Tipping the Scales Against Washington
by Guy BensonSeveral hours into last month’s marathon health care summit, President Obama became exasperated. Republican lawmakers Rep. Paul Ryan and Sen. Jon Kyl had plainly laid out their party’s objections to his massive legislation by emphasizing a major philosophical point of departure between the two parties. Democrats place a great deal of faith in the effectiveness and wisdom of the federal government in handling complex social and fiscal issues, they said, whereas Republicans view centralized planning and onerous regulation with a jaundiced and skeptical eye. This virtuosic issue-framing wouldn’t do, Obama concluded: “Any time the question is phrased as, ‘Does Washington know better?’ I think we’re, kind of, tipping the scales a little bit there—since we all know that everybody is angry at Washington right now,” he griped.

Indeed. Ryan and Kyl were stating the obvious: The American people don’t trust big government. Reinforcing those insecurities and applying them to the health care debate was precisely the point of raising the issue, and the president knew it. In fairness, negative perceptions of government bureaucracy certainly pre-date the Obama administration and the current “reform” battle. Cracks about the DMV’s inefficiencies and the Post Office’s red ink have long been political punch lines. (Oddly, Obama once unfavorably cited the Post Office while advocating increased federal involvement in health care). Those warmed-over bromides notwithstanding, much of today’s scorn for big government can be laid at the feet of policies proposed and instituted by President Obama and his party. Americans’ skepticism toward government intervention has grown more acute after a series of recent high-profile federal flops.
“Making Home Affordable” was the federal program introduced in February 2009 that touched-off Rick Santelli’s infamous Tea Party-catalyzing rant. It was a $75 Billion mortgage program devised to protect homeowners from foreclosure. Nobody relished the thought of fellow citizens being forced from their homes, but critics of the plan argued it would reinforce foolish bank lending practices, reward individuals for living far beyond their means, and punish responsible taxpayers with current mortgage payments. Epitomizing the program’s backwardness was the case of bus driver Minta Garcia. According to CNN, Garcia had managed to “buy” an $800,000 home that her family couldn’t remotely afford. Inevitably, she soon fell hopelessly behind on her payments. Thanks to Obama’s tax-funded munificence and empathy, she and others like her could qualify for personalized government bailouts.
These reprieves were short-lived. A January, 2010 New York Times report entitled, “US Loan Effort Is Seen As Adding to Housing Woes” painstakingly outlines how Obama’s mortgage plan actually accelerated the crisis. “Making Home Affordable,” the article explains, raised false hopes, leading struggling families to throw scarce money after bad, and merely delayed a “wrenching yet cleansing” market correction. “Desperate homeowners have sent payments to banks in often-futile efforts to keep their homes, which some see as wasting dollars they could have saved in preparation for moving to cheaper rental residences,” the piece concludes. “Some borrowers have seen their credit tarnished while falsely assuming that loan modifications involved no negative reports to credit agencies.” Oops.
The same month that President Obama rolled out his mortgage plan, he also signed his so-called “stimulus” act in to law. Team Obama overcame near-lockstep Republican opposition and convinced a majority of Americans the bill was both necessary and would prove effective. Among the promises offered in pitching the legislation was a pledge of unprecedented transparency in the process of dispersing the $800 Billion it would require. Also central to Obama’s sales pitch was an oft-repeated assurance: With the stimulus in effect, America’s rising unemployment rate would be arrested at 8 percent. Without it, unemployment could reach as high as 9 percent, the White House warned.
On both fronts, the “stimulus” has been a failure on its own terms. Millions of stimulus dollars have been doled out to phantom (ie, non-existent) Congressional districts across the country. Buckets of cash have been dispensed to recipients who were insufficiently vetted as qualified or eligible for the funds. Obama’s unemployment vow has also been exposed as fantasy. After passage of the recovery act, unemployment didn’t stop at 8 percent. It quickly rocketed past the projected worst-case scenario of 9 percent and currently floats in the vicinity of 10 percent. Coupled with discouraged job-seekers who no longer file for unemployment and the chronically under-employed, the so-called “real” national unemployment rate exceeds 16 percent. Public support for the program has cratered, with many Americans demanding that its remaining $500B be paid back. That will not happen. In short, the president’s most conspicuous early foray into big government intervention has become an unpopular and ineffective endeavor at best, a scandalously wasteful and dishonest slush fund at worst.
