FOIA requests. James hamnsen the leader, is too busy preaching warming. They are some lazy butts and can't get fired. Real climate also has Michael Mann work there on the side. The FOIA requests could have prevented this fiasco.

There should be a complete and thorough investigation of the global warming scam. Money for research obtained using junk science should have to be repaid. These "scientists" should be thrown into jail along with Al Gore.
If NASA will not comply with the FOIA request then call the Russian hackers. Maybe a petition to cut of all taxpayer funds to NASA will get these devious parasites to release the information they've been hiding.
We should contact our Congressional Representative and Senators and ask them where they stand on man made global warming and post there response on the internet for all to see.

I just read that the chief propagandist himself, Algore, has dropped out of the Copenhagen farce. Algore should have criminal charges brought against him for attempting to defraud the American taxpayer. His propaganda video alone is evidence against him. This global warming scam is similar to the email I'm sure we've all received from Africa asking us to send all our money to them in exchange for millions of dollars; but first send the money sucker. AGW is the same shyt; the people that believe in it have probably wired money to criminals in Africa as well.
Anyone whoever entertained this patently absurd notion of AGW should be thrown out of office and publicly flogged. Who in their right mind would listen to these leftwing tree hugging drug addicts that break into tears when trees are cut down? How were so many people suckered into forgetting about the half dozen or so ice ages that have come and gone naturally and into believing it's now our fault for any change in climate? Why even look at the emails, the question of AGW is moot, the theory has already been disproven.
In science the burden of proof is on the theory.
The theory must provide the proof.
If the theory makes a prediction, which it must to not simply be a hypothesis, and the prediction is wrong then the theory is discarded.
That is part of the scientific method.
The AGW theory predicts that an increase in CO2 causes an increase in global temperature.
CO2 is higher now then it was in 1990.
Average global temperature is the same now as it was in 1990.
The prediction made by the theory is wrong therefore the AGW theory must be discarded.
QED.

It's natural to be mad, after being tricked, conned, fooled by so many things. I keep hearing the word "transparency" in my head. Like the scene in Apocalypse Now when Marlon Brando says "the horror" over and over.
The email climategate scandal has peeled open an insightful view into the strange and criminal world that so called scientists manipulating climate data have inhabited for nearly half of my lifetime. The email tells a sordid tale of corruption and racketeering and alone is damning enough. But of the contents that were leaked on the server, 95% of the materials were source code. Source code that can be analyzed and evaluated for discrepancies and oddities.
And the tale the source tells is even worse. It isn't just clear that criminal activity exists, it is without a doubt. No hack programmer that is worth his salt can ignore this outrageous attempt to code their way into the biggest global scam in history. That, my friends, is a smoking gun… and is more than enough evidence to put the whole lot of the culprits in any one of a number of nation prisons for quite some time.
Now onto the next logical step. Who in the current administration, house of representatives, senate and other federal institutions had a hand in this. Their email needs to be peeled open as well. We need to see the publicly paid for servants email to determine if they were in on this collusion. Any organization that has anything to do with global warming, climate change or environmental studies needs to open up their servers and materials for full evaluation so an audit can be conducted to find out who is responsible for this horrific crime against humanity. Trillions of dollars have been spent, lifetimes of opportunities have been forgone, and continuous harassment of the general population has been all a part of this farce and the individuals responsible need to be held in account for it.

Attacking those who have claimed collusion amongst climate scientists as 'conspiracy theorists' constitutes an 'ad hominem' attack. It ignores some real evidence of collusion and attempts to paint them as a bunch of nuts in order to hide an unpleasant reality.
Psychiatrists have a saying that goes "It ain't paranoia when they're really after you." In this case, it is no longer a conspiracy THEORY once the conspiracy is demonstrated.
The recent email release shows leaders in the climate research field engaged in some extraordinarily unprofessional behavior — including suborning the peer review process, denying access to and threatening destruction of raw data and cooking the analysis to fit preordained conclusions.
Such actions, if proven, would end the careers of many scientists.

NASA is the laughing stock of the scientific community. They really haven't been doing a lot of useful science for many years now. They've become far too politicized, and act based on that rather than sound science. A good example is that lovely "space station". All that money spent to put a station…. in an orbit that is better suited for Russian launches. SO much for using it as a stopover for the moon, bad orbit. They actually did a "study" on how to use the station for moon missions. (Anyone that's had basic orbital mechanics could have spared them the taxpayer cost of the study.) The result was: either disassemble the whole stupid thing and put it in a decent orbit, or don't use it at all.

Well thanks for massive egos! Of course they had to put in writing how clever they were. These folks just really believe they're way above the little people. So inflated, they actually made a clear record of their fantasy world. The one with Nobel Prizes, Department Chairs, endless grants, and oh yes, that filthy lucre, money. Where they are just accidentally superheroes. Because really they were only in it to Save the World, no token payments necessary. But if the world insists on showing it's gratitude, well. It would be so ungracious to refuse.

Let's look on the bright side here, folks.
When the CRU announced that they no longer had the original data, they also pointed out that they had only the "value-added and homogenized" data. I'm sure that this refers to adjustments they had to make because, for example, a climate station had been relocated. "Smoothing" and all that. Statistics 101. I remember it well.
But they surely know what adjustments were made to derive the "value-added" data, don't they? I mean, you have to record the operations you perform on the data, don't you?
So perform the reverse operations and we're back to the original data, are we not?
Let's see if we can predict some of the reasons they'll come up with to explain why this just isn't possible. Can't put all of the spilled milk back in the jug and all that.
I had great respect for NASA before the politicians co-opted them into the Global Warming Scam. James Hansen, head of the NASA Goddard Institute, is a bought and paid-for “Global Warming Hack” and he is destroying the credibility of NASA and its a crying shame. Hopefully Hansen and Al Gore will be sharing a jail cell when this is all over with.
I’m afraid science will have to suffer at least one generation because of this, they should be much more careful who they designate “scientist”.

When you see "smoke stacks" on Television to boost the argument of man-made climate change, you have to be a dummy not to see that most all the "stacks" spewing out white stuff, are actually spewing out steam, which, for those who quit thinking, is moisture. Now, moisture in the atmosphere is, by far, a bigger heat-sealing blanket than heavier-than-air plant food (carbon dioxide), but it is a useful ingredient just like plant food. This is all true. And don't forget that CO2 is the fizz in your Coca Cola and 7Up for that matter. CO2 is not only NOT harmful, its an essential compound of life. Its part of the life-cycle. No CO2 in the air means a dead planet. But since literally no one can live without making CO2 (remember, you exhale it) it makes it the perfect target of a tax. They didn't think they would get away with taxing the air you breath so they settled for the air you exhale.

How in God's name can this be considered a legal contract when a Huge Amount of the basis for the Climate Change Data has been found to be Fraudulently Sabotaged and absolutely Inaccurate? This is signing an agreement Document that has no Legal Foundation of Realistic conditions or elements due to inaccurate and Manipulated Data as described and therefore, anything stated on this Copenhagen Treaty Document should be considered Null and Void!
