Will DNC Chair Tim Kaine and Congressmen Connolly and Moran Attend the Dar Al-Hijrah Fundraiser?
by Frank GaffneyGuess which elected officials are invited to the terrorist-linked Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center Annual Fundraising Dinner April 3 – and who, in spite of repeated requests, have not removed their names from the very public flyer for the event: Democratic National Committee Chair Tim Kaine, Congressman Gerry Connolly (D-VA), Congressman Jim Moran (D-VA), Fairfax Board of Supervisors Chairwoman Sharon Bulova, and Fairfax Supervisor Penny Gross, as our mini-documentary proves:
On Saturday, April 3, the terrorist-linked Islamic Center Dar Al Hijrah in the Washington DC suburbs will hold their annual fundraising banquet. The original flyer headlined that seven elected officials were “invited”: former Virginia Governor Tim Kaine, now Chair of the Democratic National Committee, Rep. Jim Moran (D-VA), Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA), Sen. James Webb (D-VA), Fairfax Board of Supervisors Chairwoman Sharon Bulova, Fairfax Supervisor Penny Gross, and Virginia State Delegate Kaye Kory. We thought that those elected officials would not want their names associated Dar Al-Hijrah, long-known as an al-Qaeda linked Islamic center, on which we had posted at Biggovernment.com on February 14. So on February 17, we mailed and faxed a letter to each of the seven elected officials, alerting them to the invitation using their names, and asking them if they would remove their names as invitees.
Within a few days, Senator James Webb and State Delegate Kaye Kory’s names were removed from the invitation.
Their offices declined to comment, but the removal of the names did follow receipt of our faxes, letters, and phone calls.
The reasons the others should not legitimate the Dar Al-Hijrah fundraiser, we had written them, included the Islamic Center’s continued support for the Dar al-Hijrah imam in 2001, Anwar Al-Awlaki, the senior al-Qaeda recruiter for three 9/11 hijackers, imam and mentor to the accused 2009 Fort Hood shooter Major Nidal Malik Hasan who killed 13 people, and online mentor to Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the suspect in the Christmas Day 2009 attempt to blow up Northwest Airlines Flight 253. We described several other Dar Al-Hijrah leaders linked to terrorism and supporting violent jihad against America, including the current imam who will host the April 3 event.
Yet – after multiple letters, faxes, emails and phone calls alerting their offices to the invitation listing their names – as of Sunday, March 28, 2010, Congressmen Connolly and Moran, former Governor and current DNC Chairman Tim Kaine, Fairfax Board of Supervisors Chairwoman Bulova and Supervisor Penny Gross have all chosen to keep their names on the invitation. Governor Tim Kaine’s spokesman did comment that they had not received an invitation and would not attend, but declined to comment on whether they had asked for Kaine’s name to be removed from the invitation.
So, if these five officials DO attend the dinner they have helped publicize now for over a month, here’s some background on their jihadist host, the current Imam at Dar Al-Hijrah, Shaker Elsayed. Taken word for word from the letters they were mailed – and faxed – and then faxed again.
On February 17, we mailed this information on Imam Elsayed to Rep. Gerry Connolly and the others:
“Mr. Elsayed, the current Imam and a dual citizen of Egypt and the U.S., openly supports the terrorist organization Hamas, including their doctrine advocating the destruction of Israel. In 2005, shortly after becoming Dar Al-Hijrah’s Imam, he preached that ‘Islam forbids you to give allegiance to those who kick you off your homeland, and to those who support those who kick you off your homeland…We do have license to respond with all force necessary to answer our attackers.’ ”
And on February 17, Congressman Jim Moran’s letter, like all the others, told him this info on Imam Elsayed
“According to video available online at the Investigative Project on Terrorism, in 2002 at a conference sponsored by the Muslim American Society, Mr. Elsayed stated (translated from Arabic): ‘And about the subject unfairly named suicide bombers, homicide bombers, or murderers, or killers. Our answer to this issue is simple. To decide that this man is a martyr or not a martyr, it is a pure religious matter. Nobody who is not Muslim has any right to decide for us, we the Muslims, whose is a martyr or another. We as Muslims will decide that. It is in-house business.[...]‘ “
And the letter we sent – same day – to Former Governor Tim Kaine, now Chairman of the Democratic National Committee, told him as well as the others about this quote from Imam Elsayed:
“The Islamic scholars said whenever there is an attack on an Islamic state or occupation, or the honor of the Muslims has been violated, the Jihad is a must for everyone, a child, a lady and a man. They have to make Jihad with every tool that they can get in their hand. Anything that they can get in their hand and if they don’t have anything in their hand then they can fight with their hand without weapons.”
These five elected officials’ names are still on the flyer. Only five days remain for them to tell the American public whether they support Imam Shaker Elsayed and his jihadist doctrines.