Administration officials may contend that quickly and efficiently spending nearly a trillion dollars in the midst of an economic crisis is an indescribably difficult task. It would be unfair, they’d say, to judge the efficacy of all federal interventions based on the stimulus (while, of course, insisting that it has been a great success). Fair enough. Let’s examine a comparatively miniscule, targeted program: Cash for clunkers. This $1 Billion program was designed to jumpstart US auto sales last summer while simultaneously protecting the environment by forcing fuel-inefficient vehicles off the roads. Terrific. Yet despite its relatively small scope and mission, this federal program—surprise!—encountered a number of unpleasant and unanticipated snags.
First, funds dried up in less than a week, shocking everyone in Washington, who apparently didn’t envision that many people jumping at the chance to let Uncle Sam help buy them a brand new car. Incredibly, many Democrats quickly declared the program a “success” because the government had run out of the free money it had promised citizens at a faster clip than expected. Two billion additional dollars were frantically pumped into “clunkers” to keep the program afloat. Its federally-operated website repeatedly crashed. Dealers complained about reams of red tape and reimbursement delays that inflicted paralyzing cash flow problems on their dealerships. Some experts observed that the energy expended to build clunker-replacing cars effectively negated any environmental benefit derived from forcing the older cars out of commission. Others wondered if trading in broken down “clunkers” for new, street-ready cars would likely result in more driving and thus more CO2 emissions. Still others angrily denounced the wastefulness of destroying every single element of the clunkers’ motors—some of which were perfectly salvageable. Too bad: The hastily-written law mandated irreversible motor destruction. Economically, the program led to a flurry of car sales in August, but proved to be little more than an expensive flash in the pan: Sales in September flat-lined to pre-“Clunkers” levels.
All of these failures share two elements in common. First, they were each proposed and enacted with the best of intentions: Helping struggling families keep their homes. Creating jobs and staving off rising unemployment. Boosting domestic auto sales. Preserving the environment. Who could possibly oppose any of these goals? Intentions, however, do not overshadow results, and the results of these programs have ranged from disappointing to outrageous.
The second commonality among these programs is that they all represent demonstrable failures of centralized, top-down government planning. Despite Washington’s best and brightest crafting policies they hoped would improve society, their solutions ultimately failed to achieve their stated goals, and in some cases inflamed the original problem. Senator Kyl and Representative Ryan are keenly aware of this dynamic, which is why their appeals to citizens’ concerns about Washington-on-steroids was a savvy and effective tactic. Obama’s maladroit attempt to delegitimize their point backfired. Not only did it invite further scrutiny into why Americans are so “angry at Washington right now,” it fueled the emerging narrative that Democrats’ “more Washington!” approach to health care amounts to political and fiscal insanity.

It's amazing how dense liberals are…they admit that everyone is angry at Washington, and yet they still continue the same behavior as before.
That is why Obama's policies and morals have normal Americans raging mad…his ego and hubris blind him to the fact that WE DON'T SUPPORT HIS POLICIES!
President Obama has meet his goals early in his term. Reparations are going along very well! He has created more debt than the working class Americans can pay back in the next 20 years and he has just begun with his treasonous deluded Progressive Commrades on the Hiill..
It is time to put the trash out, come on NOVEMBER TO REMEMBER!!!
Barry and his Keynesians, are definitely the gang that couldn’t shoot straight. You can envision these idiots looking at text books saying, “see it says it right there” …while Barry pounds his finger in the “Economics for Dummies” book! These are eggheads, zero functional experience. Look for much more harebrained, incoherent policies based on feelings.
Brilliant 16,500 new IRS Agents will only cost 1 Billion each and every year. Damn those folks in DC are really smart! Think they can help Turbo Tax Timmy and Decietful Daschle with thier taxes?
Our emoter in chief gave up on reason and logic and finally reverted to a mystical emotional moral appeal for Obamacare..he knows its "right" for America, true to Liberal form forceing citizens to buy health insurance or face going to jail, enforced by the IRS. Obama says not doin it for political reasons? lol, And why did they combine taking over the college loan market with the health care bill?, a few more goodies to give away to get some yes votes. And lets do it for "history", everything about him is historical, gettin tired of hearin how historical you are mr. prez
I haven't seen anyone say it yet so KANSAS LOST! BOs endorsements have turned into the kiss of death.
I know, off subject but I needed to say it.
