Coakley and the Curling-Iron Rapist, Part II: Why Did it Take So Long to Press Charges?
by Gary HewsonYesterday, I reported on the horrific rape of a two-year old by Keith Winfield in 2005 in Massachusetts. Then-Middlesex County DA Martha Coakley failed to take action to bring charges against Mr. Winfield. Today, the story takes another turn. In part II of the Curling-Iron Rapist Case, let’s look at two of the key players in the case: The lawyer for the family of the raped toddler, Larry Frisoli, and his brother and legal partner, Frank Frisoli.
Larry Frisoli was a highly-respected and high profile lawyer who had handled the wrongful-death suit in the famous and horrifying Jeffrey Curley case, where an 8-year Jeffrey was savagely kidnapped off the street and brutally raped and murdered. Larry represented Jeffrey’s family, and won a symbolic $328 million wrongful death suite against the perpetrators in 2000. The perpetrators went to prison for life and were broke. That same year, Larry Frisoli was named “Lawyer of the Year” by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.

Fast forward to 2005, when Larry Frisoli was called by the family of the raped toddler to represent them. After the mother of the raped toddler took the child to the hospital, the hospital notified DSS that the child had been molested and or abused. The DSS came to the parent’s home, and tried to take the child away; thinking the parents had perpetrated the crime. The parents called family friend and attorney Larry Frisoli to sort out the madness.
As we now know, and what seemed clear to Larry and his clients very early in the case, was that the child had been left in the care of Policeman Keith Winfield, the uncle of the child, the prior day. Officer Winfield, during his hour alone with his 23-month old niece, raped her with a hot curling iron.
Larry took the case and immediately took action to get Keith Winfield put away for his crimes. What he didn’t realize was that he was about to go against then Middlesex DA Martha Coakley, who for reasons I will allow readers to conclude from Frank Frisoli’s recounting of the facts and allegations in an email he provided to us today, would not bring charges against the Toddler Rapist and dragged the process out so long that her successor had to put Winfield away. Coakley allowed this toddler rapist to stay on the streets for over 2 years and she let him out of custody on No BAIL.
Larry Frisoli very quickly sensed there was something afoul with Coakley’s handling of the case: Larry had what seemed like an open and shut case against a public menace and monster, but Coakley’s office was moving at a snail’s pace and refused to take action against the officer after calling a grand jury.
Coakley’s handling of the incident was so alarming to Larry Frisoli, that he decided to run against her in the Massachusetts’ Attorney General race; solely due to his perceived mishandling of the case by DA Coakley.
What happened next sent the Frisoli’s over the edge: Coakley’s campaign attacked Larry and said he was using the case to publicize his political ambitions and that Larry Frisoli had wanted to run all along. Larry went on to lose the race to Coakley and sadly passed away in 2008, but not before he put away Keith Winfield for life with the help of Coakleys’ successor: Gerry Leone.
And, so, in the words of the Larry’s brother, and the one person alive who has access to all of the files, facts, and timelines, I will let readers conclude what happened in this horrifying case. Why did it take so long for Coakley to take action? Why did Coakley push for no action by the grand jury? Why would she release a toddler rapist with no bail and let him walk the streets for 2 years? On no bail?
This email was recently sent out by Frank Frisoli to friends and colleagues in response to the January 6th Boston Globe article detailing the case and Coakley’s handling of it. The email is published here in its entirety with Frank’s permission:

"If you were the DA, and evidence was brought to you regarding Teddy Kennedy drowning a young girl in a car wreck, would you file charges for murder, manslaughter, or vehicular homicide?"
Should Madame Coakley win in the Senate, her partner in crime will then be Madame Pelosi in the House. If that occurs, all will be lost, as both the Senate and the House will be corrupted. That brings in a new angle, someone could file charges against them, for running Houses of Ill Repute.