But not if it A) focus groups badly (it will), and B) if they are 'outed'. Which, of course, they now are. Cowards to the last, these weenies will pull out and pretend the invite was both 'wrong and an evil plot to dirty their pristine reputations', or something like that.

I, for one, would like to see the list of those who attend. No doubt, Obama will send a representative, unless of course, his arrogance has reached such mythical heights that he’ll attend in person.
Not that it matters whether he attends or not, you just know he’ll be there ‘in spirit.’
Who’s inciting violence now, Democrats? I don’t see the Tea Party attending events that are hosted by people who are directly linked to terrorists. Better bring some eggs in case you don’t like what’s said there!
Can someone please tell me where in the U.S. Constitution I can find the Article which gives our Federal Government the authority to harbor this group in the name of Freedom of Religion? Thanks!

I think I'd like Connolly to attend this thing. He's up for re-election in November. This would give his opponent, either Herrity or Fimian, a great real life example of his "loyalaties". Remember many Fairfax County citizens were murdered, burned and otherwise horribly injured in the 911 attack on the Pentagon. That's an ad just waiting to be run. Matter of fact, if he attends this thing, the county Republicans should start running the ad immediately and right on through the election.
DNC chairman tim Kaine is a race hustler, he was able to seek the governorship of VA after securing close to 100 million dollars from Nationwide insurance in a "redlining" lawsuit. The lawsuit was based on Nationwide not returning telephone calls to people, Kaines sophistry portrayed this as racist redlining, my question will always be how can someone be racist by hearing a telephone call, obviously you cant tell someones race from the sound of a voice. So Obama knows Kaine knows how to use race and this in my opinion is why Kaine is head of the DNC

Secondly, the acts against the British were basically in self defense as the British were acting at the behest of the Soviets in denying the Jews from leaving Europe after the war. The Soviets were lowering the Iron Curtain and were denying anybody from fleeing their grasp.
Again, what would you have done had you survived the carnage? And, what would you do to never experience that again? Just asking.

You are right on with this. Obama has his finger on that pulse. He always had Tim Kaine and Jim Webb in his pocket. I would like to know where Warner is in all of this. He seems to be laying low, but it would not surprise me if he showed up. It would really depend on which side of his mouth he is speaking out of at the time.

I'm kind of disappointed that there are not too many comments here. I know right now that HC is our biggest irritating issue, but these elected officials, who we pay are going to honor this event for a group that is Al-Queada linked. Thank you Frank Gaffney for this article. It disgusts me that these elected officials will attend this event and don't mind that their names are linked. All I can say is that at the next terrorist attack, I hope these officials are at the head of the table. If you play with fire you will be burned. Just because we 'make nice' with our enemies doesn't mean they are not going to kill us. If we are supposed to be getting something out of the "special" relationships with terrorists why did we have 14 army boys wacked in Texas, and another shot in a drive by in Arkansas and have a would be panty bomber? Hasn't helped any, so I say we waterboard a bunch of them and save some of our boys.

I keep forgetting about Holder. I think he his enjoying the Health Care fiasco, it diverts attention from him. As long as we are focused on extracting the HC legislation, he can start 'working' again. I sit here and wonder 'what happened'. Honestly there were 4th of Julys in the past that were so fun, so memorable, watching the fireworks and the parades. This 4th of July all I can wonder is if we will even be allowed to have fireworks to celebrate the birth of our country or if that will be just 'too patriotic and right wing'. Maybe we will be forced to make Ramadan a national holiday to appease the enemy.
I was watching on PJTV.com awhile ago and they had a named off several, i mean quite a few, more than you have name of attempted terrorism, but none of it made the news that I can recall, but then again I never use to pay that much attention to news. Does anyone know why this Dar Al-Hijrah group is having a fund raiser. Call me silly, but weren't we trying to cut off the funding to terrorist groups? Maybe I misunderstand our Homeland security?

I have the same question. The unmitigated gall of these maggots is shocking. Why do they not fear the press (okay, I know the answer to that one) or the American people? Do they know something that we don't? Along that train of thought . . . does anyone wonder, like I do, whether there will be fair elections this fall and/or in 2012—or whether there will be elections at all?

I've thought about it. Either they will be rigged up with dead ppl voting, or there will be some reason that the elections cant be carried out… (unrest in the Nation) and marshal law is called. Nothing would surprise me.
I say: If these politicians attend, we should use their attending against them the next time they campaign.
If Tim Kaine attends, the Dems will end up with egg all over their faces the next time that mosque is linked to a jihad attack here in America. And make no mistake: there will be more attacks. The ramping-up has already started.
These guys have been donating to Moran for a long long time. This is where he gets his money. His district has been gerrymandered so that all the wacko-fringe is in one district and they elect HIM. On the day after 9-11 he was the first to stand up and say not to blame the muslims, yet because of his earmarks and these guys no one can or will even run against him in the primary.