Check out Stossel. He shows each week how many of us are libertarian and don't even realize it. How we've been anesthetized by too many entitlements and incremental government take-over of our lives. It sounds cliche, but we really don't realize anymore that the President is not this country. What serves him does not serve this country. We – the citizens are meant to be served by his representation and by that of those in Congress. We have to recognize and act on the fact that it's our money and time (as the working class) that this group (who has deemed and passed an unspoken rule proclaiming it a royal class that need not listen to us) that is being taken. That is contributing to an inefficient, cronie-capitalist, socialist-lite system choked by an excess of laws. And rights given to people who won't do for themselves and hiding behind institutional limitations are a pc way to clamp manacles on our wrists and obligate us (again, the working class) to pay for/subsidize those who are not even trying to do their best to reach their God-given potential.
Make no mistake… Dimocraps will do just about anything to exert – grab – abuse power, but they never do anything with the 'best of intentions' as far as the people are concerned.
The Olympics, Scott Brown and U.S.A. hockey preceded our "Nobel" "Peace" Laureate President's other ventures into picking or being a winner. Off topic is understood. Simply demonstrates (further) a trend. No apology necessary… More of the same from the joker…

LOL He's worse than the Madden Curse! If I was doing anything I'd WANT Obama to support my opponent. That way I'd know I'd win.
I've always liked Stossel. Sadly for me, I don't get Fox Business. A 'Libertarian identity' is a nice place to start, though.
Part 1
From what I read (and that is a lot) and listen to from a variety of right, left and center commentaries as well as the bills on Thomas and C-span some things are pretty obvious. Our healthcare is the envy of the world. Read the UK Guardian for a week or two about the nightmare they have. It does not make sense that we will cover a number that is illusive for the same amount (or close to it) of money. Our premiums can not go down 3000% as the President said this week. The IRS having access to my healthcare info scares the hell out of me and the 16,500 new IRS Agents will cost 1 billion or more every year going forward and 111 new agencies staffed with Federal Employees create more expense. When you get the tax rates too high on the "rich folks" and this will put them at about 55% with the states of New York and California bringing it up to 60% taxes, they will leave. If the top wage earners who pay 70% of the taxes leave (immigrate elsewhere) then all bets are off and the whole country will be bankrupt. There will not be any need for healthcare because all citizens will be slaves.
Part 2
Are the Progressives really ready in America to see China with oil rigs up and down our coasts and strip mines owned by India and Japan and a new Alaska Pipeline to the Arctic Ocean? Social Justice is fine until the rich people go broke or leave and you have no skills or jobs. Success is never a given in life but an entitlement mentality frequently produces failure.
I just don't get it.
Thx WWU, that little phrase jumped out at me also, "best of intentions", in a pigs ass.
We're glad he swapped his SB pick from the Saints to the Colts.
WHODAT
We all know that everyone is angry at Washington right now.
And we all know that Washington doesn't care what we think.
Like the many examples we are familar with (DMV, Postal Service, etc.) and the other various "enterprises" that the Federal government has involved itself with and screwed up – add to that – YOUR HEALTHCARE.
Coming soon:
(Us) "I'm sick. I think I'm dying —please …h e l p."
(Them) "Take a number SIR, fill out these forms and take a seat in the lobby…"
(Us) "But, but — I'm dyin' here!!"
(Them) "We're all dying SIR, please take a seat, there are 126 people ahead of you, thanks for visiting National Health Services, don't make me call security."
Here is a link that provides the up to the minute (or something close to it) health care vote count.
Unless I'm misreading the thing, they still seem to have a way to go before they can call it victory.

Obama couldn't give a rats ass about you, me or the homeless guy living under the highway overpass. He is using this as a vehicle to bring our country down because he hates everything it stands for.
Nicely said JJ,
with the entitlement mentality this admin and progressives in general have pushed on our economy it starts to make very little sense to even bother with a 'minimum wage'. In too many cases, people are better of on the 'dole' than they would be if they worked.
Pride is a difficult thing to put a price on but it is a tragic thing to lose. Taking hand-outs robs people of their pride while feeding them for the day.
Not a good trade off.
If a few (like 1 or 2) of the 1st to vote flip without telling San Fran Nan, this dog of an Insurance Control Bill will go down in a big flame ball that will light up the sky and we will really have some global warming!
Come on November to Remember so we can take the trash out!!!