We can pray that the voters finally say this is the Peoples Seat and does not belong to anyone unless we choose to allow them to represent us. This woman destroyed a family run daycare on charges of mass child abuse, then tried to convince the world that an 18 year old nanny killed a baby by shaking it to death, wanting a death peanlty for the nanny, then obstructed the release of the father who owned the day care after the children in that daycare came forward to say no abuse ever happened. Horrific charges were alledged. Somewhere in her career she prosecuted a catholic proest for pedophilia. Not sure he did it, but she convicted. Sad to say, but Coakly is probably going to win, the progressive/socialist need the seat to much. I have a two year old daughter and if one of her uncles did something like this to her and Martha Coakley acted as she did, my wife and I would have taken matters into our own hands and it would not have been pretty. As to why AGs and DAs are not prosecuted for their obvious negligence in criminal cases …the law absolves them of the crime. Therefore, if no "crime" has been committed; no action can be taken against them – she's immune from prosecution unless corruption can be proven.

The danger with the type of prosecutor Coakley is, is their method is based on whims or agendas. You may be licking their boots; but that doesn't guarantee you a free get out of jail card. Obama is the same way. Sacrifice of people and decency is everything to these people and one of their best methods of control. What makes them dangerous is they don't care about doing the right thing. It's sick.

Coakley is clearly in politics solely to benefit herself. And she condones the rape and abuse of a two year old girl to get her perceived power. To say that she is damned, is true in the infinite sense of life. But along the same lines, a vote for her would be a vote towards the damnation of us all. You may thwart people, but you may never thwart infinite nature. It simply can not be done.
Thank God Ted Kennedy died at this time instead of later. We were praying them out with Psalms 91 and 109. So, PTL. Kennedy went thru the dark tunnel to the Waiting Room which has no light….waiting for the "trap door" to open and release him to hell, where there no friends….Coakley, well she has her time coming, whether she wins the election or not. Look to the past to understand the future. Ted kennedy killed someone, and yet, the voters kept him in office until he died. Barney frank had a long relationship with a male prostitute, who sold other prostitutes from the senators apartment, he is still in office. this state has no shame, they take pride in how cool they are because they are cool with these guys short comings. Its a nice fantasy to imagine Brown winning this election, just like buying a lottery ticket, and imagining what you will do with the money. You are right. I was a young girl at the time and remember the Ted Kenndy scandal with the young girl that died. But, he had the Kennedy name, so life went on for him. I'm not a big fan of Scott Brown; he strikes me as an apologist for the Republican failures (pointless wars for "democracy", legalized fraud on Wall st.) that got Obama elected. That said, from what I know about Martha Coakly, this story doesn't surprise me a bit. The woman has always struck me as a complete dunce, taking or neglecting cases based more on how it affected her political future than anything else. The puny Big Dig settlement is an obvious example, I've also suspected that the fix was in for the brothers (who got 5 years for taking a life) in the Ayer beating case, though I know of no smoking gun, so incompetence could have been he main factor. Here the facts seem clearer. So I'm left to chose between Brown or protest vote for "the other" Joe Kennedy (the one who can't hide his earnings from the IRS under Hugo Chaves's giant Citgo sign).
This reminds me of Holder NOT prosecuting the black panther thugs, or those who delayed for so long and then only brought minimal charges against the SEIU thugs who beat up a black man for passing out "Don't Tread on Me" flags.
Anything goes as long as you are in a key position to support the ultra liberals.

with regard to the Catholic priest (and yes I am Catholic and I believe many of the accused are innocent) Coakley let the man go and he went out and offended again. If she had been honest with her own Catholicism she would not have plea bargained but she would have brought the charges before the courts when the crimes were first discovered.
It is not just the Bishops who were wrong when they tried to cover up, or rather were unable to face the reality of what some priests were doing.

Just to be clear she didnt prosecute the Amirault case originally, AFAIK her only contact with the case was to advocate that he not be released. Which she did successfully, influencing the governor to keep him in jail. I agree this in itself is a horrible miscarriage of justice, as well as all the other nasty things she has done or allowed to happen.

Let's hope that a majority of Mass. voters have opened their eyes. If most of them want no part of obamacare, it just may be their wake-up call. If Coakley wins, they'll get what "they deserve", but conservatives, with their common sense, will pay a heavy price throughout the rest of the United States.