The fight isn't over tomorrow whether Obama wins or he loses. He's demonstrated time and time again that nothing will stop him from his rabid left-wing dream of remaking America as he sees fit. The wishes of the American majority be damned.
This fight won't be over until he has packed his suitcase and he's looking for employment in Chicago. The fight won't be over until Reid and Pelosi lose their majority leadership roles. This fight is just beginning. Obama and crew woke the sleeping giant and the giant is pissed.
Their best club in their bag is the "Guilt tripificating class war wedge" cuts deeper than a 9 iron with lots more loft, but no real distance.
We all know what the road to hell is paved with, don't we?
SC, you get it THEY DON'T, or maybe they do get it and they are just plum evil.
It sucks either way!
When Obama said 'redistribute wealth' I thought anyone w/sense would never vote for him. Didn't seem to matter. When I married, we borrowed $65 for a honeymoon–which we paid back. We had nothing!!, nothing!!, only debt. Today, I'm an independent widow, and Obama et al want to redistribut our 'wealth' but it's not WEALTH, it's our LABOR! We both worked, my husband 15, 16 hrs a day. After work I typed at home, movie scripts, books, manuscripts, whatever I could get, raised children, robbed Peter to pay Paul, and all the time we both LABORED and sacrificed, carefully managed and invested what little we had as a consequence of our labor. I volunteered, give to charity, I'm in favor of caring for those who truly need help, but that's not the same as the govt taking our labor and redistributing it according to some pie-in-the-sky system of equality. When everyone who can work does work equally, then we can talk–until then, read the Constitution and support our free enterprise system.. It's jobs, jobs, jobs so that people can work–not wait for 'free' govt health care.
So what's the good news?
Social Justice and Re-Distribution.
He told us right out of the box that is what he intended to do. Those of us (47%) heard this and knew this, held our noses and voted for McLame. 53% only heard the wonderful platitudes and driven by their middle class white guilt pulled the lever to demonstrate their having risen above racism and make a personal statement.
NOW, they are starting to wake up and realize what 'fundementally changing" America means.
I try my best to rise above it but I cannot escape my resentment for those idiot independents who voted the POS as POTUS.
Though many have since repented, I hope to god they remember to think next election and stop letting their emoting dictate their voting.
Free ice cream is like idle hands.
Thank God you see the light. Please do our nation a favor and spread the word. And don't let anyone stand in your way.
SK,……….true………"no real distance", but they're not embarrassed to hack away using it
repeatedly.
Goz , the guy who said "Do something, Even if it's not any good!", will be the first on the soup-line.
He will be lying on the floor in the fetal position, sucking his thumb & calling for mommy.
Bettyhere,
You and I are cut from the same cloth and have similar life experiences. We also share many of the same views!
***Obama concluded: “Any time the question is phrased as, ‘Does Washington know better?’ I think we’re, kind of, tipping the scales a little bit there—since we all know that everybody is angry at Washington right now,” he griped.***
It's not so much that the everyone is angry at Washington, as much as everyone is angry with YOU.
Sunshine, ………..IT IS REPARATIONS! We are being punished for being too prosperous. We or
someone in our lineage stepped on the back of some poor underpaid laborer on our way to the
top, thus we must pay. In our prosperity we were creating too much competition for the truly
wealthy. We were threatening their uniqueness. When they traveled to the 3rd world they felt so
much more comfortable, so special. Here, not so much. They wish for more space between the
'classes'. This is a way of creating that distance.
SC,………..who do we bribe?………tell me where to send the money order, I'd pay big money to see
this damn thing go away. I feel like I have worried away about 5K a day on this thing.
Betty and Connie,
Both you Ladies are why this is, has been and always will be the greatest country on Earth. We'll get by this rough patch and defeat these kooky "progressives" – hang in there, a massive shift back to sanity is underway.
Thank you both and God Bless you both.
Part 1:
I think this image you conjure up is correct… and I also think it is a motivation behind his recent land-grab(s) out west via e/o. Did you see the maps Beck put up? The first was a map of the US showing federal land. Then he overlaid it with a map showing the locations of about 90% of our national resources (specifically oil and natural gas). GUESS WHAT? they are all in the same places! God forbid WE should be able to drill on what is still, for the time being, our land (oh no, WE have to go green and pay $7.00 a gallon)… but I'll be anything that the Chinese will be drilling out there sooner than you think. How else are we going to repay them? We don't manufacture squat anymore.
I wish I knew cornpone, I really wish I knew! Many of us here are over stressed with this mess that the progressives are reigning down on our heads and we can vent but lacking in true ability halt. Stop the insanity I wsant out of the fun house or I will barf all over them!
One Post At A Time!?
All Islamic Communists'
They Run Out Of Other Peoiples Money.!?
Check this out, he's going to keep some of these deals secrect – no matter what:
"The White House has refused to provide information about President Obama's negotiations with organizations such as Planned Parenthood over his impending nationalization of health care, saying he has a "privilege" to keep such communications concealed."
Like Dick Morris said today……………
"The Clintons sold the Lincoln bedroom. Barack Obama………is selling the federal government".
It'd be even funnier…………..if it weren't true.
We're not but it took the curse of BO to get them their rings.

The original framers of the Constitution said "No more kings",whether they be 3000 miles away or 300 miles away. Washington has become a city of kings, The will of the people be dammed. There is not one poll taken in the US that supports this healthcare bill. Yet the "kings" in Congress still surge ahead. Thry look upon us as the"mob, the herd, the rabble" as Sam Adams once said.
The 'new' IRS agents are not for taxes…they have been hired to monitor everyone in the USA to make sure we BUY health insurance, if we don't , they are the ones who will see to it we get fined!
At times like these important information has a way of penetrating even the most selfish and self-centered citizens among us. What's happening now is an evolution in political awareness that is in many ways unlike anything that has ever happened. Internet connectivity gives this movement a set of new legs but word-of-mouth is still the most trusted medium; one person talking to another in real life. People who have not ever paid attention to politics are paying attention now. I hope and pray enough of them love sweet Liberty enough to stand and deliver when the time comes.

And… this is why miserable excuse for a government in d.c. must be treated like a small, insolent child. "I told three times now to stop doing stupid stuff, so your punishment is no allowance for the rest of your life." Cut off the cash and the stupidity will follow!
Part of the "Best Intentions" line has to go the "Do Something" line. It so pisses me off when I hear my coworkers say we have to "Do Something" one even going so far as to saying point blank, "Even if it's not any good!" He just wants us to stop talking about it and move on to something else.
Honestly it is idiocy like that, that will kill this great country. I swear…
Yes! Let's all "deem" our taxes paid and returns sent in come April 15th. If THEY can do it, so can we. Unfortunately, that would just mean that they don't have to give us back the money they fraudulently took from us every payday for the last year. The problem with taxes is the withholding system. Stop withholding taxes from our paychecks and make us write a check every two weeks to the IRS and the income tax would be gone within six months at the outside…or the entire Congress would be impeached and tarred and feathered.
Pappa, this is a great idea to me, only…………..you and I would pay every 2 weeks, but there are those that would pay "nothing" ever, and eventually that wouldn't work. It's this entitlement deal that is destroying this country!

It would be funny as all get out if oh say 40 Dems pulled an Obama and refused to vote today. That would be justice for all of his refusals to vote in the past so he could say I did not vote for/I did not vote against, (I just did not vote)!!!
With Obamacare when you get sick you dont go see the doctor first, you go see the govt. first
True, but they will still cost us and my guess is they did not include this "cost" in the bill. Same with the Doc fix. Big bucks that are Health Care Reform (Insurance takeover contro) costs that these brilliant people have failed to acknowledge as a cost of the POS abomination.
Time to take the trash out, come on November to Remember!
BINGO suzanne! You have got it along with most others here. Wse see the future that Barack Hussein Obama is working so hard for and it destroys the working Americans way of life and empowers the non-working government teat sucking mentality while allowing the elitists to prosper at our expense or vacate to the islands or play with the Euro Trash. In essence they are saying F*** YOU American Middle Class, stay in your place!
Actually, normal Americans do support his policies. That's why they elected him President of the United States and majority Democrats in both Congress and Senate.
It's just you right wing nut jobs that have your panties in a bunch because despite your best efforts to overthrow the will of the majority through slander, distortion and the dispersal of brick-throwing, racial epithet hurling, violence threatening mobs on our nations capital, HCR is about to become a reality.
It's going to be a fun day.
The best and the brightest work in the private sector. The worst and the dumbest tend to congregate in Washington, district of criminals. A wrenching, yet cleansing purge will do immense good.
It would be an amazing feat if these spineless cowards somehow pissed in the Agitator in Chief's face with a Nay vote. However, he did scold his children earlier, "If i haveta cancel my overseas trip y'all best vote for that ScareCare or there will be hell to pay".
Obama was voted in because of the following:
People couldn't justify the war in Iraq
The press continued a non-stop attack on Bush
White guilt
Black pride in one of their own running for the top office
Voter fraud by the New Black Panthers and Acorn
Arab and George Soros money
Union flunky
The above statements are at least honest
Well, at least this bill and it disasterous outcome will be known as "Obamacare " for all of eternity. He is banking on it being a success but we all know the truth.
At least it was one of the few SB games where both teams actually showed up. Most others were major disappointments.
Common Citizens would be standing in Courts before Judges if they would've tried these "Pyramid" schemes!!!! It is time to hold these Usurpers (Criminally insane in Statesmen positions) responsible for their actions!!! It is easier to protect yourself against bands of robbers, than it is against those in the government, they are legally protected, as perverse as it might seem!!! They count the money your mentality and/or body movements generate before it ever goes into your wallet/purse!!!!! They expect and take a percentage of EVERYTHING!!!! In return they make laws, forbidding you to object!!!! As the masses have grown poorer, they grow wealthier!!! Even the blind can see, where the wealth is being transferred to!!!! While the poor suffer they party in their grand Ball Rooms, enjoying the feasts and wines, gathered from the peons/minions/pawns/masses!!!! THE POOR IS THEIR JOKER, IT HAS NO FACE VALUE, only the power they grant it, in most games it is discarded!!!!
I believe James Hudnall's 5 part missive of BG (big government) versus LG (little government) is an essential primer. It's the "Government for Dummies" for the average man.
Pretty much covers it Bruce – the troll is in for the shock of a lifetime -
But we here in the RAVEN'S nest
loved that game
Such transparency, gotta luv it! Oh and the most honest the ethical congress, in what alternate reality do these morons inhabit?!
cash only wrapped in tinfoil and put in a freezer box
I am fine with Obama trying to make peace and stop the war (which I highly want too)
But I am not fine with the way he treated his people and how he behave, making his people think that Iraq majority religion is a bad religion. And once the US majority religion dislike the Iraq majority religion, there's gonna be more UNNECESSARY religion conflicts. Who causes all the conflict? Obama!
(Go to my site to download great ringtones for peace: http://ringtonesforcellphones.info)
It's outrageous.
Nobody can name for me a really well run government agency for me, with the exception of the U.S. Marine Corps or the other military entities. I even read where the Homeland Security dolts are losing laptops and handguns all over the place. Our laptops and handguns.
Don't get me started with airport "security" section of D.H.S. They're way over paid mallcops.
How in the HELL do you lose a hangun?
(THEM) "the computer is down theres nothing we can do"
the govt. has no incentives to satisfy consumers/peoples needs, unlike private free market capitalism where the incentive is profit which is earned by convinceing people to freely use your products or services. The govts. incentive is to increase its budget. What private business would tell people to ration? none a private business looks at increased demand as an opportunity to make money and whatever company provides what the consumers need most efficiently makes profit, By helping others they help themselves. A govt. by not helping others can claim they need more and more to solve any minor problem.
yup, the damn Russians and "inner city" con-men and a host of others arer already bleeding BILLIONS fro Medicare/Medicade so lets give 'em another TRILLION of OUR tax $$$$$$$ to steal.
Like you said, if they lose a few billion, no biggie – just print some more.
This is outrageous on so many levels.
He and his wife DID TELL THE USA and the world during the campaign. They are both reported to have said that they were "ashamed" of their country, presumably the USA, where both were recipients of benefits that many others : citizens BUT WHITE poor in that country could only dream of Recipients of support , aid, largesse because of their being black, as "reparation" from the taxpayers through their representation in Washington. "Reparations" for slavery, which was abolished in the USA over a hundred years ago. None of the taxpayers could have been alive and "guilty" of keeping slaves, nor were either of the Obamas possibly directly involved with slavery. So what sort of Americans vote as Chief Executive for persons who tell them directly that they hate America and Americans?. Come on where are the know – all psychologists ?.
Typical liberal, ignoring reality. Those pesky opinion polls are just a figment of your imagination. You paint a charming picture, living your life with your head in the sand. Unfortunately, being bent over like that all the time makes you look like an a$$, literally.
You missed one crucial element bruce. Trollboy Daniel said that Americans DO support his policies, that's why they elected him.
